Ich habe gespielt Mario Tennis Aces und zwar war ja kürzlich Olympia und während Olympia war,

Tennis ist so ein Sport, bei dem ich immer dachte, der könnte mir, glaube ich, gefallen.

Jedenfalls habe ich sehr viel Tennis geguckt bei Olympia, fand das super.

Habe damit in der Woche, in der das lief, sehr viel Zeit verbracht.

Und dann dachte ich so, ey, ich würde so gerne jetzt mal ein Tennisspiel spielen.

Und erinnerte mich daran, dass ja Tops bin 2K25.

And reminded me that I'm a top in 2K25.

Und wer weiß, dass ich ja die Basketballspiele von Take-Two nicht mehr spiele, der wird natürlich jetzt aufhorchen und denken, Tops bin 2K25, das klingt ja wie NBA 2K25.

And anyone who knows that I no longer play Take-Two basketball games will certainly perk up and think, "Tops, I'm 2K25, that sounds like NBA 2K25."

Und ich glaube, die Ähnlichkeiten sind vor allen Dingen da, dass es auch super viel Pay-to-Win-Shit gibt.

And I believe the similarities are mainly due to the fact that there is also a lot of pay-to-win crap.

Habe zwei, drei Reviews überflogen, um das zu bestätigen.

I skimmed through two or three reviews to confirm that.

Und dann dachte ich so, nee, darauf habe ich keinen Bock, weil es auch noch recht teuer ist, selbst in Argentinien gerade.

Also habe ich mir das bei Ebay gekauft und das kam letzte Woche an und dann habe ich reingespielt und finde das ganz wunderbar.

So I bought it on Ebay and it arrived last week, and then I played it and think it's simply wonderful.

Weil es natürlich so typisch Mario, so ein bisschen blöd ist.

Because it's just so typical Mario, a bit foolish.

Da kommt dann halt so ein oller Tennisschläger, der will dann alles, der will so die Macht an sich reißen, also kompletter Quatsch.

Then there's just this old tennis player who wants everything, he wants to seize power for himself, total nonsense.

Aber...

But...

Wie im echten Tennis, wie bei Wimbledon letztens.

Like in real tennis, like at Wimbledon recently.

Genau, genau, weiß man ja.

Exactly, exactly, one knows that.

Correct.

Aber wie auch sonst bei anderen Mario-Spielen ist es natürlich so, dass die ziemlich gut funktionieren.

But as with other Mario games, it is of course the case that they work quite well.

Spielmechanisch super cool.

Gameplay-wise super cool.

Dann hast du auch irgendwelche Special-Moves.

Then you also have some special moves.

Hast einen großen Kader an.

You have a large squad.

Figuren, denen du das spielen kannst.

Es gibt sogar Pauline, die ich mal ganz kurz angespielt habe.

Das ist ja auch so eine Sache beim Tennis.

Und das klingt bei dieser Pauline wirklich ein bisschen anstößig, fand ich ein bisschen störend.

Aber als das rauskam, hieß es, dass da so wenig Content am Start ist, dass sich das eigentlich kaum lohnt, so ungefähr.

Und da gab es nicht mal so einen Karrieremodus oder sowas.

And there wasn't even a career mode or anything like that.

Gibt es sowas jetzt da?

Also es gibt keinen klassischen Karrieremodus, aber es gibt einen, das nennt sich Adventure-Modus.

So there is no classic career mode, but there is one called Adventure Mode.

Und du läufst halt auf so einer Oberwelt rum, wie bei jedem anderen Mario-Spiel.

And you just walk around in some overworld, like in every other Mario game.

Und du gehst dann an bestimmte Points of Interest.

And then you go to certain points of interest.

Und da gibt es.

And there is.

Dann, ich sag mal, Story-Spiele, also wo du dann gegen bestimmte Böse spielst oder bestimmte Tricks machen musst oder an bestimmte, manchmal musst du auch einfach nur gegen eine Wand spielen in bestimmte Ecken.

Well, let's say story games, where you play against specific villains or have to perform certain tricks, or sometimes you just have to play against a wall in certain corners.

Also wie gesagt, ich habe erst eine Stunde gespielt, aber es gibt auf jeden Fall diesen Adventure-Modus, wo du quasi diese Story auflöst.

Well, as I said, I've only played for an hour, but there is definitely this adventure mode where you essentially solve this story.

Also wie gesagt, da gibt es diesen bösen Tennisschläger, der kommt und hat Besitz ergriffen von Wario und war Luigi und auch von Luigi und du musst das quasi wieder auflösen, damit der nicht zu kräftig wird.

So as I said, there is this evil tennis racket that comes and has taken possession of Wario and was Luigi and also of Luigi, and you essentially have to resolve that so that it doesn’t become too powerful.

Zu powerful, bla bla bla.

Too powerful, blah blah blah.

Damit der nicht so kräftig wird, das klingt so, als ob der, ob der immer, ob der so ein bisschen dick ist.

So that he doesn't get so strong, that sounds like, whether he, whether he is always, whether he is a little bit chubby.

So ein bisschen, der war, da musst du aber, pass mal auf du, dass du nicht zu kräftig wirst.

Just a little bit, he was, you need to, watch out that you don't become too strong.

Ja, ich meinte, ich meinte halt so, nicht so powerful.

Also das gibt es auf jeden Fall.

Wie umfangreich das ist, weiß ich nicht, weil, wie gesagt, so weit habe ich nicht gespielt.

Aber dann, wie bei Mario Kart, gibt es halt auch wieder da so eine Art Tennis-Cups, die du spielen kannst.

But then, like in Mario Kart, there are also these kinds of tennis cups that you can play.

Und die sind noch nicht alle freigeschaltet, das heißt, du musst dich dann durch einen so einen Turnierbaum spielen, dann gewinnst du den und dann ist der nächste Cup.

And not all of them are unlocked yet, which means you have to play through a tournament bracket, then you win that, and then there's the next cup.

Hab freigeschaltet und dann machst du so weiter.

Ich weiß nicht, wie viele es davon gibt, aber das gibt es auf jeden Fall.

Ich hatte das jetzt aber auch nicht anders erwartet.

Interessanterweise würde ich das auch schon längst mal spielen, weil es mich irgendwie so charmant anmacht.

Also ich habe ja ein Herz für 3D-Plattformer und habe das auch schon Ewigkeiten gekauft.

Und wollte das immer mal spielen, weil das auch irgendwie cute aussah.

And I always wanted to play that because it looked kind of cute.

Es hat auch so kleine Welten, wie man das halt so bei den 3D-Plattformern kennt.

It also has these small worlds, like you usually find in 3D platformers.

Es ist auch von einem, ich glaube, von einem dänischen Entwicklerstudio.

It is also from, I believe, a Danish development studio.

Ich glaube, die wurden auch kürzlich erst geschlossen, wenn ich mich recht erinnere.

I believe they were only recently closed, if I remember correctly.

Ich bin aber nicht hundertprozentig sicher.

I'm not a hundred percent sure, though.

Ich habe das nach einer Stunde auch aufgehört zu spielen.

Ich glaube, das könnte ein guter Plattformer sein.

Das große Problem an diesem Spiel ist, dass die Kamerasteuerung so wahnsinnig scheiße ist.

The big problem with this game is that the camera control is unbelievably terrible.

Dass ich da nach einer Stunde keinen Bock mehr hatte.

That after an hour I didn't feel like it anymore.

Ich habe dann gegoogelt, ob ich das irgendwie, ob ich falsche Einstellungen habe, ob ich das irgendwie ändern kann.

I then Googled whether I had any incorrect settings or if I could change it somehow.

Und es gibt sehr viele Reddit-Threads dazu, wo sich Leute dann irgendwie Tipps geben, wie das am besten funktioniert.

And there are many Reddit threads about it, where people somehow give tips on how it works best.

Das große Problem ist, du kannst das entweder so einstellen, dass das immer automatisiert passiert.

The big problem is, you can set it up so that it happens automatically all the time.

Dass die Kamera automatisch macht, was sie denkt, was sie machen soll.

That the camera automatically does what it thinks it should do.

Und das große Problem dabei ist aber, dass du quasi händisch immer direkt auf die Figur zoomen kannst oder rauszoomen kannst.

And the big problem with that is that you can essentially zoom in or out on the figure manually.

Und zwar so.

And that’s how it is.

So dicht an die Figur, dass die sich halt so, wie man das bei anderen Spielen auch kennt, dass die sich schon so ein bisschen auflöst.

So close to the figure that it starts to dissolve a bit, like you would see in other games.

Dass du quasi durch sie durchsiehst, was so in so engeren Umgebungen Sinn ergeben würde.

That you can essentially see through her, which would make sense in such close environments.

Aber du musst das ständig anpassen.

But you have to constantly adjust that.

Also auch wenn die Kamera automatisch läuft, funktioniert das nicht so, dass du dich da gut fühlst.

So even when the camera is running automatically, it doesn't work in a way that makes you feel good.

Und das Problem ist, dass du dadurch Entfernungen nicht einschätzen kannst.

And the problem is that this makes it difficult to judge distances.

Und das macht natürlich bei einem Spiel, das irgendwie auch davon abhängig ist, wo du jetzt hinspringst.

And that makes sense in a game that somehow also depends on where you jump next.

Oder wenn du auf einer Wäscheleine oder sowas.

Or if you are on a clothesline or something like that.

Und davon abspringen musst.

And you have to back off from that.

Das ist ein riesiges Problem.

That is a huge problem.

Und das hat mich so genervt, weil ich immer nicht dahin gesprungen bin, wo ich hin wollte.
