Journey to the World Heritage of Rajireki

ということで皆様世界遺産の旅

So, everyone, it's a journey to the World Heritage sites.

ずっとね33カ国を回ってきたんですけれども

I have been traveling around 33 countries for a long time.

去年2023年版ということで回ってきました

I received this as the 2023 edition from last year.

でその後最後にね我々日本についてもね紹介したいなということで

And after that, I'd like to introduce Japan as well.

日本の世界遺産って言ったらそれは京都とか五福島神社とか

When it comes to Japan's World Heritage sites, that would be places like Kyoto or Itsukushima Shrine.

皆さんご存知の世界遺産っていうのはたくさんあると思います

I think there are many world heritage sites that everyone is familiar with.

特に僕はね自分が中学受験をするタイミングで初めて

Especially for me, it was the first time I took the junior high school entrance exam.

日本がユネスコのこの世界遺産条約の適用とかねその辺が進んで

Japan is progressing with the application of this UNESCO World Heritage Convention and related matters.

1994年95年からバババッと日本の世界遺産が登録されていくという流れになりました

From 1994 to 1995, there was a trend of rapidly registering Japan's World Heritage sites.

それからもう30年近く経ってますので

It's been nearly 30 years since then.

日本に世界遺産があるということはね

The fact that there are World Heritage Sites in Japan means that...

皆さんご存知だと思います

I think everyone is aware.

今言った京都奈良姫路城

Kyoto, Nara, Himeji Castle.

日光なんかもねありますし

There are also things like sunlight.

日光なんか皆さんご存知のものもたくさんあると思うんですけれども

I think there are many things about Nikko that everyone is familiar with.

一体そもそも世界遺産っていうのは日本に一体いくつあるのか

How many World Heritage Sites are there in Japan, to begin with?

自然遺産置いといてるんですよ

They are leaving the natural heritage aside.

八久杉とかね北海道とかも

Like Yagisugi and Hokkaido too.

しれとこ半島とか色々と自然遺産ありますけれども

There are various natural heritage sites like the Shiretoko Peninsula.

僕もねちゃんと数えたの初めてでしたが

It was my first time counting properly too.

実は20個ありました

Actually, there were 20 of them.

全部で20個の世界遺産の登録があるということになっております

感じで5個から10個の間は結構皆さんいけると思うんだけど

I think most people can manage between 5 to 10 of those quite well.

20個は確かにそれぐらいありそうなんだけど

It definitely seems like there could be around 20 of them.

軍艦島とかもなったなとかってね

I was thinking about places like Gunkanjima too.

ちょこちょこと思い出される方もいると思うんですけど

I think there are some people who are reminded of it little by little.

関東にお住まいの方はね

For those living in the Kanto region, you know...

富岡製糸場も実はとか思い出せる方もいると思うんですけど

I think there are some people who can actually remember that the Tomioka Silk Mill exists.

っていう話から始まって

It's a story about the transition from the Paleolithic era to the Jomon period.

大体スタートしていきますし

Basically, we will start.

その中で

が世界遺産に

has become a World Heritage Site

登録されているということで

正式な名称です

It is the official name.

富士山ということで

It's because of Mount Fuji.

長いこと富士山世界遺産に登録しよう

Let's register Mount Fuji as a World Heritage Site for a long time.

世界遺産に登録しようという風にしていたんですが

We were planning to register it as a World Heritage site.

まず自然遺産での登録

First, registration as a natural heritage.

っていうのはねこれはかなわず

What I mean is, this is unattainable.

でいったわけです

And that's what I said.

なんでかって言ったらやっぱゴミ問題とか

The reason is definitely the garbage problem and such.

そういったものもあり

There are also such things.

富士山のね

It's about Mount Fuji.

宣言代謝とかそういった

Such as declaration metabolism and that sort of thing.

文化のところと組み合わせて

Combining with the aspect of culture.

富士山っていうのはようやく2013年に

Mount Fuji was finally designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013.

世界遺産に登録されました

It has been registered as a World Heritage Site.

ということなので

So, that's the case.

引き続きやっぱり自然環境

Continuing, it’s still about the natural environment.

富士山をね一度は登りたいという人

People who want to climb Mount Fuji at least once.

多いと思うんですけれども

I think there are a lot of them.

ゴミは必ず持ち帰るということで

I will definitely take the trash back with me.

環境保全についてもね

About environmental conservation, too.

考えさせられるそんな世界遺産かな

白川郷と五日山の合唱作り集落

The choir-making village of Shirakawa-go and Itsukayama.

白川郷といってどこっていう方もいらっしゃると思うんですが

これ岐阜県

This is Gifu Prefecture.

この2県にまたがって

まさに山の中で雪深いところ
