最近シンガポールから日本に帰国する準備を

I have recently been preparing to return to Japan from Singapore.

いるわけなんですけど

どういう風に仕事しようかななんていうのは

I wonder how I should go about working.

並行してエリアルに詰めていってるんですよね

それについてはいつか日本に帰った時には

仕事をしようと思ってたので

I was thinking of working.

いよいよ日本に帰るんだなってのは決まった時に

It's when I decided that I was finally going back to Japan.

現実的になってきたなっていうのを感じたんですよ

I felt that it has become more realistic.

シンガポールだと完全に主婦

In Singapore, I am completely a housewife.

中夫として家のことをやっているので

Since I am managing the household as a husband.

仕事もしてますけど

I'm also working.

かなり生活の方に

Quite a bit in terms of living.

家庭の方に寄った生活スタイルなんですよね

It's a lifestyle that leans towards the family.

じゃあ日本に帰った時にどうするかっていうところを

So, what we will do when we return to Japan.

まず大方針決めなきゃいけないなって思ったんですよ

I thought we first need to decide on the main policy.

その方針を決めた上で

After deciding on that policy

どのくらい働くか

How much work to do?

どういうスタイルで働くかっていうところを

It's about the style in which to work.

設計しないとなー

I need to design it.

と思ったんですよ

I thought so.

というのもその大枠の設計って

This is because the overall design...

あんまりこう実はしない

I don't really do this much, actually.

しなかったりしますね

Sometimes they don't do it.

社会人になって

After becoming a member of society.

学校を出て社会人になった時には

When I graduated from school and became a working adult,

基本的にはもうバリバリ働くぞ

Basically, I will work really hard.

という気持ちで行くじゃないですか

You go with that feeling, right?

それでずっと働いていて

I have been working on that all along.

結婚して子供ができてっていう風になっていく過程で

In the process of getting married and having children, it's going to unfold like that.

一回じゃあこの生活と仕事のバランスを見直そうかな

I guess I should rethink the balance between my life and work this time.

みたいな

Like that.

タイミングって

Timing, huh?

じっくりは訪れないっていうか

It's not that it won't come slowly.

なんかこう追い込まれてみて

It feels like being cornered or pressured somehow.

もうちょっと調整しなきゃいけないなー

I need to make a few more adjustments.

っていう風に思ったりすると思うんですよね

I think that's how I feel sometimes.

僕も実際子供が2歳と1歳ぐらいだった時に

When my children were actually about 2 years old and 1 year old,

仕事もかなりバタバタしていて

Work has been quite hectic.

その中で年子だっていうこともあって

Among them, there's also the fact that they are born in consecutive years.

今家のこともかなりあのてんぱっててですね

I'm quite flustered with things at home right now.

で妻も友働きだったよっていう

"And my wife was also working."

こともあって

because of that

その時は妻産休取ったりとかしていて

At that time, my wife was on maternity leave and so on.

僕はできる限り早めに家に帰ってとか

I want to go home as soon as possible.

っていうのをやってましたけど

I was doing that, but...

振り返ってみても

Even when I look back

やっぱりかなりバタついてたなっていう

I guess it really was quite chaotic after all.

家庭も仕事もカオスだったなっていう状態だったな

It was a state where both home and work were chaotic.

っていうのは思うんですよね

I think that's what it is.

今じゃあこうシンガポールに来て

Now I've come to Singapore.

そうやってある程度時間を

In that way, for a certain period of time...

能動的に確保することができるようになったら

Once you are able to secure it actively.

そういう風に思いますね

I think in that way.

確保している状態なんですよ

It's a secured state.

それによって確保している

It is secured by that.

家庭の方の確保と

Securing family matters and

仕事の方の確保っていうところを

Securing work-related matters.

かなりすっきり分けているので

It's quite clearly divided.

仕事もかなり集中して

I am quite focused on my work.

取り組むことができているので

Because I am able to tackle it.

かなり効率はいいのかなっていう風に思うんだよね

I think it's quite efficient.

実際自分でやってみても

Even when I actually try it myself...

それが日本に帰って

When I return to Japan.

じゃあどういう風にするかって考えたら

Then when I think about how to do it...

やっぱり今まだ

After all, still now...

上の子が6歳下の子が5歳で

The older child is 6 years old, and the younger child is 5 years old.

今日本に帰ったら来年上の子小学校なんですよね

When I go back to Japan, my oldest child will be starting elementary school next year.

下の子はもう1年未就学児で

The child below is already a preschooler for another year.

っていう状態なんですよ

That's the kind of situation we're in.

そっからどういう風にオペレーションするか

How to operate from there.

学校に行ったらどうなるのかっていうのは

What happens when you go to school is...

今まだ見えないところがたくさんありすぎて

There are still too many things that I can't see.

妻もですね

My wife too.

日本に帰ったら

When I return to Japan

仕事を新しいところに変わるんですけど

I'm changing jobs to a new place.

その仕事を始めるので

I'm going to start that job.

かなりいろんな子供もそうですし

There are quite a variety of children as well.

みんな新しい環境すぎるんですよね

Everyone is in a completely new environment, isn't it?

そんな中でやはりもう少し

In the midst of that, I still want a bit more.

家庭のことは時間を確保しておきたいなっていう

I want to make sure to set aside time for family matters.

風な気持ちがまだあるんですよ

I still have feelings like the wind.

なのでしばらくはもうちょい様子見ながら

So for a while, I'll just observe a bit more.

仕事をしたいなというふうに思ってるんですよね

I’m thinking that I want to work.

これそういうふうに思って

I think of it that way.

その中でちゃんと稼ぐっていうことを

In that, properly earning money is important.

時間をセーブしながらがっつり稼ぐみたいな

It's like earning a lot while saving time.

極端に言うとそういうことが

To put it extreme, that's how it is.

果たして実現できるのかっていう

Can it really be achieved?

自分のキャリアもしっかり上げていくっていうことが

It's about making sure to advance my own career as well.

実現できるのかっていうのは

Whether it can be realized or not.

これは僕のチャレンジとして

This is my challenge.

やっていこうかなと思ったんですよね

I thought I might go ahead and do it.

それを妻にも話して

I will talk about it to my wife as well.

お互いに応援し合うっていうことになるんですけど

It means that we support each other.

結構そういうコンセプトを持って

That's quite a concept to have.

じゃあしばらくやっていこうっていうふうに

Well, let's just go ahead and do it for a while then.

決めた時に人に会っていくと

When you meet people at the time you decide.

意外とそういう選択をして働いてる

Unexpectedly, I'm working by making such choices.

人に会っていくと意外とそういう選択をして働いてる

As I meet more people, I realize that unexpectedly, many make such choices in their work.

人って結構いるんだなっていうのに気づきました最近

I recently realized that there are quite a lot of people.

なんかお仕事の依頼があって

I received a request for work.

一緒にやりませんかって言ってくれる人とか

Someone who says, "Why don't we do it together?"

いろんな方と最近ちょくちょく

I've been meeting various people recently.

Zoomとかで会うんですけど

We meet on Zoom and such.

なんかそういうふうに柔軟に働きたいから

I want to work flexibly like that.

そういうふうにやってますみたいな人って

People who seem to be doing it that way.

主に自分で会社経営してたり

Mainly managing my own company.

フリーランスだったりするんですけど

I’m a freelancer.

そういう人はやっぱりそういう方針で

People like that really tend to have that kind of policy.

方針でやってるっていうのが分かって

I understand that it's being done according to the policy.

そっかやっぱりそういう

I see, so it really is like that.

その家庭のことを

About that family.

一定の

certain

家庭のことを

About family.

しっかりやりながら

While doing it properly

でも稼いでいる

But I'm making money.

ちゃんと仕事をしているっていう人たちって

People who say they are doing their job properly.

結構いるんだなって思ったんですよね

I thought there's actually quite a few of them.

だからこそ

That's precisely why.

自分もそういうチャレンジをしてみたいなって

I want to try that kind of challenge, too.

そんな中で

In the midst of that.

その中で

Among those

どれだけのパフォーマンスが出せるかっていうのは

It’s about how much performance can be delivered.

これは一つのチャレンジですからね

This is a challenge.

そういうのもいいかなっていうふうに思いました

I thought that kind of thing might be good too.

今は物理的に時間をセーブしてるわけですよね

Right now, I'm physically saving time, aren't I?

シンガポールで

In Singapore.

こういうのって

Things like this...

夫婦間で一緒にキャリアを形成するっていう見方だと思うんですよ

I think it's the view that you shape your careers together as a couple.

これってすごい重要だなって

I think this is really important.

最近ますます感じてて

I've been feeling it more and more lately.

やっぱり夫婦で

After all, as a couple.

出産とか育児っていう機会になった時に

When the opportunity of childbirth or child-rearing arises.

どっちかが

One or the other.

セーブしていくタイミングって絶対あるなと思って

I definitely think there are certain timings for saving.

そういう環境になることもあるなと思っていくと

I think there are times when it becomes that kind of environment.

これが夫婦で協力できないとだいぶ厳しいなっていうことを

This is something that would be quite tough if a couple can't cooperate.

改めて思うんですよね

I've been thinking about it again, you know.

それ意外とできないんじゃないかなっていう

I think that's actually not something you can do easily.

意外と話し合いをしないんじゃないかなっていうふうに思ったんですよ

I thought that perhaps they don't actually have discussions that much.

僕も知ってるつもりで

I think I know too.

やっぱ当時振り返ってみると

Looking back on it now, after all that time...

そこまで真摯に向き合えてたかなっていう話はするけど

I like to think about whether I was able to face it that sincerely.

実際行動っていう意味ではかなり弱かったかもしれないなとか思ったり

I sometimes think that my actual actions may have been quite weak.

いろいろするんですよね振り返ってみると

When I look back, I've done a lot of different things.

それがこう

That is how it is.

お金だけじゃない

It's not just money.

やっぱ時間もすごく大事じゃないですか時間を確保するって

After all, time is really important, isn't it? Securing time is essential.

時間があれば

If there is time.

家庭の方もちゃんと見れるし

I can also properly take care of my family.

その分限られた中で仕事のパフォーマンスを上げようとか

"Trying to improve work performance within those limitations."

っていうふうになってくると思うんで

I think it's going to end up being like that.

でもじゃあそこで年収を下げちゃいけないとか

But then we can't lower the annual income there.

キャリアが止まってしまう怖さみたいなものっていうのは

It's something like the fear of your career coming to a halt.

確かにあると思うんですよね

I certainly think there is.

だけどじゃあ時間

But then, what about time?

お金を

Money

年収を減らしても少し減らしても

Even if I reduce my annual income, even if it's just a little.

時間が確保できれば

If time can be secured.

実はその分やれることもたくさん出てくるっていうチャンスも

In fact, it presents a chance to take on a lot of things as well.

同時にあったりとかするんですよね

It can happen at the same time, you know.

仕事に力を注ぐ時っていうのと

When you're putting your efforts into work,

家庭を優先する

Prioritize family.

家庭を優先するというのが

Prioritizing family is...

させる時っていうのは

When it comes to making someone do something,

結構細かく調整できると

You can adjust it quite finely.

いいなってこれは理想論かもしれない

That sounds nice, but it might be an idealistic view.

ですけどかなりそれを

思ったりしますね

I sometimes think about it.

家庭が

綱渡り状態みたいになっちゃうと

It feels like we're in a tightrope situation.

家族との

With family

心と体の状態が

The state of the mind and body

健康でなくなると思ったんですよ

I thought I would become unhealthy.

健康でなくなる

Becoming unhealthy.

いがちだなと思って

I thought it was unusual.

平日はね

On weekdays, you know.

ハードに仕事して

Work hard.

なんとかやりくりして

Somehow making it work.

疲れが溜まりすぎて土日疲れて

I'm too tired to enjoy the weekend.

あんまり外出たくないなみたいな風になってしまうと

If it turns into a feeling like I don’t really want to go outside…

なかなかもったいないな

That's quite a waste.

っていう風に改めて思うんですよね

I think about it anew like that.

人生の方針みたいなことを

Something like a life policy.

決める

Decide.

それはきっと変わっていく

That will surely change.

ライフステージで変わっていくと思うんで

I think it will change with life stages.

それの方針を

The policy regarding that.

決めていくって

Let's decide.

生活も仕事も

Both life and work.

含めての人生だから

Because it's a life that includes everything.

そういうのも含めて一回

Including that, let's try it once.

方針を決めるっていう

It means "to make a decision on the policy."

ことをやって

Do that thing.

それを夫婦で共有するって

Sharing that as a couple.

すごく大事なんだろうな

It must be very important.

っていう風に思ってるんですよね

That's how I'm thinking, you know.

挑戦してみようっていう風に宣言すると

When you declare that you will try to take on the challenge,

意外となんか

Surprisingly, something.

応援してくれたりする人が

People who support me.

現れたりするもんなんですよね

It sometimes shows up, doesn't it?

もしその宣言を

If that declaration is

会社に言って

Go to the company.

頭ごなしに無理って言われる

I'm told it's impossible without any discussion.

こともあると思うんですよ

I think there are times like that.

理解のある会社とか経営者

A company or manager that understands.

がいるとこじゃないと

It's not a place where (someone) is.

このプランって成立しなそうですよね

This plan doesn't seem like it will work out, does it?

いやかなりそうだと思うんです

I think that's quite likely.

調整しようとしてくれる会社に

A company that is willing to make adjustments.

まず変えるっていうことになっちゃうのかなって思いますね

I think it will end up being that we need to change things first.

そこで

動けるようにするために

To make it possible to move.

普段から

As usual.

夫婦で話し合いをしていくと

As the couple continues to discuss...

いいのかなと

I wonder if it's alright.

今なら少し仕事にアイドルタイミングが出ても

OKかどうかっていうこととかね

Whether it's OK or not, you know.

なんとなく無理だよな

It feels like it's somehow impossible.

一回二人で終始設計してみたら

If you take on work as a freelancer

意外と一部を考えれば

If you think about it, surprisingly, some parts...

意外ともうちょっといけるかなとか

だからそういう風に

気持ちが楽になりますよね

いくつかやると意外と稼げたりするんですよね

なんかパソコン入力作業

Somehow, it's computer input work.

エクセル入力作業みたいなものも

It's something like Excel data entry tasks.

あとは文章を

映像から書き起こす仕事とか

Work that involves transcribing from video.

そういうのも

意外とちゃんと仕事とか

Surprisingly, I actually do my job properly.

あったりとかするので

It happens sometimes.

探してみたらね

I tried looking for it.

こういうのもあるんだ

There are things like this too.

じゃあもうしばらく食えるそうだな

Well, it seems like I can eat for a little while longer.

みたいな風に思えたりもするんで

It can sometimes feel that way.

いいですよね

そういうことで夫婦で話し合って

繋がりとかの中から

From within the connections and such.

ゆるく繋がる友達の知り合い

Casual acquaintances of friends.

ぐらいの感じの中から

From among the feeling of around that.

急に巡り合わせで

By a sudden twist of fate.

新しい可能性が開けてきたり

New possibilities are opening up.

することもあると思うんですよね

I think there are times when that happens.

選択肢が広がれば

If the options widen

視野も広がって

The horizons have broadened.

人間関係も広がって

Relationships are also expanding.

意外と

Unexpectedly

キャリアを

Career

ピボットできちゃったりとか

You can do a pivot or something like that.

する機会もできてくると思うので

I think opportunities will arise.

そういうことのためにも

For that kind of thing as well.

一つの会社で

At one company.

ずっと

Forever.

苦しいままでいるよりは

Rather than remain in pain.

意外と
