Ich habe gehört, es gibt auch Studiogäste heute und ich möchte niemanden anstecken. Deswegen sitze ich in meinem Wohnzimmer.

Apparently not Covid, but who really knows for sure. My Covid tests are from last year. Maybe that’s not the most up-to-date version. I’ll stay home just to be safe. I’ve heard there are studio guests today, and I don’t want to infect anyone. That’s why I’m sitting in my living room.

Das freut mich. Wir sind zurück, also ich bin zurück im Studio, mir geht's wieder besser. Du bist krank, wir haben uns abgewechselt, aber ist ja auch gut, ne? Dann kann die Show weitergehen, wenn immer einer wenigstens von uns da ist.

I'm glad to hear that. We're back, I mean I'm back in the studio, I'm feeling better again. You're sick, we took turns, but that's fine, right? That way the show can continue as long as at least one of us is there.

The show must go on und weißt du, was noch weitergehen muss? Der Easy German Book Club, der geht nächste Woche weiter, nachdem wir ein Jahr Pause gemacht haben. Letztes Jahr haben wir einen Book Club gemacht, gemeinsam mit Janusz und mir und dem ganzen Easy German Team.

Einen zweimonatigen Arbeitsplan. Da ging ja viel Arbeit rein. Oder Pauline hat es gemacht?

Genau und ich habe meine Schichten schon bei mir eingetragen und zwar ist das so, dass wir zwei Bücher lesen über zwei Monate lang. Also wenn ihr Bock habt, könnt ihr beide Bücher lesen, ihr könnt aber auch nur das Buch für Anfänger oder nur das Buch für Fortgeschrittene lesen und jede Woche lesen wir dann ein oder zwei Kapitel und sprechen darüber. Einmal in Schriftform und einmal gesprochen in einem Call.

So if you want, you can read both books, but you can also just read the beginner's book or just the advanced book, and every week we will read one or two chapters and talk about them. Aber Bücher lesen ist einfach total hilfreich beim Deutsch lernen, beim Sprachen lernen.

But reading books is just really helpful for learning German, for learning languages.

Das Lesen gehört einfach dazu, wenn man als erwachsener Mensch eine Sprache erlernt.

Reading is simply part of learning a language as an adult.

Und deswegen empfehlen wir euch mitzumachen.
