Today's guest is Mr. Yuuzou Kayama.

Thank you very much. I appreciate your assistance.

Thank you in advance.

Well, unfortunately today again...

I believe it is appropriate to refer to this as the one and only actor, Kunie Tanaka.

I would like to hear a little about Ms. Kunie Tanaka, if possible.

Where did your first meeting take place?

As expected, in his case, it's definitely junior high school students first.

I think so, but...

And then, by doing that, there was a part where we really clicked with each other.

In the period drama, it seems like you're still together after all.

Since we met at that time, we've started to meet quite frequently.

We have an image of being shy, but is that really the case?

Being shy is indeed being shy, him really.

I can't really interpret people with just an image.

Just the image would be enough.

That's a bit different from what I would call it.

I think that person is extremely bright and unique.

I received the news of Ms. Kunie Tanaka's passing.

Mr. Kayama actually made his comments like this.

Let me introduce a brief excerpt.

I’ve been wanting to get in touch with Kunie-san and I’ve been thinking about it for a while.

Strangely, two days ago, with a DVD of big and small.

I just saw Kunie-san's figure.

うん

Yeah.

I'm lonely. I'm really lonely.

It's to the extent that comments like this are being made.

It was a relationship where we simply reflected each other.

I feel that way, but...

There's nothing more to say but shock.

It was incredibly shocking, wasn't it?

It's gone. Why?

I wonder why it happens.

Well, you are 88 years old, after all.

In a sense, like a great princess.

I see.

It seems it will turn into "rice girl."

As for something with that actor...

What do you call it, I wonder?

Things like what you obtain like this, or something like that.

Is this the end?

The results that come out in the performance while doing it.

As a person living a normal life, he is

Well, there are some similarities, but it really depends on the person who is walking around on a regular basis.

I think the person who is out there is wonderful.

The young general that appears in the movie...

The blue snake is a bit different.

You are a better person.

To such a wonderful person.

So, was that why you were able to play the blue snake?

I think that can be said as well.

I don't think that's easy to do.

Because in reality, they are indeed a good person.

I guess I could do something like that.

It's really true, isn't it?

They were an interesting person to talk to.

You said something really funny and ridiculous, didn't you?

It's interesting, you know?

Something like this happened.

I was a broadcaster during my time at Nippon Television.

I was doing something like live commentary multiple times.

So at that time in the special program

Did you do two laps around the Imperial Palace?

"When I come back to Nippon Television..."

There was a marathon.

So it was done through a general public recruitment, right?

So it was gathered.

And finally, it's time to start!

While checking different people.

When I came back

The person who came in second place was Mr. Kuniyoshi Tanaka.

I thought Mr. Kunii Tanaka applied as a general candidate.

I was surprised.

I see that you are someone who has those kinds of qualities.

That might be the case.

I was also good at going around the Imperial Palace.

Is that so?

It's completely unrelated, but...

I'm running alone.

Is that so?

Why are you running?

That's fine.

That's fine, it's alright.

That's fine, but...

I wonder why it just starts at 10 kilometers.

It's a 5-kilometer loop, right?

So, two laps is 10 kilometers, right?

Exactly 10 kilometers.

Are you running that much?

へーって

Heh.

This time, I will be in a movie too.

When you have to run.

From Chiba to Edoshima.

It's about 8 to 8.5 kilograms.

Let's run that!

That's true, but...

I ran countless times.

Did you run together?

We're not together.

I ran my own way, you know.

I can't run at all.

Go to New York.

To the New York City Marathon.

I participated in the movie too.

Oh, so that's how it came to an end.

That's right.

There is no doubt that I have received the area.

I think it’s a grateful sadness.

On the contrary, could it be that you were influenced by Koyama?

Ms. Kayama has already crossed the waterfall, you see.

You also play games.

No way that's not it.

Also with oil paintings.

I drew it.

Isn't the wave painting wonderful?

Well, that's...

I just happen to live in a place where...

Since it's by the sea, let's let the waves draw.

Well, it's okay if you don't see it.

I see.

I had feelings, you know.

でも

But

What I like about pictures is

I've loved drawing since I was really little.

I see.

Well, after all

There are many paintings of waves.

It's really because of Chigasaki.

Due to the influence.

It's an influence.

I guess that's how it is, huh?

That's right.

Well, that's already...

It really starts at one and a half years old.

Until 33 years old.

You used to live near the beach in Chigasaki over there, didn't you?

It’s right in front of the ocean, isn’t it?

Right away.

Still, it's a place you can walk to, right?

I often go surfing.

Say "come back again."

I'm repeating it.

Were you surfing?

I was surfing.

Surfing

At first, you know.

It's the so-called first wave of Hawaiian-style surfing.

It was only in the newspaper.

Mr./Ms. Kayama is...

そう

Yes.

I was doing it alone again.

へー

Heh.

At first, it was the V-board, or as we would say now.

へー

Oh really?

My dad did that kind of thing too.

はー

Haa~

So when you do that surfing...

I was really good at catch waves, you know.

I see.

So, with that...

With this wave, for sure.

You should be able to surf in Hawaiian style.

So I made the board.

By yourself.

うん

Yeah.

Because it would get wet now.

Do a view.

I'm going to pull it.

うん

Yeah.

At that time, we made the frames one by one like this.

It's about the wings of a model airplane, not the actual wings.

やって

Do it.

Attach a 5mm veneer.

So please make sure to find the corner material nicely and properly.

So make sure to stick it on properly.

Drive in the nail.

Keep hitting the lacquer over and over again.

So once it's smooth, the next step is to apply the parfin, right?

"That's a row."

Attach the pin.

それで

So, that's it.

Ride the wave.

If you try it, you might be able to ride it.

Stand up for the third time.

I hope things go well.

Then Hawaii.

You weren't really around at that time, were you?

Peek-a-boo!

I think there might be someone doing that Boogie Woogie.

I haven't seen it before.

So after that, when I went to Hawaii...

Soon, it's going to be Gregnor.

Please buy a board.

はあ

Huh.

So, when I arrived at Haneda...

You have to go through customs, don't you?

It's Haneda.

うん

Yeah.

What do you mean by "What is this?"

So, you get all covered in sand with the Parfin, huh?

I brought it back dirty.

This is something called a surfboard, and you ride on it.

You can ride the waves with this.

Oh, is that how it is?

Well, I took it so please be careful.

Well, no one really knew, right?

I don't know about such things.

へえ

Oh really?

So it was the first time I did it, and it was properly published in the newspaper.

はあ

Haa.

How long have you been surfing?

There aren’t really that many.

So, it means that for the last 33 years, I have been living.

Huh, has it been that long the whole time?

There was almost a season, of course, but there was a season.

Oh, is that so?

Yeah, that was quite a few years ago.

Well, as for the part about surfing, that can also be left behind.

It's the part of creating the thing itself, isn't it?

That means Kaoyama-san will really become a parent, right?

For example, making models of ships.

Hah hah hah hah.

Like writing signals, or something like that.

In a sense, it exists.

Japan's most magnificent brightness.

And once again, the best in Japan.

You're quite a long-lived otaku, aren't you?

Longevity

You might say that quite often, but...

No, no.

It's okay to be a long-lived 84 years old.

That's right.

I'm grateful.

I apologize for the abrupt change in conversation, but...

Rather than saying I was saved,

It feels like I was saved.

That's right.

Supported by various people.

I received various ideas.

There are quite a few people who say that, right?

It feels like that.

When you have a serious illness, it definitely turns out that way.

That's how it ends up, isn't it?

I'm not sure if it's because of the serious illness or not.

I knew it.

When I thought I was living all by myself,

A big mistake.

There are various people around.

Thank you for supporting and teaching me.

I see that I can do it for the first time.

It will come to be as you think.

Even so, I just can't sit still.

No, I'm sitting still right now.

してますか

Are you doing it?

On the other hand, it's that, isn't it?

Very curious as well.

When the Beatles came to Japan

Ah, that's right.

10回を

10 times

They are occupying.

I can't go anywhere from here.

The emergency staircase continues.

Everything was a failure, wasn't it?

The only place I can go is...

To serve the rice.

It's a back road, isn't it?

That's the only thing.

If I said it's because it exists...

They talked to me about that.

That's right.

So I quickly went and left.

It's over there.

Just a moment.

Say that it's moving.

Ah, I'm glad you came.

Shake hands all of a sudden.

Ringo Starr is shaking hands.

I thought that, but when I was shaking hands...

Then, quickly take it from the side.

"Redid the handshake."

It's Paul.

McCartney

Paul McCartney

I'm glad you came.

Surprisingly, from there.

If you talk to me, it will all be Paul.

Is that so?

Others only talk about themselves now.

But there was that much conversation, huh?

Well, for now, yes.

After a while,

"I'm going to the window."

Then ride underneath.

It will come out after this.

I thought, "Huh?"

Go see it here.

When I appear...

Anyone can come out, and that's fine.

No, no, no.

That's not true.

Those who saw it from below must have been surprised.

I don't understand.

So small it can't be seen.

That's right.

It's on the 10th floor.

In Mr. Kayama's own music,

Could it be that you were influenced by The Beatles?

ある

to exist / to have

Is there?

It's definitely a song that feels like The Beatles.

It still exists.

Haa- (a sound of exasperation or sighing)

There are still some that I haven't released yet.

Is that so?

I often think they look alike.

へー

Oh really?

Just bring that out already.

You took out what was in the warehouse, huh?

I'm listening right now.

いや

No.

There's no poem.

"Let's have someone write a poem."

Can you write it for me?

No, that's ridiculous.

I can't write it.

No, that's okay.

Special lyrics

I really, really have no literary talent.

After all, I’ll write to Dango Sakusan.

No, no.

I will create a song for the disconnection.

I can't seem to write poetry well.

I'm thinking about it.

That Koyama-san.

Mr. Kuni Tanaka's

When it comes to the northern country...

After all, I can't do without Masashi Sada's singing voice.

I can't say why, but...

Sada's songwriting is...

How does Mr. Kayama feel?

I thought it was wonderful, but...

When this melody was created.

I heard about it.

When I said, "Why are there no words?"

I think words are unnecessary.

"I couldn't do it."

I felt like the person mentioned it.

Oh, is that so?

It's okay because this melody is good.

It's wonderful, isn't it?

I thought it was really great.

Just by listening to this music

That image comes to mind, doesn’t it?

Yes, this is something that only works in this scene.

That's right.

I realized that it has to be this song.

The ambassador from the north doesn't seem to be floating, right?

Mr. Kayama is also like that, right?

As a work of that severed relationship.

You have composed several songs for Sada-san, haven't you?

Commercial song

If I stroll aimlessly.

That's right.

Ah, that's the theme song of the young chief Yuu's leisurely walk.

I see, that's true.

Actually, everyone...

Mr. Kayama's enka is quite good too.

I like it.

I already love you so much.

It doesn't exist.

I just can’t take it anymore; karaoke is all enka now.

I see. What kind of songs do you like the most?

This Okudaira-boujo is the best, isn't it?

It's a good song, isn't it?

This is a good song.

Other songs, whatever they are.

Do you sing it in karaoke?

Aren't you watching it on BS while doing karaoke?

Sure, go for it! Be sure to match a lot of these!

Are we singing together?

They said it was Maekawa Kiyoshi and Guin, didn't they?

That's right, that's right, that's right.

Maekawa Kiyoshi's songs are

There's also a lot of it.

You used to be in a band, didn't you?

It has been continuing since my student days, hasn’t it?

Everyone liked that fellow, didn't they?

Waa waa waa ga

Everyone is a male student.

Is it someone like Minegishi?

Yes, yes, let's make Minegishi the leader.

I might sing a song by that classmate, Kitajima.

You'll sing, right?

Snow and wind flow journey

Oh, they're singing that too.

Oh, is that so?

Singing various songs.

Yeah, this is surprising, isn't it?

Is Kayama-san's theme your favorite?

That's it, isn't it?

It's enka, and it's called "Yuzawa Bohjo."

That's a nice song too, isn't it?

That's right.

Well, it's a song that feels like a family heirloom.

Just a little.

It feels somewhat different from Koyama's usual songs.

Well, a little bit.

Mr. Kayama was celebrated on his 84th birthday.

The new song, which will be my comeback work, is "Red Rose."

I heard that this was released for distribution.

Is this that?

As for the background leading up to this broadcast...

What kind of story is there?

Well, let's clean out the cupboard, shall we?

Everything was taken out, and the open reel box fell down with a clatter.

So, you said you would listen to it and check it out.

I handed it over to the record label.

Hasn't everyone heard this before?

There were a lot of songs that I had never heard of before that were trending.

It looks a lot like this kind of rose, but it's called a red rose.

There's something that has a poem in it.

When I thought I'd give that a listen and actually listened to it,

I haven't released this, have I? I haven't released it.

This is a song that was actually made 50 years ago.

I thought I'd just try doing it as it is, so I added more on top.

Your voice hasn't changed at all.

That's amazing, isn't it, Nakayama-san?

It's things like enka and J-pop.

There are various genres like folk and others.

Kayama's music is in the genre of Kayama Yuzou.

I can only say that if you say so.

That's not the case; I truly think so deeply.

Thank you, I'm really happy.

Just hearing you say that is already enough.

When you listened, didn't you feel that it had faded objectively?

I don't want to, though.

The rose that remained red

Yeah, just like that.

I just finished a painting with the exact same title.

Oh, I see.

The song called "Red Rose."

とともに

together with

I also drew a picture with the same title.

This is a phantom piece that has been reborn after more than half a century.

The staff said that the sound of the guitar was quite impressive.

Blue stardust

Maybe a little similar.

It makes you think a little.

Isn't this a classic young leader's song?

I'm definitely aware of that, after all.

I guess that's how it was back then, right?

In that sense, it means that it hasn't faded either.

Mr. Kayama himself will be directing.

While bringing out the vocals from the 60s.

Kuyama-san's current voice.

It seems that it has been mixed.

The A melody features Mr. Kayama from the '60s.

The B section is now Kayama-san.

In the returned A melody, at that time, Mr. Kayama...

It's that Kayama-san is harmonizing now.

That's right.

I knew it after all.

It still has the atmosphere of being made 53 years ago.

I’m surprised that it was 53 years ago.

The fact that they were creating sounds like this back then

Is that so?

I don't know why, but I...

The good thing about music is that...

"Don't transcend the era."

Do not transcend time.

Do not exceed the limits of the place.

I see.

Everything is concentrated in this one point.

That's how I feel, you know.

So if you think that way, then...

That's why I love music.

I'm glad to hear that.

I think so too.

It feels like it transcends everything.

So, for example, even a song from 100 years ago...

If the current person sang.

This is how it becomes today's music.

Ah, those kinds of things are fine.

So what it means to transcend that time is

That's why I loved music.

I think that's great.

You said you loved me, but...

That's still the case, isn't it?

It's in the progressive form, right?

I love you, after all.

Because love continues forever.

That's right.

That's right.

Whether you accept it or not is irrelevant.

Don't think about it.

It's better not to think about it.

That's not it.

Don't think about such things.

I just love sounds, no matter what.

I love you, you know.

That's why I naturally end up making things like this.

I thought that things that come out naturally are more valuable.

So please continue to stay active from now on as well.

I will continue to talk as well.

It's nice because there are scenes where I often fall asleep with my head resting while being rocked by the bus.

I see, thank you.

That's right, without that, Tokusan wouldn't have anything at all.

Thank you.

You can't do that, you have to sleep.

Thank you for your continued support for another 24 hours this year.

Thank you, the pleasure is mine.
