エピソード１: フリーランス旅の始まり

はい、どうも皆さんこんにちは。カズと申します。私のですね、ポッドキャストを聞いてくださりありがとうございます。

今回はですね、なんと第1回記念すべきポッドキャストということでですね、

This time, we have the first commemorative podcast, so...

このポッドキャストをなんで始めようかと思ったのかとか、今後どういったことを話していこうかというところですね、話させていただこうと思います。

I would like to talk about why I thought of starting this podcast and what kind of topics I plan to discuss in the future.

で、まずですね、このポッドキャストを始めようと思ったきっかけなんですけれども、

So, first of all, the reason I decided to start this podcast is...

最近ですね、パスポートを取得しまして、

Recently, I obtained a passport, and

元々その理由というのは、アメリカにですね、あるマーケティングビジネス系のイベントがあったので、

The original reason was that there was a marketing business event in America, so...

それに参加するためにですね、パスポートを取っていきました。

I took my passport to participate in it.

で、本当に色々ですね、時期も時期だったので、

Well, there were really a lot of things, and since it was that time of year...

色んな書類とか集めて大変で、途中も本当に行きたくないなと思ったんですけれども、

It was tough gathering various documents, and there were moments when I really didn't want to go, but...

実際行ってみてですね、本当に行ってよかったなと思いました。

I actually went there, and I really thought it was a good decision to go.

そのイベント自体もものすごくよかったんですけれども、

The event itself was incredibly good, but...

やっぱり普段ですね、生活しているところから飛び出して、

As expected, you jump out from where you usually live.

やっぱり海外に行くっていうのは、コンフォートゾーンの本当にそれこそ外側ですし、

Going abroad is truly outside of my comfort zone, after all.

うまくいかないことの方が多いですよね。

There are often more things that don't go well, right?

トラブルももちろんありましたし、飛行機に乗れるか乗れないかというようなトラブルもありました。

There were of course troubles, including issues about whether I could board the plane or not.

ただそういうところも含めて、全部本当に経験して、

Just including those aspects, I truly experienced everything.

なんか今まで同じところにですね、いて、

I've been in the same place until now.

自分の成長、まあ居心地はよかったんですけれども、

My own growth, well, it felt comfortable, but...

自分が成長していないなってすごく感じたんですよね。

I really felt that I wasn't growing.

なんか成長のために色んなことができると思うんですけれども、

I think there are various things that can be done for growth, but...

なんかそれがちょっと僕が旅なのかなというふうに感じたので、

I felt that was part of my journey.

このですね、パスポートも取ったし、海外旅行も行ったしっていう機会に、

Well, I got my passport, and I've also gone on an overseas trip.

この機会をですね、

This opportunity, you know,

利用して、まあそういう、なんですかね、

Using it, well, what can I say...

もっと行きたいなっていう流れになったという形ですね。

It has become a situation where I feel like I want to go more.

で、まあそれがポッドキャストをですね、始める理由の一つになったんですけれども、

Well, that's one of the reasons why I started the podcast.

まあ今後じゃあその旅をですね、していくのであれば、

どうせなら記録を取っておこうということですね、始めました。

In that case, I thought I might as well keep a record, so I started.

なので、誰が聞いてくれるかわからないですし、

どういったですね、情報を提供するかというのはまだ決めてはないんですけれども、

I haven't decided yet what kind of information to provide, but...

ただまあ自分もですね、

いろんなポッドキャストを聞いて、

Listening to various podcasts,

なんかすごくこう、

It's really something like,

旅に行きたいなとか、いろんな本当に有益な情報をですね、

I want to go on a trip and gather various truly valuable information.

もらったりしてたりするので、

Since I receive things and such,

僕が記録を残すことで一人でもですね、

By leaving a record, even if it's just for one person,

本当に一人だけでも、

Even just one person, truly,

誰が役に立てればやる価値があるんじゃないかなと思ったので、

I thought it would be valuable if it could be of help to someone.

これを取ることにしました。

I have decided to take this.

なので、まあそうですね、

Well, yes, that's right.

きっかけとしては、まあそういった形ですね。

As a trigger, well, that's how it is.

で、今後ですね、どういった内容か、

So, in the future, what kind of content will it be?

まあそこまでわからないんですけども、

Well, I don’t really understand that much, but…

正直あまり決めてはないんですけれども、

To be honest, I haven't really decided much, but...

まあ僕がですね、旅をこれからしていきたいっていうのはあるので、

Well, I do have a desire to travel from now on.

まあ旅のことについてですね、

Well, it's about travel, you see.

について話していこうかなっていうのと、

I think I'll talk about it.

あとは、まあ仕事ですね、

Well, the rest is work, I suppose.

今、仕事をフリーランスですね、

I am currently working as a freelancer.

こちらの漁業主としてやっているので、

Since I am the owner of this fishing business,

まあそこと、まあ旅ですね、

Well, that's that, and well, it's a journey.

まあ仕事に対するパッションみたいなものもあったりするので、

Well, there is also a kind of passion towards work, so...

その仕事と旅をどういうふうに両立させるのか、

How do you balance that job and traveling?

両立させるというのが一つ目標でもありますし

One of the goals is to achieve a balance.

将来的には

In the future,

拠点を持たずに今はですね

I don’t currently have a base.

東京に拠点があって

Based in Tokyo.

旅をですね

It's a journey.

定期的にしていくというのが目標なんですけども

My goal is to do it regularly.

ゆくゆくは拠点を持たずに

In the future, without having a base.

やってもいいのかなと思ったりはしています

I sometimes think it's okay to do it.

なのでそこも含めてですね

So that also includes that aspect.

自分の目標達成であるだとか

Such as achieving one's own goals.

自分がですね

It's about me, you see.

旅に行っている時の様子

The state of being while on a trip.

旅での話とか

Stories from the journey.

フリーランスとして

As a freelancer

成長していく姿とかですね

It's about the appearance of growing up.

記録に残して

Please keep a record.

それを誰かに聞いてもらえばいいな

I hope someone will listen to it.

というようなところですね

アメリカに行って

Go to America.

アメリカに行った時に

When I went to America

1ヶ月に頑張って

Do your best for a month.

1回ぐらいは旅してやろうという風に

"Let's travel at least once."

目標を立てたので

Since I set a goal

頑張ってその目標を達成したいなと思っているんですけども

I really want to work hard and achieve that goal.

今度ですね

早速10月の末に

Right at the end of October.

タイバンコクに行くことになりました

I have decided to go to Bangkok.

これはもうアメリカに行って

This is already going to America.

本当にその勢いのままですね

You're really going strong, aren't you?

チケットを購入して

Purchase the tickets.

そこで滞在する

Stay there.

5日間ぐらいの滞在なので

Since it will be a stay of about five days.

そんなに長くはないんですけども

It's not that long, but...

仕事が両立できるのか

Can I balance work?

基本的に仕事ができるのか

Can you basically do the job?

そのことは僕オンラインで全部ですね

That is all online for me.

やっているので

Because I am doing it.

そのオンラインの仕事とか

That online job or something.

時差も含めてできるのか

Can it be done including the time difference?

アメリカに行った時は

When I went to America

めちゃめちゃですね

It's a mess, isn't it?

時差の関係がすごかったです

The time difference was amazing.

これもちょっとですね

This is a little bit too much as well.
