Die Gemeinde in Ephesus – Rastlosigkeit bis zum Ende

Guten Morgen. Wir haben gerade von dem ersten Zeugnis gehört, was man schon mal bekommt.

Und ganz ehrlich, ich glaube, ich muss es einfach machen.

Und wenn man so, was man so hört, ist ja, wenn man schon mal so persönliche Dinge von einem selbst weitergibt,

dann macht das das, was man sagt, irgendwie authentischer oder glaubwürdiger.

Ich möchte einen Satz aus meinem Zeugnis aus der 1b vorlesen und ich gelobe, es ist besser geworden.

Meist ist er, also schreibt mein Lehrer über mich, jedoch ruhig und freundlich, versucht aber auch, den Lehrer zu hintergehen.

Most of the time, he is, as my teacher writes about me, calm and friendly, but he also tries to outsmart the teacher.

Ich weiß gar nicht, warum das hier steht, aber es ist tatsächlich nachzulesen.

Tja, was soll ich dazu sagen?

Es geht um Zeugnisse, um ein Zeugnis, was ausgestellt wird, was Jesus seiner Gemeinde in Ephesus schreibt.

It is about certificates, about a certificate that is issued, which Jesus writes to his congregation in Ephesus.

Ein Zeugnis ist ja, wie Christian schon gesagt hat, immer etwas, wo man eine Bewertung bekommt, wo es eine Aussage darüber getroffen wird.

A certificate is, as Christian has already said, always something where you receive an evaluation, where a statement is made about it.

Und darum geht es heute.

Jesus hat, wie schon gesagt, auch Zeugnisse geschrieben an seine Gemeinden.

Jesus has, as already mentioned, also written testimonies to his churches.

Wir kennen das unter dem Namen Sendschreiben.

We know this by the name of circular letter.

Es gibt die Sendschreiben in der Offenbarung an die Gemeinden und wir möchten heute das Sendschreiben an die Gemeinde in Ephesus ein bisschen näher anschauen.

There are the letters in the Revelation to the churches, and we would like to take a closer look at the letter to the church in Ephesus today.

Mit einer Auszeichnung, meiner Meinung nach, wo mir persönlich erstmal so das Herz aufgeht und wo ich sage, ja, genau so muss es doch sein.

With an award, in my opinion, that personally makes my heart swell and where I say, yes, this is exactly how it should be.

Genau das würde ich gerne von Jesus über unsere Gemeinde hören.

That's exactly what I would like to hear from Jesus about our church.

Wir lesen gemeinsam die Bibel aus Offenbarung 2, die Verse 1 bis 3.

Dort schreibt, dort steht,

Schreibe an den Engel der Gemeinde in Ephesus, der, der die sieben Sterne in seiner rechten Hand hält und zwischen den sieben goldenen Leuchtern umhergeht, lässt der Gemeinde sagen.

Write to the angel of the church in Ephesus, who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands, let the church know.

Ich weiß, also Jesus spricht hier selbst.

Ich weiß zur Gemeinde, wie du lebst und was du tust.

I know your works, and where you dwell, and what you do.

Ich kenne deinen unermüdlichen Einsatz und deine Ausdauer.

I know your tireless commitment and perseverance.

Ich weiß auch, dass du niemanden in deiner Mitte duldest.

I also know that you do not tolerate anyone in your midst.

Der Böses.

The evil.

Und du hast die geprüft und als Lügner entlarvt, die behaupten, Apostel zu sein und es gar nicht sind.

And you have examined them and exposed as liars those who claim to be apostles and are not.

Ja, du hast Ausdauer bewiesen und hast um meines Namens willen viel gelitten und ausgehalten, ohne dich entmutigen zu lassen.

Yes, you have shown endurance and have suffered and endured a lot for the sake of my name, without letting yourself be discouraged.

Ist doch ein super Zeugnis, oder?

It's a great report card, isn't it?

Und ich würde es, glaube ich, gerne bei uns im Foyer vorne aufhängen, damit einfach jeder sehen kann, wie Jesus unsere Gemeinde sieht.

And I think I would like to hang it up in our foyer at the front so that everyone can see how Jesus sees our church.

Tolles Zeugnis, eine wertschätzende Aussage, wie wir bei uns in der Gemeinde unterwegs sind.

Great testimony, an appreciative statement about how we operate in our community.

Jeder soll wissen, wie Jesus seine Gemeinde sieht.

Everyone should know how Jesus sees His church.

Und offensichtlich machen wir ja, wenn wir den Text lesen und bewerten, alles richtig, beziehungsweise die Gemeinde in Ephesus.

And obviously, when we read and evaluate the text, we are doing everything right, or rather the community in Ephesus is.

Es läuft einfach richtig gut.

It's just going really well.

Die Gemeinde ist fleißig.

The community is hardworking.

Man bringt sich ein, man bringt auch Opfer.

One commits oneself, one also makes sacrifices.

Es läuft scheinbar nicht alles ganz easy, ganz einfach.

It seems that not everything is going quite easy, quite simple.

Aber das, was getan wird.

But what is being done.

Das, was man tut, ist richtig.

What one does is right.

Der gesamte, lasst es mich so sagen, Gemeindebetrieb ist richtig ordentlich am Laufen.

The entire, let me put it this way, community operations are running quite smoothly.

Jesus ist offensichtlich mit der Gemeinde zufrieden.

Jesus is clearly satisfied with the congregation.

Und eigentlich könnte der Brief doch an dieser Stelle enden nach dem Motto.

And actually, the letter could end at this point with the motto.

Mach weiter so.

Aber ihr wisst, der Bibeltext, das Zeugnis geht noch weiter.

But you know, the Bible text, the testimony goes even further.

Wir lesen die Verse 3 und 4.

We read verses 3 and 4.

Doch einen Vorwurf muss ich dir machen, stellt Jesus hier fest.

But I must make one accusation against you, Jesus notes here.

Du liebst mich nicht mehr so wie am Anfang.

You don't love me the way you did at the beginning anymore.

Erinnerst du dich nicht, wie es damals war?

Don't you remember how it was back then?

Wie weit hast du dich davon entfernt?

How far have you moved away from it?

Kehr um und handle wieder so wie am Anfang.

Turn around and act again as you did at the beginning.

Wenn du nicht dich umkehrst, werde ich mich gegen dich wenden und deinen Platz von seinem Leuchter stoßen.

If you do not turn back, I will turn against you and knock your place from its chandelier.

Ich habe gedacht, wow, was ist das denn für ein Kontrast?

I thought, wow, what a contrast that is!

Auf der einen Seite wird die Gemeinde gelobt und gesagt, was sie alles gut macht, dass sie unterwegs ist,

On one hand, the community is praised and told how well it is doing, that it is on the right track,

dass sie sich richtig einbringt und engagiert.

that she contributes properly and is committed.

Und auf der anderen Seite so eine Abfuhr, so eine Ansage, so nach dem Motto,

And on the other side such a rejection, such a statement, something along the lines of,

ja, du bist stets bemüht, aber im Endeffekt ist alles Mist.

Yes, you are always striving, but in the end, everything is crap.

Die Gemeinde leistet doch ganz offensichtlich einen ordentlichen Einsatz.

The community is obviously putting in a proper effort.

Es wird sich an allen Stellen eingebracht.

It will be brought in everywhere.

Es werden die Gemeindestunden aktiv nach vorne gebracht.

The community hours are being actively brought forward.

Die Gemeinde hat das Umfeld der Gemeinde im Blick.

The community is focused on the surroundings of the community.

Die sozialdiakonischen Dienste werden in keiner Weise vernachlässigt.

The social diaconal services are not neglected in any way.

Und die persönlichen Beziehungen der Gemeindemitglieder, das, was ja der Auftrag von Jesus an uns ist,

And the personal relationships of the community members, which is indeed the mission given to us by Jesus,

sein Evangelium zu den Menschen zu bringen, das läuft, das funktioniert.

To bring his gospel to the people, that runs, that works.

Die Gemeinde hat das Umfeld im Blick.

The community has the environment in mind.

Man ist an den Mitmenschen in der Stadt dran.

One is connected to the fellow human beings in the city.

Man kennt Sorgen, Probleme, Herausforderungen.

One knows worries, problems, challenges.

Und man hat Angebote, Lösungen, weiß ich nicht.

And they have offers, solutions, I don't know.

Aber man ist an den Leuten dran.

But you are in touch with the people.

Die Gemeinde leistet offensichtlich einen rastlosen Einsatz.

The community is obviously making a tireless effort.

Sie sind immer unterwegs, sie bewegen alles Mögliche, sie tun viel.

They are always on the move, they move all kinds of things, they do a lot.

Sie leisten einen rastlosen Einsatz.

They make an tireless effort.

Und trotzdem fehlt Jesus etwas.

And yet something is missing from Jesus.

Was ist denn das, was Jesus hier sagt?

What is it that Jesus is saying here?

Was ist denn das, was er hier anspricht, wo er sagt, pass mal auf, das ist nicht in Ordnung?

What is it that he is addressing here when he says, look, this is not right?

Was ist dieser Mangel, was Jesus anspricht, dieses Diffuse, das Unscharfe?

What is this deficiency that Jesus addresses, this diffuse, indistinct quality?

Worum geht es denn, Jesus, bitteschön?

What is it about, Jesus, please?

Was ist denn das Problem, Jesus, was du hast?

What is the problem, Jesus, that you have?

Vielleicht könnte man aus Blick der Gemeinde sagen,

Perhaps one could say from the perspective of the community,

Herr Jesus, offensichtlich leisten wir doch gut, offensichtlich sind wir doch unterwegs.

Lord Jesus, apparently we are doing well, apparently we are on our way.

Wir tun doch alles, wir sind doch in allen Richtungen unterwegs.

We are doing everything, we are moving in all directions.

Wo bitte ist denn dein Problem mit uns?

What is your problem with us, please?

Was ist denn das Problem?

What is the problem?

Diese Fragestellung bewegt auch viele Ausleger, die sich hierzu Gedanken gemacht haben.

This question also concerns many interpreters who have thought about it.

Und ich möchte ein paar verschiedene Ansichten zu diesem, was denn dieses erste Verliebtsein ist, mit euch kurz durchdenken.

And I would like to briefly consider a few different perspectives on what this first love is with you.

Eine typische Aussage ist, dass man sagt, es geht um dieses klassische erste Verliebtsein.

A typical statement is that one says it is about this classic first love.

Also die Zeit der Schmetterlinge im Bauch, wenn man so, wie man sagt, so richtig verknallt ist.

So the time of butterflies in the stomach when you are, as they say, really in love.

Also wenn man am Anfang,

Well, if at the beginning,

in einer Beziehung zwischen einem Mann und einer Frau, wenn man es damit vergleicht,

in a relationship between a man and a woman, when compared to that,

dieses Verliebtsein, diese Zeit der überschwänglichen Gefühle.

this feeling of being in love, this time of exuberant emotions.

Der Orientale, also der, an dem dieser Brief geschrieben ist, in diesem Umfeld, wo der Brief geschrieben ist,

The Oriental, namely the one to whom this letter is addressed, in this context where the letter is written,

würde das wahrscheinlich gar nicht so verstehen.

would probably not understand it that way at all.

Denn im Orient ist es so, dass es nicht eine lange Zeit vor der Hochzeit zum Kennenlernen gibt,

Because in the East, there is not a long time before the wedding for getting to know each other,

sondern im besten Falle organisieren die Eltern das Umfeld, die Hochzeit und du lernst deinen Ehepartner,

but in the best case, the parents organize the environment, the wedding, and you meet your spouse.

im besten oder im schlechtesten Fall, je nachdem, wie man es nimmt, am Tag deiner Hochzeit kennen.

in the best or worst case, depending on how you look at it, on the day of your wedding.

Also das ist kein Merkmal, was der Leser in Ephesus hier verstehen würde.

So this is not a characteristic that the reader in Ephesus would understand here.

Es geht also nicht um die überschwänglichen Gefühle am Anfang einer Liebesbeziehung.

It's not about the exuberant feelings at the beginning of a romantic relationship.

Mancher Ausleger sieht hier in diesem Vorwurf von Jesus, den er ja tatsächlich macht,

Some commentators see in this accusation from Jesus, which he indeed makes,

an die Gemeinde, dass Jesus sagt der Gemeinde, liebe Gemeinde, ihr seid irgendwie apathisch,

to the congregation, that Jesus says to the congregation, dear congregation, you are somewhat apathetic,

ihr seid träge geworden.

You have become sluggish.

Aber das kann ja auch nicht sein, denn Jesus bescheinigt der Gemeinde ja, dass sie unterwegs ist,

But that cannot be the case, because Jesus acknowledges that the church is on the way.

dass sie aktiv ist, dass sie sich einbringt, dass sie Gas gibt, dass sie fleißig ist und sich Mühe macht.

that she is active, that she gets involved, that she gives her all, that she is diligent and puts in effort.

An anderer Stelle wird dieses interpretiert als eine mangelnde Liebe untereinander, mangelnde Liebe füreinander.

Elsewhere, this is interpreted as a lack of love for one another, a lack of love for each other.

Andere Ausleger sehen hier eine fehlende Bereitschaft zur Evangelisation.

Other commentators see a lack of willingness for evangelization here.

Dieser Ausdruck, du hast deine erste Liebe verlassen, wie andere Übersetzungen das wiedergeben,

This expression, you have left your first love, how other translations convey it,

könnte sich natürlich auch einfach auf die Person beziehen, also auf die Person der ersten Liebe, auf Jesus.

It could, of course, simply refer to the person, namely the person of the first love, Jesus.

Was meine ich damit?

What do I mean by that?

Ich war und ich bin nach wie vor von Jesus begeistert.

I was and I am still excited about Jesus.

Am Anfang, wo ich mich persönlich entschieden habe, mit Jesus unterwegs zu sein, war aber die Begeisterung größer.

At the beginning, when I personally decided to walk with Jesus, the enthusiasm was greater.

Ich habe überlegt, was würde denn Jesus jetzt an meiner Stelle machen?

I have been thinking, what would Jesus do in my place?

Wo würde er sich jetzt einbringen?

Where would he contribute now?

Was ist das, was Jesus jetzt an meiner Stelle machen würde?

What is it that Jesus would do in my place right now?

Und ich muss mittlerweile sagen, ist das nicht mehr ganz so.

And I must say by now, it is no longer quite so.

Also am Anfang war Jesus im Zentrum von dem, was ich überlegt habe zu tun.

So at the beginning, Jesus was at the center of what I was considering doing.

Und mittlerweile ist Jesus irgendwie nicht mehr im Zentrum.

And in the meantime, Jesus is somehow no longer at the center.

Er ist irgendwie, ich weiß nicht, also nicht mehr im Zentrum.

He is somehow, I don't know, not at the center anymore.

Es gibt.

There is.

Es gibt andere Sachen, die auch im Zentrum stehen, die meine Aufmerksamkeit wollen.

There are other things that are also at the center, that want my attention.

Wir haben eben Lieder gesungen, dass Jesus im Zentrum steht, dass er das Zentrum ist,

We just sang songs that Jesus is at the center, that he is the center.

dass wir von ihm leben, durch ihn leben, dass er einfach das A und O ist, wie man so sagt.

that we live from him, live through him, that he is simply the be-all and end-all, as they say.

Aber offensichtlich, zumindest wenn ich mich selbst betrachte, ist es doch so,

But obviously, at least when I reflect on myself, it is indeed so,

dass mit der Zeit Jesus aus dem Zentrum heraus rückt, dass Jesus nicht mehr im Fokus steht.

that over time Jesus moves out of the center, that Jesus is no longer in focus.

Er ist nicht mehr im Fokus.

He is no longer in focus.

Also mit der Zeit kann sich das verändern.

So over time, that can change.

Und ich weiß nicht, ob es euch auch so geht, aber wenn es bei mir so ist, dann bin ich doch immer noch Christ, oder?

And I don't know if it's the same for you, but if it is for me, then I'm still a Christian, right?

Auch wenn Jesus nicht mehr in meinem offiziellen oder in meinem Fokus, in meinem Zentrum steht.

Even if Jesus is no longer in my official or in my focus, in my center.

Ich bin doch immer noch Christ.

I am still a Christian.

Ich bringe mich doch immer noch in die Gemeinde ein.

I am still contributing to the community.

Ich bin doch immer noch aktiv.

I am still active.

Man engagiert sich doch immer noch in der Gemeinde.

One is still committed to the community.

So wie die Epheser.

Just like the Ephesians.

Man verliert ein bisschen das, worum es eigentlich geht aus dem Fokus.

One loses a bit the focus on what it is actually about.

Das Warum ist nicht mehr ganz klar.

The why is no longer quite clear.

Und man hält vielleicht so wie bei den Ephesern den Betrieb am Laufen.

And perhaps one keeps the operation running, just like with the Ephesians.

Ich stelle mir das ein bisschen so vor wie beim Fahrradfahren.

I imagine it a bit like riding a bike.

Ich glaube, das ist ein Beispiel, was jeder kennt.

I believe this is an example that everyone knows.

Du trittst in die Pedale und du kannst die Kraft deiner Beine mit der Kette auf das Hinterrad,

You pedal and you can transfer the strength of your legs through the chain to the rear wheel,

die Kraft deiner Beine mit der Kette auf das Hinterrad übertragen.

Transfer the power of your legs to the rear wheel with the chain.

Und es geht vorwärts.

And it moves forward.

Aber was ist, wenn die Kette abspringt?

But what if the chain comes off?

Wenn die Kette nicht mehr an der richtigen Stelle ist?

What if the chain is no longer in the right place?

Wenn die Kraft nicht mehr übertragen wird?

When the power is no longer transmitted?

Solange du in dem Moment, wenn die Kette abgeht, bergab fährst, merkst du es vielleicht gar nicht.

As long as you are going downhill at the moment the chain comes off, you might not even notice it.

Du stellst fest, ja, irgendwie ist irgendwas ein bisschen komisch, aber es geht ja noch vorwärts.

You notice that, yes, somehow something is a bit strange, but it's still moving forward.

Aber was ist, wenn die Kette ab ist und es bergauf geht?

But what if the chain is off and it's uphill?

Du trittst in die Pedale und du kannst die Kraft deiner Beine mit der Kette auf das Hinterrad übertragen.

You pedal, and you can transfer the power of your legs through the chain to the rear wheel.

Du trittst ins Leere und es rollt irgendwann rückwärts.

You step into the void, and at some point, it rolls backward.

Das ist beim Fahrradfahren eine, ja, möchte sagen, eine blöde Situation.

Die Kette ist ab und man tritt weiter.

The chain is off and you keep on walking.

Und wie gesagt, wenn es bergab geht, fällt es vielleicht erst mal gar nicht auf.

And as I said, if things go downhill, it might not be noticeable at first.

Ich habe den Eindruck, dass dieses Bild von der Kette auch ein bisschen so die Gemeindelandschaft in Deutschland bei uns irgendwie beschreibt.

I have the impression that this image of the chain also somewhat describes the community landscape in Germany in our case.

Es gibt, wenn man Gemeinden und Kirchen anschaut, jede Menge guter Aktionen, Aktivitäten.

There are plenty of good actions and activities when looking at communities and churches.

Es wird versucht, Gemeinden nach vorne zu bringen.

Efforts are being made to promote communities.

Man könnte sagen, es gibt ein vorbildliches Engagement der Gemeinden und Kirchen.

One could say there is exemplary commitment from the communities and churches.

Aber wenn man auf die Mitgliederzahlen guckt, stellt man fest, es geht rückwärts.

But when you look at the membership numbers, you realize it's going backwards.

Und das vielleicht sogar manchmal schneller, wie am lieb ist.

And perhaps even sometimes faster than one would like.

Und man setzt sich hin und überlegt alle paar Jahre oder Monate oder wann auch immer, was können wir eigentlich machen, damit wir diesen Trend aufhalten?

And one sits down and thinks every few years or months or whenever, what can we actually do to stop this trend?

Was können wir machen?

What can we do?

Damit Gemeinde wieder attraktiver wird, damit unser Engagement einfach auch wieder Früchte trägt.

So that the community becomes attractive again and our commitment bears fruit again.

Die Kette fehlt vielleicht an der richtigen Stelle.

The chain might be missing in the right place.

Was ist, wenn die Kette auf einmal in deiner Hand ist und nicht mehr an deinem Fahrrad?

What if the chain is suddenly in your hand and no longer on your bike?

Was ist, wenn die Kette nicht mehr an der richtigen Stelle ist und du deine Kraft nicht mehr übertragen kannst?

What if the chain is no longer in the right place and you can't transfer your power anymore?

Es gibt Situationen, bringt es einfach nichts.

There are situations where it just doesn't help.

Noch schneller.

Even faster.

Noch fester, noch mehr in die Pedalen zu treten.

Pedal even harder, push even more.

Was ist, wenn die Religion lebt, aber Jesus fehlt?

What if religion is alive, but Jesus is missing?

Wenn Jesus nicht mehr im Mittelpunkt steht?

What if Jesus is no longer at the center?

Und das vielleicht, obwohl es vielleicht in Ephesus, bei uns ist das ja nicht so, aber vielleicht, dass es in Ephesus sogar attraktive Gottesdienste gab.

And perhaps that’s the case, even though it may not be so for us, but perhaps there were even attractive services in Ephesus.

Wenn die richtigen Lieder gesungen worden sind, wenn das richtige Glaubensbekenntnis da war, wenn der Gottesdienst einfach auch im Ganzen super war,

When the right songs have been sung, when the right confession of faith was present, when the service was simply great overall,

aber die Kette nicht an der richtigen Stelle ist.

but the chain is not in the right place.

Nun, wie komme ich darauf?

Well, how do I come to that?

Es geht ja heute auch ein bisschen um das Thema, das Ende der Rastlosigkeit.

Wie komme ich darauf?

How do I get to that?

Ich habe mir im Vorfeld da meine Gedanken gemacht und habe den Eindruck gehabt, das Gefühl gehabt, dass Rastlosigkeit ja auch daherkommt,

I had thought about it in advance and had the impression, the feeling that restlessness also comes from that,

wenn man ein Ziel versucht zu erreichen und sich abmüht und man dieses Ziel nicht erreicht.

when one tries to achieve a goal and struggles, and does not reach that goal.

Dann setzt man sich einfach ein bisschen mehr in Bewegung.

Then you just get a little more active.

Man versucht mit irgendwie mehr Aktivität, mit anderen.

One tries to engage more with others in some way.

Man steigert die Aktivitäten, vielleicht so wie auch die Gemeinde in Ephesus.

One increases activities, perhaps just like the community in Ephesus.

Intensiver in die Pedale treten und es passiert immer noch nichts.

Pedal harder and still nothing happens.

Zumindest ist Jesus nicht zufrieden.

At least Jesus is not satisfied.

Eine solche Rastlosigkeit, die keine überzeugenden Ergebnisse bringt, kommt vielleicht daher,

Such restlessness, which brings no convincing results, may stem from,

weil Jesus eben das oder wie er das beschreibt, indem er sagt,

because Jesus describes it like this or how he describes it, saying,

du hast die erste Liebe verloren oder verlassen.

You have lost or left your first love.

Vielleicht, weil Jesus nicht mehr im Zentrum steht.

Maybe because Jesus is no longer at the center.

Vielleicht auch theologisch nicht mehr im Zentrum steht, er aus dieser Mitte herausgerückt ist.

Jesus, schauen wir auf ihn, mahnt zwei Dinge an.

Also es gibt Dinge oder Situationen in Beziehungen, wo man falsch abgebogen ist.

So there are things or situations in relationships where one has taken a wrong turn.

Jesus nennt diese Möglichkeit, das zu korrigieren, Umkehr.

Jesus calls this opportunity to correct oneself, repentance.

Die Möglichkeit, das zu korrigieren, ist das, was Jesus umgekehrt.

The possibility to correct that is what Jesus reversed.

Darüber reden mit Gott.

Und vielleicht auch mit Menschen.

Vielleicht ist es auch eine Verletzung, die dir angetan worden ist, was dir passiert ist.

Etwas, wo du vielleicht jetzt einfach nochmal ganz neu Jesus um Heilung bitten darfst.

Nicht heil wird.

Vielleicht bist du aber auch zornig und beleidigt.

Und vielleicht sogar zu Recht.

Vielleicht, weil irgendjemand hier in diesem Raum oder die Gemeinde insgesamt oder wer auch immer dich verletzt hat.

Maybe because someone here in this room or the community as a whole or whoever has hurt you.

Dir ist Unrecht widerfahren.

You have been wronged.

Irgendwas.

Something.

Umkehr heißt, endlich vielleicht auf diese Menschen zuzugehen,

Repentance means, perhaps finally approaching these people.

denen du im Inneren immer noch Vorwürfe machst und ihnen eine Chance zu geben,

eine neue Chance zu geben, zu zeigen,

und eine feste Zeit zu blocken, wo drin steht, ich und Jesus.

Sich wirklich einen Termin im Kalender eintragen.

Actually schedule an appointment in the calendar.

Versucht doch mal diesen Vorwurf, den Jesus hier an die Gemeinde richtet.

Try to consider this accusation that Jesus directs at the congregation.

Du liebst mich nicht mehr so wie am Anfang, nicht als Vorwurf zu sehen,

You don't love me the way you used to at the beginning anymore, don't see it as an accusation.

sondern als etwas, wo Jesu Herz blutet, wo er sagt,

but as something where Jesus' heart bleeds, where he says,

hey, ich würde gerne wieder viel mehr Gemeinschaft mit dir haben.

Hey, I would like to have much more community with you again.

Ich möchte wieder Beziehung mit dir haben.

I want to be in a relationship with you again.

Ich möchte gerne wissen, was bei dir los ist.

I would like to know what's going on with you.

Du liebst mich nicht mehr so wie am Anfang.

You don't love me the way you did at the beginning anymore.

Und er möchte mehr Aufmerksamkeit von dir haben.

And he wants more attention from you.

Er wünscht sich mehr Zeit, mit dir zu verbringen,

He wishes to spend more time with you.

wieder mehr geliebt zu werden.

to be loved again more.

Wir lesen, dass Jesus die Liebe in Person ist,

We read that Jesus is love in person,

sagt uns die Bibel und bezeugt das.

Und er sehnt sich auf die Antwort seiner Liebe von uns.

And he longs for the answer of his love from us.

Jesus möchte gerne...

Jesus would like to...

von uns ein Feedback haben auf das, was er investiert in diese Beziehung.

Und es ist ihm nicht egal, wenn ich, wenn du irgendwo falsch abgebogen seid,

wenn die Beziehung von dir und Jesus erkaltet ist.

Es ist ihm nicht egal.

He doesn't care.

Er will wieder mehr mit dir zu tun haben.

Ich glaube, das ist es, was Jesus hier meint.

lebt und ist abhängig von dieser Beziehung zu Jesus.

Die Epheser haben mit ihrem unermüdlichen Einsatz,

mit ihren Aktionen und Aktivitäten, was sie gemacht haben,

gibt es bestimmt viele Strategien, Möglichkeiten, Ideen.
