Gott sprengt Konventionen

Es wird einer gehalten wie der andere.

Aber das wird weder menschengerecht noch Gott.

Denn in der Bibel begegnet mir ein Gott, der immer wieder mit menschlichen Konventionen bricht.

soll er am Leben bleiben, so Hesekiel.

"Should he remain alive, so says Ezekiel."

Der Sohn soll nicht tragen die Schuld des Vaters.

Und der Vater soll nicht tragen die Schuld des Sohnes,

And the father shall not bear the guilt of the son,

sondern die Gerechtigkeit des Gerechten soll ihm allein zugutekommen

but the righteousness of the righteous shall be his alone.

und die Ungerechtigkeit des Ungerechten soll auf ihm allein liegen.

and the injustice of the unjust shall rest solely upon him.

Gott sprengt die damalige Konvention und setzt einen neuen Maßstab.

God breaks the conventions of the time and sets a new standard.

Vor Gott verantwortet sich jeder Mensch selbst.

Before God, every person is accountable for themselves.

Und zwar nur für das, wofür er selbst auch verantwortlich ist.

Nicht mehr.

Und das ist erst der Anfang einer steilen Lernkurve.
