8月に棚卸しという本屋さんの中の並んでいる本を全部数えて

In August, we count all the books lined up in the bookstore during the inventory.

お店にある本を確定させるという作業がありまして

There is a task of confirming the books that are in the store.

ざっくり言うと

To put it roughly,

それの準備とかそれを実際にやるのとかで結構忙しかったですね

I was quite busy with the preparations for that and actually doing it.

それは電に一度の作業なんですか

かまどさんとみくのしんさんというお二人の本なんですけれども

It's a book by two people, Kamado-san and Mikunoshin-san.

それを持ってきました

こちらのみくのしんさんというのは

This refers to a person named Mikunoshin.

本を32年間32歳で32年間1冊も本を読み通したことがないという

意外にいらっしゃるのかなこういう方もとは思ったんですけど

インタビュー形式で進んでいくっていうちょっと面白い本ですね

設定自体がなかなか興味深いですよね

そういう人も今時やっぱりいるんじゃないかなっていう

電車とか乗ってても携帯とかをずっと見てる人はいるんですけど

本を読んでる人っていうのはどんどん少なくなってて

The number of people reading books is steadily decreasing.

10人に1人ぐらいたまにその電車の中で本を広げてる人が多いんですよね

About one in ten people sometimes spread out a book on that train.

それも若い世代で本を広げてると

それも本読みまくっているすごい人じゃなく

初めて本を読む人へのインタビューっていうところが
