En fait, je suis à dire que je suis hyper contente parce que je savais déjà que quand je suis sortie de cet épisode-là, que j'allais en parler dans un podcast.

Mon expérience du burn-out a été assez compliquée et en fait, le plus dur, c'est que je n'avais pas...

Personne ne m'avait dit que c'était le burn-out que j'étais en train de vivre.

No one had told me that I was experiencing burnout.

Du coup, j'étais juste une personne qui disait que j'étais assez triste, j'avais du mal à aller au travail, que ce n'était pas bien, que j'ai envie de démissionner.

So, I was just a person who said I was quite sad, I was having a hard time going to work, that it wasn't good, that I wanted to quit.

Mais pour moi, c'était juste une personne qui ne sentait pas bien, mais je n'avais pas pris la mesure que ça avait pris.

But for me, it was just a person who wasn't feeling well, but I hadn't realized the extent it had taken.

Donc du coup, c'est seulement après, et ça arrive très souvent, c'est après l'expérience que quand tu fais une analyse, tu te dis, mais en fait, qu'est-ce qui vient de se passer en fait ?

Et après, j'ai compris que j'ai fait un burn-out et là, je me dis, mais en fait, je ne sais même pas comment j'ai fait pour tenir jusqu'ici en fait.

And then, I understood that I had a burn-out and now, I'm thinking, but actually, I don't even know how I managed to get by until now.

C'est du coup, c'était au travail du coup ?

So it was at work then?

Ouais, en fait, j'ai eu, vous pouvez expliquer un peu, c'est que j'étais chargée d'alternance pour ma troisième année.

Yeah, actually, I had, can you explain a bit, it's that I was in a work-study program for my third year.

Donc du coup, c'est grâce aussi à ça que j'ai eu mon bachelor.

So, that's also how I got my bachelor's degree.

Et ce qui s'est passé, c'est que j'ai été parmi les dernières à trouver une alternance parce que c'est assez compliqué.

And what happened is that I was among the last to find an apprenticeship because it's quite complicated.

Donc du coup, à ma prise, donc moi, je me dis, bon, ma prise, tant mieux, je vais pouvoir valider mon année.

So, as a result, at my exam, I tell myself, well, my exam, it's a good thing, I will be able to validate my year.

Et ce qui s'est passé, c'est qu'il y avait déjà quelques signes, mais que je n'avais pas parce que, encore une fois, j'avais 20 ans, 21 ans.

And what happened is that there were already some signs, but I didn't have them because, once again, I was 20 years old, 21 years old.

Du coup, tu n'as aucune expérience de la vie. La seule chose qu'on m'a dit, c'est que j'ai 18 ans, une majeure.

So, you have no life experience. The only thing I've been told is that I'm 18 years old, an adult.

Tu n'avais pas d'expérience de travail.

You had no work experience.

Je n'avais pas d'expérience.

I had no experience.

Tout ce qu'on m'a dit, c'est que j'étais majeure, welcome dans la vie d'adulte et c'est tout.

Donc du coup, tous les coups de la vie, je l'ai prise d'un coup.

Et du coup, il y avait des petites remarques, la manière de te regarder, la manière de répondre.

And so, there were little comments, the way of looking at you, the way of responding.

C'était en entreprise, du coup.

Du coup, bref, c'était tellement compliqué.

Moi aussi, un peu comme Elsie, je venais de sortir pendant un an et demi, je n'ai fait que travailler.

J'ai travaillé au début dans la restauration et après, je suis parti travailler dans une maison de retraite privée.

En fait, je faisais tellement de longues heures et je n'ai pas eu de temps de pause entre la restauration et la maison de retraite.

C'était quoi tes horaires à peu près ?

Mes horaires dans la restauration, je travaillais, je faisais de 10 heures à 14 heures.

My hours in the restaurant industry, I worked from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Je faisais une pause de 2 heures.

I was taking a 2-hour break.

Après, je revenais vers 18 heures pour continuer jusqu'à 21 heures.

Later, I would come back around 6 PM to continue until 9 PM.

Et à la maison de retraite, c'était par contre, c'était vraiment trop lourd.

And in the nursing home, on the other hand, it was really too heavy.

Je faisais du 8 heures, 20 heures.

I was working from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

8 heures, 20 heures.

8 o'clock, 8 PM.

C'est énorme.

C'est costaud, surtout quand tu es jeune.

Ou moi-même, je me suis rendu compte que j'étais en train de vivre un burn-out.

En fait, c'est lorsque j'ai commencé à écrire un livre qui est sorti d'ailleurs.

En fait, c'est là que je me suis rendu compte que je suis en train vraiment de souffrir.

En fait, ton livre, il t'a permis de faire ta vie.

Et en fait, je ne m'en rendais pas compte.

c'est qu'on m'a ajouté du travail à la maison.
