僕の本当に人生の大きな転機だったんですけども

その僕自身はすごく本当に田舎ですね

山と田んぼがいっぱいある

There are many mountains and rice fields.

そういうところで生まれ育って

I was born and raised in such a place.

だからその本とか

So that book and so on.

本とかというか本ですね

It's more like a book, or rather it is a book.

本いい本に出会うことがすごい喜びで

Finding a good book is a great joy.

あの周りの大人とか

The adults around that place.

学校の先生は教えてくれないことを

Things that school teachers won't tell you.

すごく人生で大事なことを教えてくれる

It teaches you very important things about life.

そういう本に出会うのが本当に楽しみで

あのまあ若い時を歩んでですね

At that time, I was in my twenties.

その日本で7つの習慣が出版された時は20代で

When "The 7 Habits" was published in Japan, I was in my 20s.

その時はいいことが書いてあるのは分かるんだけど

I can tell that there are good things written at that time, but...

あのちゃんとは理解把握できてなかったんですよね

I didn't really understand that girl.

でいろんな人生の流れがあって

本当に転機になったってことはね

It really became a turning point, you know.

そういうのがあったのが

その日本法人の創業者のジェームスキナーさんという

アメリカ人の方ですね

ご縁ができまして

これもね偶然たまたまのご縁で

それで結局ね一緒に働くことになりまして

So in the end, we ended up working together.

何をね教えられたかっていうと

例えばね7つの習慣で言うと

この中にミッションステートメントっていうのが

There is something called a mission statement in here.

あるんですけれども

There is, however.

これご存知の方も多いと思うし

I think many of you are familiar with this.

それから自分なりにミッションステートメントとか

Then, I created my own mission statement and so on.

ビジョンとか

Vision or something like that.

描き出してる方もいらっしゃると思います

I believe there are people who are expressing themselves through their drawings.

あるいは夢をね

Or perhaps a dream.

夢リストを100個描くとかですね

Like creating a dream list of 100 items.

そういうことをやってる方もいると思うんだけど

I think there are people doing such things.

それでね人生がすごく良くなった人も

And so, there are people whose lives have improved a lot.

いると思うんですけど

I think there is.

もう一方でねそういうの書いたけど

On the other hand, I wrote something like that, but...

自分の人生がなんかあんまり変わってない

My life hasn't really changed much.

ミッションとかビジョンとか夢リストとか書いても

Even if I write about missions, visions, or dream lists,

自分の人生とか自分のビジネス

My life and my business.

現実っていうのはそんなに簡単には変わらないよって

Reality doesn't change that easily.

思ってる人ももしかしたらね

Maybe there are people who are thinking that too.

いるかもしれないです

It might be there.

それで言うとですね

In that case,

そのミッションビジョン夢リスト

That mission vision dream list.

こういうのを描いた時に

"When I draw something like this"

自分のやっぱりこの内なる

My inner self, after all.

情熱がね

It's passion, you know.

内なる炎がね

The inner flame, you know.

点火するっていうことは

To ignite means...

経験ある方って

"Someone with experience, right?"

何がしかある

There is something.

皆さんお持ちだと思うんですね

I think everyone has it.

分かりやすいのは

What's easy to understand is

大好きな

I love you.

異性ですよね

It's the opposite sex, right?

大好きな恋人

My beloved partner.

もう本当に惚れ込んじゃう

I'm really falling for you.

という人に出会った時には

When I meet someone like that

もう情熱が灯ると思うんですよ

I think passion will ignite again.

そして無理だとか

"And it's impossible or something."

そういうのがあったとしても

Even if such a thing existed.

もう関係ないというようなですね

It’s like saying it no longer matters.

これは恋愛に限らず

This is not limited to romance.

自分の人生とかビジネスにおいても

In my life and in business as well

炎が灯る

The flame is lit.

情熱の炎が灯るっていう

They say that the flame of passion ignites.

そういう

Like that

例えばすっぱらしい映画とかね

For example, a wonderful movie, or something like that.

名作であって

It's a masterpiece.

胸が熱くなるっていうのがね

It's about having a passionate heart.

あると思うんですけども

I think there is.

これが大事だよっていうのを

This is what’s important.

すごく教わったんですね

You learned a lot, didn't you?

なんかワクワクするっていうか

It's kind of exciting, or rather.

本能的に反応を感じる

I feel a reaction instinctively.

好きだって感じたり

I feel like I love you.

それが大切っていう

That is what is important.

ですね

That's right.

そこっていわゆる理屈

That's what you call reasoning.

っていうのはないと

That's not the case.

それが大事だっていうのを

That is what is important.

すごく教わりまして

I learned a lot.

逆に言うとですね

In other words,

理論理屈もあるんですけど

There is also a theoretical reasoning behind it.

戦略とか戦術とか

Strategies and tactics.

そういうのも

大事はするんですが

でも一番大事なのは

まああったタイミングだったんですね

Well, I suppose it was just the right timing.

でこれからのビジョン何を語ろうかなと言った時に

So when I think about what to talk about regarding the vision for the future...

いろいろ自問自答検討してですね

I've been contemplating and questioning myself in various ways.

出た結論が

The conclusion reached is

まずその何つの瞬間でね

First, in that moment, you know.

終わりを思い描くことから始めるってのがあるんですが

There is something about starting by imagining the end.

自分の終わりどうしようかなという時に

When I'm thinking about what to do with my own end.

まあ一生現役だと思うんですけど

Well, I think I'll be active for a lifetime.

ライフワークをね

A lifelong work.

生きていくと思うんですが

I think I will continue to live.

ただ何か区切りを決めるとしたら

If I were to set some sort of boundary...

あのちょうどじゃあ41歳

Well, then I'm exactly 41 years old.

異性人群の式年戦区がある

There is a periodic war zone for alien species.

20年後61歳の時にまた式年戦区がある

In 20 years, when I am 61 years old, there will be another Shikinen Sengu.

ということで

So, that's it.

じゃあ次の式年戦区20年で

Well then, the next ceremonial year will be in 20 years.

やりたいことはもうこの間にやっておこうと

I want to do what I want to do during this time.

でその日本で言うと歓歴60歳っていうのが

Well, in Japan, that would be referred to as the 60th birthday celebration.

一つの節目なんですが
