でいつも年越しそばこう作りながら

今年はああだったこうだった

毎年こう年越しそばを作るときに

いろいろとかやるわけですよ

ただ問題なのは私とろろ食べれないんですよ

どうしたもんかなと思っていて

自分を犠牲にしたらブス

If you sacrifice yourself, you'll become ugly.

まあこうついつい

Well, it just happens.

相手のことを思うばかりで

Just thinking about the other person.

自分のことを犠牲にするときって

When you sacrifice yourself

まああるじゃないですか

Well, there's that, isn't there?

そのときに自分を犠牲にしたらブス

If you sacrifice yourself at that moment, you'll be ugly.

っていうのがあるんです

That's how it is.

じゃあなんで自分を犠牲にするかっていうと

So why do I sacrifice myself?

例えば相手を悲しませたくないとか

For example, I don't want to make the other person sad.

相手を困らせたくない

I don't want to trouble the other person.

っていうことを思い

Thinking about that.

ってことは

つまり相手のことを思っての選択だと思うんですけど

困ることでもないし

悲しむことでもないのに

It's not something to be sad about.

この人悲しむことでもないのに

This person has no reason to be sad.

悲しむんじゃないかとかっていうところで

自分のエゴの押し付けになっている可能性があるわけってこと

結局自分が幸せになれないって思うからさ

ついつい自分を犠牲にするとこなのかもしんないけどさ

Maybe I tend to sacrifice myself without thinking about it.

自分も相手もお互いが幸せになる選択ってのを

A choice that makes both oneself and the other person happy.

その人たちは大体しなくなるので

They usually stop doing it.

意識すべきところはそこだと思うわけ

自分も笑顔になって

I smiled too.

相手も笑顔になるっていうことが

"That makes the other person smile too."

大切なのかなと思うんですけど

I wonder if it's important.

大切な気がするのよ

I feel it's important.

自分もしくは相手だけが

Only oneself or the other.

幸せになるっていうのは

To be happy means...

偏りだと思うわよ

I think it's a bias.
