الله أكبر

God is the Greatest.

الحمد لله رب العالمين

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds.

الرحمن الرحيم

The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

مالك يوم الدين إياك نعبد وإياك نستعين

Owner of the Day of Judgment, You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help.

إهدنا الصراط المستقيم صراط الذين أنعمت عليهم

Guide us on the straight path, the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor.

غير المغضوب عليهم ولا الضالين

"Neither those who have earned Your wrath nor those who have gone astray."

الله لا إله إلا هو الحي القيوم

Allah, there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence.

نزل عليك الكتاب بالحق مصدقا لما بين يديك

The book has been revealed to you with the truth, confirming what is before you.

وأنزل التوراة والإنجيل

And He sent down the Torah and the Gospel.

من قبل هدى للناس وأنزل الفرقان

"Guidance for the people and the Criterion was revealed."

إن الذين كفروا بآيات الله لهم عذاب

Indeed, those who disbelieve in the signs of Allah will have a punishment.

شديد

Severe

والله عزيز ذو انتقام

"By God, He is Exalted in Might and Owner of Retribution."

إن الله لا يخفى عليه شيء في الأرض ولا في السماء

Indeed, nothing is hidden from Allah, neither in the earth nor in the heavens.

هو الذي يحفظه ويحفظه

He is the one who preserves him and protects him.

هو الذي يصوركم في الأرحام كيف يشاء

He is the one who shapes you in the wombs as He wills.

لا إله إلا هو العزيز الحكيم

There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

هو الذي أنزل عليك الكتاب منه آياته

He it is Who has sent down to you the Book; in it are verses that are clear.

آيات محكمات هن أم الكتاب

"Clear verses are the foundation of the Book."

وأخر متشابهات

"And other similar ones."

فأما الذين في قلوبهم زيغون

As for those in whose hearts is a deviation...

فيتبعون ما تشابه منه

So they follow what is similar to it.

ابتغاء الفتنة

Seeking sedition.

وابتغاء تأويله

"And seeking its interpretation."

وما يعلم تأويله إلا الله

"And none knows its interpretation except Allah."

والراسخون

And the steadfast.

في العلم يقولون

In science, they say

آمنا به كل من عند ربنا

We believe in Him, all from our Lord.

وما يذكر إلا أولو الألباب

"And none will remember except those of understanding."

ربنا لا تزر قلوبنا

Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate.

بعد إذ هديتنا

After You have guided us.

وهبنانا

Wahbanana

ولنا من لدنك رحمة

"And grant us from Yourself mercy."

إنك أنت الوهاب

Indeed, You are the Bestower.

ربنا إنك جامع الناس

"Our Lord, indeed You gather the people."

ليوم لا ريب فيه

A day in which there is no doubt.

إن الله لا يخلف الميعين

Indeed, Allah does not break His promise.

إن الذين كفروا لن تغني عنهم أموالهم

Indeed, those who disbelieve, their wealth will not avail them.

ولا أولادهم من الله شيئا

"And their children do not possess anything from Allah."

وأولئك هم وقود من الله

And those are the fuel of Allah.

وكذبوا بآياتنا

And they denied our signs.

كذبوا بآياتنا

They lied against our signs.

فأخذهم الله بذنوبهم

So Allah took them for their sins.

والله شديد العقاب

Indeed, Allah is severe in punishment.

قل للذين كذبوا

Say to those who lied.

ستغلبون وتحشرون إلى جهنم وبئس المهاد

You will be defeated and gathered to Hell, and it is an evil resting place.

قد كان لكم آية في فئتين التقطا

"Indeed, there was for you a sign in the two armies that met."

فئة تقاتل في سبيل الله وأخرى كافرة

A group fights for the sake of God and another is unbelieving.

ومن يرونهم مثليهم رأي العين

"And those who see them as if they were their own eyes."

والله يؤيد بنصره من يشاء

And Allah supports with His victory whom He wills.

إن في ذلك لعبرة لأولي الأبصار

Indeed, in that is a lesson for those who have insight.

ترجمة نانسي قنقر

Translation of Nancy Qanqar

زين للناس حب الشهوات من النساء والبنين

"Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire of women and children."

والقناطير المقنطرة من الذهب والفضة

"And the measured quantities of gold and silver."

والخيل المسومة والأنعام والحرف

"And the marked horses, and the cattle, and the plowing."

ذلك متاع الحياة الدنيا

That is the enjoyment of worldly life.

والله عنده حسن المآب

And indeed, with Allah is the best return.

قل أأنبئكم بخير من ذلكم

Say, "Shall I inform you of something better than that?"

للذين اتقوا عند ربهم جميعا

For those who are mindful of their Lord, all together.

جنات تجري من تحتها الأنهار

Gardens beneath which rivers flow.

خالدين فيها وأزواج مطهرة ورئيسية

They will remain in it forever, with purified spouses and companions.

إضوان من الله

Guidance from God.

والله بصير بالعباد

"By Allah, He is All-Seer of His servants."

الذين يقولون ربنا

Those who say, "Our Lord"

إننا آمننا فاغفرنا

Indeed, we have believed, so forgive us.

ذنوبنا وقنا عذاب النار

Our sins and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

الصابرين والصادقين

The patient and the truthful.

والقانتين والمنفقين

And the devout and those who spend.

والمستغفرين بالأسحار

And those who seek forgiveness in the early hours of the morning.

والأصدقاء والنباليين

And the friends and the nobles.

والعباد الزوجين والمستغفرين

"And the servants are two types: those who are devoted and those who seek forgiveness."

والحفصين والقانون

And the Hafsain and the law.

والأذنى والبقية

And the lower and the rest.

والعناصر والعناصر

The elements and the elements.

والقانون والعرق

The law and race.

والقهاية والأقوام

And the end and the nations.

لا إله إلا هو العزيز الحكيم

There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

إن الدين عند الله الإسلام

Indeed, the religion with Allah is Islam.

وما اختلف الذين أوتوا الكتاب إلا من بعد ما جاءهم العلم بغيا بينهم

"And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to them, out of transgression among themselves."

ومن يكفر بآيات الله فإن الله سريع الحساب

And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah, then Allah is swift in account.

فإن الله سريع الحساب

Indeed, Allah is swift in reckoning.

وإن حاجوك فقل أسلمت وجهي لله ومن اتبعا

"And if they argue with you, say, 'I have surrendered my face to Allah, and so has whoever follows me.'"

وقل للذين أوتوا الكتاب والأمين أأسلمتم

And say to those who were given the Scripture and the unlettered, "Have you submitted?"

فإن أسلموا فقد اهتدوا

If they embrace Islam, they have indeed found guidance.

وإن تولوا فقد اهتدوا

And if they turn away, they have indeed been guided.

فإنما عليك البلاغ

"Your duty is only to convey the message."

والله بصير بالعباد

"By God, He sees the servants."

إن الذين يكفرون بآيات الله

Indeed, those who disbelieve in the signs of God.

ويقتلون النبيين بغير الله

"And they kill the prophets without reason."

ويقتلون النبيين بغير حق

And they kill the prophets unjustly.

ويقتلون الذين يأمرون بالقسط من الناس

"And they kill those who enjoin justice among the people."

فبشرهم بعذاب أليم

So give them glad tidings of a painful punishment.

أولئك الذين يكفرون بغير الله

Those who disbelieve in other than Allah.

أولئك الذين حبطت أعمالهم في الدنيا والآخرة

Those whose deeds have been nullified in this world and the Hereafter.

وما لهم من ناصرين

And they have no supporters.

ألم تر إلى الذين أوتوا نصيبا من الكتاب

"Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture?"

يدعون إلى كتاب الله ليحكم بينهم

"They call for the Book of God to judge between them."

ثم يتولى فريق منهم وهم معرضون

Then a team of them takes over while they are averse.

ذلك بأنهم قالوا

That is because they said.

لن تحكموا

You will not rule.

سمسنا النار إلا أياما معدودات

We were given fire except for a few counted days.

وغرهم في دينهم ما كانوا يفترون

"And they were deceived in their religion by what they used to fabricate."

فكيف إذا جمعناهم ليوم لا ريبا

So how (will it be) when we gather them for a Day of which there is no doubt?

فيه

In it

ووفيت كل نفس ما كسبت

"And every soul will be compensated for what it earned."

وهم لا يظلمون

And they will not be wronged.

قل اللهم مالك الملك

Say, "O Allah, Owner of the Kingdom."

تؤتي الملك مالك الملك

"You give the kingdom to whom You will."

ومن تشاء وتنزع الملك ممن تشاء

"And You give the kingdom to whom You will, and You take away the kingdom from whom You will."

وتعز من تشاء وتذل من تشاء

You honor whom you will and you humble whom you will.

بيدك الخير إليك

Goodness is in your hands.

إنك على كل شيء قدير

Indeed, You are All-Powerful over everything.

تولج الليل في النهار

You merge the night into the day.

وتولج النهار في الليل

"And You bring the night into the day."

وتخرج الحي من الميت

And the living comes out from the dead.

وتخرج الميت من الحي

And the dead is brought out from the living.

وترزق من تشاء بغير حساب

"And You provide for whom You will without account."

الحمد لله رب العالمين

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

الرحمن الرحيم

The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings.

والسلام عليكم وبركاته

And peace be upon you and His blessings.

ورحمة الله وبركاته

And the mercy of Allah and His blessings.

وهدنا الصراط المستقيم صراط الذين أنعمت عليهم

And guide us to the straight path, the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor.

غير المغضوب عليهم ولا الضالين

"Neither those who have earned Your anger nor those who have gone astray."

إذا زلزلت الأرض زلزالها وأخرجت الأرض أفقالها

When the earth is shaken with its shake, and the earth brings forth its burdens.

وقال الإنسان ما لها يومئذ تحدث أخبارها

And the human said, "What is wrong with it that day that it will report its news?"

يومئذ تحدث أخبارها بأن ربك أوحى لها

On that Day, it will report its news, because your Lord has commanded it.

يومئذ يصدر الناس أشتاة ليروا أعمالهم

On that day, people will be separated to see their deeds.

فمن يعمل مفقال ذرة خيرين

So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it.

ومن يعمل مفقال ذرة شرير

And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it.

الحمد لله رب العالمين

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

الرحمن الرحيم

The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful

مالك يوم التقوى

Master of the Day of Judgment

إياك نعبد وإياك نستعين

You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help.

إهدنا الصراط المستقيم

Guide us to the straight path.

صراط الذين أنعمت عليهم

The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor.

غير المغضوب عليهم ولا الضال

Not the ones who have earned Your anger, nor those who have gone astray.

غير المؤمنون

The unbelievers.

فرحانك مpson

Your happiness is my joy.

ه

فأنا عابد ما عبدتم ولا أنتم عابدون ما أعبد

"For I worship not what you worship, nor do you worship what I worship."

لكم دينكم ولي دين

To you be your religion, and to me my religion.

الحمد لله رب العالمين

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

الرحمن الرحيم

The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

مالك يوم الدين

Master of the Day of Judgment

إياك نعبد وإياك نستعين

You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help.

اهدنا الصراط المستقيم

Guide us to the straight path.

صراط الذين أتوا

The path of those who have come.

أنعمت عليهم

You have bestowed favors upon them.

غير المغضوب عليهم

not of those who have evoked [Your] anger

ولا الظالمين

Nor the oppressors.

قل هو الله أحد

Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One."

الله الصمد

Allah, the Eternal Refuge.

لم ينعمه

He did not enjoy it.

ولم يلد ولم يولد

He neither begets nor is born.

ولم يكن له كفوا أحد

And no one was equal to him.

اللهم اهدنا في من هديت

O Allah, guide us among those whom You have guided.

وعافنا في من عافيت

And grant us wellness among those You have granted wellness.

وتولنا في من توليت

"And take charge of those whom You have taken charge of."

وبارك لنا في ما أعطيت

And bless us in what You have given.

وقنا واصرف عنا شر ما قضيتنا

"And protect us, and turn away from us the evil of what You have decreed for us."

إنك تقضي ولا يقضى عليك

"You decree and none decrees upon you."

إنه لا يذل من واليت

"He does not humiliate those whom I support."

ولا يعز من عاديت

And no one is honored by those you oppose.

تباركت ربنا وتعاليت

Blessed are You, our Lord, and Exalted.

لك الحمد على ما قضيت

All praise is due to You for what You have decreed.

ولك الشكر على ما أعطيت

And thank you for what you have given.

نستغفرك من جميعنا

We seek Your forgiveness for all of us.

لننفع الذنوب والخطايا

Let us benefit from sins and mistakes.

ونتوب إليك

And we repent to You.

اللهم إنا نستغفرك من الذنوب

O Allah, we ask Your forgiveness for our sins.

ونتوب إليك

And we repent to You.

اللهم اغفر لنا ذنوبنا

O Allah, forgive us our sins.

اللهم إنا نسألك العفو والعافية

O Allah, we ask You for forgiveness and health.

في الدنيا والآخرة

In this world and the Hereafter.

اللهم إنا نسألك العفو والعافية

O Allah, we ask You for pardon and well-being.

في ديننا ودنيانا

In our religion and our world.

وأهلنا وأموالنا

And our family and our wealth.

اللهم استر عيوبنا

O Allah, conceal our faults.

برحمتك يا أرحم الراحمين

By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

اللهم إنك عفو تحب العفو فاعف عنا

O Allah, You are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive us.

اللهم اشف مرضانا

O Allah, heal our sick.

اللهم اشف مرضانا ومرضى المسلمين

O Allah, cure our sick and the sick among the Muslims.

وعنك

"And about you"

اللهم اشف مبتلانا ومبتل المسلمين

O Allah, heal our afflicted ones and the afflicted among the Muslims.

اللهم إنا نستغفرك ونتوب إليك

O Allah, we seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.

اللهم تقبل منا الصيام والقيام وسائر الأعمال

O Allah, accept from us the fasting, standing in prayer, and all other good deeds.

اللهم ارزقنا الإخلاص في القول والعمل

O Allah, grant us sincerity in words and deeds.

ربنا آتنا في الدنيا حسنة

Our Lord, grant us in this world good.

وفي الآخرة حسنة

And in the Hereafter is good.

وقنا عذاب النار

And protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

اللهم إنا نسألك من الخير كله عاجله وآجله

O Allah, we ask You for all good, both immediate and future.

ما علمنا منه وما لم نعلم

What we know of it and what we do not know.

ونعوذ بك من الشر كله عاجله وآجله

And we seek refuge in You from all evil, both immediate and eventual.

ما علمنا منه وما لم نعلم

What we have learned from it and what we have not learned.

وصل اللهم وسلم على نبينا محمد

O Allah, send Your blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad.

وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين

"And upon his family and companions altogether."

الله أكبر

God is the Greatest.

الحمد لله رب العالمين

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

الرحمن الرحيم

The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful

مالك يوم الدين إياك نعبد

Master of the Day of Judgment, You alone we worship.

وإياك نستعين

And You alone we ask for help.

إهدنا الصراط المستقيم

Guide us to the straight path.

وصراط الذين أنعمت عليهم

And the path of those whom You have favored.

غير المغضوب عليهم ولا الضالين

Not the ones who have earned your anger nor the misguided.

الذين التtraudятكبون

Those who deceive.

بحضور ما جاءتك

With the presence of what has come to you.

والا متعرض لك

Otherwise, I will be exposed to you.

والآخرة

And the Hereafter.

الثمين

The precious

الثنين

Monday

السوء الزواج

The bad marriage

والعلم

and knowledge

واللعبة

And the game.

على ما ينام

What does it sleep on?

والنور

And the light.

والمعرش

And the arbour.

والسلوك

and behavior

والك condemnation

And the condemnation.

мы

We.

أحترم

I respect.

الثمين

The precious.

مصدقا لما بين يديه وأنزل التوراة والإنجيل

Confirming what is before him and having sent down the Torah and the Gospel.

من قبل هدى للناس وأنزل الفرقان

"Guidance for people and the criterion was revealed."

إن الذين كفروا بآيات الله لهم عذاب شديد

Indeed, those who disbelieve in the verses of Allah will have a severe punishment.

والله عزيز ذو انتقام

"Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and He is Capable of Retribution."

إن الله لا يخفى عليه شيء في الله

Indeed, nothing is hidden from Allah.

ولا في الأرض ولا في السماء

Neither in the earth nor in the sky.

هو الذي يصوركم في الأرحام كيف يشاء

He is the One who shapes you in the wombs as He wills.

لا إله إلا هو العزيز الحكيم

There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

هو الذي يخفى عليه شيء في الله

He is the one who is unaware of something in regard to God.

الذي أنزل عليك الكتاب منه آيات محكمات

"That which He has sent down to you, the Book, contains verses that are precise."

هن أم الكتاب

They are the Mother of the Book.

آيات محكمات هن أم الكتاب

The clear verses are the foundation of the Book.

وأخر متشابها

"And another similar one."

فأما الذين في قلوبهم زيغون

As for those in whose hearts is a deviation.

فيتبعون ما تشابه منه ابتغاء الفتنة

They follow what is similar in it seeking discord.

وابتغاء تأويله

"And seeking its interpretation."

وما يعلم تأويله

"And none knows its interpretation."

فأما الذين في قلوبهم زيغون

As for those in whose hearts is a deviation.

إلا الله

Except for God.

والراسخون في العلم يقولون

"And those firm in knowledge say."

آمنا به كل من عند ربنا

"We believe in him, all of us from our Lord."

وما يذكر إلا أولو الألباب

"And none will remember except those of understanding."

ربنا لا تزر قلوبنا بعد إذ هديتنا

Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us.

وهب لنا من لدنك رحمة

"And grant us from Yourself mercy."

إنك أنت الوهاب

Indeed, You are the Bestower.

ربنا إنك جامع الناس ليوم لا ريب فيه

Our Lord, indeed, You will gather the people for a Day about which there is no doubt.

إن الله لا يخلف الميعاد

Indeed, Allah does not break His promise.

إن الذين كفروا لن تغني عنهم أموالهم

Indeed, those who disbelieve, their wealth will not avail them.

ولا أولادهم من الله شيئا

"Nor their children from God anything."

وأولئك هم وقود النار

And those are the fuel for the fire.

كدأ بآل فرعون والذين من قبلهم

Like the custom of Pharaoh's people and those before them.

كذبوا بآياتنا فأخذهم الله بذنوبهم

They denied Our signs, so Allah seized them for their sins.

والله شكرا لهم

By God, thank them.

وشديد العقاب

"And severe in punishment."

قل للذين كفروا ستغنبون وتحشرون إلى جهنم

Say to those who disbelieve, you will be defeated and gathered to Hell.

وبئس المهاد

And wretched is the cradle.

قد كان لكم آية في فئتين التقطا

"Indeed, there was for you a sign in the two armies that met."

فئة تقاتل في سبيل الله وأخرى كافرة

A group fighting for the sake of God and another unbelieving group.

إن يرونهم مثليهم رأي العين

If they see them, they will see them with their own eyes.

والله سبحانه وتعالى

And Allah, the Exalted and Majestic

سبحانه وتعالى

Glory be to Him, the Exalted.

والله سبحانه وتعالى

And Allah, the Exalted and Most High

الله يؤيد بنصره من يشاء

God supports with His victory whom He wills.

إن في ذلك لعبرة لأولي الأبصار

Indeed, in that is a lesson for those with insight.

زين للناس حب الشغوات من النساء والبنات

"Beautified for people is the love of desires from women and girls."

والقناطير المقنطرة من الذهب والفضة والخيل المسومة والأنعام والحرف

"And the channelled treasures of gold and silver, and the fine branded horses, and cattle, and tilled land."

ذلك متاع الحياة الدنيا

That is the provision of the worldly life.

والله عندنا

By God, we have.

وعنده حسن المآب

And with Him is a good return.

قل أأنبئكم بخير من ذلك

Say, "Shall I inform you of something better than that?"

للذين اتقوا عند ربهم جنات تجري من تحتها الأنهار

"For those who fear [their] Lord are gardens beneath which rivers flow."

جنات تجري من تحتها الأنهار

Gardens beneath which rivers flow.

خالدين فيها

They will abide therein forever.

وأزواج مطهرة ورضوان من الله

"And purified spouses and [His] pleasure from Allah."

والله بصير من الناس

By God, I can see people.

بالعباد

By the servants.

الذين يقولون ربنا

Those who say, "Our Lord"

إننا آمنا

Indeed, we have believed.

فاغفر لنا ذنوبنا

So forgive us our sins.

وقنا عذابا

And save us from the torment.

لنا عذابا

We have a punishment.

النار الصابرين والصادقين والقانتين والمنفقين والمستغفرين بالأسحار

The fire of the patient, the truthful, the devout, those who spend, and those who seek forgiveness in the early hours of the morning.

شهد الله أنه لا إله إلا هو والملائكة وأولو العلم قائمون

Allah witnesses that there is no deity except Him, and so do the angels and those of knowledge, standing firm.

ومن بالقسط لا إله إلا هو العزيز الحكيم

And there is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

إن الدين عند الله الإسلام

Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam.

وما اختلف الذين أوتوا الكتاب إلا من بعد ما جاء

"And those who were given the scripture did not differ until after the coming of the clear proof."

أهم العلم بغيا بينهم

The most important knowledge is the one that is sought among them.

ومن يكفر بآيات الله فإن الله سريع الحساب

And whoever disbelieves in the signs of Allah, then Allah is swift in account.

فإن حاجوك فقل أسلمت وجهي لله ومن إليه

If they argue with you, say: "I have submitted my face to Allah, and so have those who follow me."

اتبعا

Follow me.

وقل للذين أوتوا الكتاب والأميين

"And say to those who were given the Scripture and to the unlettered ones..."

أأسلمتم فإن أسلموا فقد اهتدوا

"Have you submitted? If they submit, then they have indeed found guidance."

وإن تولوا فإنما عليك البلاغ

And if they turn away, then your duty is only to deliver the message.

والله بصير

By God, I see.

بالعباد

By the servants

إن الذين يكفرون بآيات الله ويقتلون النبيين بغير حق

Indeed, those who disbelieve in the signs of God and kill the prophets unjustly.

ويقتلون النبيين بغير حق

And they kill the prophets without right.

والذين يأمرون بالقسط من الناس

And those who command justice among the people.

فبشرهم بعذاب أليم

So give them the glad tidings of a painful punishment.

أولئك الذين حبطت أعمالهم في الدنيا والآخرة

Those whose deeds have been rendered worthless in this world and the Hereafter.

وما لهم من ناصرين

"And they have no supporters."

ألم تر إلى الذين أوتوا نصيبا من الكتاب

"Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Book?"

يدعون إلى كتاب الله ليحكم بينهم

They call for the Book of Allah to judge between them.

ثم يتولون

Then they turn away.

لا فريق منهم وهم معرضون

They are not a team, and they are exposed.

ذلك بأنهم قالوا

That is because they said

لن تمسنا النار إلا أياما معدودا

The fire will not touch us except for a few numbered days.

وغرهم في دينهم ما كانوا يفترون

"And they were deceived in their religion by what they used to fabricate."

فكيف إذا جمعناهم ليوم لا ريب فيه

So how will it be when we gather them for a day about which there is no doubt?

ووفيت كل نفس ما كسبت

"And every soul will be compensated for what it earned."

وهم لا يظلمون

And they are not wronged.

قل اللهم مالك الملك تؤتي الملك من تشاء

Say, "O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will."

وتنزع الملك ممن تشاء

"And You take away the kingdom from whom You will."

وتعز من تشاء

"And You honor whom You will."

وتذل من تشاء

"And You humiliate whom You will."

بيدك الخير إنك على كل شيء قدير

In Your hand is good; indeed, You are capable of all things.

تولج الليل في النهار

You bring the night into the day.

وتولج النهار في الليل

"And You bring the day into the night."

وتخرج الحي من الميت

And the living comes out of the dead.

وتخرج الميت من الحي

"And the dead emerges from the living."

وترزق من تشاء بغير حيها

"And You provide for whom You will without account."
