Hanna das Eichhörnchen, Kapitel 4, Pepe, könnt ihr euch noch erinnern?

Hanna the Squirrel, Chapter 4, Pepe, can you still remember?

Das sanfte Rascheln der Blätter verstummte schlagartig und langsam drehte sich die Eiche zu den beiden um.

The gentle rustling of the leaves abruptly ceased, and the oak slowly turned towards the two.

Hanna und Max saßen da wie erstarrt.

Hanna and Max sat there as if frozen.

Mit großen Augen beobachten sie das Schauspiel vor ihren Augen.

With wide eyes, they watch the spectacle before them.

Langsam und majestätisch drehte der Baum sich zu den beiden um.

Slowly and majestically, the tree turned toward the two of them.

Ein paar Spatzen flogen aufgeregt auf, schwirrten über die beiden und nahmen in sicherer Entfernung auf den Birkenplatz.

A few sparrows flew up excitedly, buzzing over the two of them and settled at a safe distance on the birch tree area.

Von dort konnten sie beobachten, was jetzt geschehen würde.

From there, they could observe what would happen next.

Aber was würde jetzt geschehen?

But what would happen now?

Würde der Baum sie mit Eicheln bewerfen und fortjagen?

Would the tree pelt them with acorns and chase them away?

Oder würde sich anhören, was sie tun?

Or would listen to what they are doing?

Was sie zu sagen hatten?

What did they have to say?

Könnte die Eiche ihnen helfen?

Could the oak help them?

Sie sahen sich kurz an und schienen nicht mehr sicher, ob es eine gute Idee war, die Eiche befragen zu wollen.

They glanced at each other briefly and seemed no longer sure if it was a good idea to want to consult the oak.

Aufmerksam musterte die Eiche die beiden Besucher.

The oak studied the two visitors attentively.

Und nachdem einige Minuten vergangen waren, in denen Hanna kaum wagte zu atmen, nickte der Baum schließlich bedächtig.

And after a few minutes had passed, during which Hanna hardly dared to breathe, the tree finally nodded thoughtfully.

Mit unerwartet warmer und freundlicher Stimme sagte die Eiche schließlich,

With an unexpectedly warm and friendly voice, the oak finally said,

Na ihr zwei?

Well, you two?

Ihr seid doch bestimmt Hanna und Max oben vom Bergwald, oder?

You must be Hanna and Max from the mountain forest, right?

Verdutzt sahen sich die beiden an.

The two looked at each other in amazement.

Woher wusste der Baum das?

How did the tree know that?

Schließlich waren sie noch nie hier.

After all, they have never been here.

Dann lächelte der Baum und sagte, als ob er ihre Gedanken erraten hätte.

Then the tree smiled and said, as if it had guessed her thoughts.

Drei große Bäume, die auf eurem Schulhof stehen, sind meine Cousinen.

Three large trees that stand in your schoolyard are my cousins.

Ein schwarzhaftes Völkchen.

A little black people.

Was habt ihr denn? Warum kommt ihr zu mir?

What do you have? Why are you coming to me?

Bei den freundlichen Worten hatte Hanna wieder Mut gefasst.

With the friendly words, Hanna had regained her courage.

Mit ein paar großen Sätzen kletterte sie.

With a few big strides, she climbed.

Als sie an der Eiche hinauf, setzte sie sich auf einen gemütlichen Ast und erzählte ihre Geschichte.

As she climbed up the oak, she sat down on a comfortable branch and told her story.

Nachdem sie geendet hatte, blickte die Eiche sie nachdenklich an.

After she had finished, the oak looked at her thoughtfully.

Es ist sehr schön, wie du dich für deinen Apfelbaum einsetzt.

It's very nice how you advocate for your apple tree.

Das ist heutzutage selten, dass man sich um andere kümmert.

It is rare these days to care about others.

Aber ich fürchte, ich kann dir nicht weiterhelfen.

But I'm afraid I can't help you further.

Dann erzählte die Eiche, dass der Wind mal sanft durch ihre Blätter fuhr und sie zum Rascheln brachte.

Then the oak told that the wind once gently passed through its leaves and made them rustle.

Dann wieder mit voller Wucht gegen den alten Stamm schlug, wie um sie zu entwurzeln.

Then struck again with full force against the old trunk, as if to uproot it.

Wie er im Herbst die bunten Blätter abriss und durch die Luft wirbte.

How he tore off the colorful leaves in autumn and swirled them through the air.

Und im Winter, wo er den Schnee zu dem alten Stamm wehte und die freiliegenden Wurzeln zudeckte,

And in winter, where he blew the snow to the old trunk and covered the exposed roots,

damit die Eiche nicht froh war und dass der Wind ein guter Freund war, aber auch ein erbitterter Feind sein kann.

so that the oak was not happy and that the wind could be a good friend, but also a bitter enemy.

Nur mit ihm geredet hatte die Eiche noch nie.

The oak had never spoken to him before.

Traurig ließ Hanna den Kopf hängen und schluchzte.

Sad, Hanna let her head hang and sobbed.

Da sagte plötzlich eine zarte, helle Stimme,

Then suddenly a gentle, bright voice said,

Hanna, du musst mit dem Adler reden.

Hanna, you need to talk to the eagle.

Der Adler sagte immer, der Wind ist sein Freund.

The eagle always said that the wind is his friend.

Er wird auf seinem Rücken reisen.

He will travel on his back.

Erschrocken über seinen eigenen Mut hüpfte der Spatzel,

Startled by his own courage, the little sparrow hopped,

und ein paar Äste hinauf.

and a few branches up.

Auch die anderen Spatzen waren, während die Eiche erzählte,

The other sparrows were also present while the oak was telling.

in den Bürgen zurückgekommen, um nichts zu verpassen.

returned to the citizens to not miss anything.

Und alle, sogar die Eiche, schaute den kleinsten Spatz freundlich an.

And everyone, even the oak, looked kindly at the smallest sparrow.

Aufgeregt hüpfte er vor und zurück und wäre um ein Haar abgeschnappt und heruntergepurzelt.

Excited, he hopped back and forth and almost snapped and tumbled down.

Ich bin Pepe, und wenn ihr wollt, komme ich mit zum Adler.

I am Pepe, and if you want, I will come with you to the eagle.

Er ist mein Freund, und er kann euch sicher helfen.

He is my friend, and he can definitely help you.

Hanna schöpfte wieder Hoffnung.

Hanna regained hope.

Inzwischen hatte die Sonne schon einen großen Teil ihrer Zeit.

Meanwhile, the sun had already spent a significant part of its time.

Sie haben sich mit der Zeit ihres Weges am Himmel zurückgelegt,

They have covered the time of their journey in the sky,

und es wurde allerhöchste Zeit für Max und Hanna nach Hause zurückzukehren.

And it was high time for Max and Hanna to return home.

Also verabredeten sie sich mit Pepe für den nächsten Morgen,

So they arranged to meet with Pepe the next morning,

an der Stelle, wo der Weg über die Bergwiese den Bach kreuzte,

at the place where the path crossed the stream over the mountain meadow,

und machten sich schleunigst auf den Heimweg.

and hurriedly made their way home.

Am Bach warteten schon die Fische auf sie,

By the stream, the fish were already waiting for her,

und bespritzten die beiden Wanderer mit ihren Schwanzflossen und Kicherten.

and splashed the two hikers with their tail fins and giggled.

Max angelte noch zwei belegte Brote aus dem Rucksack,

Max pulled out two sandwiches from the backpack.

und hungrig schlangen die beiden das Essen in sich hinein.

And hungrily, the two of them devour the food.

Dabei warfen sie natürlich auch ein paar Pornos,

They also threw in a few pornos, of course,

trocken in den Bach, wo sich die Fische fröhlich kichernd dafür bedankten.

dry into the brook, where the fish happily giggled in thanks.

Die Sonne war gerade untergegangen, als die beiden bei dem alten Apfelbaum ankamen.

The sun had just set when the two arrived at the old apple tree.

Hannas Mutter hatte dem Baum einen neuen Wickel aus Kräutern und kalten Tüchern gemacht,

Hanna's mother had made the tree a new wrap of herbs and cold cloths,

und das Abendessen war auch schon fertig.

And dinner was already ready.

Natürlich erzählte Hanna ihrer Mama, was sie alles erlebt hatte,

Of course, Hanna told her mom everything she had experienced.

und ihr könnt euch sicher vorstellen, dass es in Max' Höhle ähnlich zu ging.

And you can surely imagine that it was similar in Max's cave.

Die beiden hatten heute wirklich einen aufregenden Tag.

The two of them really had an exciting day today.

Nach dem Essen durfte Hanna noch das Sand mitnehmen,

After the meal, Hanna was allowed to take the sand with her.

um sich den Baummenschen angucken.

to look at the tree people.

Dann brachte ihre Mama sie ins Bett und deckte sie zu.

Then her mom put her to bed and tucked her in.

»Ich bin so stolz auf dich, dass du versuchst, dem Baum zu helfen«, lächelte sie.

"I'm so proud of you for trying to help the tree," she smiled.

»Ich hab dich lieb, Mama«, sagte Hanna,

"I love you, Mom," said Hanna.

und friedlich und zufrieden lächelnd schlief sie ein,

and peacefully and contentedly, she fell asleep with a smile,

und träumte davon, auf dem Rücken eines Adlers zu fliegen.

and dreamed of flying on the back of an eagle.

Und wer weiß, vielleicht würde sie ja morgen mit dem Wind reden.

And who knows, maybe she would talk to the wind tomorrow.

Ob Pepe wohl die Wahrheit gesagt hat?

I wonder if Pepe told the truth?

Ob der stolze Adler wirklich sein Freund ist?

Is the proud eagle really his friend?

Und ob Hanna auf dem Rücken des Adlers fliegen wird, um mit dem Wind zu reden?

And will Hanna fly on the eagle's back to speak with the wind?
