Les quiero dar esta bienvenida a mi podcast, es el primero, y ese se llama ¿Qué es la vida?

I want to welcome you to my podcast, it's the first one, and it's called What is Life?

Será una pequeña reflexión la cual yo escribí hace unos años atrás.

It will be a small reflection that I wrote a few years ago.

Hoy me di a la tarea de buscarlo por mis notas y se me ocurrió compartírselas.

Today I set out to find it in my notes and I thought I would share them with you.

No sé si les pasa a ustedes, pero cada vez que voy a dormir o me encuentro divagando solo,

I don't know if it happens to you, but every time I go to sleep or find myself daydreaming alone,

me comienzan a surgir muchas preguntas en mi cabeza.

I start to have many questions in my head.

Un día me encontraba jugando mi dispositivo móvil y pues me surgió esta idea.

One day I was playing on my mobile device and this idea came to me.

¿Qué es la vida?

What is life?

Comencé a escribir.

I started to write.

Y me di cuenta que todos, siempre que nacemos, nacemos con un propósito.

And I realized that we all, whenever we are born, are born with a purpose.

Todos.

Everyone.

De chiquitos, todos nos divierten.

As kids, they all entertain us.

Absolutamente todos.

Absolutely everyone.

Desde la cosa más mínima, o sea, como una, o sea, en mi punto, en un ejemplo, era que yo tenía una toallita.

From the smallest thing, like, for example, I had a little towel.

Esa toallita hasta el día de hoy está guardada, y esa toallita dice mi mamá que no la podía ni lavar.

That little towel is still stored away to this day, and my mom says she couldn't even wash it.

Porque yo me molestaba.

Because I was getting upset.

Con esa me la pasaba jugando, me la llevaba a todas partes, y así.

I spent my time playing with it, I took it everywhere, and so on.

Conforme van pasando los años, crecemos, conocemos personas, amigos.

As the years go by, we grow, meet people, friends.

Amigos de verdad, algunos son compañeros, ya sea de clases, de actividades, o por internet también los conocimos.

True friends, some are companions, whether from classes, activities, or we also met them online.

No puedo negar que conocí mucha gente en internet.

I can't deny that I met a lot of people on the internet.

Debo de admitir que tengo una amiga de Baja California, solo una vez la vi, y también de Mérida, y si, y hasta el día de hoy, pues...

I must admit that I have a friend from Baja California, I only saw her once, and also from Mérida, and yes, and until today, well...

¿Pero qué voy con esto?

But what am I getting at with this?

Debo de admitir que yo conocí mucha gente, desde chiquito, yo siempre fui una persona alegre, bueno, me considero una persona alegre, que siempre le ve el lado bueno.

I must admit that I met a lot of people, since I was little, I have always been a cheerful person, well, I consider myself a cheerful person who always sees the bright side.

Pero esto lo aprendí...

But I learned this...

Sí, porque en la primaria yo no tenía muchos amigos, solo tenía como tres, pero yo lo sentía verdadero.

Yes, because in elementary school I didn't have many friends, I only had about three, but I felt it was real.

Y hasta el día de hoy hablamos, salimos y todo.

And to this day we talk, go out, and everything.

Y pues yo siempre me peleaba con los demás, porque pues, nuestras formas de pensar, nuestros gustos también.

And well, I always fought with others because, you know, our ways of thinking, our tastes too.

Pero cuando te vas creciendo, te das cuenta que no toda la gente está aquí para quedarte bien.

But as you grow up, you realize that not everyone is here to make you feel good.

Todos tienen diferentes propósitos. Algunos solo pasar por tu vida, ayudarte, o afectarte.

Everyone has different purposes. Some are just meant to pass through your life, help you, or affect you.

Pero tú tienes que ver cómo recompones tu vida. No te puedes quedar estancado en algo.

But you have to see how to rebuild your life. You can't get stuck in something.

Y así es la vida. Vas conociendo gente, vas conociendo personas que te dejan marcado.

And that is life. You meet people, you get to know people who leave a mark on you.

Y a veces, aunque quisieras que se quedaran...

And sometimes, even if you wanted them to stay...

por unos años más, meses, días, pues no se puede.

for a few more years, months, days, because it can't be.

Simplemente pasan desapercibidas, ya no los vuelves a ver.

They simply go unnoticed, you never see them again.

Pero te dejan marcado.

But they leave you scarred.

Y pues yo les quiero decir, o dejarles claro, que en esta cuarentena...

And well, I want to tell you, or make it clear to you, that in this quarantine...

quizás no veamos más a nuestros amigos, ya sea si es el último año de prepa, tu último año de secundaria,

perhaps we won't see our friends again, whether it's the last year of high school or your last year of middle school,

tu último año de primaria. Quizás ya no los vuelvas a ver.

your last year of primary school. You might not see them again.

O quizás sí, si los vuelves a reencontrar en otra escuela, o si van a seguir en la misma escuela.

Or maybe yes, if you meet them again in another school, or if they continue in the same school.

No sabemos.

We don't know.

Pero debemos de tomar en cuenta que hay que valorar a la familia.

But we must take into account that we need to value the family.

Hay que valorar a tus amigos.

You have to appreciate your friends.

Hay que valorar a esas personas que realmente valen la pena.

We must value those people who are truly worth it.

Y hay que darnos cuenta de cada...

And we must realize each...

cada momento que pasamos en nuestra vida.

every moment we spend in our life.

Ya sea bueno o malo.

Whether it is good or bad.

Si es malo, aprende tus errores, sigue adelante.

If it's bad, learn from your mistakes, move forward.

Algún día aprenderás, y cuando seas feliz dirás, qué bueno que no hice esto.

One day you will learn, and when you are happy you will say, how good that I didn't do this.

Y tal vez, te puedes dar una... o sea, imaginar...

And maybe, you can give yourself a... I mean, imagine...

qué hubiera pasado si hubieras hecho eso, o hubieras elegido eso.

What would have happened if you had done that, or if you had chosen that?

Y pues yo les invito...

And so I invite you...

les invito a reflexionar esta cuarentena.

I invite you to reflect during this quarantine.

No te cuesta nada. Simplemente te acuestas.

It doesn't cost you anything. You just lie down.

Te pones a escuchar música.

You start listening to music.

Relajante. La música que tú quieras.

Relaxing. The music you want.

Si quieres escribir, escríbelo.

If you want to write, write it.

Si quieres pensar, solo que se queden tus pensamientos, está bien.

If you want to think, just let your thoughts stay, that’s fine.

Solo les invito a reflexionar.

I only invite you to reflect.
