Norman Centuries Podcast Teaser

For those who are interested, I have a new podcast called Norman Centuries, about the rise of medieval Europe's most formidable and unlikely conquerors.

Largely propelled by self-made men, these rough warriors held popes and emperors at bay, and established one of the most splendid kingdoms of the Middle Ages.

Part of their story is well known, the conquest of England in 1066 by William the Conqueror.

But the rest, the stunning triumphs in southern Italy and the Levant, deserve equal attention.

I'll be covering the whole story, from the band of Viking raiders that settled Normandy, to the last king of Sicily as he sailed away into captivity.
