Well, we are engaged in research related to Migration, Crime, and Human Trafficking.

Dat houdt in met name uitbuitingssituaties van seksuele uitbuiting, criminele uitbuiting, arbeidsuitbuiting of orgaanhandel.

This specifically involves situations of exploitation such as sexual exploitation, criminal exploitation, labor exploitation, or trafficking in organs.

Dat zijn eigenlijk de vier vormen die onder die categorieën vallen.

Those are actually the four forms that fall under those categories.

Wat we doen is die uitbuitingszaken.

We hebben binnen de AVIM, binnen onze afdeling, twee takken.

Within the AVIM, in our department, we have two branches.

Twee afdelingen.

Two departments.

Dat is de HTI.

That is the HTI.

Handhaving, Toezicht en Identificatie.

Enforcement, Supervision, and Identification.

Die houden zich echt wel heel veel bezig met die migratiecriminaliteit.

They are really very much concerned with migration crime.

Dat is ook veel meer gericht op de mensen smokkel.

That is also much more focused on human trafficking.

Mensenhandel wordt vaak wel verward met mensen smokkel.

Human trafficking is often confused with human smuggling.

Maar ik probeer altijd wel te zeggen, denk bij de smokkel vooral aan de bootjes.

But I always try to say, especially think of the boats when it comes to smuggling.

En aan de ashangers en de inklimmers en de busjes.

And to the ash hangers and the climbers and the vans.

En de mensen die vanuit een land waar al dan geen problematiek is hier naartoe vluchten.

And the people who flee here from a country where there are problems or not.

Dat is de mensen smokkel echt wel.

Because I think that's a very important, underexposed aspect.

Kijk, orgaanhandel valt ook onder mensenhandel.

Look, organ trafficking also falls under human trafficking.

En orgaanhandel is echt wel een vrij onbekend terrein.

Organ trafficking is indeed a relatively unknown field.

En het is ook niet zo dat wij tientallen orgaanhandelzaken per jaar draaien.

Maar dat is ook een voorbeeld.
