21.海外出張に不可欠なAPECビジネストラベルカード‎

今回は海外出張に欠かせないAPECビジネストラベルカードについてお話をします。

This time, I will talk about the APEC Business Travel Card, which is essential for overseas business trips.

僕は海外出張が多くてですね、毎月のようにいろんな国に行っているんですけれども、

I often go on business trips abroad, traveling to various countries almost every month.

海外出張で一番ストレスになるのが入国審査なんですよね。

The most stressful part of business trips abroad is the immigration check.

例えば、僕今月末にタイ・バンコクのスワナプーム空港に行くんですけれども、

For example, I'm going to Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand at the end of this month, but...

この空港、世界中から観光客とか出張者が来るので、すごく混み合うことが多いんですね。

This airport often gets very busy because tourists and business travelers come from all over the world.

コロナ前だと、中国人観光客が前世の時っていうのは、僕多分最長で2時間半ぐらい待ちました。

Before COVID, when Chinese tourists were in their prime, I probably waited for about two and a half hours at most.

日本から飛行機も5、6時間ぐらいかかって、クタクタになって空港に着いて、

It takes about 5 to 6 hours by plane from Japan, and by the time I arrive at the airport, I'm exhausted.

そこからまた2時間半。

Another two and a half hours from there.

2時間半とか待って、やっと入国して、そこから仕事となると、本当にクタクタだし、

Waiting for two and a half hours and finally getting through immigration, and then having to work from there is really exhausting.

行く前から気分がめいってしまうみたいなことがあるんですよね。

It's like I start feeling down even before I go.

で、今回この紹介するAPECビジネストラベルカードなんですけれども、

このカード自体は外務省が2003年から発行していてですね、今も発行しているんですけれども、

This card has been issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2003 and is still being issued now.

このカードを持っていると、対象区域でビザが不要になります。

Having this card eliminates the need for a visa in the designated area.

日本国籍、日本のパスポートがあると、僕らが行くようなメジャーな国って、ビザが免除されてるんですけれども、

With Japanese nationality and a Japanese passport, major countries that we would go to often have visa exemptions.

それプラス、このAPECビジネストラベルカード用の優先レーン、入国審査の優先レーンっていうのが使えるんですね。

In addition, you can also use the priority lane for immigration checks that comes with this APEC Business Travel Card.

そうすると、空港に着いて入国審査行って、優先レーンに行って、このAPECビジネストラベルカードを見せると、

Then, when you arrive at the airport, go to immigration, head to the priority lane, and show this APEC Business Travel Card,

ほぼ並ばずにその国に入国することができます。

You can enter the country almost without waiting in line.

で、使える国なんですけれども、オーストラリア、

So, it's a usable country, Australia,

ブルネイ、チリ、中国、香港、インドネシア、日本、韓国、マレーシア、メキシコ、ニュージーランド、パプア、ニューギニア、ペルー、フィリピン、シンガポール、台湾、あとはタイとベトナムです。

Brunei, Chile, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and then Thailand and Vietnam.

はい。僕は東南アジアの出張が多いんで、今挙げた中だと、ほとんどの国が僕がよく行く国に入っているんで、このカード、本当に重宝してます。

Yes. I travel to Southeast Asia frequently, so among the countries you mentioned, most of them are places I often visit, so this card is really useful for me.

はい。あとはですね、例えばインドネシア。

コロナ前はもうビザっていうの必要なかったんですけれども、

Before COVID, there was no need for a visa, but...

コロナ禍も今でも継続しているので、2023年6月現在も継続しているんですけれども、

The COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing, and as of June 2023, it continues.

到着ビザっていうのを取得しないと入国できなくなったんですよ。

You can't enter the country without obtaining an arrival visa.

この到着ビザっていうのがだいたい日本円で今5000円くらい、4000円とか5000円くらいかかるんで、

This arrival visa costs about 5000 yen, roughly around 4000 to 5000 yen.

それはAPECビジネストラベルカードがあると、この到着ビザっていうのも不要になります。

With the APEC Business Travel Card, this arrival visa is also unnecessary.

あとはベトナムもそうなんですけれども、

Well, the same goes for Vietnam.

ベトナムは入国するのに観光ビザとか必要はないんですけれども、免除されているので。

You don't need a tourist visa to enter Vietnam because it is exempted.

ただ、ベトナムに入国して出国しました。

I just entered and exited Vietnam.

出国したら、確か30日以内にベトナムに再入国するにはビザを取得しないといけないんですね。

Once you leave the country, you must obtain a visa to re-enter Vietnam within 30 days, right?

それがこのAPECビジネストラベルカードがあると、それが不要になります。

With this APEC Business Travel Card, it becomes unnecessary.

なので本当にこのASEANで仕事をする、よく出張する人はこのAPECビジネストラベルカード、

So for those who truly work in ASEAN and frequently travel for business, this APEC Business Travel Card...

本当に持っておいて損はないと思います。

I really think it's worth having.

僕の場合はこのカードがないと、本当に入国審査が爆速で続かできます。

In my case, without this card, the immigration inspection can really proceed at lightning speed.

このカードっていうのは、あくまで出張者が使うカードなので、

This card is primarily for use by the business traveler, so...

例えば家族旅行で観光に行くときは、これは使えません。

For example, this cannot be used when going on a family trip for sightseeing.

あとは現地で商談をするとか、展示会に出席するとか、

"Then, we have things like negotiating on-site or attending trade shows."

そういうのを目的としているカードなので、

It's a card intended for that kind of purpose, so...

向こうで本当にビジネスをしてお金をいただきますみたいなことは、このカードは使えません。

"This card cannot be used for conducting real business and receiving money over there."

もし向こうで仕事をしてお金を受け取るっていう場合はですね、

If you are working over there and receiving money, then...

必ず現地の商用ビザ、ビジネスビザっていうのを取得してくださいっていうのが、

"Please make sure to obtain the local commercial visa, also known as a business visa."

その他にもいろいろ注意点があるんですけども、ちょっとそれは全部説明できないので、

このカードの取得方法なんですけれども、すごく難しいと思われてるんですけれども、

実はそんなことはなくて、さっき挙げた国によく出張で行かれる方は、

Actually, that's not the case; the person who frequently travels on business to the countries mentioned earlier,

大体の方が対象者だと思います。

I think most people are the target.

金額は別にいくらでもいいんですけれども、

The amount can be anything else, but...

その対象の国との間で貿易または投資実績があればOKということで、

僕の会社はですね、タイとかカンボジアと、ごめんなさい、カンボジアは今回入ってないですね。

タイの企業と取引があるんで、そのタイの会社との取引の明細、インボイスとか領収書とかを発行できれば、

Since we have business dealings with a company in Thailand, if you could issue details of the transactions with that Thai company, such as invoices and receipts,

APECビジネストラベルカードを取得できます。

You can obtain the APEC Business Travel Card.

他には顔写真とか、あとはパスポートとか、あとは在籍証明書、あとは等規模とか、

Other than that, there are facial photos, then passports, also certificate of enrollment, and also property registration, etc.

あと会社のパンフレット、なければウェブサイトとか、

Also, if there are no company brochures, maybe the website or something.

あとは収入印紙が1万3千円ぐらい必要です。

Additionally, you will need about 13,000 yen in revenue stamps.

なので大したお金もかからなくて、このカードを取得することができます。

So it doesn't cost much money, and you can obtain this card.

ただこれ、カードを申請してから実際に発行されるまで半年ぐらいかかります。

However, it takes about six months from the application for the card to its actual issuance.

さっきちょっとホームページ見たんですけれども、今ちょっとこのカードの申請がたくさん来てるみたいで、

発行されるまでにもう少し時間がかかるみたいです。
