タイトルちょっと変えようかなと思って

I was thinking about changing the title a little.

20分から30分で名調なんですけど

It's a perfect tune in about 20 to 30 minutes.

このでっていうところをdeにしちゃったもんで

I ended up changing that "de tte iu" part to "de".

タイトル書くときにちょっとめんどくさいなと思って

I think it's a bit troublesome when writing the title.

リーディングログっていうね

It's called a reading log.

シンプルな読書記録っていう風にしようかなと思っています

I'm thinking of keeping it as a simple reading log.

あんまり名調って言われるような名調かどうかとかね

チベットの死者の書

The Tibetan Book of the Dead

この今持ってる手元にあるのが小さい

What I have in my hands right now is small.

あの川崎新城先生が書いてらっしゃる本なんですけども

This is a book written by Professor Kawasaki Shinjo.

これ単行本ですね

This is a standalone book, isn't it?

最初これちょっと興味があって

At first, I was a little interested in this.

あの本屋さんでなんとなく手に取ったんですけど

I picked it up at that bookstore for some reason.

読んでみたらちょっと難しすぎてですね

When I tried reading it, it was a bit too difficult.

これはバーシャがいると解釈ですね

This can be interpreted as having Varsha present.

狂じゃなくて

Not crazy.

論ですね

It's a theory.

解釈本が必要だなと思って

I thought a commentary book would be necessary.

ちょっと大きいサイズのもう一つ

One more in a slightly larger size.

ゲルク派の死者の書っていう本を買ってですね

I bought a book called "The Book of the Dead" from the Geluk school.

ちょっと読んでみて

Give it a little read.

やっぱりそっちの方がわかりやすかったんで

I knew that way was easier to understand.

それを読んでから

After reading that.

このもう一回単行本を読んで

Read this one more time in paperback.

なるほどって思ったので

I thought, "I see."

なんかあの紹介したいなと

I want to introduce that somehow.

思っています

I think so.

まずですね

First of all,

このチベットの死者の書って書いてあるってことは

What is written in this Tibetan Book of the Dead?

これチベット仏教の本でして

This is a book on Tibetan Buddhism.

でゲルク派の方の本はいわゆる

The book from the Gelk faction is what you would call...

ダライラマさんがいらっしゃるあっちの宗派ですね

That's the sect that the Dalai Lama belongs to.

なんかチベットにもなんかいろいろ

It seems that there are various things in Tibet as well.

ニンマン派とか4つぐらいあるのかな宗派が

I wonder if there are about four or so sects like the Ninhman sect.

でダライラマさんがいらっしゃる方の宗派の方の本が

The book belonging to the followers of the sect where the Dalai Lama is present.

ちょっとわかりやすくて

It's a little easier to understand.

あっち細かく読ませていただいたんですけども

I read that in detail over there.

その本もあのこっちのちっちゃい方の単行本の方もですね

That book, as well as the smaller paperback over here, too...

だいたい真言宗のお坊さんが書いてらっしゃる

Generally, it is written by a monk of the Shingon sect.

要するに密教ですね

In short, it's esoteric Buddhism.

チベットの仏教っていうのは密教なので

Tibetan Buddhism is a form of esoteric Buddhism.

真言宗のお坊さんはすごくそこに造詣が深いというか

The Shingon Buddhist monks are incredibly knowledgeable about that.

翻訳されてるってことですね

So it means it's being translated.

で仏教の本はですね

As for the book on Buddhism...

密教あんまり興味ないっていう方とかいらっしゃると思うんですが

I think there are people who aren't really interested in esoteric Buddhism.

簡単に言うとですね

To put it simply,

インドで生まれた仏教なんですけど

It’s Buddhism that was born in India.

そこから

From there.

その細かいところ言ったら面白いんですけど

If you go into the details, it's actually interesting.

なかなか外に経典持ち出したりとか

It's quite difficult to take the sutras out.

なんかしないというかさせないというか

It's not that I won't do it, or rather, I can't let it happen.

そういう戦いがいろいろあったみたいでですね

It seems there have been various battles like that.

中国からも山蔵法師のように

Like the monk Yanzang from China.

あのね

You know,

インドにすごいありがたい経典があるらしいぞって言って

I heard there is an amazing scripture in India.

シルクロード渡って中国から

Crossing the Silk Road from China

シルクロード渡ってないね

You haven't crossed the Silk Road, have you?

中国からインドに弟

Younger brother from China to India.

お経を取りに何人もの方が行かれるわけですよね

Many people go to get the sutras, right?

でちょっとずつちょっとずつインドから経典を持ち帰って

"Little by little, I am bringing back scriptures from India."

中国に広まっていくわけですけど

It is spreading in China, but...

あのチベットはね

That Tibet, you know.

インドに密教がこの広がったっていうか

"Is it that Esoteric Buddhism has spread in India?"

インドにインドの仏教っていうのが最後の方

Towards the end, there is Indian Buddhism in India.

イスラム教が入ってきたっていうのもあるし

One reason is that Islam has come in.

インドの人たちにもあまり響かなくなっていたというか

It seems that it hasn't resonated much with the people in India either.

その頃には結構もう

By that time, quite a bit already.

バラマン教とかイスラム教とか

Brahmanism and Islam, etc.

他の宗教も強くなって

Other religions are becoming stronger.

そういうところで

In that kind of place.

あの最後ギリギリのところで

At that last moment, just barely.

あのチベットの方に

To that Tibetan person.

ガッとこうインドの経典が

The Indian scriptures are suddenly overwhelming.

あの行ったというかね

Well, it's more like I went, you know.

インドに伝えられたので

Because it was conveyed to India.

そのインドの後期の密教っていうのが

That later Indian esoteric Buddhism...

最後チベットに伝わったっていう風にね

In the end, it was said to have been passed down to Tibet.

言われています

It is said.

なのであの今のチベットの密教っていうのが

So, the current Tibetan esoteric Buddhism is...

インドで最後に

Finally in India

起こった密教

The Occurrence of Esoteric Buddhism

だからちょっとあれですよね

So it's a bit like that, isn't it?

そのいわゆる中国に渡った仏教と

The so-called Buddhism that went to China and

なんかちょっと違うなって思うのは

I think something feels a bit off.

まあ密教化した要するに

Well, it has essentially become esoteric.

普通にお釈迦様の説いた仏教

The ordinary Buddhism taught by the Buddha.

もうちょっとなんかなんていうか

I don't really know how to put it, but just a little more...

あれは教えというか

That's more like teaching, or rather...

哲学的なところから

From a philosophical perspective

だんだんそのバラモン教の

Gradually the Brahmanism

祭祀的な部分とか

Ceremonial aspects and such.

お祈りとかねそういうところもともとは

Originally, things like prayers and such were also part of that.

そういうバラモン教のそういうお祈りとか

Such prayers of the Brahmin religion, etc.

あの神に祈るとか

Praying to that god or something.

そういうところをわざわざ排除して

Deliberately excluding such aspects.

霊魂の存在も否定してたかどうか分からないですけど

I'm not sure whether they denied the existence of souls or not.

まあ気にしないようにするとか

Well, I suppose I should try not to worry about it.

何まあその自分とそれ以外はもう何も信じないっていうか

Well, I guess it's like saying you don't believe in anything other than yourself.

物事をすごくシンプルに捉えるっていうことが

To perceive things in a very simple way is

まあ仏教の悟りとか起こり

Well, enlightenment in Buddhism and such.

そして伝道していくっていうことが

And spreading the message.

あったんだけども

It existed, but...

最後の方はやっぱりちょっと民衆に迎合してじゃないですが

In the end, it seems like it somewhat catered to the public.

あのお祈りの要素とか

The elements of that prayer, or something like that.

あの入れていった要するに

In other words, the one I just put in.

密教っていうのは仏教とヒンズー教

Esoteric Buddhism is a combination of Buddhism and Hinduism.

バラモン教

Brahmanism

バラモン教だったのがヒンズー教になるんですけど

It started as Brahmanism and then became Hinduism.

その仏教とヒンズー教がミックスされたもの

A blend of Buddhism and Hinduism.

だからインドの後期の仏教っていう風に

So, it's referred to as late Indian Buddhism.

まあ言うこともできるのかなと思います

Well, I think I could say that.

ですからこの密教の教えっていうのをね

Therefore, this teaching of Esoteric Buddhism...

あの読むと

When you read that,

めっちゃめちゃくちゃヨガやんっていう風にね

It's like, really, really, super yoga, you know?

思って読みやす密教全然

I thought it would be easy to read, but it’s not at all.

あの今まで触れてこなかったけれども

Well, I haven't touched on this until now, but...

すごい読みやすい

It's incredibly easy to read.

今の私には分かりやすいなって

It seems easy to understand for me right now.

ちょっと下手したら浄土真宗よりも分かりやすいなっていう風に思ったりもしました

I thought that it might be a bit easier to understand than Jodo Shinshu.

はいっていうのがまあ

Well, that's what it is.

インドのごめんなさい

I'm sorry from India.

インドから渡ったチベットの密教の簡単なお話なんですが

It's a brief story about the esoteric Buddhism that came from India to Tibet.

じゃあこのチベットの使者の書っていうのが何断念っていうことですね

So, this document from the Tibetan messenger is about some kind of abandonment, right?

これは何だっていうこと

What is this supposed to be?

これは枕行ですね

This is a pillow phrase, isn't it?

枕行って何っていうことなんですけど

What do you mean by "makura"?

まあ何だろう

Well, what is it?

なんて言ったらいいかな

What should I say?

まああのこの本に書いてあるところ

Well, regarding what is written in this book...

書きがすごくねあの分かりやすかったので

The writing was really easy to understand.

そこから紹介させてもらうと

Let me introduce it from there.

臨終の時から49日間

From the time of death to 49 days.

中印と言われる時期ですね

It's a time referred to as Sino-Indian.

に渡って使者の耳元で話して読み上げられる枕行

"Whispers into the ears of the messenger, reciting the pillow words."

これが使者の書と言われているそうです

This is said to be the book of the messenger.

でこの

So this

亡くなってからでも

Even after passing away

その人間の感覚

That person's senses.

このチベットではその人間の感覚の中で

In this Tibet, within that person's senses.

その鼻とか耳とか目とか

That nose, those ears, those eyes.

口とかの中で一番耳が最後まで感覚が残っているっていう風に言われています

It is said that the ears are the last part of the body where sensations remain, even in the mouth and such.

だからあの人が亡くなる時に

So when that person passes away,

その耳の感覚だけは

That sense of hearing alone.

体が亡くなって

The body has passed away.

まあいろんな感覚がシャットダウンしていっても

Well, even if various senses are shutting down...

耳だけは最後まで残っている感覚が残っているから

Because there is a feeling that only the ears remain until the end.

その49日間に渡って

Over the course of those 49 days.

その人が迷わないように

So that the person does not get lost.

あの教えを読んでいって

Please read that teaching.

行き先を示すっていう風な形でこれ読まれる

It will be read as a way to indicate the destination.

だから49日やるということだそうです

So, it seems that they are going to hold the 49-day event.

すごい私納得しました

Wow, I’m convinced.

49日の感覚ってね

The feeling of the 49 days, you know?

あの私はもともと実家が真言宗なので

Well, my family originally follows Shingon Buddhism.

この考えが45日中印やるっていうのは

This idea of doing it in 45 days in India and China is...

なんか当たり前のように思っていましてね

I kind of take it for granted, you know.

あの私はもともと実家が真言宗なのでこの考えが45日中印やるっていうのはなんか当たり前のように思っていましたね

Well, I originally come from a family that practices Shingon Buddhism, so I thought it was natural for this idea of doing it in India for 45 days.

えーとこの7日7日7週間にわたり唱えられる死後

Um, "the posthumous that will be recited for seven days, seven days, and seven weeks."

49日間の追善恵好鎮魂のお経を枕行と言います

The sutra for the 49-day memorial service is called "Makuragyō."

そしてこの中印っていうのをね

And this "China-India" thing, you know...

チベットの言葉でバルドーと言います

In Tibetan, it is called "Bardo."

中雨とかねも言いますね

They also say things like medium rain.

この間に死者が迷いの世界に輪廻しないようにすることで

By preventing the deceased from reincarnating into the world of confusion during this time.

正しい道はこっちなのだと正しい下達の方向を指示するおさづけのお経でございます

This is a teaching sutra that indicates the correct direction of the right path.

でこの内容どんなこと話してんのっていうのは

So what kind of things are we talking about in this content?

ちょっとあのこれ読んでもらった方がいいかなと思うんですが

I was thinking it might be better if you read this a little.

まあちょっと難しいです

Well, it's a bit difficult.

なんて思ったんで

3つの期間にねこの中印の時期を分けて

Divide the period of the cat into three phases.

まずその死ぬ瞬間の中印

First, the impression of that moment of death.

死ぬ瞬間に

At the moment of death.

その授けるお経っていうのが

That sutra that is imparted

あって

"be" or "exist"

でもう一つが

But one more thing is...

この存在本来の姿

The true form of this existence.

私たち人間とはこんなもんなんだよみたいな感じの

It's a feeling that says this is what we humans are like.

その本来の姿

Its original form.

と

and

その存在本来の姿

The true form of that existence.

あと最後再生へ向かう迷いの状態の中

"Then, in the state of hesitation heading towards the final playback."

次どういうふうに生まれていくのかっていうのを決める

Decide how it will be born next.

お経っていうのがあるんですけどその状態を説明するお経ですね

There is something called a sutra, and it explains that state.

要するに輪廻するんだと人間は仏教では輪廻するんですけど

In short, in Buddhism, humans undergo reincarnation.

その輪廻からの下脱を目指すそれを悟りという

The pursuit of liberation from that cycle of reincarnation is called enlightenment.

それが仏教ではあるんですけども

That's what Buddhism is about.

次の輪廻するまでの期間が49日間だと

The period until the next reincarnation is 49 days.

亡くなってからまずは今の自分の人生というか

"After passing away, first of all, it’s about my current life."

ちょっと振り返ってそして自分のやってきた徳とかカルマとか

"Take a moment to reflect and consider the virtues or karma you have built up."

そういうことによって次の人生はどういう姿に

Through such things, what will the next life look like?

生まれていくのか人間になるのか動物になるのか

Will I be born as a human or an animal?

っていうのを決めるみたいなのが49日の間に行われるわけです

It seems that something like that will be decided during the 49 days.

そして無常ヨーガだったかな

And then it was Impermanence Yoga, I think.

ヨーガっていうのは今の私たちでインドのヨーガだけじゃなくて

Yoga isn't just about the yoga from India for us today.

仏教でもヨーガっていう行を行うんですけど

In Buddhism, there is also a practice called yoga.

そういうヨーガの

Such yoga

行ってそのほぼ生きてる状態で即身成仏というか

It's like going there and attaining Buddhahood while still almost alive.

悟りの状態サマーディの状態にあるような人たちは

People who are in a state of enlightenment, in the state of samadhi, are...

その亡くなった瞬間もその亡くなった瞬間からすぐに

From the moment of death, immediately from that moment of death.

その魂が次のステップに行く準備ができてるみたいな

It seems like that soul is ready to take the next step.

そうじゃない人はなんか3日ぐらいかかるとか

People who are not like that take about three days or so.

なんかそういうようなことが書いてありました

It seems that something like that was written.

ちょっと細かいところ私もすみませんあんまり覚えてないんですが

I'm sorry for being a bit detailed, but I don't remember it very well.

なんかそんなようなことが書いてありました

It said something like that.

そしてヨーガの神様の方が

And then, the god of yoga...

神話とかのお話の回の時に

During the episode about myths and stories

勉強会とかでもよくお話させていただくんですけど

I often get to talk about this in study sessions and such.

ヨーガね私たちが一般的にインドでインドのヨーガの中でも

Yoga, you know, is something we generally think of in the context of Indian yoga in India.

ウパニシャットの中に書かれてるんですが

It is written in the Upanishads.

その神が自分自身の変わらぬ本来

The god's unchanging essence of itself.

全く変わらない私の輪廻しても繰り返す自分の本来の姿っていうのが

My unchanged form that repeats itself in the cycle of reincarnation.

その親指の第一関節ぐらいの大きさで

About the size of the first joint of that thumb.

心臓の胸と胸の間の心臓の近くにあるっていうふうに言われているんですが

It is often said to be located near the heart, between the chest and the chest.

この死者の書の中にもなんかそういうようなことが書いてございました

There was something like that written in this Book of the Dead as well.

それが大体内容かな

That's about the main content, I guess.

ちょっともっと面白おかしく話せればいいんですけど

I wish I could tell it a little more entertainingly.

私もこのチベットのお坊さんじゃないので

I'm not a Tibetan monk either.

あんまり深いことこれお経なので話していいのかなとかっていうね

I'm not sure if it's okay to talk about something so profound since this is a sutra.

次の生で人間にもし生まれるとしたら生まれたいなと思ったら

"If I were to be born as a human in my next life, I would like to be born."

その未来のお父さんとお母さんに会いに行って

I'm going to meet those future Mom and Dad.

でこのお父さんのもとで生まれたいなと思ったら女性になる女の子になって

I thought I wanted to be born as a girl to this father.

でその後のお父さんとお母さんに会いに行って

And then I went to see dad and mom.

でこのお母さんのもとに生まれたいなと思ったら男の子になる

I thought I wanted to be born to this mother, and so I became a boy.

っていう風にね

In that way, you know?

もうちょっとなんかこうえぐい感じで書いてあるんですけど

It's written in a bit more of a disturbing way.

大きく言えばそんな感じで

In a broad sense, it's kind of like that.

次生まれ変わる性別っていうのを

The gender I will be reborn as next time.

決めるわけですよね

That's how you decide, right?

でそれがやっぱり精神分析とか

Well, that certainly relates to psychoanalysis and...

ちょっと心理学やってる人なんとか

Someone who's studying psychology a bit.

あれ?

Huh?

フロイトのエディプスコンプレックスじゃないの?って

Isn't it Freud's Oedipus complex?

気づかれると思うんですが

I think you'll notice it.

そこで論理的に生物学的に考えると

So when thinking logically and biologically

それでフロイトはそういう風な論を立てたんだけども

So Freud developed a theory like that, but...

それが西洋の知性はここで限界で

That is where Western intelligence reaches its limit here.

やっぱりそこからもっと深く

After all, let's go deeper from there.

集合意識とか

Collective consciousness or something like that.

もう少しスピリチュアルなところまで考えていかないと

We need to think a little more spiritually.

なかなかそういうのができないと思うんですけど

I don't think it's easy to do that kind of thing.

そこから深く分析もできないんですが

I can't analyze it deeply from there, though.

それが実はこの遥か昔死者の書

That is actually the Book of the Dead from long ago.

もっと言えば

クシャロンとか有意識とか

Kusharon and things like consciousness.

バスバンドゥ先生のあたりには

もうね

Already, huh?

集合意識的な話で

It's a story about collective consciousness.

解釈されてたんだなって

I see it was being interpreted.

なんかもうごめんなさいうまく説明できないけど

I'm really sorry, I can't explain it well, but...

はぁ?みたいな感じですね

It's like, "Huh?"

とにかく

Anyway

えーとにかく

Um, anyway.

というような

"Such as" or "like that"

考え方もありまして

There is a way of thinking.

ユングは

Jung is

それを

That.

次のね

Next.

生を決めるっていう

To decide on life.

ところから

From there

反対に自分の本来の姿とか

On the contrary, one's true self or appearance.

死の瞬間とか

Moments of death, or something like that.

そういうところに遡っていった方が

It's better to go back to those kinds of places.

分かりやすいんじゃないかなっていう風に

I think it's easy to understand.

その内なる集合的無意識というか

That inner collective unconscious, so to speak.

なんかそのこと書いてましたけど

I was writing about that somehow.

いやなんかすごく私的にはね

Well, for me personally...

なんかいろいろと

Various things.

合点がいったとか

I got it.

合点がいったとかね

I see, that makes sense.

いう本でございました

It was a book that said so.

結局何?って感じかもしれないけど

It might feel like, "So what?" in the end, but...

なんかこれ一番面白いのが

I think the most interesting thing about this is...

面白いって言ったらいけないけども

I shouldn't say it's interesting, but...

この要するに

In other words,

次の生を決めるんですけど

I'm deciding on my next life.

チベット仏教ってポアって何?って言うんですけども

What is "poa" in Tibetan Buddhism?

ポアっていうね

It's called "pore."

転移っていう方法もあるわけですよ

There is also a method called teleportation, you know.

その例えば死にかけてるって時に

For example, when you are about to die.

あの大弟子さんたちが

Those big disciples.

ウワーッとこう

Wow!

例えば偉い人が死にかけてたら

For example, if an important person is about to die...

わー偉い人が亡くなるってなったら

Wow, when a significant person passes away...

あの代わりの肉体を見つけて

Find that replacement body.

死にそうな人

A person who seems about to die.

元気な人のところ行って

Go to a lively person.

あのポアしようって言って

Let's do that Pua.

転移させることができる

Can be transferred.

ねその人の意識を

That person's consciousness.

だから

So.

あの

Um...

転移する

Transfer or teleport.

そしてそれをお弟子さんたちが

And then the disciples...

チベットの広い国の中から探していくっていう

"I'm going to search through the vast country of Tibet."

ちょっとロマンがあるなって思いました

I thought there was a bit of romance to it.

でもポワッとするってね

But it feels fluffy.

私たちの世代だったらちょっとゾッとするような言葉ですよね

It's a phrase that makes our generation shudder a little, isn't it?

本当に事件を起こした方は

The person who truly caused the incident is...

すごく影響力があったなと思いました

I thought it was very influential.

私の例えばインドの

For example, India of mine.

私はヨガシロダニっていうね

My name is Yogashirodani.

資格を持ってるんですけど

I have a qualification.

ヨガの先生の資格の初級というか

It's like the beginner qualification for yoga instructors.

最初の資格はヨガシロマニア
