Ich hab Karten fürs Coldplay-Konzert, wenn ich in New York bin.

I have tickets for the Coldplay concert when I'm in New York.

Natürlich sind meine Schwester und ich mega neidisch.

Of course, my sister and I are super jealous.

Dazu sind die Karten auch noch relativ günstig, umgerechnet 80 Euro.

The tickets are also relatively inexpensive, costing around 80 euros.

Also wirklich ein Schnäppchen.

So really a bargain.

Die Fotos und Filme meines Bruders bei Insta sind auf jeden Fall super lustig.

My brother's photos and videos on Instagram are definitely super funny.

Lauter junge Leute, die bei Regen zu Coldplay-Musik ausgelassen tanzen.

Loud young people dancing exuberantly to Coldplay music in the rain.

Im Hintergrund ein paar Autos und viel Lachen.

In the background, a few cars and lots of laughter.

So beeindruckt wie ich bin, frage ich mich gar nicht, was die Autos da eigentlich zu suchen haben.

As impressed as I am, I can't help but wonder what the cars are doing there at all.

Mein Bruder erzählt dann, dass er gar nicht auf das Festivalgelände gekommen ist.

My brother then says that he didn't even make it to the festival grounds.

Seine Karten sind leider nur für den Festival-Parkplatz gewesen.

Unfortunately, his tickets were only for the festival parking lot.

Darum der günstige Preis.

That's why the price is favorable.

Vielen anderen ist es dort genauso gegangen.

Many others have experienced the same there.

Aber statt gefrustet zu sein, haben sie eine tolle Party auf dem Parkplatz gefeiert.

But instead of being frustrated, they had a great party in the parking lot.

Sie konnten wirklich gut über sich selbst lachen.

They could really laugh at themselves well.

Die Stimmung war fein, die Musik auch.

The atmosphere was fine, the music too.

Und alle waren der Meinung,

And everyone was of the opinion,

dass man jetzt auch vor Ort zusammen eine gute Zeit haben könnte.

that one could now also have a good time together on site.

Seit der New York-Reise meines Bruders denke ich öfter mal darüber nach,

Since my brother's trip to New York, I've been thinking about it more often.

wo vermute ich eigentlich die besten Partys?

Where do I actually think the best parties are?

Und wo sind sie dann wirklich später?

And where are they actually later?

Wo erwarte ich Glück und Sinn?

Where do I expect happiness and meaning?

Und wie oft finde ich es an ganz anderen Ecken, als ich es gedacht habe?

And how often do I find it in completely different corners than I thought?

Es läuft darauf hinaus, mach die Augen und Herzen auf, denn Gott ist anders.

It comes down to this: open your eyes and hearts, for God is different.
