他先会去帮助

He will go help first.

别的人

那阿难尊者

That venerable Ananda.

到底是属于哪一种

Which category does it belong to?

他说他自己

He said he himself.

就是我须未道

It is that I have not yet said.

愿道没劫一切众生

May the Dao free all beings from suffering.

这两句经文就看到了

These two verses can be seen.

阿难尊者是属于

Ananda is one of the...

悲憎上的

On the sorrow of hatred.

他说

He said.

我虽然现在

Although I am now

还活在颠倒上里头

Still living in upside down.

但是我已经知道

But I already know.

整个出来颠倒上的方法

The method of turning everything upside down.

虽然

Although

他就没有完全得道

He has not fully attained the Tao.

但是

But

在这个时候

At this time.

他就已经是原教初顺

He is already in a state of original simplicity.

就是只是断了

It's just that it was broken.

三界的建华

Jianhua of the Three Realms

无量无边的丝滑烦恼

Endless and boundless silky troubles.

都没有消灭

None have been eliminated.

但是他就有一种愿望

But he has a kind of wish.

他要道化

He wants to be enlightened.

末法时代一切众生

All beings in the end of the dharma age.

那就可以看得出

Then it can be seen.

他就是悲憎上

He is just above sorrow and affection.

为什么就一定要

Why must it be so?

针对末法众生呢

For the beings in the final Dharma age.

阿难尊者举出

Venerable Ananda raised.

他的道理来说

According to his reasoning.

世尊

World Honored One

此诸众生

These beings

这个此

This is it.

就是指末法众生

It refers to the beings of the final Dharma age.

末法众生

Living beings in the final dharma age.

有两个障碍

There are two obstacles.

这个地方

This place

是提出其中一种

It is one of the proposed options.

在哪里呢

Where is it?

经文就说

The scripture says.

去佛

Go to Buddha.

占愿

占愿 -占卜的愿望

邪思

Evil thoughts

说法

Statement

如行河沙

Like flowing river sand.

我们的修学

Our study and practice

如果

If

我们是生长在正法时代

We are growing in the era of righteous law.

障法时代

The Era of Barriers

当你听到法门

When you hear the teachings.

你好快就将这个

Hello, quickly get this.

Medicine

吃了下去

Swallowed it.

那你的病

Then your illness

就马上好了

It will be ready soon.

但是到了末法时代呢

But in the end of the Dharma age?

佛陀所开出的药方以后呢

What happens after the prescription given by the Buddha?

就没有那么简单了

It's not that simple.

不是说

Not to say.

要吃药就可以好了

Taking medicine will help you get better.

为什么呢

Why?

第一

First

就是魔强法药

It's the magic strong potion.

因为你面对的是一个外在的

Because you are facing an external one.

色性香味触发

Color, nature, fragrance, and touch trigger.

特别污染的力量

The power of severe pollution.

这个魔

This magic.

不是说魔王

Not saying the demon king.

这个魔呢

This magic.

是有惑的力量特别强

The power of confusion is particularly strong.

而你能够听闻

And you can hear.

正法的时间

The time of the righteous law.

有特别的力量

Has special power.

所以说

So to say.

你一天二十四小时

You have twenty-four hours in a day.

大部分的时间

Most of the time

都是在放日

It's all in the sunlight.

大部分的时间

Most of the time

都受到

All affected.

整个众生的共业

The共同 karma of all sentient beings.

所谓六尘的牵引

The so-called pull of the six dusts.

只会

Only will.

偶然间极少时间

Occasionally very little time.

来到

Arrive

吃药

Take medicine.

所谓吃药呢

What is meant by taking medicine?

就是极少时间来到听经闻法

It is only a very short time to come and listen to the teachings.

所以说

So that means.

在你生命当中呢

In your life.

听法的时间少

There is little time for listening to the law.

受到有惑干扰的时间多

The time affected by confusion is long.

就会产生一种

It will create a kind of.

善根的退化

The degeneration of good roots.

即便你过去善根深厚

Even if you had deep roots of goodness in the past.

但是

But

你也是受到环境的干扰

You are also affected by the environment.

因为你离不开众生的共业

Because you cannot be separated from the collective karma of all beings.

你不可能说

You can't say.

我去一个荒岛去住

I am going to live on a deserted island.

就可以了

That's enough.

所以

So

你面对的是一个魔强法药的时代

You are facing an era of powerful magic potions.

第二呢

The second one.

就是去佛久远了

It's been a long time since I went to the Buddha.

即便你有心要修学佛法

Even if you are eager to study Buddhism.

但是你也都很难

But it is also very difficult for you.

遇到一个

Encounter a

正知正见的善知识

A wise teacher with right knowledge and right views.

因为邪思说法就好像恒河沙那样多

Because the evil thoughts spoken are as numerous as the sand grains in the Ganges.

在这种障碍情况之下

Under such obstacles.

那你的明了的心

Then your clear heart.

是有善根

There are good roots.

也都有烦恼

Everyone has their troubles too.

到了末法时代

Arriving at the end of the Dharma age.

想说收拾其心

I want to say to organize one's mind.

成就大乘的三昧呢

The samadhi that achieves the Mahayana.

你就必要有一个保护的措施了

You need to have a protective measure.

不仅止只有佛陀开药就好

It's not just enough for the Buddha to prescribe medicine.

你心中

In your heart

还要有一个道场

There should also be a place for practice.

这个道场

This dojo.

做什么呢

What are you doing?

是有两个目的

There are two purposes.

这个道场第一个目的

The first purpose of this dojo.

就是要我们远离魔事

It is to keep us away from magical matters.

这里头有内在的魔事

There is an inner magical affair here.

和外在的魔事

And the magical affairs of the outside.

我要远离内外的魔事

I want to stay away from the magical affairs of the inside and outside.

第二

Second

使我们的菩提心

Cultivate our Bodhi mind.

能够坚固而不退转

Able to be steadfast and not turn back.

我们这一念心

Our thought.

到了末法时代

Arriving at the end of the Dharma age.

佛陀已经不在了

The Buddha is no longer here.

很多善知识

Many virtuous knowledgeable individuals.

也都不在了

They're all gone too.

法的力量也都慢慢薄弱了

The power of the law has also gradually weakened.

佛法增三保也都薄弱了

The Buddhist teachings have also become weak in the three treasures.

但是我们可以

But we can.

有善根了

There are good roots.

我们又想要进步

We want to make progress again.

想要增上嘛

Do you want to improve?

那怎么办呢

What should we do then?

You

除了理官以外

Besides officials

你心中必须有一个道场

You must have a dojo in your heart.

什么叫道场呢

What is a dojo?

什么叫场呢

What is meant by a field?

古时候农村社会

Rural society in ancient times.

这个稻米收割以后

After this rice is harvested

不可以马上就说去去学的

You can't just say right away to go and study.

因为这些稻米是潮湿

Because this rice is moist.

你必须将它放在一个场

You must put it in a field.

一个很空旷的场地

A very spacious area.

将它晒干过滤

Dry it and filter it.

然后才能够去学转成多

Only then can we learn to turn into more.

这些稻米

This rice.

那我们修行也都一样

Then our practice is the same.

佛陀把法门开出来

The Buddha opened the path of Dharma.

这个法药

This elixir.

也都开出来

They all came out as well.

我们要吃药的过程当中

During the process of taking medicine.

也都需要有个道场

A place for practice is also needed.

就是修道的场

It is the place of cultivation.

那什么道场呢

What kind of dojo is that?

就是持戒和

It is to uphold precepts and...

诵咒这两个

Recite these two spells.

持戒

Keeping precepts.

就是破除我们内在的障碍

It is about breaking down our internal obstacles.

破除我们无耻的烦恼障

Eliminate our shameless obstacles to peace of mind.

诵咒是破除外障

Chanting spells is to break external barriers.

就是鬼神障

It's basically ghost gods obstruction.

这两个障碍就是透过持戒和诵咒

These two obstacles can be overcome through keeping precepts and reciting mantras.

来远诸摩世

Come from afar to the world of Mo.

来成就菩提心的不退转

To achieve the unwavering bodhicitta.

是这个意思

That's what it means.

那为什么要

Then why?

修这个事修呢

Fixing this matter, really?

这个地方呢

This place.

阿难尊者将这个理由讲出来

The venerable Ananda expressed this reason.

以下的四段经文

The following four passages.

是佛陀对阿难尊者的

It is the Buddha's instruction to Ananda.

表白的赞许

Confession's approval

请看经文

Please look at the scriptures.

以示世尊于大众中

To demonstrate to the Buddha in front of the crowd.

称赞阿难

Praise Ananda

善哉善哉

Good, good.

如雨所问

As Rain inquired.

安立道场

Anli Daoshi (Anli Temple)

救护众生

Save all beings.

没劫沉溺

No robbery and no indulgence.

与今替听

And now, listen in.

当为语说

前面四段阿难尊者

讲述他自己修学的心得

阿难尊者这个态度是怎样的心态呢

What kind of mentality does Venerable Ananda have regarding this attitude?

佛陀就说

The Buddha said.

善哉善哉

Well done, well done.

这个就是赞叹

This is admiration.

阿难尊者这样的做法

Such actions by Venerable Ananda

是非常正确的

It is very correct.

因为正如你所问的

Because, as you asked.

安立道场

Anli Daochang

以这样的一个持戒的功德力

With such a merit power of keeping precepts

和持咒的一个功德力

The merit of holding mantras.

这两种力量

These two kinds of forces.

来救护没劫沉沦的众生

Come to rescue the beings who have not perished in calamity.

是有它必要性的

It is indeed necessary.

经文就说与今替听当为语说

The scripture says that it should be spoken in the language of today's listeners.

佛陀就正式宣说

The Buddha officially proclaimed.

这个末法时代当我们修理官的时候

In this末法时期, when we repair officials.

第一个

The first one.

产生的魔障

The resulting magical disturbance.

就是你无耻劫的冤亲债主

It is the vengeful creditor of your shameless plundering.

是不会同意的

Will not agree.

这个是破障

This is a breakthrough.

第二

Second

就是你心中产生的理官

It is the idea of reason that arises in your heart.

你开始回光

You are beginning to regain your shine.

反照

Reflection

你就刺激你心中生出烦恼

You just provoke the worries that arise in your heart.

那时候所谓的真妄交功

At that time, what was called the true and false exchange of merits.

你的烦恼

Your troubles.

也都会障碍你的

It will also hinder you.

所以面临

So facing

这个内外的魔障

The magic barrier inside and outside.

应该怎么办呢

What should I do?

佛陀就说到破障的方法

The Buddha spoke about the method to overcome obstacles.

请看经文

佛告阿难

于上文我辟内耶宗

In the above text, I dismiss the internal sect of Christianity.

宣说修行三脱定义

所谓舍心为戒

这个就是整个大乘的三脱定义

This is the definition of the three liberations in Mahayana Buddhism.

什么叫做决定呢

What does it mean to make a decision?

就是一个不变的法则

It is an unchanging law.

佛陀的出世

The birth of the Buddha.

面对很多识别的众生

Facing many sentient beings who are recognized.

佛陀开出的方便会有

The expedient means taught by the Buddha will have...

不同

Different

但是原则

But the principle

就不能够变的

It cannot be changed.

原则就是戒定慧

The principle is戒定慧 (precepts, concentration, and wisdom).

这是一个三世诸佛

This is a Buddha of the Three Ages.

共同的法则

Common laws

是决定不可以改变

A decision cannot be changed.

这样的法则

Such a rule.

是什么呢

What is it?

就是

That's it.

舍心为戒

Abandoning desires as a precept.

因戒生定

Due to precepts, samadhi arises.

因定法为

Due to the established method.

首先以舍心为戒

First, take mindlessness as a warning.

这个地方

就是重点

小乘的戒法

The precepts of Theravada Buddhism.

就是收舍身口

It is about letting go of body and speech.

大乘的法是直接

The teachings of Mahayana are direct.

舍心

Letting go of attachment.

因为将这个戒

Because of giving this ring.

舍住了

I gave up my place.

你才有可能会引生禅定

You are the one who may give rise to meditation.

有禅定

Have meditation.

然后才能够开发智慧

Only then can we develop wisdom.

这个就是成就无漏功德的三种法门

These are the three methods for achieving flawless merit.

依这个

戒定慧

Precepts, Concentration, Wisdom

而成就无漏的功德

And achieve the merit of being free from stains.

海公师傅在解释这个舍心为戒的时候

老人家说

声闻戒是以事上为本

The Precepts of the Hearer are based on practical matters.

他偏重在身口两叶的修学

He emphasizes the cultivation of both body and speech.

因为声闻戒的重点

Because the focus of the Śrāvakavādin precepts

是在于出离

It is about leaving.

而且

and also

更重要的一点他是令正法久住

More importantly, he ensures the lasting presence of the right Dharma.

一个出家中的身口二叶

A monk's two aspects of body and speech.

必须使居士产生恭敬心

It is necessary to instill a sense of reverence in the lay practitioners.

所以他是一个事上戒

So he is someone who is cautious in his actions.

大乘佛法的戒法就不同

The precepts of Mahayana Buddhism are different.

他是一个心地戒

He is a kind-hearted person.

他先有心中的止观

He first has the contemplation in his heart.

然后先付诸行动

Then take action first.

或者我们可以这么说

Or we can say it like this.

声闻戒的修持戒定位

The cultivation and positioning of the precepts of the Hearers.

是由爱而内

It is derived from love and within.

他先修摄身口

He first cultivates his body, speech, and mind.

然后

慢慢慢慢再修摄内心

Slowly, slowly refine the inner self.

声闻戒

Vinaya of the Hearers

持戒的重点

The focus of keeping precepts.

是从外边

It is from outside.

一路持入来的

All the way in.

先调伏身口

First, subdue the body and speech.

然后再调伏内心

Then calm the mind again.

菩萨戒法呢

Bodhisattva precepts?

就是你一定要安住

You must definitely remain at ease.

菩萨总性

Bodhisattva's inherent nature

你才有资格受菩萨戒

You are the only one qualified to receive the Bodhisattva precepts.

什么叫菩萨总性呢

What is meant by the inherent nature of a Bodhisattva?

就是菩提心

It is the bodhicitta.

空正见

Kong Zheng Jian

空正见就是前面讲的

The concept of emptiness is what was mentioned earlier.

正念真语

Mindful Truth

所以菩萨戒

So the Bodhisattva precepts.

是由内而外的

It is from the inside out.

他是先有礼观的正行

He is the proper conduct with a sense of etiquette first.

然后再带动这个菩萨的戒法

Then encourage this Bodhisattva's precepts.

这个叫做摄心为戒

This is called "Taking Heart as a Warning."

是这样解释

This is how to explain it.

他直接修摄内心的

He directly cultivates his inner self.

他是先从本来无一物的礼观当中

He initially starts from the perspective of having nothing in terms of the concept of rituals.

然后再来对峙如梦如幻的烦恼

Then confront the dreamlike and illusory troubles.

是这种态度

It is this kind of attitude.

你要懂得摄心为戒这四个字

You must understand the four words "guard your heart."

那么后面的戒法你就懂得他和声闻戒的不同在哪里

Then you will understand the difference between the later precepts and the precepts of the hearers.

现在请看经文

我明为戒

I will be cautious in the future.

前面讲到摄心为戒

It was mentioned earlier that capturing the mind is the戒 (precept).

那么什么叫做摄心为戒呢

So what does it mean to take the mind as a precept?

先来问一下什么叫摄心为戒

First, let me ask what is meant by "taking the heart as a戒"?

若诸世界

If all worlds

六道众生其心不淫

The sentient beings of the six realms have hearts that are not lewd.

则不除其生死相续

Then the continuity of their life and death will not be interrupted.

与修三昧本出尘奴

Cultivating samadhi transcends the bondage of the world.

淫心不除

Lustful thoughts cannot be removed.

尘不可出

Dust cannot escape.

纵有多至禅定现前

Even if there are many, Zen meditation is present.

如不断淫

If it continues to be lewd.

必落魔道

Must fall into the demonic path.

上品魔王

Supreme Demon King

中品魔民

Medium quality demon people

下品魔女

Inferior Witch

彼等诸魔

Those demons.

亦有途中

There are also detours.

各自为乘无上道

Each takes their own path to the supreme way.

这段经文就正式将摄心为戒的道理说出来

This passage officially states the principle of taking the mind as a precept.

我们先看第一段

Let's take a look at the first paragraph first.

先把持戒的功德上

First, focus on the merits of holding precepts.

和他的标准

And his standards.

标出来

Mark it out.

经文说

The scripture says.

假设在凡夫世界的六道众生当中

Assuming among the sentient beings in the six realms of the ordinary world.

你能够做到其心不淫

Can you achieve a heart that is not lustful?

则不除其

Then do not remove it.

三戒生死的相续

The three prohibitions on the continuity of life and death.

淫戒的重点

The focus of the淫戒.

就是在

Just in.

其心不淫

His heart is not lewd.

什么叫做其心不淫呢

What does it mean to have a pure heart?

他的意思不是说

What he means is not to say.

你在佛堂拜佛

You are worshipping Buddha in the temple.

在那个地方静坐持咒

Sit quietly and chant the mantra in that place.

然后你都没有起烦恼

Then you didn't have any worries at all.

不是这个意思

That's not what I meant.

这叫做

This is called

缘缺不生

Fate cannot be born without connection.

不是其心不淫

It is not that the heart is not lustful.

应该是说

It should be said.

当你这个明了的心

When your heart is clear.

受到外境刺激的时候

When stimulated by external environment.

生起了淫欲的念头

The thought of lust arises.

而你能够产生一个对峙的力量

And you can generate a confrontational force.

这个对峙的力量

The power of this confrontation.

让你

Let you.

栽培起来

Cultivate.

你产生一种抗拒的力量

You generate a force of resistance.

甚至于

even to the extent that

是一个

It is one.

调伏的力量

The power of subjugation.

这个就是其心不淫

This is about not being lewd in one's heart.

在这个地方

In this place

也不是说你完全没有淫欲的心

It's not to say that you have no lustful thoughts at all.

完全没有淫欲心

Completely without lustful thoughts.

你就是圣人

You are a saint.

这样

This way.

祭这个戒对你就没有帮助

This offering has no benefit for you.

这个地方是针对末法凡夫众生来祭的

This place is dedicated to the ritual for the ordinary beings in the age of decline.

就是说

That is to say.

你有烦恼

You have worries.

但是

But

你开始抗拒烦恼

You begin to resist worries.

调伏烦恼

Subduing troubles.

走上了菩提的正道

Walked onto the path of enlightenment.

这个叫做其心不淫

This is called keeping one's heart untainted.

后面的经文

就发明这个思想

Just invent this idea.

你就知道

You just know.

什么叫做其心不淫

What does it mean to have a pure heart?

在这里我们先讲出一个正面的功德

Here we will first mention a positive merit.

以下再讲到反面的过失

The following discusses the opposite mistakes.

这里

经文的意思就是说

The meaning of the scripture is that.

你修大成的真如三昧

The true absorption of the great achievement you cultivate.

你的目标

Your goal.

是要出来三界

It means to transcend the three realms.

但是假设一个人

But suppose a person

他对淫欲的心

His heart for lust.

不加以对峙

Do not confront it.

你不加以对峙他就等于放纵他

Not confronting him is the same as indulging him.

如果你不加以对峙

If you do not confront it.

而放纵他

And indulge him.

那三界生死是不可能出来的

It is impossible to escape the cycle of life and death in the three realms.

这个人

This person.

对于淫欲的念头

Regarding thoughts of lust.

一再这样放纵

Repeatedly indulging like this.

他不是一般人

He is not an ordinary person.

一般人就不算了

Ordinary people don't count.

他是修行人来说

He is a practitioner.

所以

So

他就会

He will.

有什么功德力呢

What merit and power does it have?

所谓多智

The so-called multiple intelligences.

他是有很多多文的智慧

He has a wealth of wisdom.

在这个地方其实应该指有文为

In this place, it should actually refer to having literature.

无思惟

No thought.

第二

Second

他有小份的禅定

He has a small portion of meditation.

这里指的是欲界定

This refers to the desire realm.

九心住

Nine hearts residence

因为你如果去到初禅

Because if you reach the first meditation.

就不可能有淫欲的烦恼了

Then there would be no worries about lust.

欲界定是小份的禅定

Desire realm defines a smaller portion of meditation.

这个人他应该有福德力

This person should have blessings and virtue.

有多文的智慧

Wisdom of multiple texts.

有小份的禅定

There is a small portion of meditation.

但是他内心当中

But in his heart

Yes

不断淫

Constantly lewd.

对于淫欲的烦恼

Troubles of lust

采取放纵的态度

Adopt a permissive attitude.

这样

Like this.

他的淫欲的烦恼经过他的智慧

His troubles of lust are resolved through his wisdom.

禅定两种知良的加持之后

After the blessing of the two types of knowledge in meditation.

结果是必落魔道的

The result will inevitably lead to the path of demons.

魔道的根本

The fundamental of the demonic path.

就是以淫欲心为根本

It is fundamentally based on lustful desires.

他的潜心是分出三品

His dedication is to distinguish between three levels.

第一

First

上品就是魔王

The top quality is the demon king.

魔王有三个特色

The demon king has three characteristics.

第一个就是淫欲刺性

The first is lustful stimulation.

他的淫欲心是特别重的

就是魔王的眷属

It is the minion of the Demon King.

第三下品

Third-rate quality

变成一个女众的魔女

Become a witch among women.

不管他是魔王魔闻或者是魔女

Whether he is the Demon King, Demon Prince, or Demoness.

他们都有很多很多的途中

They all have many, many journeys along the way.

有很多魔子魔孙

There are many magical children and grandchildren.

他们的内心

Their inner selves.

就是各自为成无上道

It is each striving to achieve the ultimate way.

问题就出在这个地方

各为自己已经成就无上道

一个人为什么会代入魔道呢

Why would a person fall into the path of evil?

不是说他今天犯了淫欲的烦恼就代入魔道

他是破剑

He is the broken sword.

破剑就是邪知邪见

A broken sword represents heretical knowledge and views.

他自己认为

放纵淫欲

Indulging in lust.

可以成无上道

Can achieve the ultimate path.

你还有得救

因为你烦恼很重

但是你起真相的残僻

还有希望

他不是成就佛道

He has not achieved the Buddhahood.

而是成就魔道呢

But rather to achieve the demonic path?

就因为他破剑

Just because of his broken sword.

就是

It is.

邪知邪见

Heterodox views and opinions.

他以淫欲的烦恼做功德赏

He makes merits and rewards from the troubles of desire.

他说

He said.

淫欲

Lust

并不障道

It does not hinder the path.

甚至于

even to the extent that

对收道有帮助

Helpful for receiving the way.

所以令言经说

Therefore, the teachings are spoken.

他是因地发心就错了

He made a mistake by starting with a misinterpretation of the situation.

他是以淫欲为本

He is based on lust.

所以后闻佛陀比喻说

Therefore, it is later said that the Buddha used a metaphor.

你用沙

You use sand.

想做饭

I want to cook.

你煮不出饭来的

You can't cook rice.
