Et oui, en gros, quand je suis passée directrice d'agence, j'avais déjà pas mal de temps derrière moi,

Yes, basically, when I became the agency director, I already had quite a bit of experience behind me.

j'avais évolué sur plusieurs postes, donc l'évolution sur ce poste-là,

I had progressed through several positions, so the advancement in this position,

ce n'était pas nouveau, donc par contre c'était effectivement le cap à passer en manager.

It wasn't new, so on the other hand, it was indeed the milestone to achieve as a manager.

Et quand je suis arrivée sur ce poste-là, déjà à l'entretien,

on m'avait précisé que l'équipe était quelque peu panachée en caractère

et que voilà, en gros, on attendait que je puisse accompagner l'équipe et gérer l'équipe.

Voilà, c'était un challenge.

Et effectivement, quand je suis arrivée,

j'ai constaté que c'était quelque peu particulier.

Donc il faut savoir qu'en agence, on est habitué à avoir des problématiques

Parfois on est en sous-effectif, c'est même très courant.

Ce n'est pas quelque chose que je ne connais pas, moi je l'avais même moi vécu en tant qu'adjointe,

j'avais toujours eu des super équipes,

même si je n'étais pas manager. Et là, quand j'ai pris l'agence et donc j'ai eu mon équipe à gérer,

Donc on était en effectif réduit et on était en situation claire de conflit

Elle ne s'appréciait pas.

Et j'avais une adjointe qui était très poussive et très désagréable.

And I had an assistant who was very pushy and very unpleasant.

Et elle allait souvent chercher celle qui était…

Donc en fait, on parle d'une personne qui était à l'accueil,

So actually, we're talking about a person who was at the reception.

qui accueillait le public tous les jours, au quotidien, du matin jusqu'au soir.

who welcomed the public every day, daily, from morning until evening.

Et c'était…

Comment dire ?

How to say?

Enfin, c'était du conflit permanent.

In the end, it was a permanent conflict.

C'est-à-dire que je me suis retrouvée très, très souvent à faire des entretiens dans mon bureau,

sur les pauses déjeuners,

during lunch breaks,

à arbitrer les tensions entre ces deux personnes,

to mediate the tensions between these two people,

qui en soi, chacune de leur côté pouvait être très charmante,

mais alors le cocktail était effroyable au quotidien.

But then the cocktail was dreadful on a daily basis.

Et donc j'ai désamorcé beaucoup, beaucoup de solutions, de situations,

En laissant des temps de parole à chacune, pour qu'elles puissent vider chacune leur sac.

By giving each of them time to speak so that they can each empty their bag.

En arbitrant, mais avec un max de bienveillance en fait.

C'est des êtres humains, je pense que chacun a sa valeur.

They are human beings, I think everyone has their value.

On peut être dans un contexte absolument colérique ou parce qu'on n'est pas bien.

One can be in an absolutely angry context or because one is not feeling well.

Donc à chaque fois, c'était de chercher les points qui posaient problème,

So each time, it was about identifying the problematic points,

de les désamorcer, de laisser chacun s'exprimer,

to defuse them, to let everyone express themselves,

pour que ça puisse repartir sur des situations plus saines.

so that it can start over in healthier situations.

Alors ça a tenu un petit peu.

So it held a little bit.

On a tenu comme ça à bout de bras,

We held on like that with outstretched arms,

pendant peut-être un an.

for maybe a year.

Puis le problème, c'est que du coup, la direction tannait aussi.

Then the problem is that, as a result, the management was also nagging.

Alors il y avait beaucoup au niveau des résultats.

So there was a lot in terms of the results.

Donc là-dessus, sur ce climat-là, il fallait rajouter la pression du résultat.

So on that note, in this climate, there was also the pressure of the result to consider.

Donc je temporisais beaucoup, j'absorbais beaucoup la dureté des prérogatives de la direction.

So I was stalling a lot, I was absorbing a lot of the harshness of the management's prerogatives.

Et j'essayais d'amortir au maximum et de rendre l'objectivation très douce.

And I was trying to cushion as much as possible and make the objectification very gentle.

Enfin, j'essayais...

Finally, I was trying...

J'essayais d'animer vraiment sous forme de jeu.

I was trying to really animate in the form of a game.

Enfin, je voulais vraiment que ça soit quelque chose...

Finally, I really wanted it to be something...

Enfin, qu'on ait une ambiance.

Finally, let’s have an atmosphere.

On n'était que trois dans une agence pas trop isolée,

There were only three of us in a not too isolated agency,

mais on était ensemble tous les jours.

but we were together every day.

Et je voulais que ça soit le plus agréable possible.

And I wanted it to be as pleasant as possible.

Et quand les objectifs n'étaient pas suffisants,

And when the objectives were not sufficient,

j'avais les responsables qui descendaient dans le bureau,

I had the executives coming down to the office,

qui venaient faire des visites.

who came to make visits.

Et donc j'avais des entretiens où on m'expliquait qu'il fallait littéralement

And so I had interviews where I was explained that it was necessary to literally

que je reprenne en main mon équipe,

that I take back control of my team,

que je reprenne en main le comportement,

that I take control of the behavior,

soit de mon adjointe, soit de la personne à l'accueil,

either from my assistant or from the person at the reception,

ma collègue de l'accueil,

my colleague at the reception,

qu'il fallait que, quitte à faire des entretiens de recadrage,

that it was necessary to, even if it meant having corrective interviews,

et dans l'entretien de recadrage,

and in the reframing interview,

il était entendu qu'il fallait pressuriser la personne

It was understood that the person needed to be pressured.

pour que clairement elle rentre dans ce qu'on lui demande de faire

so that she clearly fits into what is asked of her

et de formaliser au maximum en cas de non-réussite ou d'échec.

and to formalize as much as possible in case of non-success or failure.

Enfin, non-réussite.

Finally, failure.

Échec, c'est à peu près la même chose, mais non-respect.

Enfin, voilà, de prendre un maximum d'informations au quotidien

et de formaliser au maximum les situations d'échec.

Ce qui n'est pas du tout dans ma manière de fonctionner.

Donc voilà, j'ai travaillé pendant à peu près un an et demi

So there you go, I worked for about a year and a half.

dans ce type d'ambiance.

Et effectivement, après, par la suite,

And indeed, afterwards, later on,

je suis tombée enceinte de ma deuxième fille.

I became pregnant with my second daughter.

Et du coup, ça n'a pas forcément été plus simple.

And so, it hasn't necessarily been any easier.

Donc, entre-temps, avant de tomber enceinte,

So, in the meantime, before getting pregnant,

j'avais participé aux élections du personnel,

I had participated in the staff elections,

donc j'étais devenue déléguée du personnel.

So I had become a staff representative.

Et je me prenais des remarques, d'ailleurs, à partir de ce moment-là.

And I started receiving comments from that moment on.

Ça n'avait pas plu en me disant que, de toute façon,

It hadn't pleased me by saying that, in any case,

si mon adjointe continuait d'embêter la personne de l'accueil,

if my assistant kept bothering the person at the reception,

enfin la collègue de l'accueil,

finally the receptionist,

elle aurait des soucis.

She would have problems.

Donc moi, après, j'expliquais que j'arbitrais au maximum.

So I was explaining that I was refereeing as much as possible.

Et maintenant, s'il y avait un réel malaise

And now, if there was a real discomfort

et qu'il y avait réellement une situation de harcèlement,

and that there was indeed a situation of harassment,

pour moi, je ne couvrirais pas une personne

For me, I would not cover a person.

qui est dans un comportement agressif,

mais par contre, que je faisais le maximum

but on the other hand, that I was doing my best

pour permettre à tout le monde de pouvoir s'exprimer,

to allow everyone to express themselves,

évacuer, s'expliquer et rendre la situation saine,

mais que si la situation ne pouvait pas s'assainir,

effectivement, il faudrait prendre des prérogatives.

Donc, soit déplacer les personnes,

mais qu'en tout cas, effectivement, je ne suis pas là pour couvrir,

et que mon équipe se sente bien au quotidien.

À cinq mois de grossesse, tu es convoquée par le N plus 3

pour un entretien que tu qualifies de lynchage.

for an interview that you qualify as a lynching.

Qu'est-ce qu'il s'est passé pendant cet entretien ?

What happened during that interview?

Alors, cet entretien...

So, this interview...

Alors, j'ai été convoquée d'une manière...

So, I was summoned in a way...

J'aurais dû me douter que c'était...

I should have suspected that it was...

Enfin, que c'était un guet-apens,

Finally, it was an ambush,

puisque j'ai été convoquée dans l'heure.

since I was summoned on the hour.

On m'appelle le matin, on me dit, voilà,

I am called in the morning, they say to me, here it is,

donc l'équivalent du N plus 3,

so the equivalent of N plus 3,

Monsieur Intel, peu de voir.

Mr. Intel, it's good to see you.

OK.

OK.

Donc, moi, il fallait que je dégage l'agent.

So, I had to get rid of the agent.

Je ne pouvais pas être...

I could not be...

Je ne pouvais pas partir.

I couldn't leave.

Donc, ils ont fait venir un collègue pour me remplacer.

So, they brought in a colleague to replace me.

C'était prévu en une heure.

It was scheduled for one hour.

Ils se sont organisés.

They organized themselves.

D'habitude, il faut trois jours.

Usually, it takes three days.

Et donc, je prends ma voiture, je remonte.

And so, I take my car, I go back up.

J'en ai pour plus de trois quarts d'heure de route

I have more than three quarters of an hour of driving ahead of me.

parce qu'il y avait des bouchons.

because there were traffic jams.

J'arrive et que je me présente au bureau.

I arrive and introduce myself at the office.

Je me prends la réflexion déjà que j'ai 20 minutes de retard.

I'm already reflecting on the fact that I'm 20 minutes late.

Donc, il faut savoir que mon agence,

So, it should be known that my agency,

là où était situé le siège où il était,

where the seat where he was located was situated,

je ne pouvais pas venir en un quart d'heure.

I couldn't come in a quarter of an hour.

Ce n'était pas possible.

Et je me dis, bon, ça commence bien.

Donc, oui, j'étais déjà bien enceinte en plus,

So, yes, I was already quite pregnant on top of that.

entre cinq et six mois.

Donc, j'avais un bon petit bidon.

So, I had a nice little belly.

Et donc, moi, ça faisait déjà depuis deux, trois mois

And so, for me, it had already been two or three months.

que j'étais dans un état assez compliqué

puisque je vomissais beaucoup, beaucoup, beaucoup, beaucoup,

since I was vomiting a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot,

14 fois.

14 times.

Trois fois par jour, ça commence à être beaucoup.

Three times a day is starting to be a lot.

Donc, je perdais du poids, je ne grossissais pas.

So, I was losing weight, I wasn't gaining weight.

Enfin, voilà.

Finally, here we are.

Mais je continuais à venir parce que, voilà,

But I kept coming because, you see,

je me disais qu'il fallait que je tienne mon poste.

I was telling myself that I had to hold onto my position.

Et quand je suis arrivée à cet entretien,

And when I arrived at this interview,

donc, j'arrive dans le bureau

So, I arrive in the office.

et donc, il y a mon N plus 3,

and so, there is my N plus 3,

mon N plus 1, N plus 2, pardon, qui est assis,

my N plus 1, N plus 2, sorry, who is sitting,

l'ARH qui est assise.

the HR who is sitting.

Et donc, je m'assois en bout de table

And so, I sit at the end of the table.

avec ces trois devant moi.

with these three in front of me.

Et là, au moment où je m'assois,

And there, at the moment I sit down,

je commence à me faire enchaîner.

I’m starting to get chained up.

Mais, bien, c'est oui.

But, well, yes.

Vous savez pourquoi vous êtes là ?

Do you know why you are here?

Non, je ne sais pas.

No, I don't know.

Eh bien, c'est simple.

Well, it's simple.

Vous ne faites rien de bien.

You are not doing anything right.

Ok, d'accord.

Okay, alright.

Et donc, sur ce, au moment où ça démarre comme ça,

And so, at this moment when it starts like this,

je leur dis, écoutez,

I say to them, listen,

je vois un peu la teneur de ce qui va arriver.

I can somewhat see the nature of what is going to happen.

Donc, je souhaiterais qu'on s'arrête là

So, I would like us to stop there.

et je demande à revenir accompagner.

And I ask to come back accompanied.

Après tout, j'ai le droit.

After all, I have the right.

Et je me lève.

And I get up.

Et là, mon réveil,

And then, my alarm clock,

mon directeur se lève à son tour

et me dit, si vous sortez de cette pièce,

and tells me, if you leave this room,

je vous colle un blâme.

I'm giving you a warning.

J'ai dit, ok, j'aimerais bien voir ça.

I said, okay, I would like to see that.

Puis, je lui dis, bon, de toute façon, je suis là.

Then I said to him, well, anyway, I am here.

Je fais, bon, allez-y, ce n'est pas grave.

I'm doing, well, go ahead, it's not a big deal.

Donc, je me rassois

So, I sit back down.

et j'avais mon téléphone, en fait, dans la main.

and I actually had my phone in my hand.

Et j'étais hyper nerveuse.

And I was super nervous.

Je l'allumais, je l'éteignais, j'allumais, je l'éteignais.

I would turn it on, I would turn it off, I would turn it on, I would turn it off.

Et donc, en gros, l'entretien commence

So, basically, the interview starts.

et ils sortent les chiffres de l'agence.

and they release the figures from the agency.

Ils sortent, voilà, tout, enfin, comment ça s'appelle ?

They go out, there you go, everything, finally, what is it called?

C'est le R sur O global de l'agence.

It's the global R on O of the agency.

Et je m'en prends plein la figure.

And I'm getting it in the face.

On me dit que je suis polluante,

I am told that I am polluting,

on me dit que je suis un problème,

I'm told that I am a problem.

on me dit qu'il n'y a que moi.

I am told that there is only me.

Alors, ce qui est faux, archi-faux,

So, what is wrong, completely wrong,

j'avais une agence avec une particularité,

I had an agency with a particularity,

on était quatre sur le secteur à avoir les mêmes particularités

There were four of us in the area who had the same characteristics.

et on avait exactement les mêmes problématiques.

and we had exactly the same issues.

Sauf que, en fait, souvent en réunion,

Except that, in fact, often in meetings,

moi, je ne me laissais pas faire

I wouldn't let myself be pushed around.

et je remontais les problématiques,

and I was raising the issues,

que ce soit de personnel, d'arrêt,

whether it is personal, stoppage,

le fait qu'on ne soit pas remplacé,

the fact that we are not replaced,

on a des interdictions de rester seule.

We are prohibited from staying alone.

J'étais restée plusieurs fois seule dans mon agent

I had been alone in my office several times.

jusqu'à des 19 heures.

up to 7 PM.

Donc, ça ne plaisait pas.

So, it was not liked.

On avait des contrôles de procédure.

We had procedure checks.

Dans les contrôles de procédure,

In the procedure controls,

on m'alignait sur des résultats

I was aligned with the results.

et je recadrais en disant que dans les contrôles de procédure,

and I clarified by saying that in the procedural controls,

les résultats ne devaient pas apparaître.

the results were not supposed to appear.

Donc, je ne m'attelais à répondre

So, I wasn't getting to answering.

qu'au niveau des contrôles de procédure.

only at the level of procedure controls.

Ça m'a valu des mails longs comme le bras,

It earned me long emails.

comme quoi on ne voit pas de quoi je me mêle.

As if one does not see what I am getting involved in.

Si on me pose une question, je dois répondre

If I am asked a question, I must answer.

et je répondais que non,

and I replied that no,

ce n'était pas dans les procédures.

it wasn't in the procedures.

Du coup, j'étais polluante.

So, I was polluting.

J'étais un disque rayé.

I was a scratched record.

Techniquement, parce que je ne me laissais pas faire,

Technically, because I wouldn't let it happen,

mais en gros, c'était de ma faute.

But basically, it was my fault.

Je ne savais pas faire.

I didn't know how to do it.

Je ne servais à rien.

I was of no use.

De toute façon, ça ne servait à rien de m'accompagner.

In any case, it was useless to accompany me.

Pendant 20 minutes, ça s'enchaîne, ça s'enchaîne.

For 20 minutes, it just keeps going, it just keeps going.

Du coup, je ne réponds pas.

So, I don't respond.

Parce que je me fais littéralement fusiller.

Because I'm literally being shot at.

Et puis après, quand mon temps de parole arrive,

And then afterwards, when it's my turn to speak,

je ne me laisse pas faire, j'explique.

I won't let myself be pushed around, I'll explain.

Je dis que non, ce n'est pas vrai.

I say no, it's not true.

On est plusieurs dans ce cas-là.

Je le remonte.

Ça fait neuf ans que je suis dans cette entreprise

I have been with this company for nine years.

et que ça fait neuf ans que je respecte très bien les codes

and that I have been following the rules very well for nine years

et que pour preuve, j'ai des notations excellentes tous les ans

And as proof, I have excellent grades every year.

et que je n'ai pas été promue sur ce poste de manager

and that I was not promoted to this manager position

parce que je ne le méritais pas,

because I didn't deserve it,

mais parce que clairement, j'avais des compétences.

but because clearly, I had skills.

Et que ce n'est pas moi qui les avais remontées.

And that it wasn't me who had put them back up.

C'était d'anciens responsables qui étaient très satisfaits

It was former officials who were very satisfied.

et que je suis arrivée sur des problématiques

and that I encountered issues

pour lesquelles je ne peux pas faire grand-chose

for which I cannot do much

dans la mesure où, hormis faire preuve d'énormément de bienveillance

to the extent that, apart from showing an enormous amount of kindness

et de patience, je ne suis pas accompagnée aussi.

And with patience, I am not accompanied either.

Donc, je n'ai pas d'armes, je n'ai pas de levier,

So, I have no weapons, I have no leverage,

je n'ai pas de possibilité de dire à quelqu'un qui se sent mal

I have no way to tell someone who feels bad.

« je vais t'aider à éventuellement aller voir sur une autre agence ».

"I will help you possibly go see another agency."

Tout ça, je ne l'ai pas.

I don't have any of that.

En fait, je ne sers qu'à répéter.

In fact, I'm only here to repeat.

Les objectifs et à les appliquer.

The objectives and to apply them.

Et je n'ai aucune marge de manœuvre.

And I have no leeway.

En fait, techniquement, je suis une manager qui ne sert à rien.

In fact, technically, I am a manager who is useless.

Je suis juste pour manager des objectifs, en fait.

I am just here to manage objectives, actually.

Et donc, du coup, je leur explique et je leur dis

And so, as a result, I explain to them and I tell them.

que je suis déçue du poste de manager,

that I am disappointed with the manager position,

je suis déçue de mon suivi parce que ma N plus 1 ne m'accompagne pas

I am disappointed with my follow-up because my N plus 1 is not supporting me.

et que je ne suis pas responsable

and that I am not responsible

et que je ne comprends pas cet entretien.

and that I do not understand this interview.

Et je regarde bien parce que la seule personne

And I watch closely because the only person

qui parlait était donc bien le N plus 3.

the person speaking was indeed the N plus 3.

Mon N plus 2 me regardait baisser les yeux.

My N plus 2 was watching me lower my eyes.

Ma RH me regardait baisser les yeux.

My HR was watching me lower my eyes.

Personne n'a prononcé un mot.

No one said a word.

La RH ne s'est pas opposée au lynchage.

HR did not oppose the lynching.

Et clairement, il fallait savoir que ce genre d'entretien-là,
