夢を解き明かすヨセフ

本日の礼拝のために与えられています 説教の御言葉を拝読いたします

I will read the words of the sermon given for today's worship.

創世紀40章1節から8節 教会備え付けの聖書では72ページ

Genesis 40:1-8, on page 72 of the church-provided Bible.

前の方の旧約聖書72ページでございます

It is on page 72 of the Old Testament in the front section.

創世紀40章1節から8節 これらのことの後

Genesis 40:1-8 After these things

エジプト王の賢釈官と調理官とが その主君エジプト王に罪を犯した

The wise minister and cook of the Egyptian king committed a crime against their lord, the Egyptian king.

それでパロはこの賢釈官官長と調理官官長の

So, Paro has this wise preceptor and the chief cooking officer.

失礼いたしました

I apologize for the inconvenience.

賢釈官長と調理官長の二人の提審を怒り

Angered by the two proposals from the chief advisor and the chief cook.

彼らを侍従長の家に拘留した

They were detained in the house of the chief chamberlain.

すなわちヨセフが監禁されている 同じ監獄に入れた

In other words, he was put in the same prison where Joseph was confined.

侍従長はヨセフを彼らの付き人にしたので

The chamberlain made Joseph their attendant.

彼はその世話をした

He took care of that.

こうして彼らはしばらく拘留されていた

In this way, they were detained for a while.

さて

Well then.

監獄に監禁されているエジプト王の賢釈官と調理官とは

The wise minister and cook of the Egyptian king who is imprisoned in a dungeon.

二人とも同じ夜にそれぞれ夢を見た

Both of them had dreams on the same night.

その夢には各々の意味があった

Each dream had its own meaning.

朝ヨセフが彼らのところに行って

In the morning, Joseph went to them.

よく見ると彼らはイライラしていた

Upon closer inspection, they were irritated.

それで彼は自分の主人の家に一緒に拘留されている

So he is detained together with his master at his master's house.

このパロの提審たちに尋ねて

Ask these parody judges.

なぜ今日はあなたが彼らの家に住んでいるのかと

Why are you living in their house today?

彼は彼らの家に住んでいるのかと

I wonder if he lives in their house.

彼らは彼らの家に住んでいるのかと

Are they living in their house?

今日はあなた方の顔色が悪いのですかと言った

I asked if you all looked pale today.

二人は彼に答えた

The two answered him.

私たちは夢を見たがそれを解き明かす人がいない

We had a dream, but there is no one to decipher it.

ヨセフは彼らに言った

Joseph said to them.

それを解き明かすことは神のなさることではありませんか

Isn't it something only God can unravel?

さあそれを私に話してください

Now tell me about it.

夢を解き明かすヨセフ

Joseph Reveals Dreams

皆さんこんにちは

Hello everyone.

こんにちは

Hello

先週は創世紀の36書の方

Last week was about the 36th chapter of Genesis.

37書の方

The person of 37 books.

も見てきましたけれども

I have also seen it.

今日は少し間を飛んでいますが

Today I'm skipping a bit of time.

ちょっと37書の方を開いてみていただけますでしょうか

Could you please take a look at document 37?

創世紀の37書のところ

The part of the book of Genesis 37.

今日のタイトルは

Today's title is

夢を解き明かすヨセフという風に書いております

It is written as "Joseph, who unravels dreams."

このヨセフの生涯の中では

In the life of this Joseph,

夢が大きな役割を果たしているようですが

It seems that dreams play a significant role.

最初に見てみると

When you first take a look

最初に見た夢が37章のところに記されています

The first dream I saw is recorded in chapter 37.

これは2節のところを見ていただきますと

If you look at the second verse,

ヨセフは17歳の時という風に書いてあります

It is written that Joseph was 17 years old.

そこをちょっと簡単に見ていただきたいと思うんですが

I would like you to take a quick look at that.

37章の7節で

In verse 7 of chapter 37.

ヨセフが最初に見た夢を兄弟たちに話しています

Joseph is talking to his brothers about the dream he saw first.

見ると私たちは畑で束を束ねています

When I look, we are bundling stalks in the field.

すると突然私の束が立ち上がり

Then, suddenly, my bundle stood up.

しかもまっすぐに立っているのです

Moreover, it is standing straight up.

見るとあなた方の束が周りに来て

When I look, your group comes around.

私の束にお辞儀をしました

I bowed to my bundle.

こういう夢です

This is the kind of dream.

夢を解き明かしと言いましても

Even if I say I'm unraveling a dream,

こういう夢は意味が

Dreams like this have meaning.

なんか簡単に分かりそうな気がいたします

I have a feeling it seems easy to understand.

兄弟たちもすぐその夢の話を聞いて

The brothers soon heard about that dream.

その夢を解き明かしと言いましても

Even if I say to unravel that dream...

意味するところが分かったようですね

It seems you have understood what it means.

つまりヨセフお前が我々の王にでもなろうというのか

In other words, Joseph, are you trying to become our king?

というふうに非常に反感を持ちました

I had a strong aversion to that.

そしてそれについてヨセフが見ました

And concerning that, Joseph saw.

二つ目の夢が9節のところにありました

The second dream was found in verse 9.

ヨセフはまた他の夢を見て

Joseph had another dream.

それを兄弟たちに話した

I told my brothers about it.

彼はまた私は夢を見て

He also said that I am dreaming.

夢を見ましたよ

I had a dream.

見ると太陽と月と十一の星が私を不死拝んでいるのですと言った

He said, "When I look, the sun, the moon, and eleven stars are bowing to me in immortality."

この夢も私たちになんとなく見当がつきますね

We can somehow guess this dream, can't we?

太陽と月と十一の星

The sun, the moon, and eleven stars.

どうやら太陽というのはお父さんを表しているらしい

It seems that the sun represents the father.

そして月というのがお母さんを表しているようだ

And it seems that the moon represents the mother.

また十一の星というのは

"Also, the eleven stars are..."

ヨセフが十二人兄弟でしたから

Because Joseph had twelve brothers.

他の兄弟たちもお父さんお母さんとともに

The other siblings are also with Dad and Mom.

自分を礼拝するようになる

Become someone who worships oneself.

私を不死拝む

Worship me as an immortal.

そういうことを意味している内容であることが

It means that it has content that signifies such a thing.

なんとなく私たちにも想像がつくような内容だと思います

I think it's a content that we can somehow imagine as well.

そこで彼らはヨセフを非常に妬みます

So they became very envious of Joseph.

その妬みの中には

Within that jealousy

ヨセフが父親から愛されていた

Joseph was loved by his father.

特別な扱いを受けていたということもありまして

Because I was given special treatment.

兄たちがこのヨセフを憎んで

The brothers hated this Joseph.

そして結局は彼をエジプトの方に売り飛ばしてしまうわけですね

And in the end, you end up selling him off to Egypt, don't you?

ミディアン人という大将が来たときに

When the general of the Medians arrived

ヨセフを彼らに売り渡してしまいました

They sold Joseph to them.

銀20枚でヨセフを売ったと書かれています

It is written that he sold Joseph for twenty silver coins.

その37章の28節のところです

This is the part of chapter 37, verse 28.

そしてその大将であったミディアン人たちは

And those Midianites who were the leaders

そのヨセフを連れてエジプトに渡ります

I will take that Joseph and go to Egypt.

そこで

So, then.

パルの弟子であった

He was a disciple of Pal.

侍従長のポティファルという人に

To the person named Potifar, the Chief Chamberlain

そのヨセフを奴隷として売り渡します

I will sell that Joseph as a slave.

これも37章の36節のところにありました

This was also in verse 36 of chapter 37.

そして今日は39節のところもちょっと見ていただきたいんですけれども

And today, I would like you to take a look at verse 39 as well.

エジプトに売り渡されたヨセフ

Joseph Sold into Egypt

その様子を少し見ていただきたいと思いますが

I would like you to take a look at that situation for a moment.

その1節

That passage.

ヨセフがエジプトへ連れて行かれたとき

When Joseph was taken to Egypt.

パルの弟子で侍従長のポティファルという一人のエジプト人が

There is an Egyptian named Potiphar, who is a disciple of Pal and the chief chamberlain.

ヨセフをそこに連れて下ってきた

He brought Joseph down there.

イシュマエル人の手から買い取った

Bought from the hand of the Ishmaelites.

ヨセフを買い取った

I bought Joseph.

ところがそこで素晴らしいことが書かれています

However, there is something wonderful written there.

2節からずっと続きますけれども

It will continue from section 2.

その一部分を読んでいきたいと思いますが

I would like to read that part.

39章の2節を見てください

Please look at verse 2 of chapter 39.

主がヨセフと共におられたので

Because the Lord was with Joseph.

彼は幸運な人となり

He became a fortunate person.

そのエジプト人の主人の家にいた

I was at the house of that Egyptian master.

彼の主人は主が彼と共におられ

His master is with him.

主が彼のすることすべてを成功させてくださるのを見た

I saw the Lord causing all that he does to succeed.

ここで主がつまり神様がヨセフと共におられた

The Lord, that is, God, was with Joseph here.

ということが繰り返されて書かれています

It is written that this is repeated.

これは実に素晴らしいことだと思います

I think this is truly wonderful.

神様が共にいてくださるならば

If God is with us, then...

どんなことがあろうとも

No matter what happens.

神様はその人を守り祝福して

God protects and blesses that person.

くださる

to give (to me/us)

奴隷として

As a slave.

エジプトで売られてしまったんですけれども

It was sold in Egypt, though.

神様が共にいてくださったために

Because God was with us.

その家で神様は彼を大いに祝福してくださった

In that house, God greatly blessed him.

そしてその奴隷を使っている主人も

And the master who is using that slave too.

神様がどうやら彼と共にいらっしゃるらしい

It seems that God is with him.

ということをよく気がつくように

Make sure to be aware of that well.

神様の恵みがあふれていたようです

It seems that the blessings of God were overflowing.

そして彼がすることすべてを

And everything he does.

神様が成功させてくださっているのを

God is making us succeed.

この主人も目の当たりにします

This master will witness it firsthand.

したがってその主人もこのヨセフを特別に扱います

Therefore, that master also treats this Joseph specially.

4節を読みますと

When I read the fourth verse...

それでヨセフは主人にことのほか愛され

And so Joseph was particularly loved by his master.

主人は彼を側近の者とし

The master made him a close associate.

その家を管理させ

Let me manage that house.

彼の全財産をヨセフの手に委ね 委ねた

He entrusted all his wealth into Joseph's hands.

奴隷でありながら

Despite being a slave

その家の全財産を委ねるということは

To entrust all the assets of that house means...

相当の信頼を勝ち得ていたことがわかります

It is clear that he had gained considerable trust.

5節主人が彼に

Verse 5: The master said to him.

その家と全財産等を管理させた時から

Since the time I had them manage that house and all my assets.

主はヨセフの故に

Because of Joseph.

このエジプト人の家を祝福し

Bless this Egyptian house.

祝福された

Blessed.

それで主の祝福が家や野にある全財産の上にあった

And so the Lord's blessing was upon all the possessions in the house and in the field.

ヨセフ本人ばかりではなく

Not just Joseph himself

ヨセフがいたその家の主人の持ち物まで

Even the possessions of the master of the house where Joseph was.

神様の祝福を受けた

Received the blessing of God.

そして6節を読みますと

"And then, when I read verse 6..."

彼はヨセフの手に全財産を委ね

He entrusted all his possessions to Joseph.

自分の食べる食物以外には何も気を使わなかった

I didn't pay attention to anything other than the food I eat.

もう全部をヨセフに委ねて安心しきっていたわけですね

So you were completely at ease, having entrusted everything to Joseph.

そしてその最後のところに

And at that final point...

6節の最後に気になる言葉がありますが

At the end of section 6, there is a word that catches my attention.

しかもヨセフは体格も良く美男子であったとあります

Moreover, it is stated that Joseph was well-built and handsome.

これも素晴らしいことですが

This is also a wonderful thing, but

しかしこれがある意味での災いを招くことに

However, this can bring about misfortune in a sense.

なったようです

It seems that it has become.

7節を見ていただきますと

If you look at verse 7,

そこにとんでもないことが起ころうとしていることがわかります

I can see that an unbelievable thing is about to happen there.

いわゆる魔の手が忍び寄ってくるということが言えると思いますが

I think it's safe to say that the so-called hand of evil is creeping closer.

7節

Verse 7

これらのことの後

After these things

主人の妻はヨセフに目をつけて

The master's wife has her eyes on Joseph.

私と寝ておくれと言った

They said, "Please sleep with me."

しかし彼は拒んで主人の妻に言った

However, he refused and said to his master's wife.

ご覧ください

Please take a look.

私の主人は家の中のことは何でも私に任せ

My husband leaves everything concerning the house to me.

気を使わず

Don't worry about it.

全財産を私の手に委ねられました

All my assets have been entrusted to my hands.

ご主人はこの家の中で

The master is in this house.

私より大きな権威を振るおうとはされず

Do not try to exert greater authority than me.

あなた以外には何も私に差し止めてはおられません

Nothing else is stopping me other than you.

あなたがご主人の奥様だからです

It's because you are your husband's wife.

どうしてそのような大きな悪事をして

Why are you committing such a great crime?

私は神に罪を犯すことができましょうか

Can I commit a sin against God?

ヨセフは

Joseph is

避難して体格も良く

Evacuated and in good shape.

人から見ても魅力のある男だったようですね

It seems he was a man who appeared attractive to others as well.

そこでこともあろうに

There, as fate would have it.

主人の妻がヨセフに言い寄ってきた

The master's wife came on to Joseph.

しかしヨセフは神様の前にも

But Joseph was also before God.

人の前にも罪を犯したくないという決意を持っていたようです

It seems that there was a determination not to commit sins in front of others.

それを拒絶いたしますけれども

I will refuse that, however.

しかし運の悪いことにと言いましょうか

Well, it's unfortunate to say...

これも

This too.

不思議なことですけれども

It's a strange thing, but...

ある意味では神様の導きがその背後にあったように思います

In a sense, I feel that there was a divine guidance behind it.

ある日誰もいない時に

One day when no one was around

ヨセフがその家に入って仕事をしようとしていました

Joseph was trying to enter the house and work.

そしてそのご主人の奥さんはそこにいたわけですね

And so the wife of that master was there, right?

そして誰もいないことをいいことに

And taking advantage of the fact that no one is there.

その奥様は

That wife is...

ヨセフにまた言い寄ってきます

She will come on to Joseph again.

11節12節のところでは

In verses 11 and 12...

ある日のこと彼が仕事をしようとして家に入ると

One day, when he was about to start working and entered the house,

家の中には家の者どもが一人もいなかった

There was not a single member of the household inside the house.

それで彼女はヨセフの上着をつかんで

So she grabbed Joseph's coat.

私と寝ておくれと言った

He said, "Sleep with me, please."

しかしヨセフはその上着を彼女の手に残し

However, Joseph left his cloak in her hand.

逃げて外へ出た

I ran away and went outside.

彼はその場を逃れたので

He escaped from the scene.

彼が着ていたその上着が

The jacket he was wearing.

その主人の奥様の手に残ってしまった

It was left in the hands of the master's wife.

19節20節の方を見ていただきますと

If you look at verses 19 and 20,

ご主人が帰ってきた時に

When the master returns home.

その奥さんがご主人に言います

The wife says to her husband.

主人は妻が

My husband is my wife.

あなたの奴隷は私にこのようなことをしたんです

Your slave did something like this to me.

と言って

That said

その告げた言葉を聞いて怒りに燃えた

Hearing those words that were spoken ignited my anger.

そしてヨセフの主人は彼を捉え

And Joseph's master caught him.

王の囚人が監禁されている監獄に入れた

The king's prisoner was placed in the prison where he is confined.

こうして彼は監獄にいたとあります

It is said that he was in prison like this.

ヨセフ自身は間違ったことをしていないんですけども

Joseph himself hasn’t done anything wrong, though.

誰もその場に他の人がいなかった

There was no one else there.

証人がいなかった

There were no witnesses.

その度にその奥さんが言った言葉を

Every time, the words that wife said were

ご主人はそのまま信じてしまうだろう

Your husband would probably believe that right away.

いなかった

There wasn't anyone.

その場に他の人がいなかった証人がいなかったそのためにその奥さんが言った言葉をご主人はそのまま信じてしまうだろうえなかった

There were no other people around, no witnesses; that's why the husband would likely believe the words his wife said just as they were.

結果はヨセフが牢獄に入れられてしまったということですね

The result is that Joseph was put in prison.

でも21節そして23節のところまで見ていただきますと

However, if you look up to verse 21 and verse 23...

ここでも素晴らしいことが書かれています

Wonderful things are written here as well.

しかし主はヨセフと共におられ

But the Lord was with Joseph.

彼に恵みを施し

Bestow grace upon him.

監獄の長の心にかなうようにされた

Made to please the heart of the warden.

それで監獄の長は

So the warden of the prison

その監獄にいるすべての人がいなかった

Everyone in that prison was gone.

すべての囚人をヨセフの手に委ねた

All the prisoners were entrusted to Joseph's care.

ヨセフはそこでなされるすべてのことを管理するようになった

Joseph came to be in charge of everything that was done there.

監獄の長はヨセフの手に任せたことについては何も干渉しなかった

The warden of the prison did not interfere with anything that was entrusted to Joseph's hands.

それは主が彼と共におられ

The Lord was with him.

彼が何をしても主がそれを成功させてくださったからである

It is because the Lord made everything he did succeed.

無実の罪で

For an innocent crime.

監獄にいられてしまうということは非常に不幸なことです

Being imprisoned is a very unfortunate thing.

ある意味ではこれ以上不幸な人はいないかもしれませんけれども

In a sense, there may be no one more unfortunate than this.

しかし主はヨセフと共におられた

But the Lord was with Joseph.

そしてたとえそこが監獄の中であろうとも

And even if that place is inside a prison.

神様は彼に十分な恵みを施すことができるお方

God is the one who can grant him sufficient grace.

監獄を監督するその長の心にさえも

Even in the heart of the warden who supervises the prison.

そのヨセフが叶うようにしてくださった

That Joseph made it possible.

そのために監獄に入っても

Even if I have to go to prison for that.

主人が信用してすべてを任せたように

As if the master entrusted everything to me with trust.

牢獄の中とはいえ

Even though it's in a prison.

その監督官はヨセフにすべてを任せきってしまう

The supervisor completely entrusts everything to Joseph.

そしてすべてのことが主によって成功させていただく

And everything will be made successful by the Lord.

そういう環境の中に入っている人たちがいたという

There were people who were in such an environment.

素晴らしい状況を見ることができます

You can see a wonderful situation.

私たちの生涯もこうならばいいですね

It would be nice if our lifetime could be like this too.

どんな不幸が襲ってこようとも

No matter what misfortune may come.

それに負けずに神様がどういう中に私たちを置かれたとしても

No matter how God has placed us in this situation, we won't be defeated by it.

私たちは神様の祝福を受ける

We will receive the blessings of God.

すべてのことがそこでも成功できる

Everything can succeed there as well.

そういう内容ならば私たちは

If that's the case, then we...

そういう環境の中に入ってきて

Entering such an environment.

入ってしまうともうがっくりきてしまって

Once you get in, it really hits you hard.

何をする勇気もなくなるでしょう

You will lose the courage to do anything.

もうやけっぱちになるかもしれません

I might become reckless.

けれどもヨセフはそういうところでも

However, Joseph is also in such places.

忠実に与えられたことを守っていた

I faithfully kept what was entrusted to me.

そういう姿を見て人から信用されたということができるように思います

I believe that seeing such a姿 can lead to being trusted by others.

そして今日の40章のところに

And at today's chapter 40...

移っていただきたいんですけども

I would like you to move, if possible.

ヨセフと夢とが深い関係があると言いましたけども

You said that Joseph and dreams are deeply related, didn't you?

ここでも夢がまた出てきます

Dreams appear here again.

今度はヨセフ自身が見た夢ではなくて

This time it's not a dream that Joseph himself saw.

同じ監獄に閉じ込められた人の見た夢ですけども

This is a dream seen by a person who was imprisoned in the same prison.

そこに2節のところに

In that section, at the second verse.

賢釈官長と調理官長の2人という名前が出てきます

The names of the chief scholar and the chief cook are mentioned.

この2人ともその役柄からすれば

Both of these two, considering their roles...

非常に大切な地位についていた人ということができるように思います

It seems that they held a very important position.

どちらも最も王様の信頼を得ていないと任されない仕事ですね

Both are jobs that require the highest level of trust from the king to be entrusted with them.

賢釈官という名前が出てきますけども

The name of Kenishaku Kan comes up, but...

パルの王様が飲む酒漬けを王様に献上する役

The role of presenting the sake marinated by the king of Pals to the king.

しかしそれだけではなくて

But that's not all.

その場合には王様が口にするその食物の毒味役もしたというふうに言われています

In that case, it is said that the king also acted as a taste tester for the food.

そして事実上の王様の相談役でもあったということです

And it is said that he was also the de facto king's advisor.

そういう最も高い地位に上がったとも言えるような

It can be said that I have risen to such a high position.

そういう人でしたけども

He was that kind of person, though.

何を知れかしたので王様の怒りに触れたのかということは書かれていません

It is not stated what caused the king's anger.

もう一人の調理官というのも

The other cook as well.

パルの食事を用意するそういう責任を持った人ですね

They are someone who takes on the responsibility of preparing meals for Pal.

もちろんこの賢釈官長調理官長とありますから

Of course, it says here that this is the Chief Perspicacious Officer and Chief Cook.

その下にたくさんの働く人がいましたけれども

There were many working people underneath that.

全ての責任は彼らに委ねられている

All responsibility has been entrusted to them.

そういう二人が王様の怒りを買ったために

Because those two incurred the king's wrath.

ヨセフが入っていた同じその牢獄に入れられてしまうことになった

He ended up being thrown into the same prison that Joseph was in.

ヨセフはいわばその牢獄の先輩でしょうか

Joseph is, so to speak, a senior in that prison.

その監督から信頼されていたために

Because I was trusted by that director.

この二人の人たちをもヨセフの手にこう任せた

"These two people were entrusted to Joseph's hands as well."

そしてその二人が見た夢で悩んでいるときに

And when those two were troubled by the dream they saw.

それを見たヨセフが声をかけます

Seeing that, Joseph calls out.

同じ日々同じような夢を見た

I had the same days and the same kind of dreams.

四十章の五節ですね

It's verse five of chapter forty.

それが気になったために二人は悩んでいた

The two of them were troubled because that was on their minds.

一体今の夢は何なんだろう

I wonder what this dream is all about.

私たちも夢を見ることがよくあると思います

I think we often have dreams too.

時には非常に気になる夢というのがありますね

Sometimes there are dreams that can be very concerning.

気持ちが悪いどうしてもすっきりしない

I feel sick and just can't shake it off.

どういう意味があるんだろう

I wonder what it means.

そういうことで悩まされることもあるかと思います

I think there are times when you may be troubled by that kind of thing.

大抵の夢は意味がないものかもしれませんけれども

Most dreams may have no meaning at all, but...

この二人が見た夢どうしても気になって忘れることができない

I can't help but be curious about the dream these two saw; I can't forget it.

その悩んでいる様子を見てヨセフが声をかけます

Seeing her troubled demeanor, Joseph calls out to her.

そうしますと私たちは夢を見たけれども

In that case, we dreamed, but...

それを解き明かす人がいないんだと

There's no one to unveil it.

八節の男でその二人が答えました

The man of the eight virtues answered the two.

それを聞いてヨセフはその夢を解き明かすということは

Hearing that, Joseph thought about what it meant to interpret the dream.

神様がなさることではないですか

Isn't it something that God does?

すなわち人間にはそれは難しいことできないこと

In other words, it is something that is difficult for humans to do.

けれども念のために私にその話をしてみてくれませんかと声をかけます

However, just to be sure, could you please tell me that story?

ということはヨセフは神様がなんとなく

This means that Joseph somehow has God.

このヨセフに何かを示そうとしていらっしゃるということに

You are trying to show something to this Joseph.

気づいていたかもしれませんが

You may have noticed, but...

その夢を聞いてみてください

Please give that dream a listen.

聞きます

I will listen.

そこで話したいその夢が

The dream I want to talk about there.

賢釈館長の方の夢は十節にありました

The dream of the director of Ken-shaku-kan was in ten sections.

そのブドウの木には三本の鶴があった

There were three cranes on that grapevine.

ブドウの木というのがその夢の中に出てきたわけですね

The vine appeared in that dream, didn't it?

そして三本の鶴があってそれが芽を出した

And there were three cranes, and they sprouted.

すぐに花が咲いた

The flowers bloomed immediately.

そしてブドウの草が熟して

And then the grape grass ripens.

ブドウの実があった

There were grapes.

十一節

Eleventh verse

私の手にはパルの杯があったから

Because I had Pal's cup in my hand.

私はそのブドウを摘んで

I will pick that grape.

それをパルの杯の中に絞っていれ

Squeeze that into Pal's cup.

その杯をパルの手に捧げた

I offered that cup to Pal's hands.

これはどういう意味があるんだろう

I wonder what this means.

そうするとヨセフはすかさずそれに対して解説を解き明かしをします

Then Joseph immediately provides an explanation in response to that.

十二節

Twelfth Section

その解き明かしはこうです

The explanation is as follows.

三本の鶴は三日のことです

The three cranes are for three days.

三日のうちにパルはあなたを呼び出し

Within three days, Pal will call you out.

あなたを元の地位に戻すでしょう

I will restore you to your original position.

あなたがパルの賢釈官であったときの以前の規定に従って

In accordance with the previous regulations when you were the wise minister of Pal.

パルの杯をその手に捧げるでしょう

You shall offer the cup of Pal to that hand.

素晴らしい未来がやってきますよ

A wonderful future is coming.

というそういう解説でした

That was the explanation.

解き明かしでした

It was a revelation.

そして十四節

And then the fourteenth verse.

ヨセフはその時その賢釈官長に頼むんですね

At that time, Joseph asks the chief cupbearer for help.

あなたが幸せになったときにはきっと私を思い出してください

When you become happy, surely you will remember me.

私に恵みを施してください

Please grant me grace.

私のことをパルに話してください

Please talk to Pal about me.

この家から私が出られるようにしてください

Please make it so that I can leave this house.

つまり自分は無実の罪でここに入れられている

In other words, I am here for a crime I didn't commit.

あなたは間もなく幸運が訪れて

Good luck will soon come to you.

この牢獄から出ることになります

I will be leaving this prison.

けれどもその時には私のことも思い出してください

But at that time, please remember me too.

そういうふうに彼がお願いしました

He asked for it that way.

この賢釈官長は素晴らしい解き明かしに喜んだことでしょう

The wise chief priest must have been delighted with the wonderful explanation.

十六節を見ますと今度は調理官長もう一人の方が

Looking at verse sixteen, this time the chief cook, another person, is...

その仲間の解き明かしが素晴らしいことを告げられたので

I was told that the revelation of that companion is remarkable.

自分も希望を持ったんでしょうね

I guess they had hope too.

私も夢の中で見ると

"When I see it in my dreams too."

私の頭の上に枝編みの籠が三つありました

There were three braided baskets on top of my head.

一番上の籠にはパルのために調理官が作ったあらゆる食べ物が入っていたが

The top basket contained all kinds of food prepared by the chef for Pal.

鳥が私の頭の上の籠の中からそれを食べてしまった

The bird ate it from the cage above my head.

これはどういう意味なんでしょう

What does this mean?

十八節ではその解き明かしが四節によって出されます

The explanation in verse eighteen is provided by verse four.

その解き明かしはこうです

The explanation is as follows.

三つの籠は

Three baskets are

三日のことです

It's been three days.

三日のうちにパルはあなたを呼び出し

Within three days, Pal will call you out.

あなたを木に吊るし

Hang you from a tree.

鳥があなたの肉をむしり取って食うでしょう

The birds will tear your flesh and eat it.

こちらの人の解き明かしはとんでもない解き明かしでした

The revelation from this person was an extraordinary one.

そしてその三日というのは

And that three days means

二十節にありますように

As stated in verse twenty.

パルの誕生日であった

It was Pal's birthday.

その時に特赦御赦でしょうか

Is it a special pardon at that time?

自分の家臣の罰を受けている者の賢釈勘定は特赦で許します

I will grant a special pardon to those who have been punished by their own vassals.

けれども調理官庁の方は裁かれて刑にかけられてしまう

However, the cooking authorities will be judged and punished.

ヨセフの解き明かした相当に夢が実現した

Joseph's interpretations of dreams have significantly come true.

二十三節を見ていただきますと

If you look at verse twenty-three,

ところがその素晴らしい夢の解き明かしをしてもらって

However, even if I have someone unravel that wonderful dream for me…

元の地位に戻されたその賢釈勘定は

The wise priest Kanjo, who was restored to his original position.

ヨセフのことを思い出さず

Without remembering Joseph.

彼のことをすっかり忘れてしまったとあります

"It says that I completely forgot about him."

自分の罪が許されて元の地位に戻されたその喜びで

The joy of having my sins forgiven and being restored to my original position.

賢釈勘定はもう夢中になってしまったんでしょうね

It seems that Kenshaku has already become absorbed in it.

すっかり忘れてしまった

I've completely forgotten.

ヨセフはそのまま牢に残されてしまった

Joseph was left in prison as he was.

こういう時も私たちの身にそういうことが起こったならば

If such a thing were to happen to us during times like this.

私たちはがっくりしてしまうでしょう

We will be disappointed.

あるいはその賢釈勘定を恨んでしまうかもしれません

Or you might end up resenting that wise explanation.

四十一章の一節を見ますと

When we look at a verse from chapter forty-one,

それが二年間もそのまま続いたようです

It seems that continued just like that for two years.

牢獄の中にさらに二年間もそのまま

Another two years just like that in prison.

無実の罪で閉じ込められてしまったヨセフ

Joseph, who was imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit.

彼はその時に何を感じ何を考えていたでしょうか

What was he feeling and thinking at that time?

その二年間が過ぎましたが

Those two years have passed.

今度は四十一章の一節を見ますと

Now, let's take a look at a verse from chapter forty-one.

パローは夢を見たとあります

It is said that Parro had a dream.

最初はヨセフが自分で夢を見ました

At first, Joseph had a dream by himself.

その次は賢釈勘定と調理勘定が夢を見た

Next, the wise premonition and the cooking premonition had a dream.

その夢をヨセフは解き明かし

Joseph interpreted that dream.

この次はパローがその夢を見た

Next time, Paro had that dream.

しかも二年後にそういうことがあった

Moreover, such a thing happened two years later.

その夢というのは

That dream is

彼はナイルのほとりに立っていたところ

He was standing by the Nile.

ナイルからツヤツヤした肉付きの良い

Glossy, well-fleshed from the Nile.

七頭のメウシが上がってきて

Seven cows have come up.

足の中で草を食べていた

I was eating grass among my feet.

するとその後から

Then after that...

痩せふろった醜い七頭のメウシがまた

The ugly seven-headed calf that has grown thin again.

ナイルから上がってきて

Coming up from the Nile.

川岸にいた

I was at the riverbank.

よく太ったその牛を食べてしまった

I ended up eating that well-fed cow.

これも変な気持ちの悪い夢ですね

This is also a strange and unsettling dream, isn't it?

そこでパローが目が覚めたようです

It seems that Paro has awoken.

ところがその続きがまたありました

However, there was more to the story.

五節の男で再びパローが

The man of five sections, Palau is again.

妙な夢を見ます

I'm having strange dreams.

超えた良い七つの方法を見たときに

When I saw the seven great ways to overcome.

一本の茎に出てきた

そしてすぐその後から今度は

しなびた七つの穂が出てきた

そして後から出てきたそのしなびた穂が

よく実った七つの穂を

飲み込んでしまった

I swallowed it.

これも奇妙な夢ですけどもそこでパローは

目が覚めた

I woke up.

パロー自身もこれを見たときに

When Paro himself saw this

彼はどうにも気になって仕方がないわけですね

He can't help but be concerned about it, right?

彼はその解き明かし誰かにできないかと

He wondered if someone could solve that.

頼んだわけでしょう

You asked for it, didn't you?

当時はそういう解き明かしをするという人たちが

たくさんいたようです

It seems there were a lot of them.

呪法師とか魔術師

Sorcerer or magician

そういう人たちがたくさんいたようですけども

It seems there were a lot of people like that.

誰にもその解き明かしができない

No one can decipher that.

これはヨセフが言ったように

As Joseph said.

いろいろ解き明かしは神様がなさること

"Various revelations will be carried out by God."

神様が示してくださること

What God shows us.

パローが困っているときに

When Parro is in trouble.

あるいは怒っていたでしょうか

Or was I angry?

そのときに

At that time.

あの罪が許された

That sin has been forgiven.

賢釈官長が

Minister of Wisdom

思い出しました

I remembered.

ついにヨセフのことを思い出してくれた

Finally, you remembered Joseph.

そして9節

And then verse 9.

私は今日

I am today.

私の過ちを申し上げなければなりません

I must admit my mistake.

彼がパローに告白します

He confesses to Parro.

かつてパローが下ペラを怒って

Once, Paro got angry at the lower panel.

私と調理官長と

Me and the chief cook

自由庁の家に交流されました

I was exchanged at the Free Bureau's house.

そのとき

At that time.

私と彼は同じように夢を見ましたが

He and I had the same dream, but...

その夢には意味があった

That dream had meaning.

そしてこのヘブル人

And this Hebrew person

イスラエル人の若者が

Young people from Israel

それを解き明かしてくれて

Thank you for unraveling that.

今その通りに実現しているのです

It is currently being realized exactly as that.

そのヨセフのことを

About that Joseph.

あなたに告げることを忘れてしまっていました

I had forgotten to tell you.

というわけで

So, that's how it is.

早速ヨセフが牢獄から呼び出されます

Joseph is immediately summoned from the prison.

長い牢獄生活でした

It was a long prison life.

そこでヨセフが呼び出されましたけれども

Then Joseph was summoned.

41章の15節

Verse 15 of Chapter 41

私は夢を見たが

I had a dream, but...

それを解き明かす者がいない

There is no one to unravel it.

私は夢を見たが

I had a dream, but

あなたは夢を聞いて解き明かすという言葉が

The phrase "to hear and unravel dreams" is

というふうに

In that way.

パロがヨセフに聞きます

Paro asks Joseph.

そのときにもヨセフは

At that time, Joseph was also...

自分ができますというのではなくて

It's not about saying that I can do it.

神様がそれをなさるお方です

It is the one whom God does that.

16節

Verse 16

私ではありません

It is not me.

神様がパロの繁栄を告げてくださるのです

God tells us of the prosperity of Pharaoh.

王様の前ですから

Because it's in front of the king.

そういうふうにいいことを述べるわけですね

That's how you express good things, isn't it?

そこでヨセフが解き明かしをいたします

There, Joseph will provide the interpretation.

その解き明かしというのは

The clarification of that is

これから7年間豊作が続くでしょう

There will be good harvests for the next seven years.

ですからその7年の間に

Therefore, during those 7 years,

すべての食料を蓄えてください

Please store all the food.

その後に7年間の飢饉が起こる

A famine will occur for seven years after that.

という意味です

It means this.

同じような夢を続けてみられたということは

The fact that you could continue to see similar dreams means...

それが差し迫っていることだ

That is what is imminent.

ですからすぐにそれに対する手を打ってください

So please take immediate action regarding that.

というふうに彼はパロに信念をいたします

In that way, he is committed to his beliefs in Paral.

そうするとそういうふうに

In that case, in that manner.

こういう夢の解き明かしができる

I can unravel dreams like this.

あなた以上に知恵のある者はいないだろう

There is probably no one wiser than you.

ということで

その管理をして

今度は任されることになります

パロ王のもとで

すべてのものを管理することを委ねられた

こうしていますと

ヨセフの生涯というのは不思議なもんですね

The life of Joseph is quite remarkable, isn't it?

その家で見た夢

The dream I saw in that house.

これも神様が示してくださった夢ではないかと思いますけれども

I think this is also a dream that the gods have shown us.

その夢の家に兄弟たちに恨まれて

Resented by my brothers in that dream house.

彼はとんでもない

He is outrageous.

わざわじの夢を

A dream of hardship.

信頼を受けることになります

It will be entrusted with trust.

しかしそこでも彼は人々から信頼されるような

However, even there, he began to be trusted by the people.

そういう立派な生活を送っていた

He was living such a noble life.

そしてせっかく信頼を得たそのご主人の家で

And so, in the house of that master from whom I have finally gained trust...

奴隷としての信頼を得ていたにもかかわらず

Despite having gained trust as a slave.

奥様の家に彼は無実の罪で牢に入れられた

He was imprisoned for a crime he did not commit at your wife's house.

そこでまた夢の解き明かしはできたんですが

So I was able to unravel the dream again.

彼にとっては

For him

自身は少しも恩恵に預かれなかった

I did not benefit at all.

続いて2年間の牢獄の生活を送らなければならなかった

I had to endure two years of prison life.

でもついに神様がその陰で

But finally, the gods were behind that.

一歩一歩導いていらっしゃるということを

It means that you are guiding me step by step.

私たちは見ることができますね

We can see it, right?

エジプト王パロのもとに召し寄せられて

Summoned to the Egyptian king Pharaoh.

そこで今度は

エジプトの国のすべてのことを管理する

Manage everything about the country of Egypt.

権限を許すことができるようになりました

I have become able to grant permissions.

そういうふうに素晴らしい階段を登り始めたんですけども

I started to climb such a wonderful staircase.

先週のお話のタイトルとして

As a title for last week's story

壮大な神様の計画ということをお話ししました

I talked about the grand plan of the gods.

神様は私たち一人一人に計画を持っていらっしゃる

God has a plan for each and every one of us.

ご計画を持っていらっしゃる

You have a plan.

しかもそれはどんなに素晴らしいものか

Moreover, how wonderful it is.

私たちにはわからないけれども

We don't know, but...

神様は必ず私たち一人一人に

God will surely give each and every one of us

素晴らしいご計画を持っていらっしゃるんだと思いますね

I think you have a wonderful plan.

それにもかかわらず私たちの生涯

Nevertheless, our lifetime.

今はとてもみじめじゃないか

Aren't you very miserable right now?

そういうふうに思うときもあるでしょう

There are times when you might think like that.

けれどもそれも神様が一歩一歩

However, that's also God taking one step at a time.

ご計画の中を通らしていらっしゃる

You are passing through the plans.

その今のときは

At that moment.

たとえヨセフのように

Even like Joseph

牢獄に入れられているようなときであろうとも

Even when it feels like being locked in a prison.

神様がともにいらっしゃるならば

If God is with us

私たちはどんなところでも

We can be anywhere.

耐えることができるでしょうし

You should be able to endure it.

またそれも素晴らしい

"That is also wonderful."

次の神様の祝福の一歩であること

It is a step towards the next blessing from the gods.

そのことを知ることができますね

You can learn about that, right?

そして今これはヨセフの物語は

And now this is the story of Joseph.

ヤコブの息子たちということで

Speaking of the sons of Jacob.

ここに出てきてはいますけれども

It does appear here, but...

ヤコブというのはその父親のイサクから

Jacob received from his father Isaac.

神様の祝福の約束を受け継いでいました

We were inheriting the promise of God's blessings.

そしてそのイサクはそのまた父親である

And that Isaac is his father.

アブラハムから

From Abraham

神様の素晴らしい祝福の約束を受けていました

I was receiving the wonderful promise of God's blessings.

私たちにも神様は素晴らしい

God is wonderful for us too.

祝福の約束を与えてくださっています

You are giving us the promise of blessings.

それはイエス・キリストを信じるならば

If you believe in Jesus Christ.

私たち神から離れている罪人でさえも

Even we sinners who are distant from God.

罪が許されて神のことされ

"Sins are forgiven and one is treated as God's."

そして神の国に入れていただく

And to be allowed to enter the kingdom of God.

そこで永遠の命をもって

With eternal life there.

神と共に過ごすことができるという

It is said that one can spend time with God.

そういう壮大な神様の祝福の約束

A promise of such grand blessings from the gods.

これが私たちに与えられています

This is what has been given to us.

ヤコブに与えられたその祝福

The blessing given to Jacob.

順番に見ていきたいと思うんですけども

I would like to look at them in order.

ヤコブは当時70人の家族に増えていた時に

When Jacob's family had grown to 70 people at that time.

このヨセフの家にエジプトに移っていくことになります

We will move to this Joseph's house in Egypt.

やがてこのイスラエルの地に大基金が訪れるんですね

Soon, a great fund will come to this land of Israel.

エジプトに訪れた7年たった後の大基金

The Great Fund Seven Years After Visiting Egypt

その基金はイスラエルの方にも影響してきました

That fund has also had an impact on Israel.

そしてその時に

And at that time

実際にはヨセフがエジプトの国で全ての食料を管理する王様の次の位につけられていました

In reality, Joseph was appointed to the position just below the king, overseeing all the food in the land of Egypt.

そこへヤコブと70人の家族を呼び寄せることになります

Jacob and his 70 family members will be called there.

そしてそこで実に450年の間エジプトで暮らすことになります

And there, they will live in Egypt for as long as 450 years.

そしてその間にイスラエルの民は70人だった家族が

And during that time, the people of Israel were a family of 70 people.

約200万人の大きな国民として成長していきます

"We will grow as a large nation of about 2 million people."

そしてその間神様はイスラエルのために

And in the meantime, God was for Israel.

アブラハム・イサク・ヤコブに約束されたその土地を準備していらっしゃった

He was preparing the land promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

そこからイスラエルの人々が抜けている間に

While the people of Israel are absent from there.

その土地に住んでいた民がその土地を耕したりしていたんですけれども

The people who lived in that land were cultivating the land, among other activities.

その民たちの行いは神様の目の前に

The actions of those people are before God.

だんだんと腐れてきました

It has gradually started to rot.

見るに忍びないようなそういう堕落した状態になってきます

It has become a state of decay that is hard to bear witness to.

けれどもその時を用いて神様は

However, at that time, God...

イスラエルの民を呼び戻します

I will call back the people of Israel.

そしてイスラエルの民は神様に導かれて

And the people of Israel were guided by God.

アロノを旅してイスラエルに帰っていく

Traveling with Arono and returning to Israel.

これが旧約聖書で有名な出エジプトという出来事になりますね

This is the event known as the Exodus in the Old Testament.

そのご計画

That plan.

そして神様が約束された地にイスラエルの民を導いていかれるその道中

And on the journey where God leads the people of Israel to the promised land.

またそこに入ってからの

"After entering there again"

その素晴らしい祝福の連続

That wonderful series of blessings.

しかしその中でイスラエルの民は

However, among them, the people of Israel

繰り返し繰り返し神様に背いたり

Repeatedly turning away from God.

また悔いを食べたりいたします

I will eat regret again.

私たちの生涯もそれを読んでいきますと

If we read it throughout our lives...

比較させられてしまいますね

It makes me feel like I'm being compared.

神様がここまで忠実に私たちを招いてくださったように

As if the gods have invited us here so faithfully.

導いてくださったように

As you have led me.

またしても罪を犯してしまった

I have sinned once again.

またしても失敗をしてしまった

I have failed once again.

そういうことが起こります

Such things happen.

イスラエルの歴史は私たち自身の歩みを振り返らせる

The history of Israel makes us reflect on our own journey.

そういう様子がありますので

There seems to be such a situation.

神様が私たちのために

God is for us.

そういう記録をここに残してくださっていた

You had left such records here.

ということができるように思います

I believe that it is possible to do so.

神様のその壮大なご計画の一つ一つを

Each and every one of God's magnificent plans.

ご一緒に見ていくことにしたいと思います

ローマ人への手紙

Letter to the Romans

8章の31節の言葉を書いていただきました

I have written the words from chapter 8, verse 31.

ではこれらのことからどう言えるでしょう

So what can we say from these things?

神が私たちの味方であるなら

If God is on our side,

誰が私たちに敵対できるでしょう

Who could oppose us?

とあります

It is stated.

これはヨセフにも当てはまることでしょう

This will likely apply to Joseph as well.

でも私たち一人一人にも当てはまる言葉だと思います

But I think it's a word that applies to each one of us.

たとえヨセフが兄弟に恨まれたように

Even if Joseph was hated by his brothers.

私たちにも当てはまることでしょう

It should apply to us as well.

私たちが誰かの恨みを買うことがあったとしても

Even if we happen to incur someone's resentment,

神が私たちの味方であるなら

If God is on our side

誰が私たちに敵対できるでしょうか

Who can oppose us?

そういう中でも神様は私たちを守り

Even in such times, God protects us.

祝福をもって導いてください

Please guide me with blessings.

それに打ち勝つことができる

You can overcome that.

今はたとえどんな状態になったとしても

No matter what state it may be in now.

そこに神様がいてくださるならば

If there is a god there.

私たちは希望を持つことができますね

We can have hope, can't we?

ご一緒にこの言葉を聞いてください

あなたが共にいらっしゃることを疑いたくなるような

そういう時に出会います

従っていくことができるように守ってください

ヨセフがどんな環境の中にあっても

あなたに信頼し

あなたが共にいてくださる

その素晴らしい恵みを

人々に明かしすることができましたように
