長歌というジャンルなんですけれども

その長歌の中には

About Noh Theatre

今日はお話をしていきます

能楽は14世紀から15世紀

Noh theater originated in the 14th to 15th centuries.

室町時代に発展し

Developed during the Muromachi period

武士や貴族に支持され

Supported by samurai and nobles

愛された独特の演劇形式です

It is a uniquely loved form of theater.

おぎゃーと能楽ができました

I was born and became skilled in Noh theater.

12世紀頃にはですね

伝楽と言われる

味噌伝楽の伝楽です

他に楽しいと書く伝楽と言われる

稲作の豊作を祈願する

能攻儀式がありました

これが前身だと言われています

猿楽というものに派生していきます

宮廷というか

武士や貴族というところで

最初は儀式の音楽として生まれたんだけれども

やがて一回エンタメとして

Soon, as entertainment for a moment.

庶民にも知れ渡ったのが

It became widely known among the common people.

また式学として

As a mathematical discipline again

幕府の中に囲まれていったという

It is said that they were surrounded by the shogunate.

そんな能楽です

演技も今いわゆる演技といって

思い浮かぶような

放出されるような演技とはちょっとまた違って

すごくそのシンプル

本当に洗練された一つの動きで

ものすごく深い

心の機微みたいなものを表現しています

It expresses nuances of the heart.

うまく言葉で言えない

百聞は一見にしかずです

で面表面ももちろん手彫りで作られているんですけれども

これが私が聞いた話なんですが

左右がもちろん非対称にあえて作られているそうなんですね

これは人間私たちの顔も非対称ですよね

なかなか対称の人っていないと思うんですけれども

陰と陽で左右で出来ているんですけれども

まず登場人物というのは私たちが向かっていて

ところの一番奥から登場します

その時は私たちに見えるのはその面の右側です

この右側でが見えるんですけど

左側が見えていって

またその橋がかりを通って

戻っていくというような感じなんですが

そうですそういう風に彫られているんですって

そんな風にして思いながら見ると

もともとこの能舞台っていうのは

今はもちろん屋内にあることが多いんですけれども

外にあったそうで

つまり自然光の中なんですよね

In other words, it's in natural light, isn't it?

だって今みたいな照明器具とかないですから

That's because there are no lighting fixtures like the ones we have now.

その太陽光とかそういった自然光の中で

In that sunlight and natural light.

どういうふうに見えてたんだろうって想像すると

I wonder what it looked like when I imagine it.

すごくきっとそのギラギラと主張するような華やかさではないんだけれども

It's definitely not that flashy and overwhelming brightness, but...

キラッキラと光に

Sparkling in the light.

何かの瞬間に反射すると光るような感じだったのかなって

I wondered if it felt like it would shine when reflected in some moment.

想像してみるとすごくまた楽しいですし

It's really fun to imagine it.

あと最近でもやってることがありますけど

滝技能と言われる夜に

On a night said to be of waterfall skills.

滝も木を

その火の炎の明かりで見るという

美しさを見出すって

その元が綺麗じゃないとやっぱ難しいことですよね

It's definitely difficult if the original isn't clean.

なのでその本当の

音楽史の

方々の美しさが

The beauty of various places.

本当に研ぎ澄まされた美しさっていうのがあってこそ

It is precisely because there is a truly refined beauty.

この芸術は成り立つんじゃないかななんて
