Thank you in advance.

This is a broadcast from mid-September.

The heat is really coming back, isn't it?

It got a little cool for a moment until around last week.

I thought it felt like autumn had already come.

It's really hot today.

It's really hot, isn't it?

But soon autumn is approaching.

I often go there sometimes.

There is a gathering to enjoy various fruits deliciously.

A souvenir for Kei-san.

What is that? That's a bit crazy.

I'm happy.

It is a cup filled with three types of grapes.

Thank you.

This is probably a variety of Shine Muscat and red grapes.

Yes, yes.

I wonder what it is.

It's the one that comes with sauce, right?

Yes, yes, yes, yes.

Takaou grapes.

Takao grapes

It's incredibly dense and concentrated.

Thank you, I will receive it.

It's grapes.

A sense of the season like this is important, isn't it?

Also, sweet potato desserts have been trending lately.

There are so many sweet potato desserts out there now, aren't there?

増えた

Increased.

Like Starbucks, etc.

Even something like that.

Isn't there something like a sweet potato whatever Frappuccino?

I do have the impression that there's definitely an increase in potato-related items.

They released something like Black Thunder with purple sweet potatoes.

ああ

Ah.

"If I gave it to someone who asked if I went to Okinawa..."

I didn't go; I bought it at a convenience store.

Well, it's like with vegetables too.

Fruits really have a strong sense of the seasons, don't they?

I've been feeling something for about a year now.

I've started to eat quite a bit of fruit.

I really think it's great to be able to feel the seasons.

Well, the grape season is just around the corner.

最高

Awesome

I did it, thank you! I will receive it.

Thank you for the meal (or "Let's eat").

So, today I read a rather unusual book.

It's like a tiger saying, "It's tough to be here."

The subtitle is a book about care and therapy as a broad concept.

It's a book written by a clinical psychologist named Mr. Tobata.

Yes, yes, and the reason I initially learned about this was because I...

While studying community management

In the book introduced in that course.

About the fact of being.

It's a book that was mentioned among the examples.

So, what do you call those so-called three sentences?

It's kind of like an essay.

It says on the cover, "A spectacular academic book that will greatly move you."

It's a spectacular academic book, you know.

Somehow the words just don't seem to fit together, do they?

Just this alone makes you wonder what it means, right?

That's right, that's right, that's right, that's right.

In a broad sense, this is now a clinical psychologist.

While writing various works, probably also a professor at the university.

While being like that, it's actually a hospital like that.

You're doing it, aren't you?

This person used to work at a psychiatric day care facility in Okinawa.

It's probably a story from about four years ago.

That's right.

It's like a story about an experience I had.

The story is really interesting, isn't it?

It was interesting, wasn't it?

It's genuinely interesting as a reading material.

It is likely that plenty of real-life experiences have been incorporated.

In a way, it has a sense of reality and is also vivid.

I also found it very engaging and worth reading.

It's interesting, so it's totally about care or therapists and such.

Such nursing care fans and so on.

I think it's a book that even people who are not involved in nursing care would find interesting.

That's right.

I was introduced to this book by Mari.

When you suggested this next idea,

"It’s hard being here."

When I tried to infer what kind of book it is.

Rather, it's about a child who was bullied within the group.

Care and therapist.

I was wondering if it was something like that.

It was different in a good way.

That's right.

What I mean by the title is...

When Mr. Tobata first came to the daycare facility in Okinawa,

At that point, that person had counseling skills.

I'm increasingly struggling to fit into that kind of society now.

For example, towards individuals with schizophrenia.

It feels like I'm going to do counseling.

Burning on the paper.

When you come, that daycare facility is...

The fact that those people go about their daily lives.

It is based on the basics.

The time that is truly just about being there is long.

It seems like it started from a place of complete uneasiness.

That's right.

This book is about becoming mentally unwell.

With people who are suffering from various diseases.

It's a story about how clinical psychologists confront situations.

本当に

Really.

People in the world

Living in the world.

Most people have an incredible essence of life.

I thought it was really congested.

When you belong to a group, after all...

What kind of mechanisms are at play?

To the essential part of that kind of thing.

I thought it was a book that you could touch.

That's right.

The main theme of this book is

The act of doing is contrasted with the state of being.

Like "do" in "suru."

Like "is" or "to be."

It's kind of like that.

The fact that you're here means...

So what does that mean?

What does it mean to be needed?

The expression was非常に unique.

When I talk to you

Get used to the place.

Make the people there feel at ease.

It means that you are in a state of being entrusted or surrendered to someone.

It seems like there's a story about being accepted or allowed to be here.

I see, that makes sense.

I thought so too.

確かに

Certainly.

この本の

This book's

はい

Yes

The author is

I was first assigned to that clinic.

It's not that I have nothing to do, but...

Just being there.

In a way, a little.

It's more like spiciness.

I felt it.

So I’m just pretending to read a book with all my might.

Pretending to read it like that, or something.

Counting the wood grain of the desk.

Oh yes, the grain of the desk.

You were doing it, right?

That's right.

That's right.

What I mean is

Suddenly into the group.

The person who entered.

Well, there’s a possibility that it could be myself.

I am already there.

I think there's also a pattern where someone comes in.

In that group over there.

First of all, underneath that, I personally have to consider my relationships with others.

You need to get used to the environment.

Also, relax within that.

Whether or not there is someone to trust.

Simply being there in that moment...

Doesn't it make you feel uncomfortable?

They're saying that something is going to be decided somewhere.

That's right.

That's why it's really...

Well, this is a story about a daycare facility.

Due to my job, welcoming the new person.

From the position I am in

I feel like it's really important to understand this psychology.

I thought to myself, you know.

I thought a lot about it.

"Well, when it comes to people who have been at home or in the workplace for quite a long time..."

What I mean is that psychologically, it’s already quite normal.

Being in a state of being needed.

Just being there is enough.

I think it's in a state that can go reasonably well.

For someone who has just joined a new community.

Just being there without doing anything means...

Extremely difficult things.

It's difficult.

I think this a lot.

Rather than when I was a working adult,

Part-time job?

I was reminded of the time when I had a part-time job that wasn't at university.

Goodbye

When you first start a part-time job, you don't know what to do, right?

Indeed, indeed.

It's like when you're taught something, but you still don't really understand it at all.

But it feels like I have to do something.

確かに

Certainly.

Just doing some dishes or something.

I was indeed doing it myself.

I wonder what that was all about.

Without demonstrating any value there.

The mere fact of existing.

Instinctively a little.

Uncomfortable.

I feel awkward and uncomfortable.

So if I were to be on the accepting side in the future...

After all, it's about first giving them this.

Gradually, I will help that person to be able to be themselves naturally.

I realized that helping others is really important.

By doing things together, relationships can be nurtured and developed.

That's right.

Within that keyword "to exist"

That means, in other words...

Essentially, it is close to dependence.

依存している

Dependent.

It means "Being there means..."

There’s a discussion that it’s similar to being dependent on that surrounding.

This also feels incredibly fresh.

That's right.

Things like dependency or a dependence mindset.

There is quite a negative image.

あるある

It happens a lot.

They were strong.

That's right!

I had it too.

Like a "menhera."

That's right.

That's pretty much how it is.

こう

Like this

The image is strong, isn't it?

When you use the word "dependency," you know...

Dependency on alcohol, etc.

Alcohol dependence and such.

It's like a dependency or something.

It gives off a strong negative impression, doesn't it?

It's just that somehow in this book...

A slightly different expression, please.

It is being discussed what dependency really is.

When it comes to something

When I am weakened.

Having someone take care of you, or something like that.

Receive care.

Or conversely.

Someone is

When you were weak and said that.

Like helping myself or something.

It means "to provide care."

That kind of act.

It's called dependency.

I'm saying it.

If that's the case, then my past dependencies seem quite significant.

That's a bit different.

On the contrary, I actually have quite a few people...

If it's based on the definitions in this book.

I'm dependent on others, and I'm also depended upon.

I thought it was like that.

That's right.

Originally, it was about that mother.

The child is dependent.

As a clear example of that.

That's really amazing.

"Like it's the most natural thing for mom."

It can be either your mother or father.

Raising children means...

It says that there is a naturally dependent relationship, like in the animal kingdom.

You wrote "instinct," didn't you?

In the book.

That's really true, isn't it?

I was talking about this earlier.

This instinct

It's a relatively natural dependency relationship.

You thought so, right?

When that book was created

If it is a serious situation,

Supporting or taking care of someone.

I can rely on someone, but...

I feel like there's a lack of emotional space.

When you're too busy,

Well, since so-and-so is doing it, I guess that's fine.

Like that or something.

You know, when I saw a stranger in trouble on the road,

Like being able to move quickly.

I sometimes think about it.

I will do it, right?

I think there was something like that, wasn't there?

When this time of year comes

There is a channel I watch.

It's called Komahata.

Maybe somewhere in Nagano.

A person living in the mountains.

At my own house.

Build a birdhouse.

Install a camera there.

The bird is building a nest.

Raising children.

Until the point of leaving the nest.

I'm recording and uploading a video.

I feel like I'm being healed.

There's a video.

I watch it every year.

When I see things like that,

自然って

What is nature?

It says in this book.

A large cycle of dependence

It's in the flow.

You can feel it right away, can't you?

なんで

Why?

Originally, I myself...

As one animal.

In such a cycle.

They actually exist.

Just that feeling, after all.

I'm thinking that it's hard to hold.

"Just because it constitutes society."

Myself as well.

"I'm dependent on someone."

Because I am being depended on by someone.

Being consciously aware of that is really how we live our lives.

I thought it was really important.

That's right, isn't it?

It's like we're in the same boat.

Japan is well made, isn't it?

Compassion is not for the sake of others.

That's true, isn't it?

In its true meaning

The word "dependency"

In terms of antonyms,

自立

Independence

It's better to be independent.

There is an image of positive words.

Finally becoming independent from my parents.

Like something independent.

Basically, modern society today is

I seek independence.

Certainly, economic independence and...

Mental independence and such.

That's not necessarily a bad thing, of course.

At times like that

Someone who can become independent like that.

That is precisely for the purpose of achieving social independence.

It's like support.

daycare's

Of course, it's not a bad thing.

I think there is also that.

バランス

Balance

I guess it's all about balance after all.

That's exactly it.

Never just independence

It's not necessarily a good thing.

It can also be dependent.

Dependence can also be a choice.

As a stance on balance, it is probably...

Basically, it's about becoming independent after all.

Usually do it.

It just becomes painful, doesn't it?

There are times that are tough.

Relying on someone during such times.

Or something like that.

To someone who is usually independent.

Like being a little weakened or something.

When I was feeling hurt.

Make sure to be someone they can rely on.

Or from this side.

"Something that you can rely on."

To take a caregiving approach.

ような

like; similar to

Keep this balance properly.

That's really important.

If you can't do that.

To put it bluntly.

Things like committing suicide.

Being unable to rely on (someone/something) is...

Sometimes that kind of person can end up being chosen.

If you can't become independent.

Absolutely, just like that.

"Menhera and such"

I'll go with that kind of person.

How to maintain this balance?

It's about properly holding onto it within myself.

In order to live in society.

I realized that it's important.

That's right.

To rely on.

It's simple, but surprisingly difficult.

That's right.

Somewhere before.

I think I mentioned it.

After all, work has started to get harder.

I guess this is impossible.

Since the moment I thought of it.

You've become really reliable, haven't you?

I was saying.

It feels like I'll just leave it up to you.

It seems I can't do it.

That's right, that's right!

Knowing your limits to some extent is...

Is it important?

I think that's probably all.

Something like a base.

I am in this place.

Then, psychological safety.

It might be something like that, but...

If you think that the bass is properly accepted here.

I wonder if it will become easier to rely on others.

I feel that way too, don’t you?

There's no doubt about it.

I feel like ordering this.

I feel like I might be seen as incompetent.

I don't know, but...

Even at an unconscious level, you can feel it.

This much is quite impressive.

Do I have to do it myself?

Things like that.

There's no doubt about it.

As for the psychological aspect...

Who should I ask for help?

I don't understand or something like that.

What if they think I'm a nuisance?

It feels like a state of mind similar to that.

It feels somewhat good.

It's a bit difficult to ask for a favor, isn't it?

In that sense

It's important to be in a state where you can insert it, isn't it?

From now on, just a little of this.

It's about day care.

Felt in everyday life.

There were a lot of conversations as well.

I will continue a little over three times.

I would like to talk about this story.

Well, I would like to end around here for today.

Well then, this week too.

Let's do our best with a bright, cheerful, and positive attitude.

See you again next week, bye bye.
