In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Inna alhamda lillahi nahmadu
Indeed, all praise is due to Allah; we praise Him.
wa nasta'inuhu wa nasta'aghfiruh
We seek His help and ask for His forgiveness.
wa na'udhu billahi min shururi anfusina
And we seek refuge with Allah from the evils of our souls.
wa min sayyati a'malina
and from the evils of our deeds
man yahdihi allahu fala mudhillalah
Whom Allah guides, none can mislead.
wa man yudhlil fala hadiyalah
"And whoever is led astray, there is no guide for him."
wa ashahadu an la ilaha illallah wahda
And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, alone.

There is no partner but Him.
wa ashahadu anna muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluh
And I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger.
sallallahu alayhi wa ala alihi
May peace be upon him and upon his family.
wa sahbihi ajma'in
and to his companions altogether.
Allahumma la ilma lana illa ma allamtana
O Allah, we have no knowledge except what You have taught us.
Allahumma allimna ma yanfa'una
O Allah, teach us that which benefits us.
wa zidna ilma
"And increase our knowledge."
wa aslih lana sha'nana kulla
And rectify for us our affairs in all matters.
wa la takilla ila ala ala ala
and do not speak except about the highest (things)

tu te dois de prendre conscience qu'en réalité

Et lorsque tu médites sur ta situation,
And when you meditate on your situation,
trois questions vont venir à ton esprit
Three questions will come to your mind.
dont tu n'auras aucune réponse,

mais ces trois questions vont t'aider à préparer cette mort.

Mais le fait de garder à l'esprit sans cesse

et que le prophète, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, a retrouvé cette force-là qui a pu se lever,
and that the Prophet, peace be upon him, regained that strength which was able to rise,
et il a pu tirer le rideau qu'il y a entre lui et sa mosquée, entre sa maison et sa mosquée.
And he was able to pull the curtain that is between him and his mosque, between his house and his mosque.
Alors Abu Bakr, radiyallahu anhu, qu'il voit le prophète, alayhi wa sallam, qu'est-ce qu'il fait ?
So Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, when he sees the Prophet, may peace be upon him, what does he do?
Il veut s'écarter pour qu'il prenne sa place.

Et le prophète, alayhi wa sallam, lui dirait-il, continuez la prière, continuez la prière.

il a donné un conseil.

Celui qui préserve sa prière, la prière sera pour lui une lumière.

Une lumière dans sa vie, une lumière dans sa tombe, une lumière au jour de la résurrection.

Une lumière sur le Sérat, sur le pont qui traverse l'enfer.
A light on the Serat, on the bridge that crosses hell.
Pour mener au paradis.
To lead to paradise.
La prière sera pour toi un argument et un succès au jour de la résurrection.
Prayer will be for you an argument and a success on the day of resurrection.
Mais celui qui ne préserve pas sa prière,
But he who does not preserve his prayer,
il n'aura pas de lumière.
There will be no light.
Il n'aura pas d'argument.
He will have no argument.
Il n'aura pas de succès au jour de la résurrection.
He will not have success on the day of resurrection.
Et suivez la fin.

Celui qui ne préserve pas sa prière, on ne parle pas de quelqu'un qui ne prie pas.

Un ange qui prend une énorme pierre et qui lui écrase la tête.
An angel who takes a huge stone and crushes his head.
Imagine.
Imagine.
L'ange va chercher la pierre de nouveau.
The angel is going to fetch the stone again.
Et Allah remet une nouvelle tête à cette personne.
And Allah gives this person a new head.
Comme ça, il subit encore le châtiment.
That way, he still suffers the punishment.
Ça, c'est que dans la tombe.
That, is only in the grave.
Et il écrase.
And he crushes.
Il écrase encore.
He crushes again.
Et ça ne s'arrête pas.
And it doesn't stop.
Le prophète, lorsqu'il a demandé quel était le péché de cette personne,
The prophet, when he asked what was the sin of this person,
qu'est-ce que Jibril a répondu ?

Il dormait pendant les heures de prière obligatoire.
He was sleeping during the mandatory prayer times.
Il rejetait le Coran.
He rejected the Quran.
Il y a quoi comme plus grand rejet du Coran que de ne pas prier à l'heure ?
What greater rejection of the Quran is there than not praying on time?
De dormir.
To sleep.
Alors que c'est l'heure de la prière.
While it is time for prayer.
De être plongé, noyé dans ton coussin.
To be immersed, drowned in your pillow.
Alors que les musulmans sont en rang.
While the Muslims are in line.
Derrière l'imam des musulmans.

En train de réciter le Coran.
In the process of reciting the Quran.
La parole d'Allah.

On ne doit pas être fier de nous.
We should not be proud of ourselves.

Mais on ne doit pas désespérer.

C'est tous une mission que l'on a.

Une mission que l'on a, c'est de fréquenter.

Et de se réveiller pour la prière du Fajar.

Et de tout donner.

Et une fois qu'on a fait ce travail sur nous-mêmes,

parmi les grands moyens afin de se préparer de la mort,

c'est de réfléchir à l'interrogatoire.

Allah va nous juger.

Et l'interrogatoire, il commence où ?

Il commence dans ta tombe.

On te posera comme question, quel est ton Seigneur ?

La question, ça veut dire quoi ?

Quel est le Seigneur que tu as adoré ?
Which Lord did you worship?

What is the Lord that you have unified?
C'est ça l'objet, c'est ça la question.

ou à des personnes qui n'arrivent pas à prononcer la ilaha illallah avant de mourir.

Moi j'ai notamment le cas d'une personne qui...

Je me reviens, un jeune, qui au moment de mourir,
I come back to a young man, who at the moment of dying,
que l'infirmier lui dit de dire la ilaha illallah.
that the nurse tells him to say la ilaha illallah.
Je vous parle de ça, l'infirmier, il est au téléphone avec moi, il pleure.

Il pleure, je suis au téléphone.

Et il me dit, je suis en train de lui dire la ilaha illallah, il n'arrive pas.

Et vous savez ce qu'il faisait ?

Il chantait la chanson qu'il aimait le plus dans cette vie.

Pourquoi ? Parce qu'à ce moment-là, c'est ce qu'il y a dans ton cœur.

Ton cœur, c'est comme un récipient.
Your heart is like a vessel.
Ce que tu mets dedans, c'est ce qu'il y a.
What you put in is what you get out.
Et c'est ce qui va ressortir avant ta mort.

Mais du bien, c'est le bien qui va sortir.

Et peut-être que parmi nous, certains ont déjà vécu le fait d'avoir frôlé la mort.

Parce qu'au moment où tu frôles la mort et que pendant un quart de seconde,

tu prends conscience que...

Tu as l'impression que tu es en train de mourir

et que tu arrives à shahad.

Et bien, tu te dis, subhanallah.

C'est un bon signe qui fait que je dois continuer à avancer.
It's a good sign that means I need to keep moving forward.
Naam, qu'est-ce qu'il dit le prophète, alayhi salatu wa salam ?
Name, what does the prophet say, peace be upon him?
Et c'est en lien avec les questions qui sont dans la tombe.

« Man kana akhiru kalamihi la ilaha illallah »
"Whoever's last words are 'There is no deity but Allah'"
« Dakhala al-jannah »
"He entered paradise."
« Celui dont la dernière parole, c'est la ilaha illallah, entrera au paradis. »
"Whoever's last words are 'there is no god but Allah' will enter paradise."
Et pour pouvoir dire « la ilaha illallah » avant de mourir,

il faut vivre avec la ilaha illallah.

Pour « la ilaha illallah »,

Il n'y a aucune divinité qui mérite d'être adorée en vérité en dehors d'Allah.

tu as deux piliers, une négation et une affirmation.
you have two pillars, a negation and an affirmation.

Ça, ça s'appelle le « tawheed », l'unicité d'Allah.

Donc le meilleur moyen de préparer ta mort, c'est d'adorer Allah seul,
So the best way to prepare for your death is to worship Allah alone,
sans rien lui associer.

La sunna de notre noble prophète.
The sunnah of our noble prophet.
On se doit d'avoir une part dans le suivi,
We must have a role in the follow-up.
d'avoir une grande part de notre journée dans le fait d'apprendre le Coran

et d'apprendre la sunna.
and to learn the Sunnah.
Parce que le Coran et la sunna vont ensemble.

Ce sont deux révélations.

Allah Azza wa Jalil dit en parlant du prophète,
Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, says in speaking of the Prophet,
« Il ne parle pas sous l'effet de sa passion,
"He does not speak under the influence of his passion,"
mais ce n'est qu'une révélation inspirée. »
"but it is only an inspired revelation."
Le Coran est une révélation, la sunna est une révélation.
The Quran is a revelation, the Sunnah is a revelation.
Donc je dois avoir une part dans l'étude de ces deux-ci.

Et cela m'aidera à préparer ma mort.

que nous terminerons et nous conclurons

sur le fait que le prophète a.s.l. dit
about the fact that the prophet (peace be upon him) said
« Multiplier le rappel de la destructrice des plaisirs. »
"Multiply the reminder of the destroyer of pleasures."
Cela veut dire qu'on se doit de se rappeler de la mort.
This means that we must remember death.
Mais le fait de se rappeler de la mort,
But the act of remembering death,
cela ne veut pas dire de tomber dans une dépression,
that doesn't mean to fall into depression,
de tomber dans une tristesse.
to fall into sadness.
Non.
No.
Tu te rappelles de la mort pour t'y préparer.
You remember death to prepare for it.
Tu te prépares par les bonnes actions
You prepare yourself through good actions.
et par le fait de t'écarter des péchés.
and by the act of staying away from sins.
Cela, c'est le résumé.
This is the summary.
Et un des meilleurs moyens
And one of the best ways.
afin de se rappeler de la mort,
in order to remember death,
c'est de laver les morts.
It is to wash the dead.
Tu imagines ?
Can you imagine?
Le musulman, lorsqu'il meurt, il doit être lavé.
The Muslim, when he dies, must be washed.
Et il y a tout un rite à faire.
And there is a whole rite to perform.
Mais toi, quand tu vas et tu vas laver les morts,
But you, when you go and wash the dead,
eh bien, subhanallah,
well, glory be to God,
tu vas voir ces personnes
You are going to see these people.
avec qui tu discutais il y a quelques jours
Who were you talking to a few days ago?
qu'aujourd'hui, ils sont là, allongés,
that today, they are there, lying down,
ils ne peuvent plus bouger,
they can no longer move,
ils ne peuvent plus parler,
they can no longer speak,
ils ne peuvent plus prier.
They can no longer pray.
Toi, tu peux encore prier.
You can still pray.
Tu ne sais pas pour combien de temps.
You don't know for how long.
Peut-être que la prière du dhuhr que l'on a faite,
Perhaps the Dhuhr prayer that we performed,
c'est notre dernière prière.
this is our last prayer.
Et si tu es encore vivant jusqu'à la prière du hasard,
And if you are still alive until the prayer of chance,
alors imagine que c'est peut-être ta dernière prière.
So imagine that this might be your last prayer.
Et tu fais cela avec chaque prière
And you do that with each prayer.
puisque le Prophète ,
since the Prophet,
il dit,
he says,
prie la prière de celui qui fait ses adieux.
pray the prayer of one who is saying goodbye.
Le lavage mortuaire, c'est une très grande adoration.
The mortuary washing is a very great act of worship.
Le lavage mortuaire a beaucoup de mérite.

on se doit de savoir comment on le fait et surtout,

de participer à cela parce qu'il n'y a rien

qui va adoucir ton cœur plus que le fait de t'occuper des morts.
Who will soften your heart more than taking care of the dead?

O Allah, free our necks and the necks of our fathers, mothers, spouses, brothers, and descendants from the Fire. O Allah, our Lord, grant us goodness in this world and goodness in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

شفاء لا يغادر سقما
A cure that leaves no illness behind.

O Allah, forgive our deceased and the deceased of the Muslims.
اللهم اغفر لهم وارحمهم وعافهم
O Allah, forgive them, have mercy on them, and grant them health.
واعف عنهم وأكرم نزلهم
