Ja, wir reden ja jetzt auch über die Wirkung davon, die politische Wirkung.

Das können wir sogar aus Eigenstudien sehen.

Sie verlieren das Vertrauen.

They are losing trust.

Sie fühlen sich unsicherer in ihrer Umwelt.

They feel less secure in their environment.

Sie fühlen sich weniger wohl in ihrem Zuhause, in ihrem Arbeitsplatz.

They feel less comfortable in their home, in their workplace.

Aber sie verlieren eben auch das Vertrauen in demokratische Institutionen.

But they are also losing trust in democratic institutions.

Das macht ja auch Sinn.

That makes sense.

Wenn ich meinen Nachbarn nicht vertraue,

If I do not trust my neighbor,

warum sollte ich dann den Polizisten auf der Straße vertrauen?

Why should I trust the police officer on the street then?

Oder worum sollte ich dann Richtern vertrauen?

Or why should I then trust judges?

Also so rüber muss man den Gedanken dann fassen.

Und wie gesagt, es wird dann auch weniger Wahlenvertrauen.

Dann geht man eben auch weniger hin.

Haben Sie das selber persönlich schon mal erlebt?

Dass Sie in einsamen Momenten destruktiver oder überhaupt anders gedacht haben als normalerweise?

Have you thought differently or more destructively in lonely moments than you normally do?

Doch, ich glaube schon.

Yes, I think so.

Also diese Einsamkeit ist ja etwas, was zu unserem Leben dazugehört.

So this loneliness is something that is part of our life.

Das machen wir uns ja nur selten klar,

We rarely make that clear to ourselves.

dass Einsamkeit eigentlich etwas ist, was uns immer wieder alarmiert.

That loneliness is actually something that continuously alarms us.

Jetzt loszugehen, vielleicht eine Freundin anzurufen, doch mal wieder zum Sport zu gehen.

Now to go out, maybe call a friend, and finally go back to doing sports.

All diese Dinge.

All these things.

Es ist ja eigentlich ein Gefühl, das uns daran erinnert, dass wir soziale Wesen sind.

It is actually a feeling that reminds us that we are social beings.

Und es hat natürlich auch Auswirkungen auf die Politik.

Die Bundesregierung hat im letzten Dezember zum ersten Mal eine Strategie gegen Einsamkeit beschlossen,

und deswegen beschäftigen sich ja auch Psychologen vor allem damit, die sehr stark in die Psychologie geht

Wo setzt man an? Sicher im Vorfeld.

Und da würde ich aus meiner Erfahrung sagen, brauchen wir schon auch eine bessere Raumgestaltung, Gelegenheitsstrukturen,

sondern dass wir eben auch wieder lernen, Konflikt auszuhalten, andere Menschen auszuhalten,

uns ihren Meinungen auszusetzen.

Und ich glaube, der,

But they no longer engage in the discussion or in a controversial discussion.

Sie meiden also den Konflikt mit anderen.

So you avoid conflict with others.

Aber Demokratie bedeutet ja eben auch Konflikt.

But democracy also means conflict.

Und hier auch wieder eine gesamtgesellschaftliche Situation zu schaffen,

in der sich Menschen einander aussetzen und auch in Konflikten den anderen wertschätzen

Und deswegen ist der Wunsch von einsamen Menschen, wieder mit anderen in Kontakt zu kommen,

And that's why the desire of lonely people to reconnect with others,

und in Gemeinschaft zu kommen, schon sehr groß.

Und hier könnte tatsächlich ein Grund liegen,
