在汉诗的面孔被火把照亮后

After the face of Han poetry was illuminated by torches.

在花园经过寒霜的死寂后

After the deathly silence of frost in the garden.

在岩石间的受难后

After the suffering among the rocks

还有呐喊和哭嚎

There are also shouts and wails.

监狱 宫殿和春雷

Prison, Palace, and Spring Thunder.

在远生的回音震荡以后

After the echo of the distant sound reverberates.

那一度活着的如今死了

The life that once was is now dead.

我们曾活过而今却垂死

We once lived, but now we are dying.

多少带一点耐心

A little patience is needed.

这里没有水只有岩石

There is no water here, only rocks.

有石而无水

There are stones but no water.

只有沙石路

Only gravel roads.

沙石路迂回在山岭中

The gravel road winds through the mountains.

山岭是石头的全没有水

The mountains are all stone without water.

要是有水我们会停下来挫瘾

If there is water, we will stop to indulge.

在岩石间怎能停下来

How can one stop between the rocks?

停下和思想

Stop and think.

汗是干的

Sweat is dry.

脚埋在沙子里

Feet buried in the sand.

要是岩石间有水多么好

How nice it would be if there were water among the rocks.

死山的嘴长着蛀牙吐不出水来

The mouth of the dead mountain has cavities and cannot spit out water.

人在这里不能站

No standing here.

不能躺

Cannot lie down.

不能坐

Cannot sit.

这山间甚至没有安静

There is not even tranquility in this mountain area.

只有干打的雷而没有雨

Only thunder without rain.

这山间甚至没有闲事

There are even no idle matters in these mountains.

只有怒得发紫的脸

Only a face as purple as anger.

嘲笑和咒骂

Mockery and cursing.

从干裂的泥土房子的门口

From the cracked soil at the door of the house.

如果有水而没有岩石

If there is water but no rock.

如果有岩石也有水

If there are rocks, there is also water.

那水是一条泉

That water is a spring.

山石间的清潭

The clear pool among the rocks.

要是只有水的声音

If there is only the sound of water.

不是知了和哭泣的声音

It's not the sound of cicadas and crying.

不是枯草的歌唱

It's not the song of dry grass.

而是水流时尚的清响

But rather the clear sound of flowing water.

还有画眉鸟

There are also hedge sparrows.

也在松林里作歌

Also singing in the pine forest.

稀里稀里哩哩哩

Higgledy-piggledy.

可是没有水

But there is no water.

那总是在你身边走的第三者是谁

Who is the third party that always walks beside you?

我算数时只有你我两个人

When I do the math, it's only you and me.

可是我沿着白色的路朝前看

But I look ahead along the white road.

总看见有另一个人在你的身旁

好似慈母悲伤的低速

Like a慈母's sad and slow rhythm.

那一群蒙面人是谁

Who are those masked people?

有过茫茫的平原

There have been vast plains.

跌进干裂的土地

Fall into the dry and cracked land.
