2枚貝は普段、泥や砂の中に潜って生活していますが、コンクリートなどのように潜れない場所に置いてみるとどうするのでしょうか。

Bivalves usually live buried in mud or sand, but what do they do when they are placed in a location where they cannot burrow, such as on concrete?

水槽の中にブロックと砂を用意しました。

そしてブロックの上に2枚貝を置いてみます。

2枚貝はコンクリートなど潜れない場所よりも、潜ることのできる泥や砂の方が住みやすいと考えられます。

Bivalves are thought to be more comfortable living in mud or sand, which they can burrow into, than in places like concrete where they cannot.
