Sieben Personen sitzen fest in einer Art Höhle.

So könnte man die Situation beschreiben in Richard Oemanns neuem Hörspiel Bahnuntergangsstimmung.

This is how one could describe the situation in Richard Oemann's new radio play Train Crash Mood.

Aber vielleicht ist das alles auch ganz anders.

Fest steht, Richard Oemann sitzt mir gegenüber und wir sind verabredet zu einem Gespräch über Bahnuntergangsstimmung.

Also irgendetwas ist passiert, aber was jetzt eigentlich genau?

Also in dem Hörspiel ist ein scheinbar sehr konkreter Anlass, nämlich eine Steinschlagwarnung findet statt.

Und da gibt es verschiedene Kräfte, die da auftreten.

Da kann man aus dem Stand sagen, na, das stimmt nicht.

Also es wird gleich mal gegengefragt, ob das überhaupt stimmt.

Ich weiß es bis heute nicht, ob der wirklich stattgefunden hat.

Personen unterschiedlichster Art, die sich da zufällig auf dem Land vor einer Bahnunterführung befinden, aus verschiedenen Gründen.

Eine joggt, zwei hocken am Weiher umeinander und ratschen, zwei machen sauber.

One is jogging, two are squatting by the pond chatting, and two are cleaning up.

Also es gibt Menschen, die gerne sauber machen und dann die freiwillig, ohne dass irgendjemand sie darum bittet,

So there are people who like to clean and then do it voluntarily, without anyone asking them to.

zum Beispiel Aufkleber wegkratzen von irgendwelchen Verkehrstafeln.

for example, scraping stickers off any traffic signs.

Und eine übt Klarinette im Hintergrund.

And someone is playing the clarinet in the background.

Wo befinden wir uns?

Where are we?

Ich habe keine Ahnung, wo.

Es ist wahrscheinlich irgendein oberbayerischer Platz, also ein Weiher und eine Bahnunterführung.

It is probably some square in Upper Bavaria, so a pond and a railway underpass.

Und ein Gleis ist daneben, ist direkt daneben.

And there is a track next to it, it is right next to it.

Natürlich, wenn eine Unterführung ist, dann muss auch ein Gleis natürlich auch irgendwo sein.

Die Warum-Frage kann man noch stellen. Warum sind die Menschen da?

Also warum sie da sind, die sind alle aus Freizeitgründen da.

So why they are there, they are all there for recreational reasons.

Okay, womit vielleicht klar geworden ist, das Konzept durch Fragen und Antworten,

ein Geschehen ist, einen Sachverhalt zu verstehen, funktioniert heute nicht mehr zwangsläufig.

in Form einer Geschichte, eines Hörspiels?

Also es ist ja natürlich, das Thema Fake News ist ja gerade sowieso sehr präsent.

So it is of course natural, the topic of fake news is very present right now.

Und mich hat es zum Beispiel sehr fasziniert, dass zum Beispiel der Trump schon bei seiner Einschwörung sagt,

das war die größte Einschwörungsveranstaltung aller Zeiten.

That was the biggest indoctrination event of all time.

Und dann haben alle hinterher gesagt, nein, das stimmt nicht, das ist ein Schmarrn.

Und man hat noch gelacht, weil es so deppert war und auch so kindisch war.

And they laughed because it was so stupid and also so childish.

Aber dann hat man festgestellt, das hat er vier Jahre durchgehalten.

Also diese Wahrheitsvernebelung, einfach irgendwas anders behaupten.

So this distortion of the truth, just claiming something else.

Und er ist ja damit irgendwie durchgekommen.

And he somehow got away with it.

Also er ist eine einzige Abrissbirne für die Tatsachen dieser Welt.

So he is a wrecking ball for the facts of this world.

Und das war so grundsätzlich schon mal so ein erstes Warnsignal, was jetzt noch alles kommen könnte.

And that was basically a first warning signal of what could still come.

Und dann war 2020, da war Corona ist dahergekommen.

And then it was 2020, when Corona came along.

Und da hat es dann diese Corona-Leugner-Demo gegeben in Berlin im August 2020.

And then there was this corona denier demonstration in Berlin in August 2020.

Und da haben die offiziellen Stellen gesagt, da sind 40.000 Leute.

And the official authorities said that there are 40,000 people there.

Und normalerweise sagen dann die Veranstalter, es waren aber 50.000.

And usually the organizers say, but there were 50,000.

Dann kann man damit sehr zufrieden sein.

Then one can be very satisfied with it.

Jetzt hat aber danach irgendjemand gepostet, er hat ein Bild von der Love Parade aus den 90ern gepostet und hat gesagt, das waren 1,3 Millionen.

But then someone posted afterwards, they posted a picture from the Love Parade in the 90s and said that there were 1.3 million people.

Und das ist jetzt schon faszinierend frech.

And that is already incredibly cheeky.

Und es gibt wahrscheinlich immer noch Leute und nicht nur die allerblödesten unter den Querdenkern, die glauben, das waren wirklich 1,3 Millionen Leute.

And there are probably still people, not just the absolute dumbest among the contrarians, who believe that it was truly 1.3 million people.

Und vielleicht gibt es auch irgendwann mal Historiker, die sich das anschauen und die dann herausfinden wollen,

And perhaps there will someday be historians who will look into this and who will want to find out,

wie viel waren es denn eigentlich damals auf dieser Querdenker-Demo.

How many people were there actually at that protest of the lateral thinkers back then?

Und sie werden vielleicht nicht mehr.

And they may not anymore.

Vernünftige Quellen bekommen, wie viel es denn eigentlich waren.

Get reasonable sources to find out how much it actually was.

Und das hat mich fasziniert, dass einfach nichts mehr stimmt.

And that fascinated me, that simply nothing is right anymore.

Es sind zwei Figuren.

Du hast sie charakterisiert als die Saubermacher.

Der Herr Traxeneder und der Herr Quedlitz-Dumont, wenn ich es richtig im Kopf habe.

Die als arge Spießer charakterisiert sind auch.

Und als zwei Menschen, die alles in Frage stellen.

Also es ist ein Typus, der gerne einem etwas erklärt,

Und das ist nicht unbedingt der sympathischste Typus.

Vielleicht haben sie auch irgendwie eines Tages mal total recht gehabt.

Und es ist ja auch nicht so, dass es nicht auch mal Verschwörungen gäbe,

Aber gleichzeitig finde ich auch interessant,

Und das habe ich dann kombiniert zusammen mit den Bescheidwissern.

Zu sagen, ah, da muss wohl ein Gerücht in die Welt gesetzt werden

und das soll kursieren und ich habe da irgendwas davon.

Das würde mich auch interessieren.

Und da muss er erst einmal davon runterkommen.

Jetzt wohnt er in Tansania und was weiß ich, was er macht.

Und das wird dann erfüllt.

Also ihre Vision, wer da dahinter steckt und so weiter,

das stimmt dann alles.

Und die werden dann am Schluss verhaftet und abgeführt

und sie, die beiden Skeptiker, werden Bundespräsident.

So habe ich das zwischendurch dann überlegt,
