Et alors, la petite anecdote, donc en faisant mes recherches,

je me suis rendue compte que la première fois qu'on avait échangé,
I realized that the first time we exchanged,
c'était sur Instagram parce que toi, tu étais bloquée au Maroc
It was on Instagram because you were stuck in Morocco.
au début du confinement, du lockdown.
at the beginning of the lockdown.
En mars 2020, tu avais pu être rapatriée et moi, j'étais bloquée au Sénégal.
In March 2020, you were able to be repatriated and I was stuck in Senegal.
Et donc, je t'avais contactée en voyant que toi, tu avais pu être rapatriée.
And so, I had contacted you upon seeing that you had been able to be repatriated.
Je t'avais contactée en te demandant comment tu as fait,
I had contacted you asking how you did it,
comment ça s'est passé pour toi.
How did it go for you?
Et c'était notre premier échange.
And it was our first exchange.
Eh bien, oui, effectivement, je me souviens maintenant.
Well, yes, indeed, I remember now.
Et c'est vrai que d'un point de vue, d'un point de vue psycho,
And it's true that from one perspective, from a psychological perspective,
c'était quand même très intéressant comme expérience de se retrouver coincée.
It was still a very interesting experience to find myself stuck.
En plus, moi, j'étais en huis clos avec tout un groupe d'entrepreneurs

J'y repense encore souvent, c'était du gros n'importe quoi.
I often think about it again, it was a load of nonsense.
On ne savait pas du tout ce qui allait se passer.
We had no idea what was going to happen.
On a ressorti.
We went out again.
L'instinct de survie était bien ressorti à ce moment-là.
The survival instinct had certainly come out at that moment.

Tu t'es lancée il y a huit ans après avoir travaillé un petit peu comme salariée.
You took the plunge eight years ago after working a little as an employee.
Qu'est-ce qui a motivé ce choix-là de te lancer comme indépendante
What motivated you to take the plunge and become self-employed?
et est-ce que c'était un choix facile de franchir ce pas-là ?
And was it an easy choice to take that step?
Alors, dans mes souvenirs, parce que ça date déjà d'il y a huit ans,
So, in my memories, because it's already been eight years,
en réalité, oui, parce que je me suis très vite rendue compte
In reality, yes, because I quickly realized.
qu'être salariée, ce n'était pas du tout fait pour moi.
Being an employee was not at all made for me.
Mais vraiment, vraiment...
But really, really...
Vraiment, déjà, même avant, quand j'étais en train de faire mes études,
Really, even before, when I was studying,
il y avait un truc dans le concept d'aller du lundi au vendredi
There was something about the concept of going from Monday to Friday.
travailler pour quelqu'un d'autre de 9h à 17h
working for someone else from 9 AM to 5 PM
qui, pour moi, n'était pas vraiment logique.
which, for me, didn't really make sense.
Après, moi, je viens d'une famille, pour te dire,
Afterwards, I come from a family, to tell you,
trois de mes grands-parents sur quatre étaient à leur compte.
Three of my four grandparents were self-employed.
Donc, en fait, moi, je n'ai jamais eu dans ma famille,
So, in fact, I have never had in my family,
quasi tout le monde, soit indépendant, soit entrepreneur.
almost everyone, either independent or an entrepreneur.
Et donc, en fait, pour moi, le salariat,
And so, for me, being an employee,
ce n'est pas spécialement le truc le plus logique au final.
It's not really the most logical thing in the end.
Certes, qui était un petit peu imposé.
Certainly, it was a little bit imposed.
Mes parents m'avaient quand même dit...
My parents had still told me...
Enfin, on ne m'a jamais dit...
Finally, I was never told...
Ils m'avaient dit, il faut que tu te lances, machin et tout.
They had told me, you have to go for it, you know, and all that.
C'est plutôt trouver un bon diplôme, trouver un bon job, sécurité quand même.
It's more about finding a good degree, finding a good job, some security after all.
Très vite, je me suis rendue compte que ce n'était pas pour moi.
Very quickly, I realized that it wasn't for me.
Il y avait plein de choses qui m'énervaient, vraiment.
There were plenty of things that annoyed me, really.
Et pour la petite histoire,
And for the little story,
donc à l'époque, je travaillais pour l'e-shop Vente Exclusive,
so at that time, I was working for the e-shop Vente Exclusive,
qui maintenant s'appelle Vupi.
who is now called Vupi.
Et ils étaient super cool parce qu'ils étaient vraiment hyper OK
And they were really cool because they were just super fine.
avec le fait qu'on soit en 4-5e pour développer des projets à côté.
with the fact that we are in 4th-5th grade to develop projects on the side.
Parce que c'est vrai qu'on avait tous des boulots assez répétitifs.
Because it's true that we all had rather repetitive jobs.
Donc, ils avaient compris que s'ils voulaient garder les profils,
So, they understood that if they wanted to keep the profiles,
un peu plus...
a little more...
Ou créatifs ou qui en voulaient,
Either creative or those who wanted it,
il valait mieux un peu nous laisser notre liberté le vendredi ou le lundi.
It would have been better to let us have our freedom a little on Fridays or Mondays.
Et comme ça, on restait quatre jours chez eux.
And like that, we stayed at their place for four days.
Donc, j'étais déjà passée en 4-5e.
So, I had already been through 4-5th grade.
Mais je suis restée, je crois, trois semaines en 4-5e
But I stayed, I think, three weeks in 4th-5th grade.
parce que je me suis vite rendue compte que mon lundi off,
because I quickly realized that my day off on Monday,
il ne me servait à rien.
He was of no use to me.
Et j'ai pris la décision en me disant, bon, je vais me lancer.
And I made the decision by saying to myself, well, I'm going to go for it.
Et en fait, c'était il y a huit ans.
And actually, it was eight years ago.
Il n'y avait même pas tous ces contenus qui t'expliquent
There weren't even all those contents that explain it to you.
comment te lancer à ton compte, comment trouver tes clients.
how to start your own business, how to find your clients.
En fait, je ne savais même pas dans quoi j'allais mettre les pieds.
In fact, I didn't even know what I was getting into.
Je ne savais même pas ce que ça voulait être être freelance à la limite.
I didn't even know what it meant to be freelance, for that matter.
Mais je me suis dit, bon, let's go, on y va.
But I said to myself, well, let's go, let's do this.
En fait, surtout, je pense qu'il y a des...
Actually, above all, I think there are some...
C'est que je savais que j'allais pouvoir retrouver du travail
It's just that I knew I would be able to find work again.
si j'en avais besoin.
if I needed it.
Je savais à ce que j'avais démissionné début octobre,
I knew since I had resigned in early October,
que du coup, j'aurais un petit paquet de jeux de départ,
so I would have a small bundle of starting games,
qu'on allait me payer les congés pour lesquels j'avais cotisé.
that I would be paid for the vacation days for which I had contributed.
J'allais avoir une partie de mon 13e mois.
I was about to receive part of my thirteenth month.
Puis, j'avais un petit peu d'argent de côté aussi.
Then, I had a little bit of money saved up too.
Pas énormément, mais je savais que j'avais de quoi voir
Not a lot, but I knew I had enough to see.
trois, quatre mois sans gagner un seul euro.
Three, four months without earning a single euro.
Enfin, je pouvais encore remplir mon frigo.
Finally, I could still fill my fridge.
Mais je m'étais dit, au pire, en fait, il y a plein de boulots.
But I told myself, at worst, there are plenty of jobs.
Souvent, on a peur au niveau financier, mais il y a plein d'endroits.
Often, we are afraid financially, but there are plenty of places.
Au pire, j'allais faire la plonge dans un bar, mais ce n'est pas grave.
At worst, I was going to do the dishes in a bar, but it's not a big deal.
Je savais que j'allais pouvoir trouver quelque chose
I knew I was going to be able to find something.
et encore plus trouver quelque chose dans mon domaine
and even more find something in my field
parce qu'on recherchait quand même pas mal de choses à l'époque
because we were looking for quite a lot of things at that time
dans tout ce qui était réseaux sociaux qui se lançaient et tout,
in everything that was social networks that were starting and all,
communication, e-commerce et tout.
communication, e-commerce, and everything.
Et donc, je me suis dit, bon, on verra.
And so, I told myself, well, we'll see.
C'était un secteur où...
It was a sector where...
Enfin, le secteur dans lequel tu travaillais, le web, les réseaux sociaux et tout,
Finally, the sector in which you were working, the web, social networks, and all that,
où à l'époque, je n'ai aucune idée aujourd'hui,
where at the time, I have no idea today,
mais où à l'époque, il y avait beaucoup de possibilités
but at the time, there were many possibilities
et ça t'a rassurée, du coup, de pouvoir te lancer,
and it reassured you, therefore, to be able to get started,
de pouvoir, si ça ne marchait pas, assez rapidement retrouver un boulot.
to be able, if it didn't work out, to quickly find a job again.
Oui, mais de manière générale, comme j'avais un diplôme en communication,
Yes, but generally speaking, since I had a degree in communication,
ça reste assez vaste et je connaissais l'état du marché
It's still quite broad and I was aware of the state of the market.
parce qu'en fait, j'avais changé de boulot quelques mois auparavant

et j'avais trouvé tellement facilement, en fait, entre mon premier et mon deuxième job,
and I had found it so easily, in fact, between my first and my second job,
c'est que mon premier travail, j'avais démissionné de mon CDI

sans savoir encore où j'allais aller.
without knowing yet where I was going to go.
Mais j'étais tellement convaincue que j'allais trouver
But I was so convinced that I would find
le boulot que j'avais trouvé.

Je ne savais pas autre chose parce que je regardais les offres d'emploi
I didn't know anything else because I was looking at job offers.
et j'étais là, mais ça va, il y a du taf.
And I was there, but it's okay, there's work to do.
Et c'était plus ou moins la même chose.
And it was more or less the same thing.
Je m'étais dit, bon, si janvier, février, ça ne va pas,
I told myself, well, if January, February, it doesn't work,
je rechercherai du travail.
I will be looking for a job.
Je savais que je pouvais trouver sans souci assez, assez rapidement.
I knew that I could find enough, quickly enough, without any problem.
Si je comprends bien, tu n'as pas vraiment eu de frein ou de blocage
If I understand correctly, you didn't really have any brakes or obstacles.
que tu as dû surmonter pour te lancer ?
What did you have to overcome to get started?
Honnêtement, non.
Honestly, no.
Mais moi, j'ai plutôt tendance à foncer et on réfléchit après.
But I tend to rush in and think afterward.
Oui, mais c'est comme quand j'ai démissionné de mon premier job.
Yes, but it's like when I resigned from my first job.
Tout le monde m'a pris pour une folle.
Everyone thought I was crazy.
Alors qu'à l'époque,
At the time,
j'avais trois mois à prester.
I had three months to serve.
Et je crois que le premier mois, en plus, je n'avais rien fait.
And I believe that in the first month, in addition, I hadn't done anything.
Je n'avais même pas encore commencé à chercher un nouveau job.
I hadn't even started looking for a new job yet.
Je savais tellement que j'allais retrouver quelque chose
I knew so well that I was going to find something.
que je me dis à chaque fois, c'est bon, on verra.
What I tell myself each time is, it's fine, we will see.
C'est quelque chose que j'entends régulièrement chez les entrepreneurs,
It's something I hear regularly from entrepreneurs,
ce côté passer à l'action.
this side to take action.
Enfin, les entrepreneurs pour qui ça marche, entre guillemets,
Finally, the entrepreneurs for whom it works, in quotes,
qui arrivent à développer leur activité,
who succeed in developing their business,
ce trait de personnalité-là ou cette manière de fonctionner,
that personality trait or this way of functioning,
passer à l'action, foncer, y aller, réfléchir après.
take action, go for it, go ahead, think afterward.
Il y a toujours une part où on réfléchit,
There is always a part where we reflect,
parce que j'entends, tu as quand même fait tes calculs
because I hear you’ve still done your calculations
de savoir combien j'avais de côté,
to know how much I had saved,
combien je vais toucher à la fin de mon contrat,
how much will I receive at the end of my contract,
combien de temps je peux gérer sans revenu,
how long can I manage without income,
le plan B.
the plan B.
Donc, il y avait quand même un peu de réflexion.
So, there was still some thought put into it.
Mais oui, c'est vraiment ce truc foncé.
But yes, it's really that dark thing.
Je reconnais ça.
I recognize that.
J'ai pas mal d'entrepreneurs pour qui ça marche.
I have quite a few entrepreneurs for whom it works.
Parfois, je trouve que c'est un côté un peu
Sometimes, I find that it's a bit of a side.
enfant gâté pourri qui fait à sa manière.
spoiled rotten child who does things his own way.
Non, je ne veux pas, je fais ça.
No, I don't want to, I'm doing this.
Parfois aussi.
Sometimes too.
Parfois, je fais ça.
Sometimes, I do that.
Je pense qu'il faut avoir ce côté un peu impertinent
I think we need to have that slightly cheeky side.
dans l'entrepreneuriat, en mode, je fais les choses
in entrepreneurship, in a way, I get things done
à ma manière et si ça ne vous plaît pas, tant pis.
In my own way, and if you don't like it, too bad.
Oui, c'est ça.

Tu sais, moi, je suis psychologue,
You know, I am a psychologist,
donc je parle beaucoup de bien-être
So I talk a lot about well-being.
et de santé mentale.

Il me semble que tu as communiqué sur les réseaux sociaux

alors que c'est super important de pouvoir normaliser

Oui, totalement, aucun souci.

ce qu'il y a eu en 2022,

et en fait, à la base,

le point de départ,

ce n'est même pas le boulot.

C'est ça qui est intéressant,

parce que souvent,

quand on a des phases un peu plus donnes

au niveau mental,
on a mental level,
tous les gens sont là,

tu fais un burn-out, machin et tout.

Non, moi, j'ai fait un burn-out
No, I had a burnout.
quand j'étais salariée,

je n'ai jamais fait de burn-out
I have never experienced burnout.
en étant à mon compte.
while being self-employed.
Parfois, des phases de surmenage,
Sometimes, phases of burnout,
mais maintenant, c'est bon,
but now, it's fine,
j'ai appris à créer les choses
I learned to create things.
comme elles me convenaient.

Donc, ça m'étonnerait là maintenant,
So, I would be surprised right now,
même dans les prochains.

Je pense être à l'abri du burn-out.
I think I am safe from burnout.
Par contre, on n'est parfois

pas à l'abri de certaines choses.

Et moi, qu'est-ce qui m'est arrivé ?
And what happened to me?
J'ai tout simplement eu
I simply had.
un dérèglement hormonal
a hormonal disorder
qui m'a complètement tout foutu en l'air
who completely messed everything up for me
au niveau mental.
on a mental level.
Et puis, il y a eu plein de choses à côté.
And then, there were plenty of other things going on.
On est en 2022,
It is 2022,
on a quand même, tu sais,
we still have, you know,
le contexte oxygène,
the oxygen context,
la guerre qui commence en Ukraine,
the war that is beginning in Ukraine,
les prix qui font qu'augmenter,
the prices that keep rising,
l'inflation.
inflation.
On le sent quand même
You can still feel it.
que c'est plus compliqué.
that it's more complicated.
Et donc, tout ça mis à bout,
And so, all of that put together,
plus un côté, je crois,
one more side, I believe,
au niveau psychologique.
at the psychological level.
J'étais déjà, psychologiquement,
I was already, psychologically,
j'étais déjà plus,
I was already more,
parce que le fait que hormonalement,
because the fact that hormonally,
ça n'allait plus du tout
It wasn't going well at all.
de moins en moins, de moins en moins.
less and less, less and less.
J'ai eu énormément de problèmes d'anxiété.
I have had a lot of anxiety problems.
Et tout ça m'a mené,
And all of that led me,
je peux dire très exactement
I can say very accurately.
parce que c'est le jour de mon anniversaire,
because it's my birthday,
donc 8 novembre 2022,
so November 8, 2022,
au lieu de faire la fête,
instead of partying,
en fait, j'étais chez mon médecin
Actually, I was at my doctor’s.
en train de pleurer
crying
et de dire tout est foutu
and to say everything is screwed up
parce qu'en fait,
because in fact,
je n'arrivais plus à rien faire.
I could no longer do anything.
J'étais vraiment en mode confusion
I was really in a confused state.
dans le boulot.
in the job.
Et ce n'est pas que je ne voulais pas bosser,
And it's not that I didn't want to work,
que j'étais en burn-out
that I was in burnout
ou quoi que ce soit,
or anything else,
mais c'est juste qu'en fait
but it's just that actually
que quand ton cerveau te dit
that when your brain tells you
« Merde, maintenant,
"Shit, now,"
ça ne fonctionne plus »,
"It's not working anymore."
tu ne sais plus rien faire.
You can't do anything anymore.
Et le problème,
And the problem,
c'est que quand tu es à ton compte,
it's that when you are self-employed,
même si le problème,
even if the problem,
à la base,
initially,
ce n'est pas le business,
it's not the business,
mais en fait,
but in fact,
tu n'es plus capable de bosser.
You are no longer able to work.
Et moi, je venais de faire
And I had just done.
en plus un énorme investissement
in addition a huge investment
parce que j'avais créé
because I had created
une application
an application
que d'ailleurs,
that, by the way,
là, j'ai mis complètement en stand-by,

mais j'avais ce stress financier.
but I had this financial stress.
Enfin, il y a eu plein de petites choses,

mais à la base,
but at the base,
c'est vraiment un truc

à la base purement médical,
on a purely medical basis,
enfin, un dérèglement anormal
finally, an abnormal disruption
parce que j'ai eu un kyste.
because I had a cyst.
Enfin, c'est un truc complètement
Finally, it's something completely
qui pourrait arriver
who could happen
à n'importe qui,
to anyone,
même une salariée
even an employee
pourrait avoir ça.
could have that.
Et donc, effectivement,
And so, indeed,
ça a été super dur
It was really hard.
et je t'avoue que là,
and I must admit that right now,
ça a été…
it was…
Je souffle enfin, là.
I'm finally breathing, there.
En fait, j'ai eu 18 mois
In fact, I had 18 months.
compliqués niveau boulot
complicated at work
parce que même si ça allait mieux,
because even if it were getting better,
je me souviens déjà
I already remember.
début janvier 2023

au niveau vraiment plutôt mental,

les problèmes d'anxiété
anxiety issues
qui sont partis, etc.

Tout ce qui était

un petit peu plus syndrome,
a little bit more syndrome,
même dépressif,
even depressed,
