Was würdest du denn sagen, war so die stärkste Veränderung oder Marktentwicklung, an die du dich erinnern kannst?

Ja, was hat sich in den letzten Jahren auf dem Markt getan? Ich glaube, das, was am prägnantesten ist, ist dieser Paradigmenwechsel Remote-Arbeitsplätze. Das hat ja in der IT-Relativ oder in der IT-Arbeitswelt relativ viel verändert. Das heißt, da mussten ja ganz neue Herausforderungen gelöst werden. Das schwierigste Thema dabei war tatsächlich das Thema Sicherheit. Hier mussten wir, glaube ich, alle aufrüsten, weil den Arbeitsplatz dann wirklich in alle Welt zu verlegen ist ja nicht ohne bei dem Thema.

Yes, what has happened in the market in recent years? I believe the most striking change is this paradigm shift to remote workplaces. This has significantly changed the IT industry or the IT working world. That means completely new challenges had to be addressed. The most difficult issue here was actually security. I think we all had to upgrade because moving the workplace to all corners of the world is not without its challenges in this area.

Aber das war, glaube ich, so das Schwierigste und das, was wir am schnellsten meistern mussten in dem Bereich.

But I think that was the most difficult part and what we had to master the quickest in that area.

Sonst hat sich natürlich im Cloud Computing, Hybrid Cloud Bereich ziemlich viel getan.

Of course, a lot has happened in the cloud computing and hybrid cloud area.

Das heißt, auch da mussten wir lernen, wie wir aus dem Rechenzentrum im Keller ein hybrides Szenario machen,

weil diese Multiscaler-Strategie, alles in die Cloud zu verlegen, ist ja nicht aufgegangen.

Because this multiscaler strategy of moving everything to the cloud has not worked out.

Tatsächlich ist es im SMB-Markt eher so, dass wir diese hybriden Szenarien da mehr fahren.

Und da mussten wir uns natürlich selber ausbilden, weiterbilden,

Ja, tatsächlich das Thema Ausbildung, also in dem speziellen Fall verbunden mit der Pandemie war es natürlich das Thema Verfügbarkeit. Das hat ja über allem gestrahlt, aber viele Geräte kamen ja gar nicht mehr rein ins Land und dadurch haben wir mehr mit Verfügbarkeiten gekämpft. Als ich das allerdings etwas gelegt hatte, war relativ klar ersichtlich, wir müssen unsere Mitarbeiter und Schulen, wir müssen unsere

Also es gibt ja auch viele Leute, die wirklich dann sagen, so wie ich immer gearbeitet habe, so will ich auch weiterarbeiten und ich bin eben nicht offen für eine Veränderung entsprechend der aktuellen Umstände. Das ist dann natürlich auch immer schwierig. Würdest du denn sagen, es sind tendenziell mehr Leute, die eben an ihren Gewohnheiten festhalten oder tendenziell mehr Leute, die dann auch offen für Veränderungen so sind?

Yes, definitely. There are also many people who really say that the way I have always worked is how I want to continue working, and I am simply not open to change according to the current circumstances. That can always be difficult. Would you say that there tend to be more people who hold onto their habits or tend to be more people who are open to change?

Ich würde sagen, bei uns haben wir tatsächlich erstaunlich viele Leute, die offen für Veränderungen sind, was aber sehr besonders ist, muss man sagen.

I would say that we actually have quite a surprising number of people who are open to change, which is very special, one must say.

Also wenn ich die direkt verbundenen Unternehmen, unsere Lieferanten, Hersteller betrachte, die haben deutlich mehr Schwierigkeiten.

Well, if I look at the directly connected companies, our suppliers, manufacturers, they are facing significantly more difficulties.

Also wir hatten ja das Thema einmal im technischen Bereich, jetzt haben wir das nach der Pandemie im vertrieblichen Bereich, zum Homeoffice, im Sales-Bereich, dann halt jetzt wieder auf die Straße oder vor Ort zu gehen.

So we previously discussed the topic in the technical field, and now we have it in the sales area following the pandemic, regarding home office, in the sales sector, and now it’s about going back out on the street or being on-site again.

Das ist ja auch wieder ein Paradigmenwechsel für die Leute, sich gerade daran gewöhnt, wir müssen sie jetzt wieder in die andere Richtung biegen.

That's another paradigm shift for the people, who have just gotten used to it; we now have to bend them back in the other direction.

Ja.

Yes.

Da haben sich sehr, sehr viele schwer mitgetan.

Many people had a really hard time with that.

Wir haben uns da jetzt auch nicht leicht mitgetan, das kann man nicht sagen,

We haven't had an easy time with that, you can't say that.

aber deutlich leichter als ähnliche Unternehmen.

but clearly easier than similar companies.

Okay. Ja, aber eben, wenn man sich halt erstmal an das eine gewöhnt hat,

Okay. Yes, but you know, once you get used to one thing,

das braucht ja auch immer so seine Zeit.

That always takes some time, too.

Und wenn man sich dann wieder direkt zurückgewöhnen muss,

also das ist nicht so leicht, wie es eigentlich gesagt ist.

Und ich meine, das war ja bei uns allen auch im privaten Bereich genauso,

dass man sich erstmal wieder daran gewöhnen musste, unter Menschen zu gehen

und auch diesen direkten Kontakt miteinander zu pflegen.

Also eigentlich diese selbstverständlichsten Sachen,

die dann aber gar nicht mehr so selbstverständlich waren

durch diese schwierige Zeit auch.

Und wenn es halt im Privaten schon so schwierig war,

wieso sollte es dann beruflich anders sein?

Also es ist ja ganz klar, dass das auch so seine Zeit braucht,

Aber du beschäftigst dich ja auch mit dem Einkauf von IT-Produkten.

Welche Strategien verfolgst du denn da genau, um wirklich sicherstellen zu können, dass unsere Partner auch wirklich die besten Angebote erhalten?

What strategies are you specifically pursuing to ensure that our partners truly receive the best offers?

Das Wichtigste, würde ich sagen, ist das Partner- und Lieferantenmanagement. Also ich glaube, wir müssen starke Beziehungen aufbauen. Wir setzen da sehr viel Wert drauf. Also ich setze da persönlich auch sehr viel Wert drauf, dass wir wirklich eine Win-Win-Beziehung mit unseren Lieferanten und Herstellern aufbauen, dass beide Seiten tatsächlich ein skalierbares Modell entwickeln, wo beide auch was von haben.

The most important thing, I would say, is partner and supplier management. I believe we need to build strong relationships. This is something we place a lot of value on. Personally, I also place a lot of value on building a true win-win relationship with our suppliers and manufacturers, where both sides actually develop a scalable model that benefits both.

und das auch pflegen.

Das darf man nicht unterschätzen.

That must not be underestimated.

Das eine ist, wir bauen das einmal auf,

One thing is, we will set this up once,

aber das andere ist,

but the other thing is,

um wirklich gute Verhandlungsergebnisse zu erzielen,

brauchen wir vertrauensvolle Bindungen mit den Parteien.

We need trusting relationships with the parties.

Und das muss halt wirklich geflogen werden.

And that really needs to be flown.

Das ist wie eine Netzwerkpflege.

Das ist ein regelmäßiger Bedarf, der dahinter steht.

There is a regular demand behind it.

Und den erfüllen wir und damit bauen wir dann halt natürlich
