Hello everyone, today we meet for the first episode of In the Dark.

Regardez bien sous votre lit et fermez bien votre placard, car on ne sait pas ce qu'il peut se passer dans In the Dark.

Look carefully under your bed and make sure to close your closet tightly, because we don't know what might happen in In the Dark.

Et qu'on envoyait ça à ses amis pour se faire un peu peur, comme maintenant des fois.

And that we would send it to our friends to scare them a little, like sometimes now.

Et tout de suite, on se retrouve pour la première histoire.

And right away, we meet for the first story.

Cette histoire s'intitule Slenderman.

This story is titled Slenderman.

Après s'être levée par une secousse, la fille reste accouchée au lit encore quelques secondes.

After getting up with a jolt, the girl remains lying in bed for a few more seconds.

En se penchant pour allumer sa lampe de chevet, elle essayait de se souvenir de ce qu'il avait tiré de sa douce torpeur.

Leaning over to turn on her bedside lamp, she tried to remember what had pulled her from her sweet stupor.

La brune se leva du lit.

The brunette got up from the bed.

En regardant l'heure sur son téléphone, elle grogna car elle vit qu'il était minuit l'heure du crime.

Looking at the time on her phone, she groaned as she saw that it was midnight, the hour of the crime.

Sachant que le sommeil ne reviendrait pas avant un moment,

Knowing that sleep would not return for a while,

elle quitta la chambre pour la cuisine pour une bonne nuit.

She left the room for the kitchen for a good night.

Une tasse de café.

A cup of coffee.

Alors qu'elle passait devant sa porte d'entrée, un désagréable frisson lui parcourut les chines.

As she walked past her front door, an unpleasant chill ran down her spine.

Ce n'est que l'hiver, pensa-t-elle, repensant à ce qu'elle faisait.

It's only winter, she thought, reflecting on what she was doing.

Préparer les cuillerées, l'eau et sa tasse, la teint occupée.

Prepare the spoons, the water, and her cup, the dye busy.

Mais alors que le liquide bout, elle n'avait plus rien d'autre à faire, le frisson revint.

But as the liquid boiled, she had nothing else to do, the shiver returned.

Et elle ne put s'empêcher de regarder vers la porte d'entrée.

And she couldn't help but look towards the front door.

Ça restait là, sans bouger, silencieusement.

It remained there, unmoving, silently.

Comme d'ordinaire.

As usual.

Le verrou était toujours en place et elle ne voyait aucun mal à ça.

The lock was still in place, and she saw no harm in that.

Retournant vers son café, elle fit de son mieux pour oublier cette sensation.

Returning to her coffee, she did her best to forget that feeling.

Sa tasse en main, elle rebrousse sa chemin pour la chambre.

With her cup in hand, she retraces her steps back to the room.

En passant devant la porte d'entrée, elle décida de jeter au moins un coup d'œil dans la plus intense à mesure

As she passed by the front door, she decided to at least take a look in the most intense way.

qu'elle reviendrait.

that she would come back.

Elle apprenait qu'elle approchait de la porte et s'éloignait de la chaleur sur de la moquette.

She realized that she was approaching the door and moving away from the warmth on the carpet.

Elle pressa sa main contre la porte de métal froide, prit une grande inspiration et regarda par le Judas.

She pressed her hand against the cold metal door, took a deep breath, and looked through the peephole.

Au début, elle ne put voir qu'un noir d'encre qui semblait tourbillonner un peu.

At first, she could only see an inky blackness that seemed to swirl a little.

Quand elle cligna de surprise, le vide avait disparu.

When she blinked in surprise, the emptiness had vanished.

Elle aurait souhaité qu'il soit là.

She would have liked him to be there.

À la place se tenaient ceux qui lui semblaient être un homme.

Instead stood those who seemed to him to be a man.

Les jambes étaient longues et bizarrement inhumains.

The legs were long and strangely inhuman.

Avec des branches sur certains bras, pas comme les branches d'un arbre,

With branches on certain arms, not like the branches of a tree,

la créature était drapée d'un drap noir, cachant ce qui semblait le plus cauchemardesque pour elle.

The creature was draped in a black shroud, hiding what seemed to be the most nightmarish to it.

La cerise sur le gâteau, cependant, était le visage infernal de la chose.

The cherry on the cake, however, was the hellish face of the thing.

C'est comme si son esprit avait flouté.

It's as if her mind had blurred.

Elle avait flouté le visage pour cacher l'horreur, qui se cachait en réalité.

She had blurred the face to hide the horror that was actually lurking beneath.

Elle s'éloigna de la porte, la main toujours contre celle-ci.

She stepped away from the door, her hand still against it.

The coffee cup fell to the ground, the liquid burning her legs,

alors qu'elle tombait en arrière et tentait de fuir la porte en rempant.

as she fell backwards and tried to escape the door by crawling.

Elle savait plus ou moins que son mental ne lui jouait pas de tour.

She knew more or less that her mind was not playing tricks on her.

Alors qu'elle fuyait la porte, elle regarda et tendit l'oreille pour se débrouiller.

As she rushed toward the door, she looked back and strained to hear in order to make sense of things.

Elle ne pouvait plus surveiller ce qui se passait à la porte.

She could no longer keep an eye on what was happening at the door.

La fille était partagée entre le besoin de fuir et celui de ne pas se retrouver dos à la porte.

The girl was torn between the need to escape and the desire not to have her back to the door.

Quand la porte se déverrouilla, le besoin de fuir l'emporta,

When the door unlocked, the need to escape took over,

mais elle glissa sur le café brûlant en tentant de courir dans sa chambre.

but she slipped on the burning coffee while trying to run to her room.

Elle savait qu'elle était coincée quoi qu'il arrive, mais il lui fallait s'éloigner de cette porte.

She knew she was trapped no matter what happened, but she needed to move away from that door.

La fille était à mi-chemin du couloir quand elle entendait...

The girl was halfway down the corridor when she heard...

...la porte déverrouillée grincer en s'ouvrant.

...the unlocked door creaked as it opened.

Elle hurla et s'écroula contre un mur tombant sur le menton et s'assomma.

She screamed and collapsed against a wall, falling on her chin and knocking herself out.

Après cela, il n'y eut plus que les ténèbres.

After that, there was nothing but darkness.

Nicole, une voix douce masculine, sortit la femme de son sommeil.

Nicole, a soft masculine voice, brought the woman out of her sleep.

Alors qu'elle se tournait, elle fut accueillie par le docteur de sa soeur.

As she turned, she was greeted by her sister's doctor.

Elle hocha la tête, ignorant si elle devait dire quelque chose...

She nodded, unsure if she should say something...

...ou même si elle pouvait trouver la force de parler ce matin.

...or even if she could find the strength to speak this morning.

Elle a eu un appel érangeant de l'hôpital, disant que sa soeur Lindsay était là.

She received a disturbing call from the hospital, saying that her sister Lindsay was there.

Avant qu'elle n'ait pu aller voir le docteur, elle a pris à part et insista pour parler de ce qui aurait pu arriver.

Before she could see the doctor, she took him aside and insisted on talking about what could have happened.

Des mots comme auto-infliger et assaut ont été dits et Nicole n'avait aucune idée de ce qui se passait.

Words like self-inflict and assault were said, and Nicole had no idea what was happening.

Elle n'avait toujours pas compris lorsqu'elle finit par voir Lindsay avec ses propres yeux.

She still hadn't understood when she finally saw Lindsay with her own eyes.

Sa petite soeur avait un bandage à la tête couvrant ses yeux et ses oreilles.

His little sister had a bandage on her head covering her eyes and ears.

Ils dirent que c'était pour que ses yeux se soignaient, ne sèchent pas et pour prévenir les risques d'infection sur les plaies que Lindsay s'était faite aux oreilles.

They said it was so that her eyes could heal, not dry out, and to prevent the risk of infection on the wounds that Lindsay had made on her ears.

Les docteurs ont théorisé que...

The doctors theorized that...

...elle ou quelqu'un d'autre avait planté un stylo dedans pour lui perturber l'équilibre ou pour l'empêcher de se défendre contre quelque chose.

...she or someone else had planted a pen in it to disrupt its balance or to prevent it from defending itself against something.

Il y avait des brûlures aux deux premiers degrés sur les mains, les jambes et les pieds probablement dues au café que les voisins ont trouvé par terre lorsqu'ils sont arrivés.

There were first-degree burns on the hands, legs, and feet, probably caused by the coffee that the neighbors found on the ground when they arrived.

Alors que Nicole marchait dans la chambre d'hôpital de sa soeur, pour la première fois, elle crut voir la silhouette d'un homme à la fenêtre.

As Nicole walked through her sister's hospital room, for the first time, she thought she saw the silhouette of a man at the window.

Mais elle savait que c'était impossible.

But she knew that it was impossible.

La chambre de sa soeur était au troisième étage de l'hôpital.

Her sister's room was on the third floor of the hospital.

Et voilà, c'est tout pour cette première histoire.

Bonjour. Vous pouvez m'appeler l'horloge car je ne te supporte pas quand quelque chose se passe alors qu'il n'en est pas l'heure.

Hello. You can call me the clock because I can't stand you when something happens before its time.

J'ai écrit cette lettre pour me mettre en garde. Depuis environ un mois, j'ai remarqué que cette obsession s'est aggravée.

I wrote this letter to warn myself. For about a month, I have noticed that this obsession has worsened.

En effet, j'ai commencé à me sentir coupable et à en devenir malade quand je devais sauter un repas ou même encore que je me réveillais en retard.

Indeed, I started to feel guilty and became sick when I had to skip a meal or even when I woke up late.

La lettre de l'horloge.

The letter of the clock.

Mon emploi du temps devenait trop important.

My schedule was becoming too important.

Pourquoi vous mettre en garde ? Eh bien, figurez-vous qu'au milieu de ce mois, une voix a commencé à se manifester dans ma tête.

Why warn you? Well, believe it or not, in the middle of this month, a voice started to manifest in my head.

Elle semblait être ma propre voix, tout ça était un peu plus aigu.

It seemed to be my own voice, it was all a little higher.

Bien sûr, personne à part moi n'était tout courant de ça.

Of course, no one but me was aware of that.

Au début, elle n'était pas vraiment dérangeante.

At first, it wasn't really disturbing.

Elle me réveillait le matin et me rappelait mon emploi du temps.

She would wake me up in the morning and remind me of my schedule.

Je l'ai surnommée Tic.

I nicknamed her Tic.

A cause de ce bruit d'horloge qui se trouvait dans ma chambre.

Because of the clock noise that was in my room.

Mais maintenant, j'ai 16 ans.

But now, I am 16 years old.

Depuis 3 jours.

For 3 days.

3 journées que Tic a rendu insupportables.

Three days that Tic has made unbearable.

Elle me répétait sans cesse que je n'avais plus besoin de mes parents maintenant.

She kept repeating to me that I no longer needed my parents now.

Et qu'il était temps pour eux de mourir.

And that it was time for them to die.

J'ai tenté d'ignorer mais...

I tried to ignore it but...

Quand j'ai ouvert mon emploi du temps, avant d'aller dormir la nuit,

When I opened my schedule before going to sleep at night,

j'ai senti des larmes couler sur ma joue.

I felt tears running down my cheek.

Mon obsession refaisait surface.

My obsession was resurfacing.

J'ai donc été me coucher.

So I went to bed.

Mais je me suis réveillée à 1h du matin.

But I woke up at 1 am.

Je me suis rendue dans mon salon.

I went to my living room.

Mon père disait son journal comme Tic l'avait prévu.

My father kept his journal as Tic had planned.

J'ai baissé les yeux vers mon poignet pour voir ma montre.

I lowered my eyes to my wrist to see my watch.

Attendant qu'il soit 1h10, un coup de tour en moi.

While it is 1:10, a turn of a tour in me.

Lorsqu'il fut l'heure, je me suis rapidement jetée sur mon père.

When the time came, I quickly threw myself on my father.

Porté la lame à sa gorge et son sang commença à tâcher sa semise.

He held the blade to his throat and his blood began to stain his shirt.

J'ai rattrapé un...

I caught up with a...

Un bloc de feuilles et un stylo avant de partir en courant.

A pad of paper and a pen before leaving in a hurry.

Entendant les pas précipités de ma mère dans le jet-skate.

Hearing my mother's hurried footsteps on the jet-ski.

Me voilà maintenant dans la forêt.

Here I am now in the forest.

Tic me dit qu'il est 9h.
