Heligoats - Are You Saying Yes?

IndieFeed: Alternative / Modern Rock Music

The Heliogoats, are you saying yes?

And I want my choices back

In the war of the world

I'm an army of one

In an air raid on millions

I'm afraid of nothing

And the color of their skin

Looks like the color of my skin

Looks like the color of my blood

And the news, the secret service singing

Everybody run

I need to say that I've killed a man

And the way they represent me

Is not the way I am

And the collection was a scam

And who knows how good it could be

If she were in command

And we didn't speak in any small brings or blasts

But why would we bomb the bush

If the birds in our hand

And all I know

Is you're keeping me alive

And I want us in a bubble

And I want no one else in sight

And if you lived here

You'd be home by now

But the evil of the evil

Let the leading check out

Meanwhile the eggheads

They really think that they know

Kill a mother's child in cold blood

But one touching embryo

And the dream has to end

There's no chance of making a sound

Let's explore our feelings deeper

Let's let love be our defense

I love you and your fashion

You're so perfectly distracted

And are you saying yes if I say I'm out?

And are you saying yes if I say I'm asking?

That was the Heli-Goats with their track Are You Saying Yes?

off the EP Loose Ends, released August 2012 by Gray Day Records.

Heli-Goats, the first songwriting project of frontman Chris Otepka,

began in 1998 before the eventual creation of his second group, Troubled Hubble.

That band took up the bulk of his time between 1999 and 2005.

When they broke apart, Otepka began digging up old songs and recording sessions

and brought them back, beginning with this, the EP release.

Look out for their full length, Back to the Ache.
