Hello everyone, good afternoon.

Yuuki who lives in Canada Central Boat

サラです

I'm Sara.

In this podcast, we share about our real life in Canada.

Feel free to ask me anything as if we are friends.

Yes, it has begun.

はーい

Okay!

本日は

Today is

Well, today...

It's cold outside as well.

I went for a walk.

Let's go shopping too.

It was a fun day.

It was fun.

It was warm today, wasn't it, with the night view?

But it was probably cold in the evening.

Ah, well that's true.

After the sun has set.

I am feeling more and more like I want to live in Canada.

Today's dog run was really fun!

Hey.

Dog park

There is a dog that is so happy.

はい

Yes

It makes me feel happy just watching.

Hey, really now.

Everyone's tails shot up.

Well, I don't really know how to put it...

Everyone runs like they're saying "Banzai!"

本当に

Really.

Already hopping.

Our dogs at home are so quiet like that.

本当に

Really.

It's become scary, scary.

That's really true.

I guess they won't bring those kinds of kids.

Uh-huh.

Like a rescue kid or something.

From the beginning, huh?

I'll bring you once you're used to it.

But that rescue kid from today...

Today, the people who say things like "It's mostly rescue" when it comes to rescue dogs just seem to...

Well, sometimes when you say something to a dog, it doesn’t seem very lively, right?

The child has already bitten my lips so much today, they're too energetic.

Jumping too much.

トビー

Toby

That was really scary, wasn't it?

The person crossing the street also seemed like a really nice person.

It's only been 9 months, but it's doing so well.

そうね

I see.

I guess you don't even remember that it was a rescue.

Just having fun.

I only have happy memories.

I'm glad I was taken to such a nice house.

I'm glad.

So, in that case,

Well, you know, basically...

This may jump back to an earlier topic, but...

Something on Spotify.

When I look at the analysis of this podcast on Spotify...

Basically, everyone starts to disappear neatly within the first 60 seconds.

In the midst of this chit-chat, I'm already starting to disappear.

There is a theory that it's better not to do it.

Yeah, that's true.

It's almost time to go in, right?

This time's topic is

We have been living here for almost two years.

Continue with people.

家族

Family

It means that I live with someone other than my family.

Well, I wonder why a fight didn't break out.

とか

"etc."

Well, we're still okay, aren't we?

We're about the same age, nearly the same age.

Although I am older now,

Besides that, you know...

There are people who are lending their homes, you know.

People who will be host families.

Things to be careful about when dealing with such people, and so on.

Honestly, I don't know the true feelings.

Of the host families

Everyone, something.

Basically, you don't really say much, do you?

You're kind.

It seems like you guys are saying really nice things, but...

Honestly, I don't really understand.

I might have been a nuisance.

I'm scared.

Well then,

Be careful about what you're doing.

Well, first of all, that...

Think about things other than us.

Things to be careful about with the host family.

This is a bit of an exception.

The house I am currently living in is

うん

Yeah.

I made sure not to lose any hair.

In the washroom.

That's really true.

I'm not worried about it yet.

I'm sorry, but...

Yeah, that's really true.

I've started to pay more attention to details like my hair.

Especially hair.

Especially the hair, really.

When I was at the Mojan clock,

I was worried about it.

I do it right after taking a bath or when I'm in the bathroom.

I do things like drying my hair too.

What I was most careful about

Debbie's house

If there are black hairs, it’s definitely us.

Yes, really.

Moreover, it stands out because it's too beautiful.

The owner had blonde hair, didn't he?

So the house was mostly a whitish color.

It's really noticeable with just one falling out.

The money stands out a lot.

"Really, that's why Debbie..."

"I'm away from home for a month due to traveling."

If it happens, the house will really get dirty.

"Even so, before coming back right away."

It's a mess, I'll clean it up!

The amount of hair is insane, black hair.

That was really amazing.

That was crazy.

At that time, I was really quite considerate.

I was normally letting things rot in the refrigerator and storage.

Oh right, the bathroom.

The bathroom, you know.

In Japan, there are generally cups available, you know?

There are parts where my hair gets caught, right?

You can take it out, right?

That one over there is also something that will all fall down.

In the end, I got stuck.

Our hair is falling out too much.

Ultimately, in other words.

I was streaming Sarafus.

No, no.

I properly dispose of the ones that have melted and come off.

You're great.

I still think it's really low, though.

I was trying to gather it from the middle.

The one that gets clogged and melts.

It seems like I did that thing where it melts if you leave it alone multiple times.

Please pour in the liquid.

That works pretty well, though.

There are times when I think that the flow there has always been poor.

Even if I'm careful not to lose so much hair,

I do it again right after melting it.

The part where it gets stuck, you know.

It's not melted, is it?

Well, at the beginning, it definitely wasn't stuck.

When we arrived.

That's what it was.

The hair problem is quite significant.

Even after getting a perm, my hair is really great.

Because I ended up doing (it).

It must be getting cut off or something.

Hair tends to fall out, no matter what.

I also have scalp issues.

It's the scalp.

After all, it's due to the difference in the environment.

My scalp has become rough.

I end up losing hair all the way home.

It's originally easy to fall out, though.

Sarai has always been really careless.

There are times when it doesn't fall out and times when it does.

Like a dog

It feels like a period of shedding and regrowth.

It varies depending on the season.

But my hair...

I might have been most careful about my hair.

There's that space we rented.

Like a mono-uki.

I think my hair was probably a mess over there.

Do you think it was insane?

It was so small that I couldn't even clean.

A narrowness that makes me not even want to try.

I haven't done it at all under the bed.

I really didn't do it.

Do it one last time at the very end.

But the air there was really bad.

Well, that's true.

The two of them are really close together.

What size is that in tatami mats?

2 tatami mats?

It's more than 2 tatami mats.

4畳

4 tatami mats

Isn't it about 4 tatami mats?

Was it as big as 4 tatami mats?

Because there's a bunk bed in there.

It feels like it's about three tatami mats in size.

I put a bunk bed in, and now the door can't close, so I have a curtain.

Maybe it would fit just right for a double twin mattress, wouldn't it?

We were talking about getting a mattress, right?

For some reason, it became a bunk bed.

That's what I'm saying.

If it were a mattress, things might have been different.

まあね

Well, you know.

I wonder what it was like.

Well, whether it went well or not.

After all, it's been a month in the same bed.

I probably slept for a total of about a month.

I was sleeping, I was sleeping.

It was totally fine.

Were you totally okay?

It was completely fine.

Because I ended up getting COVID.

Yeah, we broke up.

Nostalgic.

But the bunk beds aren't separated either.

Yes, let's go back to talking.

はい

Yes.

ということで

So, that's it.

I was paying attention to my hair.

Time to cook and such.

That's right.

The owner is indeed...

Isn't it dependent on the house?

Let's go from the very first house.

The very first house doesn't really have anything to be considerate about.

I probably don't care the most.

Since there was a room, properly.

Everyone has their own room properly.

We were quite a free-spirited family.

Well, dinner.

Have you been having dinner at home?

I wonder if I was doing it.

とか

"Etc."

It seems that since I'm a girl, someone comes to pick me up when it's too late at night.

うん

Yeah.

Because you mentioned it, I feel sorry that I have to be conscious of that instead.

I hurried home because I felt sorry.

Like going out together in the morning, for example.

うん

Yeah.

But that

Moreover, if it takes care to enter the house, it may not enter.

あー

Ah—

At the very least, live in someone's house.

But probably, people who won't do it just won't do it, right?

People who don't consider others.

Well, but...

That was a level I could easily do.

Yes, yes.

It feels like something you would normally think to do.

I didn't want to trouble such a good person.

うん

Yeah.

I wonder what else there is.

Well, even in that house, I was still concerned about my hair.

I haven't really thought about the time for taking a shower.

It's because it's our place; it's been like this since then.

Before I went to Canada at first

Canada doesn't have as much water as Japan does.

It feels lacking somehow.

うん

Yeah.

It's not that there isn't plenty.

But somehow, already...

Rules for doing a homestay.

It's not a rule, but...

Like within 10 minutes.

"Please take a shower in 10 minutes or less."

Well, I guess that seems better or something.

うん

Yeah.

I was saying that after reading the one that had the vibe.

うん

Yeah.

I thought I should finish this quickly.

Since then, I started taking really short showers.

That's impressive.

I mean, I’ve already shortened it.

Just the bare minimum is necessary now.

うん

Yeah.

It's like just washing it all off.

うん

Yeah.

It's already become a habit, and now I've gotten really fast at it.

That's impressive.

I'm cleaning everything neatly in every corner unless told otherwise.

Smile.

It's just too cold now.

あー

Ah-

Since coming here, my body temperature hasn't gone up at all.

My muscles are deteriorating and I haven't been taking baths either.

Ah, I see.

Just a little.

Because it doesn't get tiring.

Actually, I've started to take really hot baths instead over here.

Ah, but I understand, a hot shower is nice, isn't it?

I made it really hot.

うん

Yeah.

But I really loved Momotake's shower.

I see.

It was really easy to use, somehow like a tile that you can lower.

Is that so?

It really was a room with just a shower, wasn't it?

Yeah, yeah.

It seems like there is no bathtub anymore.

うん

Yeah.

I really loved that.

Hmm, I see.

うん

Yeah.

The lower floor of the Rawlin family, or something like that.

うん

Yeah.

Shower room

うん

Yeah.

I really like that square one too.

The square one.

It feels a little cramped.

Yeah, it makes me feel at ease.

Ah, well, that's true.

うん

Yeah.

It might really be just about that much consideration.

Yeah, that's about it.

You know, like...

I stayed up late at night.

Shampoo

You prepared a container where we can put all the shampoo and body wash and similar liquid items, right?

Uh-huh.

The water in that one was about to rot.

I noticed that.

Gathering in the water count

Water has pooled below.

Um, well...

へー

Oh really?

In the tray.

Wow, is that so?

うん

Yeah.

It might be better to be careful about that.

Oh, I see. I was taking that whole thing into the bath.

うん

Yeah.

Not that.

I was draining the water.

うん

Yeah.

It had been accumulating bit by bit.

I've been accumulating.

Ah, I see.

うん

Yeah.

Well, let's try not to make it dirty.

うん

Yeah.

Not that much.

うん

Yeah.

You should throw away hair that gets stuck.

うん

Yeah.

At the second house, Debi's place, I was most concerned about her hair.

Incredibly beautiful.

うん

Yeah.

After cooking, they say it's okay to make a mess, but when it's even a little dirty, Devi starts cleaning up.

うん

Yeah.

It was already awkward.

うん

Yeah.

It was awkward.

By the way, when Sarah cooks rice, water tends to leak out at the bottom, right?

うん

Sure

So, I had aluminum foil laid out below this, but it got burnt, so I was trying to leave quickly.

I will return tomorrow.

うん

Yeah.

あー

Ah-

Well, it would definitely burn.

うん

Yeah.

You’ve been making an effort to keep things clean, like washing the dishes as quickly as possible.

Uh-huh.

To avoid accumulating things, it’s also about choosing food that doesn’t have a strong scent, you know?

うん

Yeah.

I was thinking about it, I wonder.

I was really in a pinch when I made natto earlier; it was truly scary.

Already natto.

I opened all the windows.

うん

Yeah.

Because there is only one window.

Is that so?

It was difficult to ventilate.

うん

Yeah.

The house was originally like that, you know.

Well, the owner was originally someone who went to bed early, so I made sure to keep things quiet at night.

うん

Yeah.

Well, basically, it's about interfering with the lives of the people who originally live there.

うん

Yeah.

No matter where you are.

うん

Yeah.

I think the main point is to not disrupt the lives of the people who originally lived there.

Yeah, it's really true.

It's not just about getting drunk anymore; it's also about the time to sleep, things like that.

うん

Yeah.

Well, I also mean to not disturb too much while I'm awake.

うん

Sure.

Especially that house.

うん

Yeah.

Because there is really only one room.

うん

Yeah.

You were telling me to be quiet, weren't you?

うん

Yeah.

But I didn't really feel that stressed.

うん

Yeah.

It wasn't something I had to worry about too much, I guess.

うん

Yeah.

Well, if you just live normally, it's not a big deal.

うん

Yeah.

Well, I can't speak in a loud voice.

Uh-huh.

That's why I'm talking quietly.

That's no good.

But you weren't home quite often, right?

うん

Yeah.

So maybe that's why I didn't feel stressed.

うん

Yeah.

But in the end, you really praised me there, didn't you?

It seems like you really did well, didn't you?

Really.

It's a lie, but...

Did you not say it?

Really.

Things like that...

I see, it seems like something you can do with text.

You were saying something, right? Like something like that.

なんか

Something.

My life

ああ

Ah.

Like keeping out of the way and such.

I thought it was really beautiful and quiet without you all here.

本当に

Really.

It feels like I've been living as if you are here, but also not here.

Well, you know, a lot of things were rotting in places where I wasn't looking.

Without knowing.

It was still rotten.

うん

Yeah.

But really, don't call at night or anything.

うん

Yeah.

I feel like it was something like that, so be careful.

そうね

That's right.

Like not taking a shower, you know?

うん

Yeah.

In the middle of the night

うん

Yeah.

Basically in the morning or...

"Then, for dinner, I'll make a stew."

Now I can do it quietly.

Things that can be boiled.

うん

Yeah.

Soundless things

そうね

That's right.

But it's okay.

Is that how it is?

It's not like I'm saying I'm going to die from something like Darururu, so I can't really live like that.

うん

Yeah.

Such a thing.

Well, well, well, be quiet.

Uh-huh.

I guess it would be good to try it.

うん

Yeah.

Well, it's about not putting out too many things or making a mess too much.

In other words, Sara's belongings have increased so much that there was a time when Devi could not clean up.

That happens sometimes.

I’m sorry.

I wonder if that's just how things are at that house.

うん

Yeah.

When I think about it that way, it's not that much.

It's not really a burden at all.

うん

Yeah.

I wonder.

Well, I mean, every house had things like detergent and toilet paper all prepared, right?

うん

Yeah.

You say some nice things.

Yeah, thank you so much.

We don't have a car, so it's tough to go buy things like that since the load gets bigger.

I'm really grateful that you prepare those things for me, even though it involves financial considerations.

うん

Yeah.

It's probably better than living by buying things ourselves.

全然

Not at all.

うん

Yeah.

Block

I might not have been very concerned about saving money or not using things too much in that regard.

I was using it normally.

うん

Yeah.

I was using it.

うん

Yeah.

Is it dark?

It's dark, isn't it?

うん

Yeah.

Regarding this house.

I was really worried about it to the point of feeling sorry.

Is there anything I'm being considerate about, in a way?

うん

Yeah.

When going out to throw away the trash, watch over them or something.

見守る

To watch over.

Watching over Akiko to ensure she doesn't fall.

見守る

To watch over.

I was just thinking about helping out a bit.

Even if I say I'll help you, you say no, that's okay.

"It's just said that it only makes me more anxious."

Yeah, yeah.

うん

Yeah.

It's still a bit of a difficult situation here, isn't it?

うん

Yeah.

It's easy to talk like this, but especially at the very beginning or something.

うん

Yeah.

It's like, I'm not sure how far I should go into this.

わかる

I understand.

It felt like you didn't even have to do the dishes or anything like that.

うん

Yeah.

It felt like I was the one doing all the cooking and things like that.

うん

Yeah.

We haven't really touched the refrigerator at all.

I had no touch; I couldn't open it.

Yeah, you can have ice cream.

うん

Yeah.

If there's something you want to eat, you can go ahead and eat it.

うん

Yeah.

You don't really need to open it since they serve you food.

I see, yeah.

They also serve ice cream.

Like some tea that's left outside.

Uh-huh.

I was just eating things like chocolate cake that were left outside.

Uh-huh.

Honestly, that was already enough.

I was always so full at that time.

That's why I was thinking of opening the fridge and eating.

I didn't think so.

Well, it's not that difficult; there is a basic way of doing it, right?

うん

Yeah.

It's the same with washing dishes and where to put the tableware back.

うん

Yeah.

Something about how to dispose of garbage.

うん

Yeah.

I don't really know why, but life is definitely something that happens along the way, isn't it?

Yes, yes, yes.

Isn't there a time when you're unsure if it's okay to get that involved?

I understand, I can kind of relate to that.

I want to help, but I'm worried that my help might end up causing more trouble.

Hey, it seems like I might have to take on more work.

そう

Yes.

Well, I think that having even more anxiety probably means something different.

Uh-huh.

It seems like something is going to go wrong.

In the end, I'll end up causing trouble.

うん

Yeah.

In that case, when it comes to host families, it makes you kind of concerned, or rather, it takes on a different meaning altogether.

Uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh.

I wonder how far I can go.

うん

Yeah.

So if you say that I don't have to do it anymore, then I won't do it at all.

うん

Yeah.

I think that would be better.

Yes, exactly.

I think you would tell me when you want me to do it.

Uh-huh.

"I believe that."

Yeah, I believe in it. Once you start doubting that, you'll become distrustful of people.

That's really true.

I will properly do what I'm asked to do.

うん

Yeah.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Uh-huh.

Well, that's true.

うん

Yeah.

Really about that much.

Well then, let’s have fun!

はい

Yes

本当に

Really.

Sometimes try vacuuming, for example.

Going for a walk in the neighborhood.

But it's not that I'm being considerate.

I don't mind.

I'm just doing it because I want to.

"I'm told it's fine not to go, I'm sorry."

Because I want to go.

That's not the case.

I see.

It's not that I'm being considerate.

I want to be considerate, but towards what?

うーん

Hmm.

It really doesn't exist, you know.

I see, that's right.

To be honest, I might be more relaxed here than in my own home.

Yeah, I was more considerate than at grandma's house or my mom's house.

You might be able to find such a house, everyone.

This is insane, really.

Really.

It's really bad, I'm really sorry. Well, it might really sound like a compliment.

You say you'll do the laundry and stuff, right?

So then, I did it once.

I was told that they didn't want it to be put in the dryer.

The next time I did laundry, there was an incident where the comforter burst.

It was there, wasn't it?

I already quit.

Don't get involved.

I decided not to get involved.

So every time Akiko does the laundry, I accompany her at the same time.

横から

From the side.

Just watching.

I decided to support from the sidelines.

That's the best.

Of course, I occasionally clean the cat's litter.

Yeah, you're awesome.

Sometimes, really.

I think it smells.

Also, O-chan is somehow making a complaint.

I only do it when I'm angry.

I want to poop, you know.

That's really about it.

I truly, honestly apologize.

I am really sorry.

本当に

Really.

I want to take the initiative to carry heavy things.

I want to have it.

Heavy things, you know?

Because the uncle is sleeping during the day.

At work

It's not that sleeping is my job.

Because I work at night.

So that's how it is.

Manual labor, etc.

Jam and so on.

I'll open the lid for you.

I'm taking the initiative in those areas.

Because honestly, there's really nothing else to do.

Ah, that's funny.

That's really about all there is.

Sometimes I'll make coffee for you.

うん

Yeah.

Even if we make food and stuff,

Aki-san often can't eat, right?

結局

After all

In the end, I only share things like omelets.

Like cutting vegetables.

I’m not really allowed to cut vegetables either.

Sure!

I really haven't been entrusted with much beyond making omelets, have I?

They make thin omelets and give me sweets.

Uh-huh.

About that much.

Isn't it really big?

Making sweets is more like something I do on my own.

That's right.

うん

Yeah.

This is bad.

That's about all I've done, right?

はい

Yes

Really, you know?

It's because I don't have it.

It's just that the effort will double as a result.

Twice the effort, twice the fun.

That's the feeling, right?

うん

Yeah.

It feels like that, doesn't it?

It's already subtly apple-like.

When dropping fruit from the apple tree.

Oh, that's right.

If it's dangerous, I'll go play in the most dangerous place.

It gets really fun, you know.

うん

Yeah.

It becomes fun, doesn’t it?

Even if I'm told to bring bird feed, I'll still get scolded.

なんで

Why?

Because it was all over the ground.

I thought they also eat from the ground.

I rolled it on the ground.

Just to confirm if Akiko-san wasn't watching, I checked, and she was.

The window is casting some shadows, isn’t it?

If you step back a little, you can't see it.

Can't you see?

So, when you look at it this way...

If you do it this way,

見えない

I can't see it.

Akiko was stuck to me first, angry.

I didn't want to, but that's why I was fishing so much.

I thought it was strange how much you were fishing.

I see how it is.

In the end, you'll eat it, right?

I think you will eat.

There are all sorts of things, aren't there? Truly, truly.

Sometimes I pick up poop, it's more like a hobby or something.

With that kind of feeling.

It's just about that level of feeling, which means that you really don't care.

I can only feel normally, like turning off the lights.

Make sure to turn off the electricity properly.

"Really, just about that."

I really haven't done anything, but Sara's room is so messy that I asked the uncle to please spend a little more time cleaning it up.

Did you say it? I'm sorry.

Really? Well, you know...

What was it again? There was a time when the electricity went out, right?

You were changing the electrical wiring, weren't you, uncle? Ah, yeah, yeah.

I was in Sara's room at that time.

It seemed like they were opening the roof because they were going to change the wiring or something.

Oh really? That was the time when the room was the messiest.

I was told to clean up.

I'm sorry, it's serious.

You really do like cleanliness, don't you? That's right.

Didn't you think it was impossible? What is this?

Take your little time to clean up your whole room, please.

Please take a little time to clean up your entire room.

Please

Please

It's urgent. I cleaned up properly.

Great, great, great! But it's a mess again now.

It's always messy even now. Really.

That room honestly has no privacy.

I borrowed it on the condition that I have to keep it open all the time.

Oh, really? Regarding Ou-chan...

Ah, on the back side, people pass through there in the opposite direction, right?

Yeah, that's true. There's zero privacy. I don't really care about having zero privacy anymore, though.

I mean, it’s to that extent, I suppose. It’s that kind of quality.

It was just one. I guess that's how it looks when you go outside.

I wonder if they're my grandchildren or something.

"I'm sure they're probably relatives, because I've often been told by Japanese people, 'Is that Akiko's grandchild?'"

Is this a relative? Akiko's grandchild is still 2 years old.

I'm 2 years old! I have blonde hair. Today, I might have said something wrong to Akiko-san.

"Because I'm a child, I'm seen as a child."

That's not it, but from that perspective, the way you’re responding to Akiko-san...

You're probably treating them like relatives, like a grandchild or a child.

I think it's Akiko's fault.

なんか

Something.

I really think it's amazing how you haven't built up walls to that extent.

Well, I came here to hang out, and on the first day—or rather, when we first met, we were still using formal language.

Since we ended with honorifics last time, I’ve been using honorifics in all my LINE messages and in English too.

I met them, and by that night, we were already speaking informally.

That's fast. Maybe it's similar for us? At first, I probably used honorifics, but that night or the next day...

They start using casual language. Maybe it's the same for me, right? At first, I think we were using polite language, but by that night or the next day, they switch to casual speech.

Yeah, maybe it's the same for us? At first, we probably spoke politely, but then by that night or the next day, we started talking casually.

Wow, this is a bit serious. You need to have a bit more dignity; you're an incredible person after all.

I think it’s okay to show more dignity. It’s true, right? You told me it’s a new experience with intensity.

It really depends on the dignity, doesn't it?

Well, maybe this moment when I'm truly the happiest might actually be the happiest one.

Yes, I'm really the happiest.

Truly happy.

Homestay seems crazy, like, yeah.

I heard people saying that the odds are crazy, but honestly, I've only been getting lucky draws.

Yes, that's really true.

Everyone's home was happy.

I have been to three places in the past nearly two years.

I've been living (here).

All big hits.

It was all a big hit.

Yeah, it's really a big hit.

They were really good people.

There are no stories that I regret.

Because we are still connected even now.

Yeah, I actually want to go back again.

うん

Yeah.

Yeah, not at all.

That's amazing!

Really amazing.

Thank you very much.

本当に

Really.

I feel like the past two years have been filled with lucky encounters with people.

うん

Yeah.

Well, Sara's entire life has been blessed by people.

うん

Yeah.

I felt that it became particularly evident over the past two years.

I've truly been blessed with wonderful people.

I've only really encountered about one truly bad person.

うん

Yeah.

Around one person.

Sara's friend

I see, I see, I see.

うん

Yeah.

It's the same for us; about one person.

うん

Yeah.

Really something.

本当に

Really.

Isn't it just too good in the end?

The people I've met are all really nice.

Yeah, really.

It might be our misunderstanding, but...

That's right, that's right, that's right.

The people I've met are just too wonderful.

This is our network.

There are only really nice people.

Sometimes there are people who say "uh."

Yeah, but.

That's usually something Japanese people do, right?

あー

Ah—

サラ

Sara

When I meet someone who thinks "uh-huh," they are usually Japanese.

日本人

That's amazing.

確かに

Certainly.

うん

Yeah.

I won't say what it is.

I don't want to.

確かに

Certainly.

うん

Yeah.

I feel like that's true.

That's really, really true.

It's good and good people.

What?

It's Sara's real experience now.

うん

Yeah.

There is already an amazing Japanese person who will keep talking to Sara forever.

うん

Yeah.

But Sara is with another really kind Japanese person halfway through.

It's like sending a question for help, but it seems they don't notice it.

There are really a lot of people who are extremely polar opposite.

That's right.

There are many easygoing and fluffy people, and it's nice.

うん

Yeah.

On the contrary, it's all serious, but it's surprising that you would say something like that.

うん

Yeah.

That's right.

I feel that there is a significant gap between people.

うん

Yeah.

So it's really something exactly like that.

I wonder what to say.

What do you call it in the world, really like a Japanese person living abroad?

うん

Yeah.

I don't know what kind of person everyone is imagining, but...

I can't help but imagine a woman with a pretty strong personality.

うん

Yeah.

When I think about a woman who is overseas.

Those are exactly the kinds of people.

I knew it, they're here.

うん

Yeah.

But I thought there were more Japanese people being typically Japanese than I expected.

Ah, that's true.

It's a bit fluffy.

うん

Yeah.

It's like, "It's okay, you know, in a cute way."

うん

Yeah.

I felt that many people my age didn't seem like they would come abroad much.

うん

Yeah.

Especially in terms of appearance, you know.

Yeah, they're the type you'd typically find in a regular school in Japan.

I feel like that's a characteristic of Canada.

I think so too.

I think it would probably be different if I went to places like America.

The kids who are in America.

It's kind of like that with my friends too.

It's the same as those kids you often see on social media.

Gleaming/Glittering

It's just that they're completely different from the kids in Canada.

Hey.

It feels somehow natural, like Canada.

Yeah, it really feels natural.

I think it would be different if I went to places like England.

違う

Different.

It feels like the UK and the US are a bit glittery.

Uh-huh.

That's not it.

It seems like Australia is sparkling too.

If I were to say, it feels like Australia and New Zealand lean more towards Canada.

I have a feeling.

Clothing and such.

Ways of thinking, etc.

Something is different, isn't it?

Come to this house where such awareness has been embedded.

It's like saying America and Canada are different, you know?

そうね

I see.

Differentiated

確かに

Certainly.

That's not it.

同じ

The same.

Don't treat it as if it's the same.

It feels like that.

Yeah, that's right.

面白い

Interesting.

It feels like that.

Well, at home I've already experienced everything and spent happy days.

That's really true.

Because of that, probably.

I might want to go back to Canada. I'm pretty sure that's the case.

The people I meet are so wonderful that it's completely stress-free. I'm grateful to the people and thankful for the encounters.

Thank you very much. I am truly grateful.

Grateful for my life so far. Thank you.

I am grateful for the merits I accumulated in my past life, even when it comes to spirituality.

I didn't even express my gratitude to my past life. Even to my past life.

It's already just too good, really.

I really didn't expect this at all; I never thought it would turn out like this before coming.

If it's something others say is fine, then it's like various dreams.

Actually, I've been Zooming with Akihō-san since I was at Monotoke.

I was zooming in, wondering what to do.

It seems like it might come in some month, but it might be tough until school starts.

I was thinking that, actually, under your room...

Such conversations have been taking place since that time.

That was the case. Well then, next time...

Before I come, before I come.

I would like to clarify why we have not conducted a visit to this extent.

I want to clarify it too. I really want to clarify it.

For the future, for the sake of the future.

Because we don't know what will happen in the future.

Well then, that's it for now.

For now, it was like this with the homestay.

It means that you are being considerate, or that you are not being considerate.

Make it a report, ultimately.

Yes, it was there. Everyone, please enjoy your study abroad life!

Bye bye, bye bye.

By the way, I forgot to mention something.

I don't quite remember Akiko's episode well, but...

In the end, what kind of homestay is it? There are two different homestay houses.

I was talking about how I went out with that kind of person and said we're friends.

So, there's a person who is a homestay friend.

One was hosting a kid from America and the other was hosting a kid from Canada.

Then the family hosting the American child...

You know, my child does things on their own without saying anything.

You're opening the refrigerator and eating something without permission.

Someone who is hosting a kid from Canada was saying.

I didn't really do anything until someone told me it was okay, you know?

It was a story that reflected national character.

It depends on the person, I guess.

I knew it, it feels like something when we meet, doesn't it?

As a tendency

You keep saying "sorry" a lot, don't you?

I say "I'm sorry" a lot.

I feel like I have a sensitivity similar to that of Japanese people.

I definitely think so.

I'm in America.

When I said "sorry" to a person from Canada

You look like someone who says "sorry."

I think people in Canada have that kind of awareness as well.

It seems like we're saying "sorry" too much.

Sometimes saying sorry is just too obvious.

Even though we both ran into each other.

Only Sara said something like "sorry."

Ah, no.

It's alright

It's alright.

"No, there are times when you say something like 'Hey, you bumped into me.'"

Well, that's true.

It's a little annoying.

確かに

Certainly.

It's the time for us to say thank you to each other as usual.

It's like saying thank you already.

ん?

Hmm?

Something like that.

うん

Yeah.

Huh?

Ah, okay, okay.

Ah, but that might be true.

But is that normal?

"Thank you is normal, but..."

Sometimes I wonder if "sorry" is a bit too much?

Especially young people.

"Well, you too, right?"

Young girls, etc.

Commonplace

But regarding that, it's certainly more than Japanese people.

People from Canada are

For example, if you were to say thank you...

If you were Japanese.

Ah, like that, like that, like that.

No, no, thank you very much.

The studio too.

It seems like Canadian people...

Yokan

Like, um.

It's okay

It's like, it's okay.

うん

Yeah.

感じ

Feeling

So that might be different.

It's not just "sorry," but...

Sometimes there are people like that, right?

I saw something, you know, something.

I don't know if it's Canada or not.

なんか

Somehow

Please say thank you.

At cafes, the staff...

That's okay

It's okay or something like that.

Like yokan.

What do you call it?

Usually, you'd say something like that, right?

When it comes to customer service.

Hey, shop assistant.

Another customer said thank you.

It seems like the store clerk didn't say thank you or something.

It's something like a foreigner saying, "No, it's you, right?"

I have never seen anything.

I see.

へー

Oh, really?

Is there anyone who can feel it?

You're here, huh?

In our case, it's kind of the opposite, you know, at the beginning or something.

I was told "thank you."

I wasn't used to that way of responding yet.

Japanese people are kind of...

Thank you.

Yay, thank you!

It's common to reply to "thank you" with "thank you" back, isn't it?

I wonder if it's because I have that kind of vibe about me.

When someone says thank you.

I’ve been saying thank you for a long time too.

Do you still say that now?

Yeah, I think I would say the same.

When I can think properly,

"Somehow, on the contrary, it's like 'My pleasure'."

I think I might say something, but...

When someone says "Thank you,"

I can't help but say thank you.

I'll say it, you know.

Roughly.

Sorry

If you say "sorry."

Sorry

I tend to say "sorry."

Sorry

I was told "sorry."

That's all rightってなんだっけな

What does "That's all right" mean?

What is it?

It's okayとか

It's okay and such.

That's fineとか

That's fine, or something like that.

Sorry do this

Sorry, do this.

I'm sorry

"Don't you want to say it at the same time? If we hit it."

If I get cut or something.

Sorry sorry

Something like "sorry sorry."

Sorry that's okay

It feels like you don't have any intention of apologizing even once.

そうね

That's right.

So, I saw volleyball the other day.

There was something about sitting in the back at that time.

There were really amazing kids all around.

It seems like they are probably kids who just started playing volleyball.

Well, it seems like everyone comes to see because the skilled seniors are doing it.

And then there was a coach behind that.

The coach probably tells the kids something like, for example, when someone makes a good play.

Then, to the child in that position,

It feels like that's something you should do.

Everyone was really getting excited together.

I guess I was probably using my hands a lot in that vibe.

Something suddenly hit me in the back of the head.

I'm sorry

I was told "I'm sorry."

Oh sorry

I ended up saying "Oh, sorry."

Because it's not my fault.

It's not bad.

That's interesting.

That's interesting.

So starting from the second time, it's not "sorry" anymore.

That's okay

They said it's okay.

I was hit twice from behind.

But somehow...

After all, twice.

Is that how it is?

Oh sorry

Oh, I'm sorry.

Don't hit too much.

That's okay

But when I'm suddenly told that...

I'm so anxious, normally in Japan I would be thrilled.

I'm sorry.

Oh, I'm sorry. It's okay, it's okay, something like that.

That's right, that's right, that's right!

I'm sorry it's okay it's okay

It's like saying "I'm sorry, it's okay, it's okay."

For now, I’ll just say sorry at first.

I understand, I understand.

When someone says "sorry,"

Sorry.

But I'll just say thank you now.

It's fine if you say "sorry."

Thank youって

Thank you.

Thank you for appreciating

Thank you for your appreciation.

っていう

That's what I'm saying.

Indeed wonderful.

You can see the national character of Canada in that way.

I think you apologize a lot, but...

Apologize and listen.

I don't think I'm being arrogant.

In America, it feels like apologizing makes you the loser or something.

言うね

I will say it.

I'm making a lot of excuses.

They make a lot of excuses.

Even when I'm doing software or something like that...

No matter how you think about it, that's definitely your responsibility, right?

Even when there is an error

Yeah, I'm sorry, I'm really sorry.

If we happened to lock eyes when returning to the bench...

いやーThat was my badって言った後にめっちゃ

Yeah, after I said "That was my bad," I really...

Wow, the light is really getting in my eyes.

I don't know, but my back hurts and my legs can't move anymore.

It suddenly became high-end at that time.

They keep making excuses, saying "bururururu."

It was there, after all.

It's really hot!

That's why I think Sara would say something like that if she made a mistake.

"Just try not to say anything anymore."

It's okay now, it's okay, it's okay.

It seems like it's okay not to make excuses.

言われる

To be told / to be said.

I won't say it.

I don't intend to do it.

That's interesting.

I really thought that it somewhat reflects the personality of Japanese people.

It's like the image of a samurai who doesn't speak twice.

It's like whatever has already been done is my responsibility now.

I don't think there is anything like that.

That's certainly true.

For now, it feels like I'm trying to make up for it with excuses somehow.

I will apologize, but...

That's not correct.

That's the kind of feeling.

It's like saying, "Even you, Akiko, who usually doesn't speak up, shouldn't make excuses."

You make a lot of excuses.

Well, that might be true, definitely.

I really think that.

It seems like there's a tendency for excuses to win out.

On the contrary.

確かに

Certainly.

I might be influenced.

Somehow, I properly acknowledge my own criticism.

認める

To acknowledge.

だけど

But.

But it was for this kind of reason, you know.

確かに

Certainly.

I don’t know, it seems like.

Uncle really says that a lot, doesn't he?

But that might be true.

It's kind of cute, isn't it?

Everyone might say that.

I feel like you're acting like a child.

So if you don't say it properly, I won't understand.

Maybe it's like trying to convey everything.

It seems like that’s already leaning towards making excuses.

I think it probably sounds like an excuse from a Japanese person's perspective.

From the perspective of an ordinary person here...

It seems like I'm properly conveying it, you know?

That's why people say they really can't understand what Japanese people are thinking.

Just saying sorry isn't enough.

We've also been told something for a long time.

It's not me, but...

At the place where I was working, there was a boy.

It seems like apologizing to that manager won't make a difference.

It seems like just saying "yes" isn't enough to understand.

Well, that's true.

But in Japan, something like that...

If I said something like, "It was like this, or I did it like that,"

I’m told not to tempt.

That's different, for sure.

But when it comes to dating or living together with someone...

It might be nice if that happens.

This happened for such reasons.

It's better to say everything.

Easy to understand.

"It's like saying it won't be conveyed if you don't say it."

It’s impossible.

It's only natural, so...

I thought so.

Please don't think that just because we're in a relationship, it will be understood.

It doesn't get through.

結論

Conclusion

By the way, it was.

Excuse me.
