前几年的政治

Politics of the past few years

都会有些很怪的人统治大家

There will always be some strange people ruling everyone.

我有时觉得他做了什么坏事

I sometimes feel that he did something wrong.

我们都吹他不漲

We all say he's not growing.

都有一些东西想人家知道

There are some things I want others to know.

尽量的

As much as possible.

我也知道很多时候

I also know that many times

大家都未必看到那样东西

Not everyone may see such things.

但是是不是很重要呢

But is it very important?

又不是真的很重要

It's not really that important anyway.

其实我也是当自己的作品是软雕塑

In fact, I also consider my own work as soft sculptures.

当然也有人问

Of course, there are also people who ask.

那你雕了些什么

So what did you carve?

都是不适合的

All are unsuitable.

是立体的呈现

It is a three-dimensional presentation.

是一件东西

有形态

Have form.

有形状

Has shape.

所以就告诉别人是雕塑

以前很介意别人

I used to care a lot about what others thought.

人家说用布就好像做娃娃

They say using cloth is just like making a doll.

感觉不是很艺术品

It doesn't feel very artistic.

是不是一定要找一些雕塑

常用的物料才可以叫做雕塑呢

对我来说也未必是

但是现在就有点

不太理会这件事

就是做的时候就会想

总之所有东西

然后就会加一些东西进去

在島外的朋友做一些軟雕塑

Friends outside the island are making some soft sculptures.

製作鹽田子裡面的植物

Plants inside salt marshes.

將它送入島裡

就好像給島上的溫暖一樣

It's just like giving warmth to the island.

學生就有點像是協作的方式

Students are somewhat like a collaborative approach.

如果你沒有了一個技法的想法

其實你不是做得更加自由嗎

但沒有了這樣的方法

沒有針法,只是亂勒

There is no acupuncture technique, it's just random binding.

我只是當作畫畫

用針當作筆

把線像一筆筆地畫出來

其實練習可以在消磨時期

也可以調整自己的心情

因為香港很混亂

有時一走出街都覺得很混亂

Sometimes when I step out onto the street, I feel very confused.

無論是坐車、買東西

Whether it's taking a car or shopping.

一個安靜的時間是必須的

A quiet time is necessary.

你可以說是一個治療自己的時間

You could say it's a time for healing yourself.

就算有時很生氣,還是想罵人

Even if I'm very angry sometimes, I still want to curse at people.

可能做著做著又會好一點

It might get a little better as you keep going.

經常都是在一個這樣的狀態去生活

開創沒想過做藝術

I never thought of doing art.

我畢業之後只是打算打一份工作

但不小心做著做著

對於我來說

跳舞是一個出口

Dancing is an outlet.

是我生活或者甚至是人生的一個出口

It is an outlet for my life or even my existence.

我平時的人是比較平靜一點

I am generally a more calm person.

或者不會有很大的情緒起伏

Or there may not be much emotional fluctuation.

我覺得某程度上

I think to some extent.

都是因為我有舞蹈這個途徑

去宣洩一些情感

我可以去提問的一個形式

A form in which I can ask questions.

未必一定要實質找到一個答案

It may not be necessary to find a concrete answer.

但是起碼我有透過舞蹈

But at least I have expressed myself through dance.

可能都是由生活累積而來的

It may all come from the accumulation of life experiences.

生活上總會有不同的經歷

In life, there will always be different experiences.

或者你看著社會的發展

Or you look at the development of society.

都是有你對一些事情的不滿

It is all your dissatisfaction with certain matters.

或者是有一些不同意的想法

Or there are some differing opinions.

所以那個歇斯底里的情感

So that hysterical emotion.

就是會在這些事情中慢慢累積回來

It will slowly accumulate back through these things.

創作的時候

When creating

最影響得我多的是人性

The thing that affects me the most is human nature.

所以我現在編舞的方向是

So the direction I am choreographing now is

都盡量想借一個角色

Try to borrow a role as much as possible.

去表達我一些我想表達的聲明

To express some statements that I want to convey.

為什麼我會想

在我的作品裡面

是因為我經常都聽到有很多人

It's because I often hear that many people...

都說覺得當代舞很難明白

It is said that contemporary dance is difficult to understand.

不知道看了些什麼

I don't know what I've watched.

所以我就想用一些

So I want to use some.

大家都比較熟悉的設定

A setting that everyone is more familiar with.

讓觀眾開始去閱讀那個舞

Let the audience start to read that dance.

創作裡面很多時候

In creation, many times.

我都是會說一句話而已

I just say a sentence.

在點子裡面

In the idea.

我就會問

I would ask.

當你很想控制別人的時候

When you really want to control others.

其實你是被什麼控制著呢

Actually, what is controlling you?

你為什麼你會那麼慘

Why are you so unfortunate?

被人折磨呢

Being tormented by others.

我沒有折磨

I have not tormented.

這個舞裡面

In this dance.

我整個舞都是背向著觀眾

I performed the entire dance with my back facing the audience.

我想建構給觀眾一個空間

I want to create a space for the audience.

就是我前面的

It's right in front of me.

究竟是些什麼

What exactly are they?

我想我對於現在會看到的一些新聞

I think I have some thoughts about the news I am going to see now.

其實很多靈感會溶解

Actually, a lot of inspiration will dissolve.

因為你會看見很多不知為何

Because you will see many things without knowing why.

很多問題是無法解釋的

Many questions are impossible to explain.

而且是不公平的

And it is unfair.

總之是你無法理解的事情

In short, it is something you cannot understand.

你就會很想去探討一下

You will definitely want to explore it a bit.

又或者是找一個答案

Or perhaps to find an answer.

我會說, 我不完美, 不行嗎?

I can say, I'm not perfect, is that not okay?

菇一開始可以說是角色

Mushrooms can initially be said to be characters.

但我其實是在做一個博物館裡的雕塑

But I am actually making a sculpture in a museum.

為什麼會是這個設定呢?

Why is this the setting?

因為我在想是否完美

Because I am wondering if it's perfect.

這件事

This matter.

那隻帽子一直下來

That hat has been coming down.

那個雕塑的外層如何剝落

How does the outer layer of that sculpture peel off?

然後去一個有血肉的人

Then go to a person with flesh and blood.

如何將自己的陰暗面

How to embrace one's dark side.

以及一些缺點會洩露出來

And some flaws will be revealed.

然後如何…

Then what...

這樣去隱藏

Hide it this way.

再去接受

Accept again.

有一個接下來演出的作品

There is a work coming up for performance.

自己會演繹一個公眾演講

I will interpret a public speech myself.

我希望我是在演繹這件事

I wish I were interpreting this matter.

就是帶著一大堆謊言去做…

It means going to do it with a whole bunch of lies...

去向公眾說話

這也是我在排練過程中想的問題

This is also a question I thought about during the rehearsal process.

就是用身體如何去表達謊言

It is about how to express lies with the body.

希望可以增加對你交配的機會

牛媽媽和牛寶寶

Mother Cow and Baby Cow

一出生就會分開

Separated from birth.

並不是因為牛媽媽

It's not because of the cow mom.

一牛二鵪會養成那些奶黃

One cow and two quails will produce those creamy yellow (eggs).

而是因為牛媽媽的初語

But because of Mother Cow's first words.

未必一定是那麼健康

It may not necessarily be that healthy.

所以人就要介入

So people need to get involved.

我大部分作品都是會找聲音設計師合作

Most of my works are collaborations with sound designers.

可能是作曲, 或者是聲音設計

It could be composition or sound design.

其實很有趣

It's actually very interesting.

我有點覺得他不是在跳舞

I feel like he isn't dancing.

很多時候他會用的動作

The actions he often uses.

給我的感覺不是一種表演的跳舞

It doesn't feel like a performance dance to me.

就是那些技巧

It's just those skills.

不是那種方向的東西

It's not that kind of thing.

多容易讓他帶出

How easy it is for him to bring it out.

他想用身體去表達甚麼

What does he want to express with his body?

在我們合作中

很難說很離地地去做自己想做的事

跟社會是離不開的

為什麼我想創作?

其實就好像可以為自己生存

It's actually just like being able to survive for oneself.

一些所謂的方式

Some so-called methods.

人類不 Billy 說的

Humanity does not say Billy.

原來自己是一個人

It turns out I am just a person.

所以自己可以為自己創作

So one can create for oneself.

讓自己有一個心

Let yourself have a heart.

也就是我自己想做的

That is exactly what I want to do.

想创作為自己做的

Want to create something for myself.

所以我會常常在工作

So I often work.

想做的事,可能是自己的作品

What you want to do may be your own work.

因為我想創作

Because I want to create.

自己生命留下一些腳印

Leave some footprints in your own life.

很想幫自己留下屬於自己的痕跡

I really want to leave marks that belong to me.

我很相信每個人都有自己的步伐

I firmly believe that everyone has their own pace.

我希望我自己可以找到自己的步伐

I hope I can find my own pace.
