まあいわゆるいろんな映画賞のノミネート作品だったり ノミネート候補が発表されるそんな賞レース真っ只中でございますが

Well, we are right in the middle of the award season, where various film awards nominations and nominees are being announced.

この収録を行う数時間前にですね ゴールデンラズベリー賞いわゆるラジー賞の

候補が発表されましてこのラジー賞 もしかしたらねご存知でない方もいらっしゃるかとは思うんですけれども

The nominees have been announced, and there may be some of you who are not familiar with the Razzies.

毎年ですねアメリカの本家のアカデミー賞の前夜祭として行われる まあ映画の祭典でして

Every year, there is a film festival held as a pre-event to the Academy Awards in America.

アカデミー賞とは真逆の毎年最低な映画だったり最低な演技だったり そういったものを

Movies or performances that are the absolute worst every year, completely the opposite of the Academy Awards.

選出するそういったねあのアワードと

It seems like they're selecting that kind of award.

なっておりますけれどもこのラジー賞毎年まああのアカデミー賞とセットでほんと 注目されることが多いんですが今年はマリリン・モンローも電気映画でもあります

It is indeed the case that the Razzie Awards are often highlighted alongside the Academy Awards every year, but this year, Marilyn Monroe is also featured in a film about electricity.

映画が最多で8つの候補にノミネートされたということで

すごい毎年楽しませていただいておりますけれども

I'm really enjoying it every year.

今ちょうどこの賞レース

真っ只中ということもあって

Because it's right in the middle of it.

いろんな映画賞があって

There are various movie awards.

各賞ごとにいろんな特徴が違いますから

Each award has different characteristics.

なんかそういった意味でも

In that sense, too.

映画ファンはもちろんなんですけれども

Of course, it's for movie fans, but...

普段あんまりこういう賞とか

I usually don't get these kinds of awards.

注目してこられなかった方も

For those who haven't been paying attention.

意外といろんな賞を注目して見てみると

また映画を見る上で楽しさが増えていきますので

中国映画の福岡県柳川を舞台にしました

I would like to talk about the Chinese movie "Liugawa."

Depicting the emotions of people who bear a sense of loss with a gentle touch.

この映画は中国映画の中で

This movie is among Chinese films.

中年男性ドンは自分が不治の病に侵されていることを知り

Middle-aged man Don learns that he is afflicted with an incurable disease.

長年疎遠になっていた兄チュンを誘って柳川へ旅行することに

I decided to invite my brother Chun, whom I hadn't been close to for many years, to travel to Yanagawa.

柳川は北京語でリューチュアンと読み

Yanagawa is read as "Liúchùan" in Mandarin.

それは二人が青春時代に愛した女性リューチュアンの名前と同じだった

It was the same name as the woman Ryuchuan whom the two loved during their youth.

20年前兄チュンの恋人だったチュアンは

Twenty years ago, Chuan, who was my brother Chun's girlfriend, is...

誰にも理由を告げぬまま突然姿を消し

Suddenly disappeared without telling anyone the reason.

現在は柳川で暮らしている

I currently live in Yanagawa.

柳川を訪れた兄弟はついにチュアンと再会を果たすが

The brothers who visited Yanagawa finally reunite with Chuan.

日本からは池松壮介、中野良子さんなどが参加

Sosuke Ikematsu and Yoshiko Nakano from Japan are participating.

ということでですね

まず今作の舞台となった福岡県柳川市なんですけれども

First of all, the setting of this work is Yanagawa City in Fukuoka Prefecture.

僕は2回ほど実は観光しに行ったことがありまして

Actually, I have gone sightseeing about twice.

ものすごく本当に美しい

Incredibly, truly beautiful.

タイムスリップしたかのような風情が

It has a charm as if it has slipped through time.

ある街並みなんですね

It's a certain streetscape.

日本のベニスとも呼ばれている

It is also referred to as the Venice of Japan.

いわゆる水豪なんですけれども

It's what you call a water disaster, but...

本当に木が止まったかのような空気感がありまして

It feels as if the trees have truly come to a halt.

一番のこの柳川の楽しみ方っていうのが

The best way to enjoy Yanagawa is...

川下りなんですけれども

It's about river rafting.

いわゆる大体10人もう少し乗れるのかなぐらい乗れる

So-called, roughly around 10 people, maybe a little more can fit.

船に乗って

Get on the boat.

それを船頭さんがゆっくりこの船を漕ぎ込んでいるときに

As the boatman slowly paddles the boat in.

いわゆる柳川の歴史であったり

It was the so-called history of Yanagawa.

あとは歌とかを歌いながらね

"Then we'll sing songs and such."

1時間ぐらいかけてゆっくり川下りをしていくというのが

It means taking about an hour to slowly go down the river.

一番の観光スポットとなっているわけなんですけれども

It has become the number one tourist spot.

僕はこの柳川をこの映画を見たときに

When I saw this movie, I thought of Yanagawa.

これはもうまさしくこの物語から

This is definitely from this story.

この舞台柳川市を選んだんではなくて

It’s not that I chose Yanagawa City as the stage.

これ絶対にこの柳川市が

This will definitely be Yanagawa City.

柳川市っていう舞台ありきで

It's based in a place called Yanagawa City.

この舞台から物語が出来上がったんじゃないかって

I wonder if the story was created from this stage.

僕は思ったぐらい

I thought so.

見事に街の景観だったり

It was a magnificent cityscape.

街の空気感っていうのが物語にマッチしているんですよね

The atmosphere of the town really matches the story.

それもそうですし

That's true as well.

あとはほとんど全編中国映画などって

The rest is mostly entirely Chinese films, etc.

中国語で演じられているわけなんですけれども

It is being performed in Chinese, you see.

ところどころ北京語が出てきたりして

Occasionally, some Mandarin comes out.

なんかその上品な音の響きっていうのも

Somehow, that elegant sound resonance is also...

すごくこの柳川に合ってました

It really suited Yanagawa very well.

であとはすごいストーリーがすごい繊細な情感を描いているので

And the story is描いている so it expresses very delicate emotions.

この繊細さを崩さない

Do not compromise this delicacy.

池松宗介さんの独特な間の取り方というか

It's like Sōsuke Ikematsu's unique sense of timing.

空気感もそうですし

It's about the atmosphere as well.

あとはもう大御所の中野涼子さんの演技も素晴らしかったですし

Moreover, the performance of the great Ryoko Nakano was also wonderful.

なんかあのもう街の景観そして出演者の演技

Somehow, the city's scenery and the performances of the cast.

そしてこの言葉の響き

And the sound of these words.

もう全てがなんか織物のように重なり合って

Everything is somehow overlapping like a tapestry.

僕はすごく見ていて心地が良かったですね

I found it very pleasant to watch.

もう心地良すぎて

It's just too comfortable.

少し逆にあのすごくいい意味で眠受けさえ湧いてきた

In a way, it even made me feel a bit drowsy in a really good sense.

そんな作品でした

It was such a work.

なのであの今作は割と起承転結がはっきりした作品が好きなので

So, I really like works that have a clear structure of exposition, development, turn, and conclusion.

好きな方にとってはもしかしたらちょっと退屈に感じてしまう側面もあるのかなとは思いましたね

I thought that for those who like it, there might be aspects that could feel a bit boring.

でもだからこそなんかこう自宅でこれ見ちゃうと色々気が散っちゃって

But precisely because of that, when I watch this at home, I get really distracted by various things.

あのこの世界観というのが楽しさが半減しちゃうと思うので

I think the enjoyment of this world view would be reduced by half.

だからこそこれはなんか映画館で見て良かったなと思えた作品でした

That's why I felt it was a work that was truly worth seeing in a movie theater.

あとは言葉を口に出したりするタイプで

まあ割と結構真逆で

感情に対しても逆にこう理性が働きすぎて

On the contrary, reason works too much against emotions.

なんか周りからはいまいちこう掴めない

I feel like I can't really grasp it from my surroundings.

不思議なキャラになっているんですよね

It's become a mysterious character, hasn't it?

であのー僕はこの二人って一見こうもちろん正反対なように見えて

Well, these two may seem completely opposite at first glance, but...

こうすごく自分の湧いてきた感情に見置いてるっていう点では

In this sense, it really emphasizes how I'm being conscious of the emotions that have welled up within me.

似ているなと感じました

I felt that they were similar.

であのーまあこの

Well, um, this...

えーと

お兄さんのチュンは感情のまま自分を動かして

Brother's Chun moves himself according to his emotions.

そしてドンは感情に身を任せているっていう

And Don is said to be letting his emotions take over.

その光景自体も僕はまさしくこの柳川の川下りといった部分が

That scene itself is precisely the part of this Yanagawa riverboat ride.

すごいマッチしているなと

It really matches well.

あのーまあつまり船にただただ乗っているっていう

Um, well, essentially it just means that I'm simply on the ship.

この船をこの二人の船を感情だと表すと

If we express this ship as the emotions of these two people.

つまりこの船に乗っているという感情が

In other words, the feeling of being on this ship is...

この船に乗っているっていうのが弟のドンで

My brother Don is on this ship.

でこの船を漕いでいる船頭さんっていうのが僕はチュンだなと

The boatman rowing this boat is what I think of as Chun.

なんかそういったところでも僕は見ていて

I’ve been watching things like that.

もうあのーシンクロしすぎててちょっと途中からすごく魅了されたんですよね

I was so captivated by it that I became really fascinated halfway through because it was just too synchronized.

でそこにこうあの二人が愛したえっとまあチュアンが加わるんですけど

And then there, those two who loved each other—well, Chuan will join in.

このチュアンは

This chuang is

えーとどちらかっていうと

Well, more like...

自分の感情が

My emotions.

自分の感情っていうのがいまいち

I'm not quite sure about my feelings.

んーまあ整理ができない

Hmm, well, I can't seem to get organized.

いまいち自分の中でも掴めていないそういうタイプで

I still can't quite grasp that type within myself.

まあ二人がこの乗っている船にこのチュアンがね乗ってきた時に

Well, when the two of them boarded this ship, this Chuan came aboard too.

もうなんとも言えない三人のこの

I can't say anything about these three anymore.

えーとまあ

Um, well...

なんだろうなバランスが悪いって言っちゃちょっと違う例えかもしれないんですけれども

I wonder, it might be a bit of a different analogy to say that the balance is bad.

なんかそこの三人が重なり合う

It seems like the three people over there are overlapping.

時間の描き方っていうのがほんとに絶妙で

The way time is depicted is truly exquisite.

なんかね見ていて

"Well, you know, while watching..."

はがやくもなったんですけれども

あのーよくねあの長年会ってない友人だとか

Um, you often think about friends you haven't seen in a long time, right?

あとはたまたま会ってしまってもっと恋人のかと

なんだろうな自分の中ではその時の記憶だったり思い出っていうところで

I wonder, in my mind, it's about the memories and thoughts from that time.

時間が止まってるんだけど

再会した途端に

The moment we reunited.

いや時間は実は止まってなくて

No, time hasn't actually stopped.

動いてたんだっていうそこに

I heard that it was moving there.

なんか切なさを感じたりする部分があると思うんですけれども

I think there are parts that evoke a sense of sadness.

なんかねその感じがすごくこの映画は描かれていたなと思いましたね

I felt that this feeling was really portrayed in this movie.

であのー

これもいろんな見方ができるとは思うんですけれども

まあこのチュアンに対して

Well, regarding this Chuan...

生松壮介さん演じる中山っていう男も

The man named Nakayama played by Sosuke Namamatsu is also...

まあ好意を抱いているんだけれども

Well, I have feelings for you.

でもその好意っていうのがチュアンにとっては

But that kindness is, for Chuan,

好きなん嫌いではないし好きなんだけど

I don't dislike you; I like you, but...

なんか一緒にいる人ではないなっていう

I feel like you’re not someone I want to be with.

そういった違和感とかっていうのがあって

で一方で僕はチュアンが一番

なんかその思いをまっすぐ受け止められた相手っていうのが

It seems that the person who could directly accept those feelings is...

やっぱ弟のドンの思いだと思っていて

I still think it’s my brother Don's feelings.

ドンはその自分の感情に対して確かにこう

Don certainly felt this way about his own emotions.

あまりえっと

Well, um...

なんかその感情を伝えたり動いたり行動に移したり

Somehow convey that emotion, move, and take action.

っていうのはできないと思うんですけど

I don't think I can do that.

できないんだけれども

I can't do it, but...

でもこのチュアンに対しては非常にまっすぐだったんですよね

But with this Chuan, I was very straightforward, you know.

だからその好意っていうのが僕はチュアンはまっすぐ逆に

So that kindness, for me, it's the opposite of what Chuan is straight ahead.

それを受け止めきれた

I was able to accept that.

受け止めていたんだけれども

I was accepting it, though.

でもチュアンは自分の相手きた感情に対して

But for Chuan, regarding the feelings that came up for his partner...

整理ができない性格だから

Because I have a personality that can't organize things.

なんかそこでもすごくあのこう

Somehow, even there, it's really like...

うまく噛み合わないっていうところがね

It's the part where things just don't quite fit together.

また何とも言えない世界観を生んでいて

It creates an indescribable worldview.

であの僕がすごい好きだったシーンは

Well, the scene that I really loved was...

やっぱりラストシーンで

As expected, in the last scene...

あの残念ながらこう弟のドンは

Unfortunately, my younger brother Don...

まあ富士の病で亡くなっちゃうわけなんですけれども

Well, they end up passing away due to Mount Fuji's illness.

この弟が残していたテープっていうのを

This tape that my younger brother left behind.

まあ兄からチュアンは渡されるんですね

Well, it seems that Chuan will be handed over from my brother.

でそのテープを聞くと

And when I listen to that tape...

えっとチュアンがアカペラでこう歌を口ずさんでいる

でそれをチュアンは聞きながら

ちゃんと説明ができないんだけれども

そういった感情っていうのが

湧き起こってきたと思うんですよ

I think it has risen up.

ただもう彼はこの世にはいなくて

"He's just no longer in this world."

あのこの自分が湧いてきた感情っていうのが

The emotions that have arisen within me about that child are...

ただただ漂っていて

Just drifting aimlessly.

行くつく先がまたないっていう

It says that there's nowhere to go.

なんかそういったところも

Somewhere like that too.

終わり方

そういった終わり方も

That kind of ending too.

すごく僕はうまいなと

I think I'm really good.

この監督の

思いました

I thought.

なのでこのチュアンもそうだし

So this Chuans is the same.

お兄さんもお兄さん

Well, a little brother is still a little brother.

そして池松総筋寺中山も

自分が抱いてきた感情の

The emotions I have held.

行くつく先っていうのを

Where you are heading to

すごく

行く先をこう探している

I am searching for the way forward.

探しても結局でもね

Even if I search for it, in the end...

なんか見つからず漂っていて

Just drifting around without finding anything.

この物語は僕は終わった感じがしていて

I feel like this story is over for me.

うーん

Hmm.

でもその

But that

なんだろうな

I wonder what it is.

ただ

ただよってる感じっていうのが

It's that feeling of being adrift.

またこの

"Again this"

柳川の街並みにマッチしていて

It matches the streetscape of Yanagawa.

すごく本当に何度も言うんですけど

I really have to say it many times, but...

見てて心地が良かったですし

It felt pleasant to watch.

なんか僕は本当この映画

I really feel like this movie is something.

映画館で鑑賞できてよかったなと思った

I'm glad I was able to watch it in the theater.

そんな一本でした

It was quite a piece.

なのであのなんかあんまり中国映画

So, it's just that I don't really watch Chinese movies much.

僕見ないんですけれども

I don't watch it, though.

なんか本当にとにかく美しい

Somehow, it's really so beautiful.

そういった作品柳川でございました
