だいぶね1年間ぐらいあの間が空いてしまったんですけどもちょっと趣向をこらえて まあ行きたいと思います

It's been quite a while, about a year, but I think I'll change things up a bit and go for it.

最近なんですけども 同級生、高校の同級生の

It's recent, but from a classmate, a high school classmate.

お誕生日というのをやりまして その誕生日の人は5月だったんですけど

We celebrated a birthday, and the person whose birthday it was was in May.

開催したのは6月にやりました

It was held in June.

ケーキを買ってきてですね

I bought a cake.

あの54歳だったので

Because he was 54 years old.

I managed to get the usual 5 and 4 candles.

I sensed that it seemed like a real challenge, but I tried my best.

デザートの

Dessert's

風紀堂さんってあの 近所の和菓子屋さんがあるんですけども

There's a traditional Japanese sweet shop called Fuki-do nearby.

できたて生クリーム大福を持参しました

I brought freshly made cream daifuku.

3種類ありまして フレーンとイチゴと抹茶ですね

There are three types: plain, strawberry, and matcha.

でまぁ当日の出来立てなんで

Well, it's freshly made on that day.

お餅はね

Rice cakes, you see.

新鮮で中は生クリームがふわふわということで非常に

It is very fresh and the inside is filled with fluffy whipped cream.

美味しい大福になっています

It has become delicious daifuku.

どうもあの楽天でなかなかね

It's difficult to deal with that Rakuten, isn't it?

手に入りにくいというものだったんですけども

It was something that was hard to come by.

まああのお店に直接ね

まあ朝10時ぐらいオープンなので

生クリーム大福を買いに行って

I'm going to buy fresh cream daifuku.

で友人を迎えに行って

I went to pick up a friend.

だいたい一日でね

In about a day.

だいたい11時半ぐらいですね

It's about 11:30.

到着という感じでした

It felt like arriving.

まあ友人たちはですね

まあおしゃれな料理を持ち込んだりですね

Well, bringing in some stylish dishes, you know.

That's called "tenmaki."

エビの天ぷらをですね

It's shrimp tempura, you know.

まあおにぎりで作った天巻きがあったりですね

Well, there were temaki made with rice balls.

高級なお肉を使ったローストビーフがあったりですね

There was roast beef made with premium meat.

まあ奈良の方から柿の葉寿司を持ってきてもらったりですね

Well, I've had someone bring me sushi wrapped in persimmon leaves from Nara.
