La MEP la vam constituir fa uns dos anys, el 23 de febrer del 21.

We constituted the MEP about two years ago, on February 23, 2021.

Des de Terrassa vam fer la feina d'impulsar la transició energètica,

From Terrassa, we did the work of promoting the energy transition,

l'impuls inicial, i després vam optar a la presidència de l'associació.

Es va constituir per 70 associats fundadors,

que hi havia, bàsicament, municipis d'arreu de Catalunya i algunes entitats,

que en el seu conjunt representem quasi 3 milions i mig de persones.

Comunitats energètiques i comunitats energètiques.

Energy communities and energy communities.

És un d'aquells termes que queden a sobre de moltíssims ajuntaments de Catalunya, grans, petits.

It is one of those terms that is present in many municipalities of Catalonia, both large and small.

Tothom vol fer comunitats energètiques, però primer expliquem una mica què és una comunitat energètica.

Everyone wants to create energy communities, but first let’s explain a little bit about what an energy community is.

Una comunitat energètica és una figura, diguem-ne, jurídica.

An energy community is a figure, let's say, legal.

De fet, es pot entendre, o potser podríem començar per aquí, que al final és més un concepte que una figura jurídica.

In fact, it can be understood, or perhaps we could start from here, that in the end it is more of a concept than a legal figure.

Comunitats energètiques.

Es creen en unes directives dels anys 2018 i 2019 de la Unió Europea.

Tenen dos noms concrets, però s'agrupen en aquest concepte més general de comunitat energètica.

They have two specific names, but they are grouped under this more general concept of energy community.

Són les comunitats d'energia renovable, que van associades a projectes concrets de generació d'energia renovable,
