私は今回はその簡易役と序章を書いたわけなんですけど

ちょうど先週この書籍のプレゼント企画というものをいたしました

フロントエンドエンジニアのデザインシステムに開発する必要な介入とは何ですかという質問です

What are the necessary interventions for a front-end engineer when developing a design system?

なかなか難しいですね

It's quite difficult, isn't it?

あの特にこうデザインシステムの育て方をお送りいたします

I will send you how to nurture a design system in particular.

デザインシステムの育て方にもこういったところのヒントは隠れてるんじゃないかなと思うわけなんですが

I think there are hints hidden in how to nurture a design system.

そもそもそのチームの中でそのデザインシステムのゴールイメージっていうのはどこにあるのかっていうところで

First of all, where is the goal image of that design system within the team?

介入というのは変わってくると思うんですね

I believe that intervention will change.

でよくその書籍だったりとか

Well, that book or something like that.

あとはまあ他の他社さんのデザインシステムとか見ると

Well, when I look at the design systems of other companies...

実装と何かしらの連携がされている

It is linked to some kind of implementation.

それがそのリアクトだったりとか

That was that react or something.

あとはまあドキュメンテーションとかをですね

Well, as for the documentation and such.

ストーリーブックとかにまとめて公開するとか

Like compiling and publishing it in a storybook or something.

まずは管理してるっていう風なケースがあるんですけど

First of all, there are cases where it seems like we are managing it.

フロントエンドはもう間違いなく必要だという風に考える方もいらっしゃると思います

I believe there are people who think that front-end development is undoubtedly necessary.

本当にこうデザインシステムを作っていく

We will truly create a design system like this.

育てていくという風な観点からすると

From the perspective of nurturing.

フロントエンドエンジニアの存在は欠かせないと言っても過言ではないと思います

I believe it is not an exaggeration to say that the presence of front-end engineers is indispensable.

それではですね初期にそのフロントエンドエンジニアの人たちが

介入すべきかどうかというところは議論が必要です

先ほども申し上げたように事例とか見ると

コードと連携されているのが当たり前と

今デザイナーがどういう風な働き方をしているのか

そこにまず注目しなければいけないところかなと思います

例えばですけどあまりフロントエンドとの連携があまりない

For example, there isn’t much collaboration with the front end.

比較的孤立した状態になっているとか

It seems to be in a relatively isolated state.

場合によってはデザイナーは外中に任せているという風なケースもあると思います

There are cases where designers may hand over tasks to external parties, depending on the situation.

そうしたデザイナーがどういう風なポジションで

What kind of position do such designers hold?

組織にいるのかというのがまず一つですし

"First of all, it's whether you are in an organization."

彼らがどういう風な期待と職域の責任範囲を持っているのか

What kind of expectations and responsibilities do they have in their roles?

というところも注意しなければいけないところかなと思います

I think that's a point that we need to pay attention to.

本当にインターフェースを考える人っていう風な場合もありますし

Sometimes there are cases where they truly think about the interface.

もしくはもう少しPMと寄り添った働き方をする

Alternatively, work in a way that aligns more closely with the PM.

そこで要件を固めながらガーッといろんなものを作っていく

While solidifying the requirements, we create various things rapidly.

みたいな感じの働き方をするという風なケースも当然あると思います

I think there are certainly cases where people work in that kind of way.

その時にデザインシステムが

At that time, the design system was

どういう風な存在であるとより機能するのかというところを

What kind of existence would be more functional?

考えなければいけないわけですよね

I have to think about it, right?

またデザインチームというのが

Also, there is a design team.

あまり成長過程にあるという風な場合もあると思うんですよね

I think there are cases where it seems like they are still in a growth process.

全員がFigmaを使いこなして

Everyone is proficient in using Figma.

かつフロントエンドの知識もあって

Also has knowledge of front-end.

それを考慮しながらデザインができるとかっていったら

If you can design while considering that, then...

またそんなことはないケースもあると思いますし

I think there are cases where it's not like that as well.

また新人をどんどん雇って大きくしていきたいという風な

目標の中でデザインチームが動いていると

When the design team is working within the goals

どうしてもどんどんいろんな人が入ってきて

No matter what, various people keep coming in.

スキルが一定化しないという風な可能性もあると思います

I think there is also a possibility that skills may not stabilize.

その時にフロントエンドとの連携を考慮した

At that time, I took into consideration the collaboration with the front end.

デザインシステムを作っていこうという風になってくると

When it starts to become a movement to create a design system,

だいぶ複雑になってくるわけですよね

It is going to get quite complicated, isn't it?

もちろん最終的にはそこにたどり着くべきだと思うんですけど

デザインチームが成熟していないとか

The design team is not mature.

職域が定まっていない

The area of responsibility is not clearly defined.

もしくは実装の方にあまり寄り添っていないという風なケースの時に

いきなり実装と連携したデザインシステムを作りましょうとか

Let's suddenly create a design system that is implemented and integrated.

だいたい途中でうまくいかなくなるという風なケースがあると思います

I think there are cases where things tend to not go well midway.

どういったステップでこういったデザインシステムを作っていくのか

What steps are involved in creating such a design system?

そもそも必要なのかどうかという風なところは

The question of whether it is even necessary in the first place is something to consider.

まず議論の最初になると思うんですけど

I think this will be the beginning of the discussion.

どのように成長させていくと

How to foster growth?

自分たちの組織に馴染むデザインシステムになるのかという風な計画を

A plan to create a design system that fits within our organization.

立てなければいけないと思います

I think we need to stand up.

その計画の時にやるかやらないか

Whether to do it or not at the time of that plan.

本当にコードの実装をするかどうかはさておき

Whether or not to actually implement the code aside,

その初期の段階にフロントエンドの方が

At that early stage, the front-end side...

こういう風にやった方がいいかもしれないとか

It might be better to do it this way.

今の現状でもうまくコミュニケーションができていないから

考え方になりがちという風なところって

それは一つのキャリアステージの中で

これ書籍の難しいところって

読んだ人のゴールを達成させなくちゃいけない

今教えるっていうのって
