1日の流れ的なとこから

朝5時起きです

I wake up at 5 AM.

5時から座禅を40分50分行って

Starting at 5 o'clock, I will do zazen for 40 to 50 minutes.

土教って言ってお経を読むんですけど

It's called "dokyo," and it involves reciting sutras.

こちらの総統宗

お経を人数分いただきまして

3ヶ月で覚えて

Learn it in three months.

清学さんっていう方が

その総統宗から借りてきて

I borrowed it from that cult leader.

僕らに渡されたっていうことで

結構難しいですよね覚えるのに

全然見慣れない日本語というか

It's entirely unfamiliar Japanese, or rather...

ほぼ中国語というか

It's almost like Chinese, or rather.

サンスクリット語もあるって言ってたから

I heard that there is also Sanskrit.

なんか古文か

Is it some kind of classical literature?

古文とたまにちょっと日本語

Classical literature and occasionally a little Japanese.

ひらがな混じりの日本語でもちょっと古いのと

A bit old-fashioned Japanese mixed with hiragana.

あとサンスクリット語

Also Sanskrit.

もう全然見分からんですね

そんなのがありますよね

That kind of thing exists, doesn't it?

まあでも般若心経とかね

Well, the Heart Sutra and so on.

割と聞いたことありますよね

You've probably heard it fairly often, right?

それを20分ぐらい唱えてですね

Chant that for about 20 minutes.

その後土教が終わったら

After the dirt lesson is over.

サムっていうその

It's called "Sam."

作るに任務の無でサムなんですけど

I'm tasked with making it, but it's meaningless.

だいたい掃除を行って

Basically, I’ll do the cleaning.

掃除に全力で取り組むっていうことと

Putting all your effort into cleaning.

物に感謝するっていう意味を込めて

Incorporating the meaning of being grateful for things.

掃除を今日は床を拭いたりとかですね

Today, I wiped the floors and so on.

晴れた日は落ち葉を払ったりとか

On sunny days, I sweep away the fallen leaves.

そういった掃除をして

Do that kind of cleaning.

でだいたいなんだろう

So, what is it roughly?

7時ぐらいに朝ごはんを食べるみたいな感じで

It feels like having breakfast around 7 o'clock.

そうですね

なんだろうな、この朝シャキッとした状態で 座禅して掃除した後に食べるともう

I wonder what it is; eating after sitting in Zen meditation and cleaning in this refreshed state in the morning is just amazing.

なんでしょうね、研ぎ澄まされた味というか

I wonder what it is, a refined flavor or something.

なんか皆さんもぜひやってみるといいかもしれない

It might be a good idea for everyone to give it a try.

そうっすね、たぶんその朝のね 座禅読経からの寒っていう流れがあって

Yeah, I think there's a flow from that morning's zazen meditation to the cold.

食べるからより美味しく感じてるところもあるかなっていう気がしますね

I feel that there are aspects where it tastes better because we are eating it.

ちなみにそう、和服を着るとなんかね しがむって言われて

By the way, when I wear a kimono, it's said that I look kind of dignified.

こないだね古着屋さんで和服を買ってきて 朝から和服を着込んでやってますけど

そうっすね、なんかこうやっぱり着崩れしたりしてしまうので

That's right, you tend to end up looking disheveled sometimes.

なんかちょっとその着物に注意を払うとかそこら辺は感じてますね

I feel like I should pay a bit of attention to that kimono or something around there.

まあそんな感じで朝

Well, something like that in the morning.

そっか、なんか朝のこのルーティンというかは基本毎日ですよね

I see, this morning routine or something is pretty much every day, right?

で、土日は朝5時で平日朝4時、1時間入ってますね

So, on weekends it's at 5 AM and on weekdays at 4 AM, which means it's an hour long.

1時間早くなるっていう違いがあります

There is a difference of being one hour earlier.

もうなんか基本お寺っすね

It's basically a temple now.

うん、そうですね、本当にお寺に来た感じで

Yeah, it really feels like I've come to a temple.

道場って言ってたから

まあ岡沢なんですけど、岡沢城山ってその登山って書いてあって

本当にお寺に来た感じだなと思って

昼は大体自由なんですけど

日中はね、特にないですよね

はい、各自仕事をしてる感じで

Yes, it feels like everyone is doing their own work.

そうですね、あと夜はみんなで集まって

Well, in the evening, we all gather together.

6時ぐらいに食事を取るんですけど

I have a meal around 6 o'clock.

そこの食事っていうのがどうでしたっけ?

How was the food there?

でも基本的にお昼も含めベジタリアンですね

But basically, I’m a vegetarian, including lunch.

野菜のみです

Only vegetables.

お好み焼きが出てきたりとか、多少緩いところもありつつ、ただ基本はベジタリアン生活になっています。

There are times when okonomiyaki is served and it can be somewhat relaxed, but basically, it has become a vegetarian lifestyle.

これまた結構ね、糸島さんの食材を使ってとか、食に対するこだわりはもうすごいですね。

This is quite impressive as well; using ingredients from Itoshima and the commitment to food is remarkable.

これ、食事繋がりで洗剤とかもこだわっていて、

This is related to food, so I'm also particular about the detergent.

確かにシャンプーとかもね、海綿活性剤不使用。

Certainly, even shampoos do not use surfactants.

なんでかっていうと下水がね、ここは来てないんすよ。

The reason is that the sewage hasn't come here.

なのでそのまま土に替えるようなものしか使えないっていう。

So, it can only be used as something that directly replaces the soil.

ある意味強制的にそうなっているっていう。

In a sense, it's happening forcefully.

とは言いつつ、多分建前で、エコに配慮した。

That said, it was probably just a pretext; they considered eco-friendliness.

代々続く暮らしっていうのを、

土地を汚さないっていうところを 意識されてるのかなっていうのは

I wonder if they are conscious about not contaminating the land.

まあ下水あったとしてもね 結局それが行き着く先っていうのは

どっかの土地だったり海だったり っていうことなんで

まあ結局汚さない方が絶対いい よねっていうのを

より近い場所でやらないと 土地が自分たちのすぐ身の回り

We have to do it in a closer place; the land is right around us.

の土地が汚れてしまう っていうのがわかりやすいですよ

It's easy to understand that the land gets polluted.

ね 遠くのどこかの誰かが苦しんでる

ことってやっぱ想像しづらいん ですけど

It's hard to imagine things like that, after all.

すごい身近な話なので これがなんか自分事として考え

It's a really familiar story, so I can't help but think of it as something personal.

られるところはすごいいいなと そうですね

食材も美味しいし 海も綺麗山も綺麗っていうところ

そのためにもうこれもdiyでね トイレを作って

For that reason, I'm going to make a toilet as a DIY project.

不要度とかをトイレの中に入れて そこでもう多少分解発酵しつつ

Put the unnecessary items in the toilet and let them decompose and ferment a little there.

まあそれを最終的に 庭に

返して土を窓状に返してあげる というのをやってたりします

そこら辺もね結構 都会で暮らしてた我々からすると
