他 from Radiotalk

I'm Kinueko, a manga artist in my 40s.

Today, I think I will respond to a prompt using the topic gacha.

First one, then.

Is there something that gets you excited when you find it at an izakaya?

Yay!

I really love izakayas.

Especially the part with the Cheetens is nice.

There are a lot of varieties and they're quite affordable.

But I think most of you are familiar with "Solitary Gourmet".

That's the kind of place where Goro-san from "Solitary Gourmet" would likely go.

I like small izakayas in back alleys.

So, the things that get you excited at an izakaya in those kinds of places are definitely...

It's a rolled omelette, isn't it?

Tamago-yaki is everywhere, but doesn't it taste quite different?

I make it myself, but I don't think my omelet is very delicious.

But I really love omelets.

I mean, I like eggs.

So at home, I mainly make boiled eggs.

It's like making a boiled egg.

I want to peel the boiled ones and shape them like that.

I usually eat that at home.

The egg omelet I make at home is really not very good.

Eating the tamagoyaki from the izakaya outside really lifts my spirits!

So generally, it's almost never bad.

That's a bit strange, isn't it?

I guess you're doing it properly after all.

What do you call something that is this thin?

It's about cooking it thinly and then rolling it up and up and up.

That's difficult, you know.

To achieve that texture, we definitely need to bake it thin and then roll it up.

I really can't do that.

It's kind of short-term, isn't it?

So I'm not good with things like tempura either.

I wonder if it’s taking time.

I'm really not good at neat and careful work.

It'll end up feeling rough.

Stir-fries and stews, you know.

I guess that's how it is.

The one that sounds like a splashing sound.

The simmered dish shouldn't be that bad, I suppose.

I think I can do it more carefully.

I'm quite good at that sort of thing, though.

Do you prefer the sweet type of omelette?

I like it salty.

Some people like it when there's more sugar, don't they?

I actually prefer it with quite a bit more sugar now.

Well, the reason is that...

When I was little,

The omelet that my mom makes for me.

It wasn't sweet, you know.

It’s like purely just soy sauce.

The tamagoyaki I had somewhere was sweet.

It was really delicious.

That's why I became fond of sweet tamagoyaki.

When I asked my mom to make sweet omelets,

I don't want to be called something sweet.

Oh, I see.

So I guess I'll make the sweeter one myself.

Rather than that,

It's a sweet omelette, though.

It's served with grated daikon and topped with soy sauce.

I like to eat it with sauce.

What can I say now?

I feel like I'm heading straight for soy milk sickness.

It's like balancing both, you know?

I'll just taste a little bit of the sweet stuff.

It's the one with a thin sweet taste, right?

I really like that.

So, is soy sauce called soy sauce, or is it grated daikon?

Let's eat together.

And then again, a little like this...

It’s like adding some kind of accent.

I really like it.

Ah, I wonder which one everyone likes.

I would like to try taking statistics, wouldn't you?

Savory omelet faction and sweet omelet faction.

But somehow, most households...

I feel like there are a lot of sweet omelets.

Everyone I know.

They say they prefer that sweet one.

People of the salty faction are really something else, aren't they?

Your opinion.

It's more of a reflection on why I like salty things.

I would like to know the reason behind that, you know.

I’ve always been eating salty things, I guess.

I don't dislike it, though.

It's really not outside, is it?

After all, the tamagoyaki you eat at places like that restaurant or izakaya...

It's generally a bit sweet, right?

I think it's because the dash stock itself doesn't really add much flavor to the tamagoyaki.

I grew up in the countryside.

Everything was sour, you know.

Like at grandma's house, too.

Everything I ate was just really salty.

Because they are kids, they like things that are heavily seasoned.

Well, that was not a problem at all.

Um, I'm currently being taken care of.

Well, the teacher at the assistant position...

The rice is really delicious.

Well, I really only go to the moon a little bit.

In a couple of days or so.

And at that time, we are served rice.

That's something the teacher's mother made.

That rice always has really good dashi.

It has a nice broth flavor.

I really like it that way, with a light flavor.

Not easy, huh?

It's difficult to manage that at home.

I suddenly realized something.

While tasting it, I wondered if it might be too thin or too thin.

Sometimes it ends up a bit too strong.

I try to be careful as much as possible.

The balance there is a bit tricky.

The dish properly uses a good broth.

Made from kombu and bonito.

The taste of the broth that comes out is really a natural feeling.

It has a gentle, gentle feeling, doesn't it?

But I'm already on that dashi base.

Because I'm a kid who really loves you.

I can put in a thousand times more, you know.

Even if it just tastes like the flavor of the broth base.

It's totally fine.

I think that is delicious.

Thank you, Aji no Moto.

There are other things besides the flavoring, though.

Well then, is there another topic?

Um, is this it?

At what age do you think someone becomes an uncle or aunt?

That's the theme, isn't it?

Is this good enough now, applause?

At what age do you think someone becomes an uncle or aunt?

It's about...

I think this person is an uncle or aunt.

I think it’s from the moment you recognize it.

How should I put it, I'm already...

It's because he's an uncle or because she's an aunt.

There are moments, aren't there?

It's like when I'm talking to younger people.

For example, in your late 20s.

Youths in their teens and junior colleagues around the age of twenty.

When I talked with someone like that at work

Suddenly, it's like a puff.

I wonder if it means to lighten the burdens on my shoulders.

It's kind of strange, but it's really like this.

I have to do my best, I have to do my best, I have to do my best.

It feels like the moment I've been freed from that.

uncle and aunt

Since the time I felt like I was an aunt.

I think it's probably an uncle and an aunt.

I think that's still completely possible even in your 20s.

Don't feel that way anymore; you can still go on.

If you think about it, before you know it, you'll be in your 40s or 50s.

I don't think they're aunt and uncle.

I think it's a sense that depends on the person.

From an objective viewpoint, looking at myself in reality among the people around me...

I'm already an aunt, you know.

People in their 40s often think to themselves that they are still very young.

If there is someone who is thinking that way

Then I think that person is fine with that.

Even though that person is old, I wonder...

I don't think of it as being an old man.

What does the person themselves say?

It's like I'm just constantly looking ahead to my younger days.

It feels like I have to keep running at an amazing dash non-stop.

It's the moment of being released from that.

There are moments when I think I should just relax and take it easy.

In such times, it's a sense of reassurance.

It suddenly feels a lot easier.

So that's why we call them uncle and aunt.

By convincing ourselves.

Various things that I had to do myself.

It's about discarding everything, including things that couldn't be achieved.

What can I say?

There is a moment when you are liberated.

I don't think it's such a bad word.

I'm not saying this to belittle myself or anything.

I am already at a higher level, or rather...

Let's conclude that stage.

I'm thinking about doing something different now.

It feels like that's the stage we're at, I guess.

That's right.

For some reason, Grandpa...

"It's really because of my own situation, whether I'm a grandpa or a grandma."

Grandpa and grandma have grandchildren and such, you know.

People like that no longer think about themselves.

It's not just because they're grandparents.

Also, separately, uncles and aunts.

The moment we recognize ourselves

Somehow, like...

I wonder how I should say this.

It's difficult, but...

But we've really already passed that stage.

I think it feels like a sort of confirmation for myself.

I think it feels something like that.

So like this

I kept running forward without looking to the side or behind me.

Just walking a little and looking back.

Well, it's really easy to understand.

It's a common saying, but...

The moment I felt like I was looking back a little.

I feel like I've gotten a little older.

I think you can feel it, right?

Ah, this one.

Oh, I see, it's already this time, huh?

Ah, this is the usual pattern.

"You're already talking that much."

Maybe two.

I guess I can barely manage to tackle about two topics.

This topic gacha is pretty interesting, isn't it?

There are quite a few difficult topics, aren't there?

If you were to be reborn, what would you want to be?

If I were to be reborn, what would be good?

I thought there really isn't an option to not want to be reincarnated.

When this life is over for me

In that case, it's as if consciousness is interrupted.

It will disappear, but...

I don't really have a strong desire to be born as anything in particular next time.

I feel like I want to be done with it already.

It's becoming somewhat of a hopeless story.

Well, if I had to choose, I guess animals are the best.

I wish to be reborn as a cute pet.

I do think I want to live being cared for.

I feel like humans are a bit troublesome, so it's okay.

And then, you see,

Well, I was boiling chicken breast just now.

I was boiling chicken breast, or rather, I was making chicken ham.

The moment you stop the fire, you instantly forget what the conversation was about.

This is what it means to be an aunt, you know.

Well, I've put it together like this.

Thank you.
