2018 hat Grossbritannien gemerkt, Einsamkeit ist so ein dramatisches Problem in der Gesellschaft,

dass sie ein Ministerium aufgebaut haben, das sich um das Thema Einsamkeit im Land kümmert.

Und eigentlich finden wir das in der Bibel schon, finden wir das von Gott schon.

And actually, we already find that in the Bible, we already find that from God.

Gott hat schon ganz am Anfang der Schöpfung gesagt, es ist nicht gut.

God said at the very beginning of creation, it is not good.

Es ist nicht gut, wenn der Mensch allein ist.

It is not good for man to be alone.

Mutter Teresa war eine Nonne, die sich unter den Ärmsten der Armen in Calcutta in den Lams gelebt hat.

Mother Teresa was a nun who lived among the poorest of the poor in Calcutta.

Und dort den Armen dient hat, hat gesagt,

And there he who serves the poor has said,

Loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most terrible poverty.

Einsamkeit und das Gefühl, ungewollt zu sein, ist die grausamste Form von Armut.

Wir sind zwar alle unglaublich verbunden mit etwa 1'000 verschiedenen Kommunikationsmitteln und egal wo auf der Welt du bist,

du kannst im anderen Sinne TikToks anschauen und du kannst durch die Reels scrollen ohne Ende und trotzdem sind in der heutigen Zeit mehr Menschen allein als je.

You can watch TikToks in a different sense and scroll through Reels endlessly, and yet, in today's time, more people are alone than ever.

Und in dieser Serie wollen wir hineintauchen.

How can we experience better friendship?

Wie können wir bessere Freunde sein und bessere Freunde auch haben?

How can we be better friends and have better friends?

Man hat herausgefunden, Freunde braucht man nicht nur um glücklich zu sein, sondern Freunde führen dazu, dass man gesünder ist.

It has been discovered that friends are not only needed to be happy, but they also contribute to being healthier.

Menschen, die keine Freunde haben, sterben früher.

People who have no friends die earlier.

Um das ein wenig zu verstehen, möchte ich euch hineinnehmen in so verschiedene Freundschaftsstufen.

To understand this a bit better, I want to introduce you to the different levels of friendship.

Es gibt ja ganz verschiedene Arten von Freunden.

There are all kinds of friends.

Und wenn wir tiefe Freundschaften aufbauen wollen, müssen wir zuerst verstehen, was tiefe Freundschaften überhaupt sind.

And if we want to build deep friendships, we must first understand what deep friendships actually are.

Es gibt so Umstandsfreundschaften.

There are such circumstantial friendships.

Das sind so die, die am äussersten sind.

Those are the ones who are at the outermost.

Das sind Freundschaften mit Menschen, die vielleicht an der gleichen Schulklasse sind.

These are friendships with people who might be in the same school class.

Irgendwelche Schulfreunde, Arbeitsfreunde.

Any school friends, work friends.

Das sind Freundschaften, die das Resultat sind von Umständen.

These are friendships that are the result of circumstances.

Ja, du arbeitest nun einmal in der gleichen Abteilung oder in der gleichen Firma.

Yes, you work in the same department or at the same company.

Du bist nun einmal in der gleichen Klasse.

You are now in the same class.

Und dann entstehen Freundschaften.

And then friendships are formed.

Aber die sind oft eigentlich durch das geprägt, dass eben die gleichen Umstände sind.

But they are often actually shaped by the fact that the same circumstances exist.

Und oft, wenn sich diese Umstände ändern, gehen solche Freundschaften auch wieder vorbei.

And often, when these circumstances change, such friendships also fade away.

Das ist auch ganz normal.

That's perfectly normal as well.

Dann hat man nochmals so ein Freundeskreis.

Then you have such a circle of friends again.

Das ist dann schon ein Stück näher.

That's already a step closer.

Das sind Menschen, mit denen du irgendwo unterwegs bist.

These are people you are out and about with somewhere.

Mit denen du unterwegs bist.

With whom you are traveling.

Mit denen du durchs Leben bist.

With those you are going through life.

Vielleicht Leute in deiner Small Group.

Maybe people in your small group.

Leute im Unlocked.

People in Unlocked.

Leute, wo du irgendwo sagst, hey, das sind Freunde von mir.

People, where you say somewhere, hey, these are my friends.

Ich kann es mir noch gerne so ein bisschen weggefährten auf einer Lebensstrecke.

I can still enjoy it a little by drifting away on a life path.

Ein Schlüssel ist da.

A key is there.

Im Gegensatz zu den Umstandsfreundschaften sind es sicher Menschen, die du dich gerne damit abgibst.

In contrast to circumstantial friendships, these are definitely people you enjoy associating with.

Menschen, die du gewählt hast zu deinen Freunden.

People you have chosen to be your friends.

Wo du sagst, hey, ich will, dass das meine Freunde sind.

Where you say, hey, I want these to be my friends.

Und dann gibt es noch etwas Ähnliches.

And then there is something similar.

Also die engsten Freunde.

So the closest friends.

Das sind Menschen, wo du sagst, hey, die prägen dein Leben.

These are people who you say, hey, they shape your life.

Die prädigen mein Leben.

They preach my life.

Die beeinflussen mein Leben.

They influence my life.

Und von denen kann man nicht viel haben.

And you can't have much of those.

Da hat man höchstens irgendwo eine Handvoll.

There you only have a handful at most.

Meistens vielleicht nur zwei oder drei, wo man sagen kann, hey, das sind die engsten Freunde.

Most of the time maybe only two or three, where you can say, hey, those are the closest friends.

Die engsten Freunde prägen mein Leben maßgeblich.

The closest friends significantly shape my life.

Und ich präge ihr Leben.

And I shape her life.

Und dann ist es so wichtig, sich die Frage zu stellen, hey, wer sind denn meine engsten Freunde?

And then it is so important to ask oneself the question, hey, who are my closest friends?

Die Freundeskreise, die sieht man sogar schon bei Jesus.

The circles of friends can even be seen with Jesus.

Jesus hat grundsätzlich alle Menschen geliebt.

Jesus fundamentally loved all people.

Und dann hatte er hunderte von Menschen, die ihm nachgefolgt sind.

And then he had hundreds of people who followed him.

Man liest ja, dass er zum Teil auf ein Boot rausgegangen ist, weil sie ihn sonst irgendwo beim Ufer in den See gedrückt hätten.

One reads that he partly went out on a boat because otherwise they would have pushed him into the lake somewhere by the shore.

Und dann hatte er schlussendlich einen Freundeskreis.

And then he finally had a circle of friends.

Die zwölf Jünger, mit denen er unterwegs war.

The twelve disciples he was traveling with.

Innerhalb von diesen zwölf hatte er aber nochmals drei, die er enger mentoren hat.

Within these twelve, however, he had three whom he considered closer mentors.

Da war er ihnen ganz nah unterwegs.

There he was quite close to them.

Jesus hatte diese Kreise auch.

Jesus also had these circles.

Und entscheidend für dieses und für mein Leben ist, wer die engsten Freunde sind.

And crucial for this and for my life is who my closest friends are.

Denn sie prägen unser Leben.

For they shape our lives.

Ich kann heute Abend sehr viele Bibelstellen, aber ich finde, es gibt so viele coole Stellen in der Bibel, die über Freundschaft reden.

I can share a lot of Bible verses tonight, but I think there are so many cool passages in the Bible that talk about friendship.

So ein Vers ist Sprüche 18, 24.

Such a verse is Proverbs 18:24.

Da lesen wir,

There we read,

Viele sogenannte Freunde schaden dir nur, aber ein echter Freund steht mehr zu dir als ein Bruder.

Many so-called friends only harm you, but a true friend stands by you more than a brother.

Ein echter Freund, das ist ein Mensch, der dir nahe ist, mit dem du unterwegs bist und das dein Leben prägt.

A true friend is a person who is close to you, with whom you are on your journey, and who shapes your life.

Mit dem zusammen, aber das lesen wir auch in diesem Vers,

Together with this, but we also read in this verse,

die falschen Freunde, die falschen Menschen, die ziehen dich runter.

the wrong friends, the wrong people, they bring you down.

Und sie ziehen dich immer runter.

And they always pull you down.

Man kann es hier mit der Bühne probieren.

You can try it here with the stage.

Es ist viel einfacher, wenn du mich runter ziehst, als ich dich unten hoch ziehe.

It's much easier if you pull me down than if I pull you up from below.

Und das passiert auch mit den Freunden, mit denen wir unterwegs sind, wenn wir Menschen um uns herum haben.

And that also happens with the friends we are with when we have people around us.

Menschen, gerade als enge Freunde haben, die uns runterziehen.

People, especially those who are close friends, who bring us down.

Sie ziehen uns runter, nur sehr selten wir hoch.

They pull us down, only very rarely do we go up.

Darum funktioniert das Missionary Dating nicht.

That's why missionary dating doesn't work.

Also das Missionarstaten nach dem Motto, ich weiss, er ist nicht gläubig, aber vielleicht findet er ja zu Jesus durch Beziehung.

So the missionary approach goes along the lines of, I know he is not a believer, but maybe he will find Jesus through relationship.

Es zieht runter, nicht hoch.

It pulls down, not up.

1. Korinther 15, 33, es ist gesagt zu schlechten Freunden, schlechter Umgang verdirbt auch deinen besten Charakter.

1 Corinthians 15:33, it is said that bad friends corrupt good character.

Du kannst ganz etwas Brutales sagen.

You can say something quite brutal.

Zeig mir deine Freunde und ich sage dir, wo du in deinem Leben landest.

Show me your friends and I will tell you where you will end up in life.

Das ist eigentlich eine mega brutale Aussage.

That's actually a super brutal statement.

Schau deine Freunde an.

Look at your friends.

Du siehst, du wirst herausfinden, wo es dich hinzieht, wie du rauskommen wirst.

You will see, you will find out where it pulls you, how you will get out.

Was wird passieren in deinem Leben?

What will happen in your life?

Wir werden so wie Menschen mit denen, mit denen wir unterwegs sind.

We become like the people we are with.

Sie prägen einen viel mehr, als man es merkt.

They shape you much more than you realize.

Judith und ich, wir waren diesen Sommer mit unseren besten Freunden in den Ferien.

Judith and I spent this summer on vacation with our best friends.

Das ist die Schwester von Judith.

This is Judith's sister.

Die Schwester von Judith und ihr Mann und die ganze Familie, das sind unsere engsten Freunde.

Judith's sister and her husband and the whole family are our closest friends.

Wir waren mit ihnen in den Ferien.

We were on vacation with them.

Das ist eine richtige Hyper-Sports-Familie.

That's a real hyper-sports family.

Paddy macht Ironman.

Paddy is doing an Ironman.

Ironman ist 3,6 Kilometer Schwimmen, 180 Kilometer Velofahren und dann noch 42 Kilometer Rennen.

Ironman is 3.6 kilometers of swimming, 180 kilometers of cycling, and then another 42 kilometers of running.

Alles innerhalb von 10,5 Stunden oder so.

Everything within 10.5 hours or so.

Brutal.

Brutal.

Der eine Sohn ist der Nazi im Unihockey, der andere Sohn ist der Auswahl im Fussball.

One son is the Nazi in floorball, the other son is in the selection for football.

Das ist einfach eine Power-Sports-Familie.

That's just a power sports family.

Sarah, wenn sie am Morgen aufsteht, sie steht vor allen auf und macht so eine Stunde so ein Hit und alles Mögliche.

Sarah, when she gets up in the morning, she gets up before everyone else and plays a hit for about an hour and all sorts of things.

Ich habe gedacht, ich möchte das jetzt auch mal machen.

I thought I would like to do that now as well.

Ich habe etwa 6 Minuten, sie zieht jetzt eine Stunde durch.

I have about 6 minutes, she is now going for an hour.

Ich habe 6 Minuten, nachher habe ich nicht mehr.

I have 6 minutes, after that I won't have any more.

Eine so richtige Sports-Familie.

A truly sporty family.

Mit denen waren wir diesen Sommer unterwegs in zweieinhalb Wochen.

We were on the road with them for two and a half weeks this summer.

Und wie brutal das mit uns gemacht hat.

And how brutally it was done to us.

Judith und ich, wir haben angefangen Sport zu machen, wie die Pikten.

Judith and I have started to exercise like the Picts.

Ich habe vorher schon ein wenig Sport gemacht.

I already did a little exercise earlier.

Aber es hat uns einfach mitgezogen.

But it just pulled us along.

Ich bin nach Hause gekommen und bin auf die Waage gestanden.

I came home and stood on the scale.

Und habe gesagt, das ist eine gute Idee.

And said, that's a good idea.

Und sie hat gesagt, was?

And she said, what?

Vier Kilo leichter, als ich nach Hause gekommen bin.

Four kilos lighter than when I came home.

Nach zweieinhalb Wochen Ferien.

After two and a half weeks of vacation.

Und in den Ferien isst man ja noch gut.

And during the holidays, one still eats well.

Und wir haben auch gut gegessen.

And we also ate well.

Wenn man unterwegs ist, prägt das Leben brutal.

When you are on the road, life shapes you brutally.

Mit den Menschen, mit denen man unterwegs ist,

With the people you are traveling with,

an denen man sehen kann, wo man herkommt.

from which one can see where one comes from.

Dummerweise war ich dann wieder nach Hause.

Unfortunately, I was back home again.

Und diese Kilo hatte ich dann relativ schnell wieder.

And I regained that weight relatively quickly.

Das ist ein anderes Problem.

That is a different problem.

Heute Abend möchte ich mit euch ein wenig anschauen,

This evening I would like to take a look at something with you.

welche Freunde soll ich denn wählen?

Which friends should I choose?

Was sagt die Bibel dazu?

What does the Bible say about it?

Welche Freunde soll ich wählen?

Which friends should I choose?

Nicht wählen?

Not voting?

Und was für ein Freund soll ich sein?

And what kind of friend am I supposed to be?

Ich möchte zuerst einmal kurz starten mit ein paar Kriterien,

I would like to start briefly with a few criteria.

welche Freunde ich nicht wählen sollte.

which friends I shouldn't choose.

Ein ganz cooles Buch von den Sprüchen der Bibel,

A really cool book of the sayings from the Bible,

das müssen wir mal durchlesen, ist super cool.

We need to read through this, it’s super cool.

Und es hat ganz viele Aussagen dazu.

And it has many statements about it.

Ich bringe einfach nur einen Auszug von fünf Arten von Menschen,

I am simply providing an excerpt of five types of people,

die du nicht zu deinen Freunden wählen solltest.

that you should not choose as your friends.

Das erste lesen wir in Sprüchen 23 davon.

The first we read about this in Proverbs 23.

Da heisst es, einen Kampf zu vermeiden ist ehrenvoll,

It is said that avoiding a fight is honorable.

nur Narren suchen den Streit.

Only fools seek conflict.

Suche keine Menschen als Freunde, die gerne streiten.

Don't seek friends who like to argue.

Es gibt so Menschen, die lieben es zu streiten.

There are some people who love to argue.

Die lieben es, negativ zu diskutieren.

They love to discuss negatively.

Die lieben es, die pumpen das irgendwo durch auf.

They love it, they pump it somewhere through.

Irgendwie können sie in einem Streit drin sein.

Somehow they can be involved in an argument.

Such dir die Menschen nicht als Freunde,

Do not choose people as friends,

weil es wird dein Leben und es wird die Beziehung prägen.

because it will shape your life and it will shape the relationship.

Die zweite Art von Menschen,

The second type of people,

die du nicht zu deinen eigenen Freunden suchen solltest,

that you should not seek among your own friends,

sind Klatschtanten.

are gossiping women.

Klatschtanten, männlich oder weiblich, spielt da keine Rolle.

Gossipers, whether male or female, doesn't make a difference.

Wer klatscht, plaudert auch Geheimnisse aus,

Those who gossip also spill secrets.

deshalb trifft dich nicht mit Leuten, die zu viel reden.

That's why you shouldn't meet with people who talk too much.

Das Problem ist, wer über andere klatscht,

The problem is, those who gossip about others,

wird auch über dich klatschen.

will also gossip about you.

Der eignet sich nicht zum Freund.

He is not suitable as a friend.

Die dritte Art von Menschen,

The third type of people,

die du nicht zu deinen Freunden haben solltest,

that you should not have to your friends,

sind Menschen, die ihr Temperament nicht kontrollieren können.

are people who cannot control their temperament.

Menschen, die ausrasten.

People who freak out.

Sprüche 22, 24 und 25

Proverbs 22:24-25 "Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go: Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul."

und 25. Halte dich von einem

and 25. Stay away from a

zornigen Menschen fern und meide

stay away from angry people and avoid them

den jähzornigen, damit du

Das ist eine krasse Aussage.

That's a bold statement.

Habe die Menschen nicht als enge Freunde,

Don't have the people as close friends,

Vierte Gruppe von

Fourth group of

Menschen, die du nicht zu deinen engen Freunden

People you don't consider your close friends.

nehmen sollst. Dieben und Betrüger.

you should take. Thieves and frauds.

Sprich 1, 13 bis 15.

Proverbs 1:13-15.

Ich sage nachher, was ich damit meine.

I'll explain later what I mean by that.

Denke nur,

Just think,

was für kostbare Reichtümer

what precious treasures

wir finden und mit welcher grossen Beute

we find and with what great prey

wir unsere Häuser füllen werden.

we will fill our houses.

Komm, schließ dich uns an, wir wollen unsere Beute mit dir

Come join us, we want to share our loot with you.

teilen. Geh nicht mit ihnen, mein Sohn.

Share. Do not go with them, my son.

Halte dich von ihnen fern.

Stay away from them.

Menschen, die es nicht ernst

People who don't take it seriously.

nehmen mit Ehrlichkeit.

Take with honesty.

Menschen, die bescheissen.

People who cheat.

Menschen, die klauen.

People who steal.

Menschen, die betrügen.

People who cheat.

Weil was sagt die Bibel da? Es wird abfärben auf dein Leben.

Because what does the Bible say about that? It will rub off on your life.

Es wird entweder abfärben auf dein Leben,

It will either rub off on your life,

dass du selber anfängst,

that you start yourself,

dass du keine klaren Sachen mehr machst

that you no longer do clear things

oder mitgefangen, mitgehangen.

or caught together, hanged together.

Und die fünfte Gruppe,

And the fifth group,

und die ist jetzt nicht aus den Sprüchen,

and this is not from the sayings now,

sondern aus dem ersten Korintherbrief,

but from the first letter to the Corinthians,

mach nicht Menschen

don't make people

zu deinen engen Freunden,

to your close friends,

Gläubige, die sexuell sündigen.

Believers who sin sexually.

Ich weiss, es ist jetzt ganz lustig,

I know, it's quite funny now,

dass das da reinkommt, aber ich möchte es euch kurz vorlesen

that this gets included, but I would like to read it to you briefly

aus dem ersten Korinther 5, 9.

from First Corinthians 5:9.

Der Paulus schreibt da drin rein,

Paul writes in there,

er hat das schon früher gesagt,

he said that earlier,

und dann hatten Christen das Gefühl,

and then Christians had the feeling,

sie dürfen sich mit niemandem mehr abgeben.

You are not allowed to associate with anyone anymore.

Egal, ob Gläubig oder nicht.

Whether believer or not.

Aber es geht da nicht um Menschen, die Jesus nicht kennen.

But it's not about people who don't know Jesus.

Schau, Menschen, die Jesus nicht kennen,

Look, people who do not know Jesus,

die haben das Genusch in ihrem Leben, das ist ganz normal,

they have the fuss in their lives, that is completely normal,

weil sie haben Kraft, gar nicht in ihrem Leben anders zu leben.

because they have the strength not to live any differently in their lives.

Das Leben anders zu leben, haben wir erst,

We have only just begun to live life differently,

wenn durch Jesus der Heilige Geist in uns reinlebt.

when the Holy Spirit lives in us through Jesus.

Dann können wir erst anders leben.

Then we can live differently.

Vorher geht das gar nicht.

It doesn't work at all beforehand.

Aber wenn wir dann so weiterleben und sagen, es ist uns egal,

But if we continue to live like this and say we don't care,

eben gerade im sexuellen Bereich,

just now in the sexual area,

dann hat es Einfluss auf unser Leben.

then it has an impact on our lives.

Da schreibt der Paulus,

There writes Paul,

in einem früheren Brief schreibe ich euch,

In an earlier letter, I wrote to you,

ihr sollt nichts mit Menschen zu schaffen haben,

you should have nothing to do with people,

die sich auf Unzucht einlassen.

who engage in debauchery.

Doch damit meine ich nicht Ungläubige,

But by that, I do not mean non-believers,

die Unzucht treiben, habgierig sind

to commit fornication, are greedy

und stehlen oder Götzen anbeten.

and steal or worship idols.

Wenn ihr solche Leute meiden wollt,

If you want to avoid such people,

müsst ihr ja die Welt verlassen.

You must leave the world.

Was ich meine war,

What I meant was,

dass ihr keinen Kontakt zu jemandem haben sollt,

that you shouldn't have contact with someone,

der sich als gläubig bezeichnet und doch Unzucht treibt,

who describes himself as a believer and yet commits fornication,

habgierig ist, Götzen anbetet,

is greedy, worships idols,

flucht, sich betrinkt oder andere beraubt.

fleeing, getting drunk, or robbing others.

Mit solchen Leuten sollt ihr auch nicht zusammen essen.

You should not eat with such people either.

Warum?

Why?

Es sind Menschen,

There are people,

es sind Menschen,

there are people,

die schlussendlich Jesus in den Dreck ziehen.

ultimately drag Jesus into the dirt.

Weil sie sagen,

Because they say,

ja, hey, Jesus ist schon okay,

yeah, hey, Jesus is all right,

aber du kannst mit Jesus leben,

but you can live with Jesus,

aber trotzdem weiterleben, wie du willst.

but still live on as you wish.

Und wir sagen, hey, nein.

And we say, hey, no.

Und das ist das eine, was passiert.

And that is the one thing that happens.

Das heisst, du bist mit Menschen unterwegs,

That means you are out with people,

die ein ganz anderes Bild von Gott abgeben,

which present a completely different picture of God,

als du es eigentlich selber glaubst.

as you actually believe it yourself.

Und vor allem, sie werden dich mitreissen.

And above all, they will sweep you away.

Deine eigenen Linien,

Your own lines,

deine eigenen Grenzen werden verschwimmen.

your own boundaries will blur.

Also da haben wir eine Liste von Menschen,

So there we have a list of people,

die wir sagen können, hey,

that we can say, hey,

wählt ihr die nicht zu den engsten Freunden?

Do you not choose them as your closest friends?

People who encourage you,

People who help you,

dich unterstützen, Jesus ähnlicher zu werden.

to support you in becoming more like Jesus.

Menschen, die dir helfen,

People who help you,

die mit dir zusammen den Weg mit Jesus vollgasst.

I want to vote as a friend.

Ich will ein guter Freund sein.

I want to be a good friend.

Ich will ein Leben in Entwicklung leben.

I want to live a life in development.

Und wo du vielleicht auch so innerlich

And where you might also feel that way inside.

einfach Gott ganz persönlich eine Antwort gibst

you simply give God a very personal answer

und sagst, will ich das?

and say, do I want that?

Will ich das wirklich?

Do I really want that?

Und zwar will ich nicht einfach nur ja sagen

And I don't just want to say yes.

dazu heute Abend, wie es jetzt noch logisch und gut klingt,

about this evening, how it still sounds logical and good now,

weil jetzt bin ich sogar bereit,

because now I am even ready,

einen Preis zu zahlen für das.

to pay a price for that.

Aber im Wissen, hey,

But in the knowledge, hey,

das wird mein Leben prägen.

That will shape my life.

Es wird mein Leben verändern.

It will change my life.

Für die engsten Freunde.

For the closest friends.

dass du mit deinen Jüngern vorgemacht hast,

that you have pretended with your disciples,

was es bedeutet,

what it means,

auch mit Freunden unterwegs zu sein.

also to be out with friends.

Und jetzt von dir können wir lernen,

And now from you, we can learn,

von der Bibel können wir lernen,

From the Bible, we can learn,

dass wir in unserem Leben

that we in our life

nicht irgendwo heranlaufen,

not running up from somewhere,

so unbewusst,

so unconscious,

sondern wir wollen uns entwickeln

but we want to develop ourselves

in eine Richtung,

in one direction,

wo wir sagen können,

where we can say,

hey, mal das passt, mal das stimmt.

Hey, sometimes that fits, sometimes that's true.

Und Jesus, ich möchte dich einfach so bitten,

And Jesus, I just want to ask you like this,

für jeden Einzelnen heute Abend hier,

for each individual here tonight,

wenn wir uns über diese drei Entscheidungen nachdenken,

when we think about these three decisions,

dass du in unser Herz hineinwirkst

that you influence our hearts

und dass wir diese Entscheidung

and that we will make this decision

einfach so ganz persönlich treffen dürfen.

to be able to meet personally, just like that.

Dass wir Menschen sein dürfen,

That we are allowed to be human,

dass wir uns dazu entscheiden dürfen,

that we are allowed to decide on this,

Freunde zu wählen,

Choosing friends,

selbst gute Freunde zu sein

to be good friends ourselves

und dass wir uns dazu entscheiden dürfen,

and that we are allowed to make this decision,

selbst in Entwicklung zu leben.

to live in development itself.

Und dafür brauchen wir deine Hilfe.

And for that, we need your help.

Ich möchte dich speziell bitten,

I would like to specifically ask you,

heute Abend für die Menschen,

this evening for the people,

die hier zuhören und sagen,

those who listen here and say,

hey, ich habe keine Freunde,

hey, I have no friends,

keine engsten Freunde,

no close friends,

dass du ihnen begegnest heute Abend,

that you meet them this evening,

dass du sie in Berührung bringst

that you bring them in touch

mit den richtigen Menschen.

with the right people.

Durch dein Reden,

Through your talking,

durch dein Wirken,

through your actions,

dass du ihnen Türen öffnest,

that you open doors for them,

dass du ihnen Sensibilität gibst,

that you give them sensitivity,

dass du ihnen zeigst,

that you show them,

was so ein Mensch sein könnte,

what such a person could be,

dass du so Freundschaften ermöglichst.

that you enable such friendships.
