Je ziet hier bewegende kippen en stieren zijn bewegende bezen.

En hier komt weer iets voor ons.

Dat eerste en die tiende waren voor de Heer.

En die tiende.

En dat mocht je niet op een willekeurige plek doen.

Dat moest je doen in de plek...

Die door God aangesteld werd.

Who was appointed by God.

Waarom?

Why?

En dat vind ik heel mooi in dit gedeelte.

Die tiende.

The tenth.

Dat is de tiende.

That is the tenth.

Die zijn voor de Heer.

They are for the Lord.

De eerste tiende van wat je ophaalde.

The first tenth of what you collected.

Het eerste pure geboren dier van een geslacht.

The first pure-born animal of a species.

Dat droeg je aan God op.

You dedicated that to God.

Dat offerde je aan God.

That you offered to God.

Want als je dat aan God geeft.

Because if you give that to God.

Dan krijg je heel veel zegeningen terug.

Then you will receive a lot of blessings back.

Wat God hier wil.

What God wants here.

Is dat mensen leren in relatie te staan met Hem.

It is that people learn to relate to Him.

En dat het ook wat mag kosten.

And that it can also cost something.

Het is te goedkoop om een God te hebben.

It is too cheap to have a God.

Waar je niks van hoeft te doen.

Where you don't have to do anything.

Mensen zeggen wel zo.

People often say that.

Ik kom wel zonder kerk.

I'll come without a church.

Dan hoef je ook nooit te collecteren.

Then you never have to collect either.

Hoef je nooit wat voor een ander te doen.

You never have to do anything for someone else.

Nee, het gaat er hier om.

Dat geloven je ook wat mag kosten.

That belief can also come at a cost.

En dat je God daarmee dient.

En dat God op de eerste plaats moet staan.

Dus het eerste is van God.

Not for yourself.

Ik stoor me wel eens aan de leesvorm.

Je moet de kracht uit jezelf halen.

You have to draw strength from within yourself.

Jij bent belangrijk.

You are important.

En natuurlijk is dat ergens allemaal wel zo.

En je kunt dat ook ergens wel naar herleiden.

And you can trace that back to something as well.

Maar in een christelijk leven staat niet jouw ik voorop.

But in a Christian life, your self does not come first.

Jij bent minder belangrijk.

You are less important.

Namelijk wie is belangrijk is niet de ander maar is God.

Namely, who is important is not the other but is God.

God komt op de eerste plaats.

God comes first.

Dan kan Hij je zegenen.

Then He can bless you.

Als je in relatie met God staat.

If you are in a relationship with God.

Zul je die zegening ontvangen.

You will receive that blessing.

Als je in relatie staat met je eigen ik.

When you are in a relationship with your own self.

Dan word je feitelijk vervloekt.

Then you are effectively cursed.

Dan ben je buiten.

Then you are outside.

De zegeningen van de Heer.

The blessings of the Lord.

Dat is vervloekt zijn.

That is to be cursed.

Het is niet dat God zegt ben je vervloekt.

It's not that God says you are cursed.

Alleen wel niet in zijn presence.

Only not in his presence.

Niet in zijn aanwezigheid zijn.

Not being in his presence.

Is als het ware vervloekt zijn.

Is to be virtually cursed.

Daarom moeten wij ook zoveel mogelijk.

Therefore, we must do as much as possible.

Stille tijd houden.

Keep a quiet time.

En met God wandelen.

And walk with God.

God betrekken bij onze dingen.

Involve God in our matters.

Hou het niet bij de 10 minuten van de podcast.

Maar probeer meer en meer met God te wandelen.

Want hoe meer je met hem wandelt.

Hoe meer je de zegeningen van God.

Ik heb het een paar keer in mijn leven mogen ervaren.

Dat we echt heel moeilijk zaten.

Dat we het financieel moeilijk hadden.

Een buurvrouw gingen helpen.

Dat heeft God helemaal niet vervelend gedaan.

Dankzij God heb jij talenten.

Waardoor je je werk hebt.

Which gives you your job.

En waardoor je geld kan verdienen.

And how you can earn money.

Snap je wat ik bedoel.

Do you understand what I mean?

We moeten delen.

We must share.

Soms van wat we niet hebben.

Sometimes from what we do not have.

Omdat we gezegend worden aan Hem.

Because we are blessed by Him.

Omdat we in vertrouwen aan Hem.

Because we trust in Him.

Dat geldt voor ieder van u.

That applies to each of you.

Ook voor uw zonen, dochters, slavinnen en slaven.

Also for your sons, daughters, maidservants, and slaves.

En voor de Leviten.

And for the Levites.

Die bij u in de stad wonen.

Those who live in your city.

Ten overstaande van de Heer uw God.

Ten above your Lord your God.

Zult u genieten van de vrucht van uw armen.

You will enjoy the fruit of your labor.

Maar let er op.

But watch out.

Dat zolang u in dat land woont.

As long as you live in that country.

De Leviten niet vergeet.

Do not forget the Levites.

Weet je.

Dat is ook de reden dat ik.

Dus dat is de reden.

In de kerk moeten ze hun voorgangers onderhouden.

Dat is heel arrogant om dit allemaal van jezelf te zeggen.

Maar zo werkt het.

Ik leef van giften van de gemeente.
