Mission deines Lebens - Bereit umzudenken?

Wir haben so toll miteinander gebetet und alles. Und ich hatte nichts.

We prayed so wonderfully together and everything. And I had nothing.

Ich hatte nichts dabei. Und ich habe es am Morgen selber noch gesagt, aber ich habe es irgendwie vergessen.

I didn't bring anything. And I said it myself in the morning, but I somehow forgot.

Und jetzt habe ich gesagt, das passiert nicht wieder. Also habe ich vorgesorgt und mich ausgestattet.

And now I said, that won't happen again. So I made preparations and equipped myself.

Ihr Lieben, nehmt die Dinger mit in den Alltag und auch besonders in die nächste Woche.

Letzte Woche war ein spannender Gottesdienst und ein toller Gottesdienst.

Last week was an exciting service and a great service.

Haben mich sehr, sehr gefreut.

Ich habe euch sehr gesagt, ich habe irgendwie danach mitgekriegt, die meisten haben es nicht verstanden.

Wir haben wirklich dreistellig.

Drei Minuten nach Gottesdienststart, um drei Minuten nach zehn morgens,

während schon Bärbel losgeredet hatte und uns begrüßt hatte, haben wir dann entschieden,

Aber es war gut so. Es war genau richtig so.

But it was good this way. It was just right this way.

Gott hat es eigentlich auch im Endeffekt schon vorher zu mir gesagt,

God actually already told me this beforehand, in the end.

nur ich habe es nicht verstanden, weil ich diese Option überhaupt nicht gesehen habe.

I just didn't understand it because I didn't see this option at all.

Okay, aber wir haben ganz kurz trotzdem noch das neue Thema aufgegriffen.

Okay, but we briefly touched on the new topic nonetheless.

Und letzte Woche haben wir damit gestartet, uns diese Bibelstelle anzuschauen.

And last week we started looking at this Bible verse.

Matthäus 9, Vers 35.

Matthew 9:35.

Und hier fasst Matthäus, und das macht er übrigens zweimal, auch schon einmal im vierten Kapitel,

And here Matthew summarizes, and by the way, he does this twice, once in the fourth chapter as well.

und das machen auch die anderen Evangelisten,

and the other evangelists do this as well,

fassen das gesamte Wirken Jesus, all die Jahre, all das, was er tut, in einem Satz zusammen.

Summarize all of Jesus' work, all the years, all that he does, in one sentence.

Und das ist das, was wir hier machen.

And that is what we are doing here.

Und es ist interessant, wenn man dich fragen würde, oder wenn du dich selbst fragst,

And it is interesting when you would be asked, or when you ask yourself,

wenn ich die Botschaft von Jesus in einem Satz zusammenfassen würde, was wäre deine Antwort?

If I were to summarize the message of Jesus in one sentence, what would your answer be?

Ich weiß jetzt, wir wissen ja jetzt schon, was kommt.

I know now, we already know what's coming.

Ich habe es ja letzte Woche schon erzählt, von daher kann ich jetzt diesen Überraschungsmoment gar nicht mehr spielen.

I already mentioned it last week, so I can't really play the surprise moment anymore.

Aber ich glaube, viele von uns würden was anderes sagen, als das, was hier steht.

But I believe many of us would say something different than what is written here.

Also Matthäus 9, Vers 35.

Matthew 9, Verse 35.

Und Jesus durchzog alle Städte und Dörfer, lehrte in ihren Synagogen,

And Jesus went through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues,

verkündigte das Evangelium.

proclaimed the Gospel.

Evangelium vom Reich und heilte Krankheit und jedes Gebrechen im Volk.

Gospel of the kingdom and healed sickness and every disease among the people.

Also was ist die Zusammenfassung?

So what is the summary?

Jesus geht umher, Jesus lebt auf der Erde, Jesus geht in die Synagogen und er predigt das Evangelium,

Jesus wanders around, Jesus lives on Earth, Jesus goes into the synagogues and preaches the Gospel.

das heißt die gute Botschaft und nicht irgendeine vom Reich.

that means the good news and not some from the empire.

Und er heilt die Kranken, das heißt er demonstriert dieses Reich, er predigt dieses Reich,

And he heals the sick, that means he demonstrates this kingdom, he preaches this kingdom,

er demonstriert dieses Reich.

He demonstrates this empire.

Jetzt ist es so, diese Begriffe Reich, Königreich oder vielleicht auch König,

Now it is the case that these terms Reich, Königreich, or perhaps also König,

kann es sein, dass das recht fremde Realitäten für uns sind?

Could it be that these are really foreign realities for us?

Oder ist es was, was in deinem Alltag ständig vorkommt?

Or is it something that happens constantly in your daily life?

Also ich glaube, wir wissen, was ein König und ein Königreich ist.

Well, I think we know what a king and a kingdom are.

Wir haben Bilder, die damit verbunden sind in unserem Kopf.

We have images associated with it in our minds.

Und einige von euch, ihr denkt jetzt an die royale Familien,

And some of you are now thinking about the royal families,

und an die Klatschpresse und es ist echt super spannend, zu erleben oder zu sehen, was da immer passiert.

and to the gossip press, and it's really very exciting to experience or see what always happens there.

Andere von euch, ihr denkt an irgendwelche krassen Mittelalter-Geschichten, an Burgen, an so etwas.

Others of you are thinking of some crazy medieval stories, of castles, of something like that.

Viele von uns haben vielleicht Filme im Kopf und je nachdem, was so unser Geschmack ist,

Many of us might have movies in mind, and depending on our tastes,

die einen haben so dieses blutrünstige Gemetzel und die anderen haben diese absoluten Schnulzen.

Some have this bloodthirsty slaughter and others have these absolute tearjerkers.

Aber das sind unsere Bilder von König und von Königreich.

But these are our images of king and kingdom.

Aber was meint die Bibel damit?

But what does the Bible mean by that?

Und ich glaube, das ist ein bisschen anders.

And I believe it's a bit different.

Die Bibel spricht von dem Reich Gottes, weniger von einem Ort, das ist weniger die Location, als von einer Tätigkeit, von dem Herrschen.

The Bible speaks of the Kingdom of God, less as a place, which is less about the location, than as an activity, about reign.

Also wir könnten auch sagen, wenn wir vom Reich Gottes sprechen, dass wir von der Herrschaft Gottes sprechen.

So we could also say that when we speak of the Kingdom of God, we are speaking of the reign of God.

Es redet von dieser Handlung, diesem Herrschaft.

It speaks of this action, this dominion.

Und die Bibel redet davon schon echt viel, auch im Alten Testament.

And the Bible speaks a lot about it, even in the Old Testament.

Ich möchte euch einen Vers aus Jesaja vorlesen.

I would like to read you a verse from Isaiah.

Oder eigentlich, Entschuldigung, es sind mehr als ein Vers, es sind mehrere Verse.

Or actually, sorry, there is more than one verse, there are several verses.

Jesaja 52, Abvers 5.

Isaiah 52, starting from verse 5.

Nun aber, was geschieht mir denn hier, spricht der Herr, dass mein Volk ohne Entschädigung geraubt wird.

But now, what is happening to me here, says the Lord, that my people are being robbed without compensation?

Seine Beherrscher jauchzen triumphierend, spricht der Herr.

His rulers rejoice triumphantly, says the Lord.

Und was geschieht mir denn hier, spricht der Herr, dass mein Volk ohne Entschädigung geraubt wird.

And what is happening to me here, says the Lord, that my people are being robbed without compensation?

Und mein Name wird beständig gelästert, den ganzen Tag.

And my name is constantly slandered, all day long.

Und jetzt kommt die Antwort.

And now comes the answer.

Darum soll mein Volk meinen Namen kennenlernen, sagt Gott.

Therefore my people shall know my name, says God.

Ja, darum wird es an jenem Tag erkennen, dass ich der bin, welcher spricht, siehe, hier bin ich.

Yes, therefore it will recognize on that day that I am the one who speaks, behold, here I am.

Jetzt kommt dieser bekannte Satz.

Now comes this well-known phrase.

Wie lieblich sind auf den Bergen die Füße des Freudenboten, der Frieden verkündigt.

How lovely on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who announces peace.

Der gute Botschaft bringt, der das Heil verkündigt.

The good news brings, he who proclaims salvation.

Und der zu Zion sagt, dein Gott.

And he who says to Zion, your God.

Herrscht als König.

Reign as king.

Und ihr Lieben, das ist, das, da hier drückt Gott aus, mir ist es nicht egal, wie es meinem Volk geht.

And dear ones, this is where God expresses that it matters to me how my people are doing.

Mir ist nicht egal, wie es dir geht.

I care about how you are doing.

Ich komme, ich bring die Dinge wieder in Ordnung, die sind aus dem Ruder gelaufen.

I'm coming, I'll get things back in order; they've gotten out of hand.

Aber ich komme und ich komme und ich herrsche als König.

But I come and I come and I rule as a king.

Und ihr Lieben, das ist eine, für die Leute, die das gehört haben, ist es die beste Nachricht, die sie kriegen konnten.

And dear ones, for those who have heard it, this is the best news they could have received.

Gott hat uns nicht vergessen.

God has not forgotten us.

Wir sind ihm überhaupt nicht vergessen.

We haven't forgotten him at all.

Wir sind ihm überhaupt nicht egal.

We don't mean anything to him at all.

Er kommt und er richtet seine Herrschaft auf.

He comes and establishes his kingdom.

Und nun kommt Jesus auf die Erde.

And now Jesus comes to the earth.

Und Jesus verkündigt diese Herrschaft Gottes.

And Jesus proclaims this kingdom of God.

Er verkündigt das Reich.

He proclaims the kingdom.

Das ist seine Hauptbotschaft, dass er sagt, das Königreich Gottes oder das Königreich der Himmel im Matthäus-Evangelium ist nah herbeigekommen.

His main message is that he says the Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of Heaven in the Gospel of Matthew has come near.

Aber wisst ihr was?

But do you know what?

Er verkündigt dieses Reich nicht nur, sondern für alle, die richtig hinhören.

He proclaims this kingdom not only for himself but for all those who listen carefully.

Wird auch ganz klar.

Will be very clear as well.

Er ist nicht nur der Bote von diesem Reich.

He is not only the messenger of this realm.

Er selbst ist auch der König.

He himself is also the king.

Und er kommt.

And he is coming.

Er bringt sein Reich mit.

He brings his kingdom with him.

Und was so krass ist, wenn wir uns Jesus anschauen.

And what's so amazing is when we look at Jesus.

Jesus macht immer alles so anders als gedacht.

Jesus always does everything so differently than expected.

Er geht immer gegen den Strom.

He always goes against the tide.

Und Jesus tritt seine Herrschaft an.

And Jesus begins his reign.

Nicht mit Pauken und Trompeten.

Not with drums and trumpets.

Nicht ganz, ganz glorreich.

Not entirely, quite glorious.

Nicht riesig.

Not huge.

Nicht gewaltig.

Not mighty.

Sondern er tritt sie an mit einem Mantel umkleidet.

But he approaches them cloaked in a coat.

Mit einer Dornkrone auf dem Kopf.

With a crown of thorns on the head.

Und er wird erhöht für alle.

And he will be exalted for all.

Und das ist der Moment, wo der König der Welt kommt und seine Herrschaft antritt.

And this is the moment when the King of the World comes and takes his reign.

Und das erste Mal, wo es so richtig klar von außen gesagt wird und sogar geschrieben wird über ihn.

And the first time it is clearly said from the outside and even written about him.

König der Juden.

King of the Jews.

Und das ist der Moment, wo Jesus die Herrschaft annimmt.

And that is the moment when Jesus takes control.

Und seine Art zu herrschen.

And his way of ruling.

Ihr Lieben, die ist so anders als jeder Film, den wir angeguckt haben.

My dear ones, it is so different from any movie we have watched.

Ob es mega schnulzig ist, ob es mega brutal ist.

Whether it is mega cheesy or mega brutal.

Egal, Jesus herrscht total anders.

No matter, Jesus rules completely differently.

Jesus ist gekommen, in einer dienenden, aufopfernden Art zu regieren.

Jesus has come to rule in a serving, self-sacrificing manner.

Aber er ist nicht darin schwach.

But he is not weak in that.

Er ist so anders.

He is so different.

Er ist dienend, er ist aufopfernd, er ist liebevoll.

He is serving, he is self-sacrificing, he is loving.

Aber er ist so stark.

But he is so strong.

Denn er ist nicht nur gestorben, er ist auferstanden.

For he is not only dead, he has risen.

Er hat den Tod besiegt.

He has defeated death.

Er hat Veränderung gebracht.

He has brought change.

Und ihr Lieben, Jesus ist nicht nur gekommen, um uns ganz persönlich irgendwie eine Zukunft oder ein ewiges Leben zu schenken.

And dear ones, Jesus did not come just to give us a future or eternal life in some personal way.

Er ist nicht gekommen, um so einen persönlichen Weg nur in den Himmel zu bahnen.

He did not come to pave such a personal way only to heaven.

Sondern er ist gekommen, um die Welt zu verändern.

But he has come to change the world.

Er sagt, ich bin gekommen, um die Welt zu retten.

He says, I have come to save the world.

Und es ist so wichtig, dass wir die Größe dieses Bildes sehen.

And it is so important that we see the size of this image.

Weil wir so oft nur an uns denken und an unsere Karte.

Because we often only think of ourselves and our card.

Die in den Himmel geht.

The one that goes to heaven.

Aber Jesus' Auftrag war viel, viel größer.

But Jesus' mission was much, much greater.

Er ist gekommen und mit seinem Kommen hat sich die Weltgeschichte verändert.

He has come, and with his coming, world history has changed.

Und das könnten wir nicht sagen, wenn er nicht diesen größeren Auftrag hätte.

And we could not say that if he didn't have this larger assignment.

Wenn er nicht gekommen wäre, um zu sagen, ich will Wiederherstellung bringen.

If he hadn't come to say, I want to bring restoration.

Ich mache alles neu.

I am starting everything anew.

Jesus heißt von den Toten auferstanden und er hat ein neues Leben für uns errungen.

Jesus has risen from the dead and he has won a new life for us.

Er schenkt es uns.

He gives it to us.

Er macht uns zu einer neuen Schöpfung.

He makes us a new creation.

Er hat die Dinge komplett.

He has everything completely.

Er hat die Dinge komplett verändert.

He completely changed things.

Und ihr Lieben, dieses Reich Gottes, seine Herrschaft, sie manifestiert sich immer darin,

And dear ones, this kingdom of God, its reign, always manifests itself in that,

dass wir verstehen, Gott ist zu uns gekommen.

that we understand, God has come to us.

Gott mit uns.

God with us.

Er will uns nah sein.

He wants to be close to us.

Jesus ist Mensch geworden, um uns nah zu sein.

Jesus became human to be close to us.

Das heißt, das Wort wurde Fleisch und wohnte unter uns.

That means, the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.

Gott will bei uns wohnen.

God wants to dwell among us.

Und das seht ihr schon, dieses Motiv sehen wir schon im ganzen Alten Testament.

And you can already see this, we see this motif throughout the entire Old Testament.

Und wir sehen, wie es sich auflöst in der Offenbarung.

And we see how it dissolves in the revelation.

Wenn wir, wenn das Lamm in der Mitte vom neuen Jerusalem wohnen wird.

When we, when the Lamb will dwell in the middle of the new Jerusalem.

Gott wohnt mitten unter uns.

God dwells among us.

Das ist immer schon der Plan, wo es hingeht.

That has always been the plan for where we are going.

Und seine Herrschaft ist verbunden mit dieser Gegenwart.

And his rule is connected with this presence.

Seine Herrschaft ist damit verbunden, dass er wirklich König ist und dass er regiert.

His rule is associated with the fact that he is truly a king and that he governs.

Und ich weiß, dass wir in unserem Westlichen auch sehr individualistischen und unabhängigen denken,

And I know that we in our Western culture also think very individually and independently,

dass wir, dass es sich für uns gar nicht so gemütlich oder so schön anhört, wenn wir von einem König reden.

that it doesn't sound so cozy or so nice to us when we talk about a king.

Wenn wir von einem König reden.

When we talk about a king.

Wenn wir von einem König reden, der in deinem Leben regieren möchte.

When we talk about a king who wants to reign in your life.

Aber ich habe euch eben beschrieben, was das für ein König ist.

But I have just described to you what kind of king that is.

Und dieser König ist es wert, dass wir ihn einladen.

And this king is worth inviting.

Und sagen, sei du der König meines Lebens.

And say, be you the king of my life.

Komm, regier in allen Bereichen meines Lebens.

Come, reign in all areas of my life.

Ich will dich.

I want you.

Ich erwarte dich.

I am waiting for you.

Ich begehre dich.

I desire you.

Ich mache dir Raum.

I make space for you.

Ich unterstelle mich dir.

I submit myself to you.

Und das ist der zweite Aspekt.

And that is the second aspect.

Er ist König.

He is king.

Er regiert.

He rules.

Der dritte Aspekt ist,

The third aspect is,

wir gehören zu seiner königlichen Familie.

We belong to his royal family.

Und er ruft uns dahin, dass wir mitregieren.

And he calls us there to co-govern.

Er verleiht uns.

He lends us.

Er macht uns zu seinen Nachfolgern.

He makes us his successors.

Er verleiht uns Autorität.

He grants us authority.

Er gibt uns ein Erbe.

He gives us an inheritance.

Und wir haben einen Auftrag in dieser Story.

And we have a mission in this story.

Und nun ist dieser König Jesus auf die Erde gekommen.

And now this King Jesus has come to Earth.

Zum ersten Mal.

For the first time.

Und er stellt uns alle vor diese Frage, vor diese Entscheidung.

And he poses this question, this decision, to all of us.

Wollen wir?

Shall we?

Wollen wir seine Gegenwart in unserem Leben?

Do we want his presence in our lives?

Wollen wir seine Herrschaft?

Do we want his rule?

Wollen wir seinem Reich dienen?

Do we want to serve his kingdom?

Wollen wir Teil seiner Familie sein?

Do we want to be part of his family?

Nehmen wir die Mission an?

Shall we accept the mission?

Wird seine Mission, seine Herrschaft zu bringen,

Will bring his mission, his reign,

zu unserer Lebensmission?

to our life mission?

Und wir können da nicht nur eine Frage von mit Ja beantworten.

And we cannot simply answer that with a yes.

Das gehört zusammen.

That belongs together.

Wollen wir das ganze Paket oder wollen wir es nicht?

Do we want the whole package or do we not want it?

Und ich glaube, ich sitze vor Leuten,

And I believe I am sitting in front of people,

die das schon entschieden haben.

those who have already decided.

Oder ich stehe vor Leuten.

Or I stand in front of people.

Ihr sitzt.

You are sitting.

Entschuldigung.

Excuse me.

Ich stehe.

I am standing.

Ich stehe vor euch.

I stand before you.

Und viele von euch, ihr habt es längst entschieden.

And many of you have already made your decision.

Aber es ist, glaube ich, immer wieder wichtig,

But I think it is always important again,

dass wir uns auf das fokussieren, was das Zentrale ist.

that we focus on what is central.

Und das war jetzt ein kurzer ...

And that was just a short ...

Ich wollte kurz so diese Herleitung machen über Jesus als König sprechen.

I wanted to briefly talk about this derivation of Jesus as King.

Damit wir wissen, wovon wir reden.

So that we know what we are talking about.

Und jetzt möchte ich zurückkommen zu der Bibelstelle, wo wir eben waren.

Das ist, als er seinen Dienst startet.

That is when he starts his service.

Tut Buße, denn das Reich der Himmel ist nah herbeigekommen.

Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.

Ich habe früher immer gedacht,

I always used to think,

das bedeutet, ich bitte um Vergebung für alle meine Sünden.

that means I ask for forgiveness for all my sins.

Ich bekomme ewiges Leben, was korrekt ist.

I receive eternal life, which is correct.

Und dann gehöre ich zum Club.

And then I belong to the club.

Zum Club des Reiches.

To the Club of the Empire.

Ich habe wie hier so eine unsichtbare Karte.

I have an invisible card like this here.

Ich bin Member.

I am a member.

Member Card.

Member Card.

Und das ist richtig.

And that is correct.

Wir sind gerufen, Jesus zu sagen, ich habe es nicht drauf.

We are called to tell Jesus, I can't do it.

Ich brauche dich.

I need you.

Ich brauche deine Vergebung.

I need your forgiveness.

Und Jesus schenkt ewiges Leben.

And Jesus gives eternal life.

Aber ihr Lieben, da gibt es so viel mehr als das.

But dear ones, there is so much more than that.

Dieses Reich, von dem Jesus redet.

This kingdom that Jesus speaks of.

Er sagt, dieses Reich ist nahe.

He says this kingdom is near.

Warum sagt er nicht, es ist jetzt hier.

Why doesn't he say it is here now?

Du stehst mittendrin oder sowas.

You're right in the middle of it or something like that.

Weil dieses Reich anders ist als gedacht.

Because this empire is different than expected.

Es ist zu diesem Zeitpunkt ein nicht sichtbares Reich.

At this point, it is an invisible realm.

Und es ist insofern nah gekommen,

And it has come close in that respect,

dass es mit Jesus in deine direkte Reichweite gekommen ist.

that it has come within your direct reach with Jesus.

Du musst keinen Akt mehr vollziehen.

You don't have to perform any act anymore.

Du musst nichts mehr leisten.

You don't have to accomplish anything anymore.

Es ist einfach da.

It is simply there.

Aber es ist nicht sichtbar.

But it is not visible.
