Ja, en dit is hem dan, de allerlaatste aflevering waar ik met mijn 500 euro een toffe artiest ga supporten.

Ik heb natuurlijk bijzonder veel adviezen gekregen de afgelopen aflevering.
I have received a lot of advice, of course, during the last episode.
Tijdens mijn allereerste EP-release ooit kwam ik erachter dat ik het liever heb over supporten in plaats van doneren.
During my very first EP release ever, I realized that I prefer to talk about supporting rather than donating.

En dit woord blijkt ook enorm te kloppen, want juist het leuke aan een artiest support is dat je die gaat volgen en meestal ook blijft volgen.
And this word turns out to be very accurate, because the nice thing about supporting an artist is that you start to follow them and usually continue to follow them.
Je krijgt echt de reis en ontwikkeling mee.
You really get the journey and development.
En dankzij Christel van Voor de Kunst in aflevering 2 leerde ik dat er nog veel meer achter zo'n gift zit.
And thanks to Christel from Voor de Kunst in episode 2, I learned that there is so much more behind such a gift.
Veel mensen doen het ook namelijk omdat ze bijvoorbeeld iets in hun eigen omgeving voor elkaar willen krijgen.
Many people do it because, for example, they want to accomplish something in their own environment.
Kunst in je wijk bijvoorbeeld.

En mijn vrienden en familie drukte me met mijn neus op de feiten dat het wel een beetje impact moet hebben.

Wat ik echt niet wist.

En dat is dat we het enorm fijn vinden om ons te laven aan het artiest te bestaan.

Net dat beetje rock en roll wat we misschien zelf wel zouden willen, maar toch ook weer niet.

En op die manier krijg je dat een beetje mee.

Door aflevering 4 kwam ik erachter hoeveel tijd en energie al die tegenprestaties wel niet kosten.

En dankzij aflevering 5 weet ik allereerst dat er een paleis onder de dom verborgen zit.

Dat is alvast een heel vet weetje voor feest en partijen.

En dat is precies het ding met een geefkring of andere manieren om gezamenlijk te doneren.

Je kunt samen achter kunstenaars of artiesten komen die je zelf misschien niet gevonden had.

Maar het belangrijkste advies dat ik eigenlijk van iedereen kreeg was...
But the most important advice I actually got from everyone was...
...zoek iets uit dat jij leuk, mooi en belangrijk vindt.
...choose something that you like, find beautiful, and consider important.
Dat is natuurlijk het meest voor de hand liggende en ook helemaal niet zo makkelijk als je denkt.

Maar dankzij al die...
But thanks to all that...
...achterliggende gedachten kwam ik wel tot een soort van rijtje.

Ik wist namelijk dat ik op zoek moest naar een vrouwelijke kunstenaar...
I knew that I had to look for a female artist...
...omdat ik vind dat die veel te veel ondergesneeuwd worden.
...because I think they are being overshadowed far too much.
Iemand die wel iets te melden heeft, een idee over de wereld en kortom impact gaat maken.
Someone who has something to say, an idea about the world, and in short, will make an impact.
En het geld dat ik wil geven mag voor mij wel voor iets concreet zijn.
And the money I want to give should be for something concrete for me.
Een kunstenaar steunen, ongeacht wat diegene maakt, ga ik misschien ooit nog wel eens doen...
Supporting an artist, regardless of what they create, I might do that someday...
...als dan echt een mecenaar, als die een kunstenaar een leven lang steunt.
...if then truly a patron, if he supports an artist for a lifetime.
Maar nu vind ik het toch wel heel leuk om een concreet doel na te streven.
But now I really enjoy pursuing a concrete goal.
En ik zoek dus iemand die een beetje een coole vibe heeft.
And I'm looking for someone who has a bit of a cool vibe.
Waar ik me aan kan optrekken, die me kan inspireren.
Where I can draw strength from, that can inspire me.
Tja, dat is best wel een opgave, dus daar ben ik druk mee bezig geweest.

Van hé, ik doe een crowdfunding en ik ken diegene via VIA of we hebben elkaar een keer backstage gezien.

Omdat ik met het enorme bedrag van 500 euro heb gesupport.
