Donc, il y a 41 sites de compétition et donc autant de zones mixtes.

Et donc, la zone mixte, c'est l'endroit où les athlètes vont arriver après la compétition et c'est là où ils vont répondre aux questions des journalistes.

Donc, ça demande évidemment beaucoup d'interactions avec tous les détenteurs de droits pour qu'ils aient tous leur espace, leur endroit,

Et moi, les JO olympiques, ça coule dans mes veines depuis bien longtemps.

J'avais envie d'être au cœur de l'événement, donc je connaissais OBS, je regardais régulièrement un peu s'ils avaient des postes,

I wanted to be at the heart of the event, so I knew OBS, I regularly checked to see if they had any openings.

Et finalement, ça a fini par marcher il y a quelques mois et donc je me suis retrouvée là et très heureuse d'être dans le cœur du réacteur des JO olympiques.

Toi, tu es une passionnée de sport, c'est vrai que dès que je t'ai connue, on a tout de suite parlé de ça et tout.

Comment s'est arrivé dans ta vie le sport en général ?

Et peut-être après les JO, est-ce que tu te rappelles de tes premiers liens avec tout ça ?

Alors oui, le sport, ça a toujours fait partie de ma vie.

So yes, sport has always been a part of my life.

Alors, je suis une sportive plus qu'amateur, mais clairement, je pense que, alors ils ne vont peut-être pas apprécier,

mais j'ai des parents sportifs de canapé, je voudrais dire, parce que la télé pendant les JO, pendant le Tour de France, pendant Roland Garros,

à la maison, ça a toujours tourné, donc j'ai toujours été bercée par ça, voilà, le rythme du Tour de France en fond ou les JO olympiques.

Et si je devais dire les premiers souvenirs des JO olympiques dont je me souviens, je pense que ce serait 2004.

Et après, ça a continué, 2008-2012, 2012 à Londres, puis après à Rio, là, c'était ma vraie première expérience olympique, autre que devant la télé, quoi.

On voit que tu es journaliste parce que tu as vraiment bien les transitions, effectivement.

Ce qui était intéressant aussi chez toi, c'est que voilà, tu es allée à Rio en tant que volontaire.

Comment t'en es arrivée à être volontaire à Rio ?

Moi, j'ai vécu une expérience que j'adore.

Je donnerai beaucoup pour retourner à ce moment-là.

Ce qui s'est passé, en fait, en 2012, je m'étais renseignée pour être bénévole pour les JO à Londres.

What happened, in fact, in 2012, I had inquired about volunteering for the Olympics in London.

Sauf que, ben, problème de timing, déjà, je m'y prenais beaucoup trop tard.

Except that, well, timing issue, I was already getting to it way too late.

Et surtout, j'avais 18 ans en septembre, les JO étaient en août, donc ce n'était pas possible.

And above all, I turned 18 in September, the Olympics were in August, so it wasn't possible.

Et du coup, à ce moment-là, j'avais un peu liké des pages Facebook, des trucs qui sont remontés au moment des candidatures des JO de Rio.

And so, at that moment, I had liked a few Facebook pages, things that came up during the applications for the Rio Olympics.

Et à ce moment-là, je me suis dit, si on essaye.

And at that moment, I said to myself, let's give it a try.

Enfin, à ce moment-là, c'est remplir un formulaire en ligne.

Finally, at that moment, it's filling out an online form.

Ils nous demandaient déjà les tailles de t-shirts alors qu'on était bien au moins deux ans, voire trois ans avant les JO de Rio.

They were already asking us for t-shirt sizes when we were still at least two years, if not three years, before the Rio Olympics.

Et donc, j'ai rempli.

And so, I filled it out.

On avait des nouvelles de temps en temps, des newsletters qui tombaient.

We received news from time to time, newsletters that arrived.

Et puis, jusqu'au jour où est tombée l'annonce, ça devait être avant Noël, avant Noël 2015.

And then, up until the day the announcement was made, it must have been before Christmas, before Christmas 2015.

J'apprends que je suis retenue pour être bénévole au JO.

I learn that I am selected to be a volunteer at the Olympics.

Donc, à ce moment-là, je commençais un peu à en parler quand même à mes parents, notamment, qui me disaient attention.

So, at that moment, I was starting to talk a bit about it to my parents, in particular, who were warning me to be careful.

Eux, ils sont allés à Londres en tant que spectateurs.

They went to London as spectators.

Et ils m'ont dit attention, des bénévoles, il y en a partout.

And they told me to beware, there are volunteers everywhere.

Tu ne vas peut-être pas traverser la planète si jamais tu es à l'aéroport ou dans le métro.

You might not cross the planet if you are ever at the airport or in the subway.

Donc, OK, je ne prends toujours pas mes billets.

So, okay, I'm still not getting my tickets.

Une fois que j'apprends que je suis affectée au cyclisme sur piste, au vélodrome, sur le parc olympique, je fais bon, c'est parti, on y va.

Once I learn that I am assigned to track cycling, at the velodrome, in the Olympic park, I think, alright, let's go for it.

Et donc, j'ai travaillé en job d'été pendant trois mois pour me payer un mois au Brésil avec les JO.

So, I worked a summer job for three months to pay for a month in Brazil during the Olympics.

Donc, c'est comme ça que ça a commencé.

So, that's how it started.

J'ai pris l'avion.

I took the plane.

Je pense que j'étais un peu naïve.

I think I was a little naive.

Et juste, j'ai eu hyper peur en prenant l'avion, en me disant mais là-bas, il y a quelqu'un qui doit venir me chercher.

And right, I was really scared taking the plane, telling myself that over there, there is someone who must come to pick me up.

Les gens chez qui je dormais devaient venir me chercher.

The people I was staying with were supposed to come pick me up.

Je ne parlais pas du tout.

I wasn't speaking at all.

Je ne parle toujours pas portugais.

I still don't speak Portuguese.

Donc, j'étais là.

So, I was there.

J'arrive à l'autre bout du monde.

I am arriving at the other end of the world.

Je ne sais pas comment ça va se passer.

I don't know how it will go.

Et au final, ça s'est hyper bien passé.

And in the end, it went really well.

J'ai rencontré des gens incroyables.

I met some incredible people.

J'ai vécu une expérience olympique dingue.

I had an amazing Olympic experience.

Et voilà, j'en garde un souvenir encore aujourd'hui.

And there you go, I still have a vivid memory of it today.

Je dis que je veux retourner au Brésil pour voir le Brésil.

I say that I want to return to Brazil to see Brazil.

Évidemment, j'ai vu Rio, mais c'était différent.

Of course, I saw Rio, but it was different.

Et moi, j'ai adoré cette ville.

And I loved this city.

J'ai adoré cette Olympiade.

I loved these Olympics.

J'ai vécu une Olympiade de folie.

I experienced a crazy Olympic Games.

J'ai pu voir beaucoup de compétitions, voir beaucoup d'athlètes, toucher les médailles françaises.

I was able to see many competitions, see many athletes, touch the French medals.

Le Club France était très ouvert.

The Club France was very open.

Le fait que ce soit loin de la France aussi, ça rend les athlètes français hyper accessibles.

The fact that it's far from France as well makes French athletes very accessible.

Ils sont hyper contents de voir des Français.

They are really happy to see French people.

Donc, c'est sûr que ça va être très différent de l'Olympiade parisienne, forcément.

So, it's certain that it will be very different from the Paris Olympics, inevitably.

Mais voilà, j'ai vécu une Olympiade loin de la France.

But here it is, I lived through an Olympiad far from France.

Je m'apprête à en vivre une autre.

I am about to experience another one.

En France, on verra.

Ça va sûrement être très différent.

Je pense aussi que j'ai grandi.

Juste avant, juste après, c'était hyper cher.

Just before, just after, it was super expensive.

Donc, j'avais pris une semaine avant, une semaine après.

So, I had taken a week before, a week after.

Ce qui me faisait économiser un peu de sous sur le billet d'avion

Which helped me save a little money on the plane ticket.

qui me permettait de rester un peu plus longtemps sur place.

which allowed me to stay a little longer on site.

Donc, la première semaine, j'ai fait du tourisme.

So, during the first week, I went sightseeing.

Je suis allée voir le Chris du Corcovade.

Je suis allée à Copacabana.

I went to Copacabana.

Je me suis approprié un peu les lieux.

I have made myself a bit at home in the place.

Et ensuite, est venu le moment d'aller chercher l'accréditation.

Ça déjà, c'était incroyable.

En fait, nos tenues de bénévoles, on les a récupérées dans un énorme hangar

which is normally used to store the floats of the Rio Carnival.

Donc, c'était déjà un lieu qui était incroyable.

So, it was already a place that was incredible.

Donc là, on récupère.

So here, we're recovering.

Et là, on récupère l'accréditation.

And there, we get the accreditation.

C'est quand même un moment un peu marquant.

It's still a somewhat memorable moment.

Et puis, on se rend la première fois sur notre site.

Donc moi, en l'occurrence, c'était sur le parc olympique au Vélodrome.

Donc, je n'avais pas eu l'occasion avant d'aller dans un Vélodrome.

So, I hadn't had the chance to go to a Velodrome before.

Je ne sais pas trop comment j'ai été affectée là-bas.

I don't really know how I was affected there.

Mais j'étais très heureuse d'y être.

But I was very happy to be there.

Et ensuite, on rencontre nos chefs.

And then, we meet our bosses.

Ils nous expliquent nos missions.

They explain our missions to us.

On fait le tour du site de compétition.

We are touring the competition site.

Les lieux où on a le droit d'aller, ceux où on n'a pas le droit d'aller.

The places we are allowed to go, those we are not allowed to go.

Et ça, c'est en amont de la compétition pour qu'on puisse être prêt le jour J.

And that is in preparation for the competition so that we can be ready on the big day.

Après, ma mission de bénévole n'était pas passionnante.

On était chargé avec l'équipe dans laquelle j'étais

Donc, en fait, à la fin de chaque course,
