هلال بن امية

هلال بن أمية رضي الله عنه

Hilaal ibn Umayyah, may Allah be pleased with him.

يقول الله تعالى

Allah, the Exalted, says.

والذين يرمون أزواجهم ولم يكن لهم شهداء إلا أنفسهم فشهادة أحدهم

"And those who accuse their wives and have no witnesses except themselves, then the testimony of one of them..."

فشهادة أحدهم أربع شهادات بالله إنه لمن الصادقين

One person's testimony is four testimonies by God that he is among the truthful.

نزلت هذه الآية كما قال ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما

This verse was revealed as Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said.

في هلال بن أمية رضي الله عنه

In Hilal bin Umayyah, may Allah be pleased with him.

الذي قذف امرأته عند النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم

The one who accused his wife in front of the Prophet (peace be upon him).

بشريك ابن سحماء

With a partner son of Samhah.

فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said.

البين أو حد في ظهرك

The separator or a boundary in your back.

فقال هلال بن أمية

Hilal ibn Umayyah said

والذي بعثك بالحق إني لصادق

"And I swear by the One who sent you with the truth, I am indeed truthful."

ولينزلن الله في أمري ما يبرئ ظهري

"And Allah will surely bring down in my matter what relieves my back."

قال فنزلت

He said, "So I descended."

والذين يرمون أزواجهم

And those who accuse their spouses.

حتى بلغ

Until he reached.

والخامسة أن غضب الله عليها إن كان من الصادقين

And the fifth is that God's anger will be upon her if she is among the truthful.

فانصرف النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم

Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) turned away.

فأرسل إليهما

So he sent to them.

فجاء

He came.

قام هلال بن أمية فشاهد

Hilaal bin Umayyah stood up and witnessed.

ثم قامت فشاهدت

Then she got up and witnessed.

فلما كان عند الخامسة

When it was around five o'clock.

أن غضب الله عليها إن كان من الصادقين

"That God's anger is upon her if she is among the truthful."

قالوا لها إنها لموجبة

They told her that it was mandatory.

قال ابن عباس فتلكأت ونكصت

Ibn Abbas said, "So I hesitated and refrained."

حتى ظننا أنها سترجع

We thought that she would return.

فقالت

She said.

والله لا أفضح قومي سائر

"By God, I will not expose my people."
