僕はこの本読んで知識は得ましたが

I gained knowledge from reading this book, but...

抜本的に行動が変わったかっていうと

When it comes to whether actions have fundamentally changed,

行動はそこまで抜本的に変わってなくて

The actions haven't really changed drastically that much.

だけどiPhone捨てる時とかは

But when you throw away an iPhone,

やっぱりちゃんとしたリサイクル業者に出そうとか

I guess I should properly send it to a legitimate recycling company.

可能な限り長く使おうみたいなことは

Let's try to use it for as long as possible.

だいぶ考えるようにはなりましたね

You've started to think quite a bit, haven't you?

なるほどまあまあまあまあ

I see, well, well, well, well.

使える限りは使おうという気持ちになり

I feel the urge to use it as much as I can.

なんか別にOSが古かろうが

It doesn't really matter if the OS is old.

別にそんなに最新のアプリを入れるってこともないですし

It's not like I really need to install the latest apps anyway.

それでいいかなっていうふうには思ってるんですけど

ここまでねTHE ONE DEVICE編やってきて

So far, I've been working on THE ONE DEVICE edition.

まあ率直な感想をまず原田さんに聞いてみたいと思います

Appleはほんまに革新的なのかなと

抜本的にじゃあ僕行動変容を起こしたかって言われると

If you ask me whether I've fundamentally changed my behavior,

全く起きてなくて

I'm completely awake.

それゆえにやっぱりiPhoneってすげえなって逆に思っちゃった

That's why I ended up thinking that the iPhone is really amazing.

これどうしたらいいんでしょう

What should I do about this?

いかに僕らが僕らというか僕はですけど

How we are, or rather, how I am.

僕はもう囚われてんなと思うんですよ

I think I'm already trapped.

多分何かその本当にセンセーショナルな社会が動かない限りは

"Maybe something will not really change in that sensational society."

僕は多分やっぱりiPhoneはまだ使うと思うんですよ

I think I will probably still use my iPhone after all.

選べない状況をずっと続けるのかっていう

だからもうそれくらい逆にだからすごいなって思いました

Appleがもう選択してるわけですよね

っていうような状況にもう置かれてんなって思ってますね

I feel like I'm already in a situation like that.

これって相当すごいですよね

マーケティングってレベルじゃないじゃないですか

食べさせてる人に

To the person who is feeding.

いきなり野菜ばっかり食えって言ったって

Even if you suddenly tell me to eat just vegetables.

無理じゃないですか

だから結局

これを知って

Knowing this

iPhoneを使うことをやめられる人は

People who can stop using their iPhone.

ベジタリアンになる人と同じ

だからここのデザインしてんのでも学んだけど

So I've learned from designing here.

I find myself thinking I want to eat it, or something like that.

それと一緒ですね

iPhoneを使うことをやめられない

I can't stop using my iPhone.

その欲求の刺激の仕方がすごい過激ですよね

The way they stimulate that desire is really intense, isn't it?

本能の部分に多分来てるんですよ

It's probably coming from a part of instinct.

脳髄をやっぱり掴まれてんやろなっていう

I guess it's like having my brain grabbed, after all.

だからやめれないようにやっちゃってるよなって

That's why I'm doing it in a way that I can't stop, right?

ていうか自分がやめれたとしてもですよ

Even if I could quit, though...

周りとの関係性がすでに構築されてる中で

In a situation where relationships with those around you have already been established.

自分だけがやめれないわけで

It's not that I can't stop just because I'm the only one.

僕だけじゃないですよね

I'm not the only one, right?

ソサエティーがあるんですよ

There is a society.

iPhoneによって作られてる

Made by iPhone.

だからキャンセルもできないですよ

So you can't cancel it either.

どれだけこのデザインしてんの

How long have you been working on this design?

このシーズン13聞いて

iPhone嫌いやってなっても

Even if you say you dislike the iPhone,

スマートフォン嫌いやってなっても

Even if you say you hate smartphones,

そのなかった時代に戻れないじゃないですか

We can't go back to that time that didn't exist, can we?

不可逆的というか

It's not so much irreversible.

そもそもデザイン視点聞くためにはほぼスマホですからね

In the first place, it's almost always a smartphone when it comes to asking for design perspectives.

パソコンで聞いてる人も割と少ないとか

There are relatively few people listening on their computers.

あんま変わらんしそれやから

It's pretty much the same, so that's why.

てかその辺のテクノロジーがなければ

Well, without that kind of technology...

これをお届けすることもなかったんですよ

自分の考え方をちゃんと見つけていってほしいなと

What's amazing about humans is this desire to truly know and understand things.

だって他の動物そんなないですよ

Because there aren't many other animals like that.

知識欲の概念は知識

The concept of the desire for knowledge is knowledge.

動物にとってはさるとかゴリラとか学びたがるみたいなのがあるけど

It seems that animals, like monkeys and gorillas, have a desire to learn.

こういう学びたがってんすかね

I wonder if they're eager to learn like this.

どうなんでしょうねあれも分かんないですね

I wonder about that; I don't really understand it either.

動物園にいるのはそうかもしれないですよ

It might be the case that they're at the zoo.

餌もらうために

To receive food.

だけど野生にいるやつは学びたいと思ってるんかな

But I wonder if those in the wild want to learn.

でも日本じゃね人間はそういう欲求がね知識欲がね

But in Japan, people have that kind of desire, that thirst for knowledge.

だからどうやって構築されるんだろう

考えて骨をこう振り下ろすシーンから始まるんですよ

知識を得るわけですよ

その時点で始まってるんですよ

これを振り落としたらどうなるのかっていうね

The culmination of that is...

オッペンハイマーの原子力爆弾だし

It's Oppenheimer's atomic bomb.

知識欲が行き過ぎたがために

Because of excessive curiosity.

一個の爆弾で何十万人も殺せるようなものにしてしまってるわけで

It's something that could kill hundreds of thousands of people with just one bomb.

だけど知識欲自体が悪いわけじゃないんですよ

But the desire for knowledge itself is not a bad thing.

それをちゃんと判断する哲学的な部分を

The philosophical aspect that properly judges that.

みんなが持つようなものがあるんですよ

There's something that everyone has.

それが必要があって

Because it is necessary.

みんながいろんなことをちゃんと理解した上で

As long as everyone properly understands various things.

僕も含めて全員がいろんなことをたくさん雑食になった上で

Including myself, everyone has become quite omnivorous in various aspects.

皆さんが出した結論だったら

If it was the conclusion you all reached.

多分誰も文句言わないはずなんです

Maybe no one will complain.

だからそこは文句言わんと言うよりかは

So rather than complaining about that,

そうなるのが自然淘汰的な感じがします

It feels like that is a result of natural selection.

本当の多数決というか

It's more like a true majority vote.

選択による

It depends on the selection.

みんながこの

Everyone is this

選んできた結果ですよね

It's the result of the choices I've made, isn't it?

今も大勢の選択の結果の果てにいるんやろうけど

I guess I'm still at the end of many choices made.

ただ今回のワンデバイス編みたいな話を

iPhoneを使ってる人たちの何割が知ってんのかって言う話ですよね

It's a question of what percentage of people using iPhones actually know about it, right?

僕らがこれを届けれたというのは大きいです

It's significant that we were able to deliver this.

ササインだけでも行動の一つだし

そこで自分たちが矛盾を抱えながら

あれもやっぱりなんか極端やなと思っていて
