عمر النبراوي – سورة المؤمنون – الآية [51 – 77]

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم

I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed devil.

يا أيها الرسل كلوا من الطيبات وعملوا صالحا

O messengers, eat from the good things and do righteous deeds.

إني بما تعملون عليم

Indeed, I am All-Aware of what you do.

وإن هذه أمتكم أمة واحدة وأنا ربكم فاتقون

"And indeed this is your nation, one nation, and I am your Lord, so fear Me."

فتقطعوا أمرهم بينهم زبرا

"And they divided their affair among themselves into groups."

كل حزب بما لديهم فرحون

"Every party is happy with what they have."

فذرهم في غمرتهم حتى حين

"Then leave them in their overwhelming confusion for a time."

أيحسبون أن ما نمدهم به من مال وبنين

Do they think that what We extend to them of wealth and children

نسارع لهم في الخيرات بل لا يشعرون

"We rush for them in good deeds, but they do not perceive."

إن الذين هم من خشية ربهم مشفقون

Indeed, those who are in awe of their Lord are fearful.

والذين هم بآيات ربهم يؤمنون

And those who believe in the signs of their Lord.

والذين هم بربهم لا يشركون

And those who do not associate anything with their Lord.

والذين يؤتون ما آتوا وقلوبهم وجلة أنهم إلى ربهم راجعون

And those who give what they give while their hearts are trembling because they will be returning to their Lord.

أولئك يسارعون في الخيرات وهم لها سابقون

Those are the ones who hasten to good deeds, and they are the foremost in them.

ولا نكلف نفسا إلا وسعها

And We do not burden a soul except within its capacity.

ولدينا كتاب ينطق بالحق وهم لا يظلمون

"And we have a book that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged."

بل قلوبهم في غمرة من هذا ولهم أعمال من دون ذلك هم لها عاملون

But their hearts are in a state of oblivion regarding this, and they have deeds other than that which they are actively engaged in.

حتى إذا أخذنا مترفيهم بالعذاب إذا هم يجأرون

"Until, when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, they cry out for help."

لا تجأروا اليوم إنكم منا لا تنصرون

Do not cry out today; indeed, you are not supported by us.

قد كانت آياتي تتلى عليكم فكنتم على أعقابكم

My verses were recited to you, but you turned back on your heels.

وتنكصون

And you turn back.

مستكبرين به سامرا تهجرون

Arrogantly abandoning it, you roam Samarra.

أفلم يدبروا القول أم جاءهم ما لم يأت آباءهم الأولين

"Have they not contemplated the word, or has there come to them what did not come to their forefathers?"

أم لم يعرفوا رسولهم فهم له منكرون

Or did they not recognize their Messenger, so they deny him?

أم يقولون به جنة بل جاءهم بالحق وأكثرهم للحق كارهون

Or do they say that he is possessed? Rather, he has brought them the truth, but most of them dislike the truth.

ولو اتبع الحق أهواءهم لفسدت السماوات والأرض ومن فيهن

"If the truth had followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all who are in them would have certainly become corrupt."

بل أتيناهم بذكرهم فهم عن ذكرهم معرضون

"Indeed, We have brought them their reminder, but they are turning away from their reminder."

أم تسألهم خرجا فخراج ربك خير وهو خير الرازقين

"Or do you ask them for a payment? But the provision of your Lord is better, and He is the best of providers."

وإنك لتدعوهم إلى صراط مستقيم

"And indeed, you invite them to a straight path."

ولو رحمناهم وكشفنا ما بهم من ضر للجوا في طغيانهم يعمهون

"And if We had mercy on them and removed the harm that was upon them, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly."

ولقد أخذناهم بالعذاب فما استكانوا لربهم وما يتضرعون

And We seized them with punishment, but they did not humble themselves to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate.

حتى إذا فتحنا عليهم بابا ذا عذاب شديد إذا هم فيه مبلسون

"Until when We open for them a gate of severe punishment, thereupon they will be in despair therein."
